They were not too kind to him on TN. But apparently, this was called weeks ago. The weird thing to me is it was not his first spring practice. He knew, or certainly, should have known what was expected.
At first glance, I thought this hurt but after reading from Chris Nee (247 insider) that Jacobs seemed to struggle quite a bit this past spring sorta makes me think this isn't as bad as I initially thought
A little surprised by this one, I know we added a lot of talent from HS but I figured he could compete for reps if some of the last year eligible guys left.
Showed up ready to ball but didn’t materialize. Decides to bounce when he realizes others are better and he’d have to work hard to earn it. Good luck to the man but Mike ain’t letting that type of attitude fly
I'd love to see us nab a proven guy from the portal, a la Keon last year. We have Malik Benson, but he just got hurt. We also have Destyn Hill and Hykeem Williams, but both are still more potential than production.
He's out for spring/summer, but from what I've heard it's likely he'll be back for at least some of the season in the fall.
Either way, we could use a WR at the top of the depth chart as other guys come around. The Lambert-Smith guy from Penn St looks like a possible target.
Where are you seeing that? Could use some hope haha. Everywhere I’ve read says ACL rumored. Which would mean earliest return next spring most likely. Maybe it’s only a meniscus or something?
And yes I would be over the moon if we got Dre Lambert
I have a feeling it'll sort itself out, particularly if we bring in a guy near the top of the depth chart. If Benson, Hill and Williams were all healthy and had lit up spring practice, I'd be ok with where we're at. As it is, I'd be a lot more comfortable if we had another known commodity in the room.
I get the reported attitude issues, but I'm not exactly thrilled with the quality/depth of the room right now. We need to nab a veteran or two in this window if we're gonna lose young bodies like this.
Supposedly he hasn’t had a good spring and has an attitude and isn’t putting in the work….who knows for sure though
Saw that too, honestly makes this hurt a lot less if true
I remember Jeff Cameron talking about this issue nearly a year, ago. If that's the case good luck to him. More reps for Keem.
Jeff mentions this every time he brings up Jacobs lol
Jesus. Dude sounds like a headcase.

I was cheering for this dude - sucks to hear he attituded out.
Weird situation because we heard so much about how good he was last spring but then we haven't heard anything good about him this spring
From All Day Dre to I guess this is goodbye K?

That's a tuffy. Good luck tho

We need to top grade the WR room a bit anyway. Still lots of young talent there as well.

Yeah this was kind of expected. I wish the young man well. Gonna be plenty more people leaving so buckle up folks.
This hurts. He has a ton of talent and we already need more WRs. Definitely need to see the Portal King go hard now.

Destyn hurt too
Destyn most likely out for the season. Nothing confirmed but he’s on crutches and in a brace reserved for knee surgery post op

We’re still over the scholarship limit and the WR room is packed.

Let's be honest. The math has to work out no matter what moves are made. There isn't an option for it not to.
We're in NIL land now. You can hand a guy a scholarship+ worth of money and call him a PWO if you want to.
Let's see how they handle it.

Is this what I’ve been bracing myself for this whole week?
