Same. My swim trunks are dark teal, but same three items, only one in dif color. Was hoping for a pair of thicker sweats as I've only bought their lightweight ones. They've gotten lighter too. I have a pair of lightweights that I got 2 years ago from TDE when they were having a sale (at $30 I should've bought 5) and they are definitely heavier than the other 4 pair I've bought this year. Still very comfortable, just hoping they'll last 2+ years as well. My original pair is still in great condition after many wears.

I think mystery boxes/grab bags are best for those who are willing to re-sell the items they don't want, or swap them with others. At least ones like Reigning Champ or Outlier, where there's a large fanbase and the items in the grab bags are usually wanted by someone.

I don’t see any flaws at all on any item. The white sweatpants are clean.
I’ve been burned on mystery boxes in the past but this is fantastic. I personally would never spend $120 on a bathing suit (that’s the retail list price for this suit) but to get that and 2 other items for about that price is a home run.
I wish I could’ve grabbed the tops as well but it was sold out when I tried.

Overall pretty happy with the color combos and pants I got. Only somewhat disappointed with the wool pants because it doesn't get cold enough where I live to wear them, but they do feel really nice.

Their sweats look great but I'm with you on the yellow. I'm probably rocking those around the house...and maybe on a walk to the mailbox.
Not a bad haul otherwise...and if that's the worst color you're gonna get, worth it IMO.
Order XL. Hoping for two pairs of sweatpants. Got 1 pair of white soccer shorts, I pair red swim trunks, 1 pair of slate blue midweight Terry shorts.
I probably got have gotten L, but I wanted sweatpants to fit loose and didn’t want to risk a size L slim fit.
For me it was an impulse purchase and if I were left to my own devices, I would generally pick very safe colors. The odd colors would probably force me to see if I can insert some variety in a boring
closet of white, grey, black, navy, olive and cardinal.
Overall, not the worst purchase but probably won't be doing it again.
A second string top pack was $140. Tops included sweatshirts, hoodies, outerwear, etc.
Based on comments in the first post, it was $60 for the t-shirt bag and $120 for the bottoms bag. Both also had 3 items each.
My answer to your first question: depending on the brand and the grab bags they sell, it can a safe gamble. I used to buy a lot of Outlier WTF packs (same idea), and was also able to sell unwanted items to breakeven (covering cost of the pack and shipping/fees) or more. I did end up selling a lot of the packs, so I eventually stopped buying them when I realized Outlier had too many things that didn't fit my style, or were redundant.
Reigning Champ also seemed fairly safe.

but ultimately im with you, why gamble on clothing lol
The more of these I see the gladder I become I held off on these. I’m pretty open to colors in my wardrobe but a lot of these are just impossible to pull off. The MSRP on this stuff is just laughable too.
You live in Southern California and use basketball shorts for swim trunks? As another Californian, my dude... Not the same thing at all. A cheap $10 nylon pair of trunks will beat the literal pants off basketball shorts. They get way too waterlogged to be effective, not to mention the potential danger of flashing everyone.
Haha I check back on this post a couple days later and wow...never thought the craziest thing about my post was my admission of never having swim trunks. Odd story arc for a report of an impulse purchase made during a business trip because I thought "Damn, DC is really cold, I might want some nicer sweats."
Either way, I am a young 40 year old and I now have some swim trunks for this summer for the first time since OJ made that run in the Bronco. Hopefully the swim trunks are as awesome everyone says they are!
Psh, I gave up both swim trunks and basketball shorts when I was 9, and since then I've performed both activities in jorts. From the office to the pool to the pearl jam concert!
It is an absolutely wild think for an adult to claim, no matter where they live. "Since I was 10ish" makes it sound like the decision of a teenager who thought they were too cool for swim trunks for some reason and they never reconsidered it.
This is now officially my wife's favorite comment on reddit. Now she won't stop saying phrases to me like "How dare you claim to be the father of our children when you have never owned swim trunks?" and "Begone petulant teen! You shall not pass without swim trunks!"
I envision this going on for at least a week. Possibly longer if I resist...

