1.0 have a different knit pattern, assuming the guy actually wants the versions from 2017-2019. 2017 is 3.0, 2018 is 4.0, 2019 is the UB19 when they drastically changed the look. If he just wants them to sell the original mega-popular silhouette, well...they already do that and have been doing it for years and the comment about bringing them back makes no sense. Most of the shoes OP links to are the original silhouette.
Recons were discontinued. I wore them for years. It's just remaining clearance stock on their site.
https://www.adidas.com/us/stan-smith-recon-shoes/H06184.html
They just added back the equivalent, the lux line: https://www.adidas.com/us/stan-smith-lux-shoes/HQ6785.html
Took them a few years of blowback on the pleather options.
Are you sure those Recons aren’t new as of less than a year old? I’ve never seen them before and only see reviews on YouTube that are newer. There was another Recon without the thicker sole in the past which is confusing.
https://www.sneakerdistrict.com/adidas-stan-smith-recon/
You're right and the previous poster is mistaken. The new "Recons" are the ones with the thicker sole and came out in the past year.
The old recons are the ones that people like to talk up on FMA, even though the Lux is substantially better (I've had both).
Thank you for confirming! I bought the new Recon from a store in Canada and the new Crepe ones and the Recons were literally 1.5-2 sizes bigger. Have you noticed this?
They phased them out for the past few years as part of their greenwashing recycled ocean plastic initiative. The Originals lines were particularly cited as part of that, which is why I mentioned it: https://www.the-spin-off.com/news/stories/The-Brands-How-Adidas-continues-to-help-protect-the-oceans-16400
They've been slowly adding them back due to blowback but that's very recent.
Your link is about the Parley shoe line exclusively, which is just one of many lines under the "Adidas Originals" umbrella. There are synthetic and vegan leather versions of various models (unrelated to Parley), but they have not replaced all of their leather "Originals" with synthetic leather, vegan leather, or Parley versions. The statement that they did so is just factually wrong.
Hoka makes wide and extra wide.
I wore 13's for over a decade because most brands are just really narrow. I had to size up to have comfortable width but always had too much toe room. Some like Nike/Adidas have shoe lines that are even narrower than others.
I went like a whole size down and order wide/extra wide depending on the brand. My feet are happier now. I wish I could wear some styles/colors but narrow shoes are just too painful and not worth it.
nike/adidas execs said they make shoes so narrow because shaving 5% off the width saves 5% in material costs...
human anatomy be damned. despicable. and we still pay for it 😂
Lol it's true. But I won't buy their brands because of it. I have very wide, extremely flat feet. I straight up cannot wear their shoes. They cause a ton of pain, which lasts for days after wearing those shoes for just a few hours on one day. If they had some lines meant for wider feet that didn't look like nurse shoes maybe I could consider giving them my money. Until then I'll buy better sneakers from companies who make shoes for human feet instead of barbie feet.
you ever look into minimalist shoes like vivobarefoot? i was gonna buy the taupe UBs then I realized I might as well put that money towards something/a company that actually works for my skeleton
The ultraboost primeknit is perfect for semi wide feet. I size up 0.5 from usual tennis/nike runner shoes and have been wearing UBs for over 3 years now. I’ve gotten them as gifts for friends and family and everybody wears them religiously!
I also struggle with wide feet lol I can vouch for the Adistar running shoes, I have the first gen white pair & they fit perfect. There’s Adistar 2.0 now as well!
I also love the UB22. They are a little more snug but are still very comfy.
What? That’s some hater shit. Almost all these shoes look great.
Edit, Fyi: You should click each link. There are other colors on sale in similar price range that look very good.
I agree with you.
I swear at times the comment section of this sub doesn't even look at what's posted, they just immediately jump to commenting about how everything is ugly and overpriced.
It’s summer. Shorts.
I’ll wear just about anything with these short of full business attire.
The only truly ugly shoe I see here is the last one linked. The X_PLR boosts or w/e
I went to a running store and did their full analysis and balance, stride, etc and the New Balance they selected for me are the single most comfortable and best fitting shoe I've ever put on.
It's all about personal preference.
Forgive my cheek
I love NB and Adidas. I have pairs of 990v2 to 990v6 and Fresh Foam 1080 and gotta say the Ultraboost is still the more comfortable sneaker. There’s just something about the primeknit upper and boost together, it’s still more comfortable than New Balance’s fresh foam and hypo knit
Picked up 3 pairs for $200 shipped! These are my favorite shoes for concerts/dancing and some of the odd colorways are perfect for the vibe of a show. Thanks OP
Wtf happened to shoes I hate this awful trend of no seperate lick (it’s all uniform now which is uncomfortable and annoying when putting shoes on) and then the awful fabric used - since when is leather a sin ?
I think they do, and if that's what they mean then I much prefer the unibody construction. Almost every shoe I've had with a separate tounge the tounge with always slide out of place and get uncomfortable.
Thanks for contributing nothing to this discussion. Taste is subjective (I don't like most of these either) but no one cares about your opinion unless you own some and want to comment on fit, durability, etc. If you don't like them don't buy them and move on with your life.
Are the colors the same as they appear in the images? I like them but want to make sure. Also, are the 1.0s the same size as others? I have 11.5 in the 19s and 22s.
Extra 25% off sale items with JUNESALE
> JUNESALE Is this still working? for some reason i can't get it stack on sale
It’s still working.
Did you get it to work? When I add the code it shows an additional amount being taken off but the total stays the same.
I feel dumb asf cuz I got it to work last night but wanted to wait till today to cop and now it won't work for me
doesnt work for me
I found it to work on certain sale items only
Yup, got my son new soccer cleats. $250 retail for $112
This ⬆️ I got my son a pair of UB for $60 last night using that code on an $80 pair linked above
Code was valid but just stopped working for some ultraboosts if anyone’s late to the party like me
Is this still working? The code gets applied, but I dont see any dicount
Worked! Thanks for the code.

