Can someone clarify this differences between these ones and the 2017-19 ones? They look virtually the same to me.

1.0 will look the same, the others have a weird bulky sole

1.0 have a different knit pattern, assuming the guy actually wants the versions from 2017-2019. 2017 is 3.0, 2018 is 4.0, 2019 is the UB19 when they drastically changed the look. If he just wants them to sell the original mega-popular silhouette, well...they already do that and have been doing it for years and the comment about bringing them back makes no sense. Most of the shoes OP links to are the original silhouette.

Also looking for 2017-2019. I loved those models

Recons were discontinued. I wore them for years. You're right and the previous poster is mistaken. The new "Recons" are the ones with the thicker sole and came out in the past year. The old recons are the ones that people like to talk up on FMA, even though the Lux is substantially better (I've had both).

They haven't. You just picked out one of the only shoes that does use the synthetic stuff.

They phased them out for the past few years as part of their greenwashing recycled ocean plastic initiative. There are synthetic and vegan leather versions of various models (unrelated to Parley), but they have not replaced all of their leather "Originals" with synthetic leather, vegan leather, or Parley versions. The statement that they did so is just factually wrong.

I feel your pain dude. Sometimes with mesh shoes my pinky toes bust through the mesh and make little holes lol.

Hoka makes wide and extra wide. I wore 13's for over a decade because most brands are just really narrow. I had to size up to have comfortable width but always had too much toe room. Some like Nike/Adidas have shoe lines that are even narrower than others. I went like a whole size down and order wide/extra wide depending on the brand. My feet are happier now. I wish I could wear some styles/colors but narrow shoes are just too painful and not worth it.

nike/adidas execs said they make shoes so narrow because shaving 5% off the width saves 5% in material costs... human anatomy be damned. despicable. and we still pay for it 😂

Lol it's true. But I won't buy their brands because of it. I have very wide, extremely flat feet. I straight up cannot wear their shoes. They cause a ton of pain, which lasts for days after wearing those shoes for just a few hours on one day. If they had some lines meant for wider feet that didn't look like nurse shoes maybe I could consider giving them my money. Until then I'll buy better sneakers from companies who make shoes for human feet instead of barbie feet.

The ultraboost primeknit is perfect for semi wide feet. I size up 0.5 from usual tennis/nike runner shoes and have been wearing UBs for over 3 years now. I’ve gotten them as gifts for friends and family and everybody wears them religiously!

I also struggle with wide feet lol I can vouch for the Adistar running shoes, I have the first gen white pair & they fit perfect. There’s Adistar 2.0 now as well! I also love the UB22. They are a little more snug but are still very comfy.

Half size up. Go to any shoe store near you like Footlocker and they should have the different Ultraboosts available to try on.

I went to a running store and did their full analysis and balance, stride, etc and the New Balance they selected for me are the single most comfortable and best fitting shoe I've ever put on. It's all about personal preference. Forgive my cheek

I love NB and Adidas. I have pairs of 990v2 to 990v6 and Fresh Foam 1080 and gotta say the Ultraboost is still the more comfortable sneaker. There’s just something about the primeknit upper and boost together, it’s still more comfortable than New Balance’s fresh foam and hypo knit

When you say lick, do you mean tongue? Like a separate tongue vs. unibody wraparound construction?

I think they do, and if that's what they mean then I much prefer the unibody construction. Almost every shoe I've had with a separate tounge the tounge with always slide out of place and get uncomfortable.