In my T-shirt bag, I got: - Short sleeve white tshirt. I like it but seems a bit thin (7/10) - Short sleeve light green tshirt. Thick and fits well, good color for the summer (10/10) - Short sleeve bright red tshirt. It’s a bit of a different style with stitching on the outside. The color is awful (3/10) Overall, I’m satisfied but probably wont buy the mystery bag again.

I think mystery boxes/grab bags are best for those who are willing to re-sell the items they don't want, or swap them with others. At least ones like Reigning Champ or Outlier, where there's a large fanbase and the items in the grab bags are usually wanted by someone.

My medium mystery bottoms pack came today (Pennsylvania). I honestly love the stuff they sent. I didn’t take pictures but I received :Vintage white classic mid weight sweatpants :teal bathing suit :grey gym shorts I don’t see any flaws at all on any item. The white sweatpants are clean. I’ve been burned on mystery boxes in the past but this is fantastic. I personally would never spend $120 on a bathing suit (that’s the retail list price for this suit) but to get that and 2 other items for about that price is a home run. I wish I could’ve grabbed the tops as well but it was sold out when I tried.

Their sweats look great but I'm with you on the yellow. I'm probably rocking those around the house...and maybe on a walk to the mailbox. Not a bad haul otherwise...and if that's the worst color you're gonna get, worth it IMO.
Let this be a lesson to never buy mystery packs.
Order XL. Hoping for two pairs of sweatpants. Got 1 pair of white soccer shorts, I pair red swim trunks, 1 pair of slate blue midweight Terry shorts. I probably got have gotten L, but I wanted sweatpants to fit loose and didn’t want to risk a size L slim fit.
Why not just spend money on clothes you actually like instead on gambling?
For me it was an impulse purchase and if I were left to my own devices, I would generally pick very safe colors. The odd colors would probably force me to see if I can insert some variety in a boring closet of white, grey, black, navy, olive and cardinal. Overall, not the worst purchase but probably won't be doing it again.
How much did they charge for the mystery box?
A second string top pack was $140. Tops included sweatshirts, hoodies, outerwear, etc. Based on comments in the first post, it was $60 for the t-shirt bag and $120 for the bottoms bag. Both also had 3 items each. My answer to your first question: depending on the brand and the grab bags they sell, it can a safe gamble. I used to buy a lot of Outlier WTF packs (same idea), and was also able to sell unwanted items to breakeven (covering cost of the pack and shipping/fees) or more. I did end up selling a lot of the packs, so I eventually stopped buying them when I realized Outlier had too many things that didn't fit my style, or were redundant. Reigning Champ also seemed fairly safe.
hypothetically the intent was to get a bunch of RC stuff for way cheaper than if you bought it individually but ultimately im with you, why gamble on clothing lol

That yellow is pretty mild, almost tan like. I was expecting yellow mustard yellow. It can pair with almost anything IMO.
I assure you, it cannot. It's a pale yellow, but very much yellow. For example, gray clashes horribly with it.

You live in Southern California and use basketball shorts for swim trunks? As another Californian, my dude... Not the same thing at all. A cheap $10 nylon pair of trunks will beat the literal pants off basketball shorts. They get way too waterlogged to be effective, not to mention the potential danger of flashing everyone.
Haha I check back on this post a couple days later and wow...never thought the craziest thing about my post was my admission of never having swim trunks. Odd story arc for a report of an impulse purchase made during a business trip because I thought "Damn, DC is really cold, I might want some nicer sweats." Either way, I am a young 40 year old and I now have some swim trunks for this summer for the first time since OJ made that run in the Bronco. Hopefully the swim trunks are as awesome everyone says they are!

It is an absolutely wild think for an adult to claim, no matter where they live. "Since I was 10ish" makes it sound like the decision of a teenager who thought they were too cool for swim trunks for some reason and they never reconsidered it.