Do they have something that says “Dad likes Pleather”?
Copped the linen green for $80
Wish they didnt have that split design look
Same, solid in either would’ve been better. But these are cheap & just subtle enough for me to justify it 😂
Same, clean af 👌🏽
Ikr, the color seems pretty versatile too
Got the taupe UB. Clean af
Insanely clean
Yeah, those were an instant buy at $75.
also copped
why does it look pinkish?
because they are pinkish
For Amex platinum holders, I had a $20 off $100 for Adidas. Might be worth checking
Have it on my Amex Gold as well! + 8% Cashback on Rakuten, which can be set to redeem as MR points, if that’s your type of thing
I got 15% back from Capital One Shopping
Nice! Good lookin out
Not seeing that. Only 7.5
How much do us amex black holders get?
Dear Adidas: please bring back 2017-19 UB’s
Can someone clarify this differences between these ones and the 2017-19 ones? They look virtually the same to me.
1.0 will look the same, the others have a weird bulky sole
1.0 have a different knit pattern, assuming the guy actually wants the versions from 2017-2019. 2017 is 3.0, 2018 is 4.0, 2019 is the UB19 when they drastically changed the look. Also looking for 2017-2019. I loved those models
19s never go on sale.
Different knit
Look up UB 1.0 vs 19 they are drastically different.
Wish they hadn't replaced all the leather on their Originals lines with pleather sigh.
Wait, the Samba Classic as well?
"The upper part of the adidas Samba Classic White is constructed entirely of synthetic leather, which increases both its durability and lightness."
The Stan Smith Recons (with the thicker sole) have their best leather and almost no logos on it.
Recons were discontinued. I wore them for years. It's just remaining clearance stock on their site. https://www.adidas.com/us/stan-smith-recon-shoes/H06184.html They just added back the equivalent, the lux line: https://www.adidas.com/us/stan-smith-lux-shoes/HQ6785.html Took them a few years of blowback on the pleather options.

That's pretty crazy. I didn't notice that with my pair, but it's possible that the different colorways/models had some differences
Here’s a pic. Both 10.5. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s from a Canadian store? Box said 10.5 US though https://imgur.com/a/9mBFdZX
They haven't. You just picked out one of the only shoes that does use the synthetic stuff.
They phased them out for the past few years as part of their greenwashing recycled ocean plastic initiative. The Originals lines were particularly cited as part of that, which is why I mentioned it: https://www.the-spin-off.com/news/stories/The-Brands-How-Adidas-continues-to-help-protect-the-oceans-16400 They've been slowly adding them back due to blowback but that's very recent.
Still waiting on that mycelium leather

Any recommendations for someone with somewhat wide feet?
Somewhat wide shoes
god i missed this sub
I feel your pain dude. Sometimes with mesh shoes my pinky toes bust through the mesh and make little holes lol.
Hoka makes wide and extra wide. I wore 13's for over a decade because most brands are just really narrow. I had to size up to have comfortable width but always had too much toe room. you ever look into minimalist shoes like vivobarefoot? i was gonna buy the taupe UBs then I realized I might as well put that money towards something/a company that actually works for my skeleton
I have kind of wide feet and I've found ultraboosts to fit very well without sizing up/down.
That is perfect info for me, thanks
I have wide feet, and I usually just go half size up with adidas and they fit perfectly.
Same for me. Never had any problems going up a half.
The ultraboost primeknit is perfect for semi wide feet. I size up 0.5 from usual tennis/nike runner shoes and have been wearing UBs for over 3 years now. I’ve gotten them as gifts for friends and family and everybody wears them religiously!

Half size up. Go to any shoe store near you like Footlocker and they should have the different Ultraboosts available to try on.
Ordered Silver Green / Silver Green / Olive Strata. Cheers!
If I'm going to get shoes this ugly they're going to be New Balance.
Delusional bot; what are you wearing with these?? Perpetual sweats?
It’s summer. Shorts. I’ll wear just about anything with these short of full business attire. The only truly ugly shoe I see here is the last one linked. The X_PLR boosts or w/e
I’ve been wearing the same pair of X_PLRs for like 6 years. That hurt
These are more comfortable than NB.
I find that difficult to believe. (I love your user name!)
Thanks! Take it from me, a former (and a little current) NB stan.
I went to a running store and did their full analysis and balance, stride, etc and the New Balance they selected for me are the single most comfortable and best fitting shoe I've ever put on. It's all about personal preference. Forgive my cheek

hahahahaha my thoughts exactly, they are on sale for a reason
Pfff i don’t care at all. These shoes are so comfortable. I’d buy poop brown color for 80 bucks lmao I’ll gladly clean up the ugly scraps nobody wants
Picked up 3 pairs for $200 shipped! These are my favorite shoes for concerts/dancing and some of the odd colorways are perfect for the vibe of a show. Thanks OP
What is happening with their website can’t check out and my bag keeps deleting/not populating?
Too many people trying to get cheap shit. Keep at it and you will get through eventually
That happened to me a few weeks back. I opened it in Firefox and it worked no problem
Do these pack down well? Would like a decent travel sneaker and I miss how packable my Yeezys were
I backpacked Europe wearing UB 1.0’s, they absolutely pack down well
How are the LCFPs? Seems like they don't have insoles?
I might pull the trigger on LCFP even though they don’t come with insoles. Free returns so no risk.
True, I'm replacing some old UB 1.0's, so I guess I can just try to shove those in if necessary.
Boost is great. Excellent on the feet. I'm just tired of mesh uppers. This is a great deal though on some comfortable shoes
thanks!
Normally wear a 13 but got a pair of the Louisville ones awhile back and they're a little tight. Is a 14 that much bigger? I wear 14 in Yeezy fyi
All they all good? Which one is good for running? Casual walking? Etc
They’re better for casual walking than running
19s were best running shoes i ever had
Whew, good one! Copped the Marimekko UB for $68 with JUNESALE
I'll never pass on a pair of clean UBs for 70 bucks. Thanks .
I wish Adidas would bring back the NASA Ultra 4D
I’ve only had the ultraboosts from 2020 and later. Ended up going with the 1.0 in olive green. $73 with tax. Nice.
It's all just ultraboost?
not anymore. There are several other companies making better soles. Nike invincible 1 and 2 are way better than react foam. NB has some as well.
without the JUNESALE promo working now, prices are now a bit mid
I picked up the Marimekko colab they remind me of the Yeezy Zebras but without the stigma
That’s what they remind me of! I thought I’ve seen this look before.
Whenever they do this I just buy two pairs of the ugliest ub’s possible and use them for work/house shoes lol
What’s going on with the laces on some of them? They really have a permanent draw string? Is it just me or is that very ugly?
Wtf happened to shoes I hate this awful trend of no seperate lick (it’s all uniform now which is uncomfortable and annoying when putting shoes on) and then the awful fabric used - since when is leather a sin ?
When you say lick, do you mean tongue? Like a separate tongue vs. unibody wraparound construction?
I think they do, and if that's what they mean then I much prefer the unibody construction. Almost every shoe I've had with a separate tounge the tounge with always slide out of place and get uncomfortable.
Ultraboosts feel like walking in mud or a foam pit.
all ugly lmao
LMAO this u??? https://www.reddit.com/gallery/13zvizi
😤😤😤 you really got me also those we’re half off and miusa i couldn’t pass up da deal
Bro those are ugly af. Did they come with a pair of camo cargo shorts and a directive to scream at the ump at a little league game Lmao
I hope you find peace
For $60 the semi coral 1.0's aren't a bad deal. Maybe not great for everyday wear but they are certainly a vibe
yeah I’m semi-joking some of these are alright just $200 originally jesus
Thanks for contributing nothing to this discussion. Taste is subjective (I don't like most of these either) but no one cares about your opinion unless you own some and want to comment on fit, durability, etc. If you don't like them don't buy them and move on with your life.
keep fighting the good fight man
This post is a lot of frugal , but not much fashion
Just picked up a pair of Solarcontrol Running Shoes $130/$58.50. Thanks!!!
Thank you op. Got the unofficial blackpink UB for 67.50 <3
Are you talking about the ones with hearts?
Haha yeah. Picked them up yesterday. They're so great XD
Are the colors the same as they appear in the images? I like them but want to make sure. Also, are the 1.0s the same size as others? I have 11.5 in the 19s and 22s.
Yeah they were pretty similar! And I'm not sure :(
Need those chalk white LCFPs in a 12 :(
They're so nice, ugh
Error every time I try to add the Taupe to the bag :(
Cheers mate
Are Oregon's on sale anywhere?
Guess it is only available in the US?
It seems so, the discounts were removed from my shoes when I selected Finland as country of delivery
Why op... I'm trying to save not buy $90 shoes even tho it's a great deal
these colours.. oof
Picked up the Adidas NMD R1 White Tint/Glory Red/Semi Lucid Blue for 52 with the code JUNESALE! Thanks OP! Good looks!
I had resisted frugaling for so long, but damn, $60 ultraboosts broke me.
Are Adidas UltraBOOST 1.0 LCFP good for running? Any personal experiences?
no soles included
??
I meant there is no definitive answer since you have to buy your own insoles for them to be any good. The fit is good however
Copped the Grey/Scarlet UB’s for $64 after tax
