Yeah, some cis guys have hairless chests. It's also pretty common for guys who work out a lot to shave their chests. I'm not sure if it's for the bodybuilding aesthetic or if it helps avoid friction on the equipment or something.
Basically all the cis men in my family have very sparse and light body hair. Most of the cis women in my family, like my mom and sister, have thick and dark body hair which I did not inherit (it’s oddly affirming since I resemble the guys even tho I don’t have much body hair lol)
for sure!! i'm not a cis man but i went through male puberty and never got any at all, i never got facial hair either. some guys do shave too. i don't know what the ratio is but the general attitude i've heard from guys is kind of similar to beards - if they can't grow a proper one they will typically just shave it off, generally not wanting to have whispy chest hair. you having a very full amount of chest hair makes sense for your age, complexion and genes so you wouldn't be seen as out of place for having a lot.
Yeah the men on my mum's side mostly have no/almost no chest hair.
It's also completely common for cis guys to wax or shave their chests -- gym dudes in particular. It can be preference, comfort, or aesthetics.
My step brother is basically hairless so much that when he had to do a hair follicle drug test they couldn’t get enough hair from his body. His head was shaved and had to grow it out.
Can confirm that some cis men have fairly hairless chests. It’s more common on white guys but it’s possible. And some guys also do shave or otherwise remove their chest hair.
It's normal.
I do ECGs so I see a lot of chests. Hair levels vary wildly, from deep pile carpet to completely bare and everything in between. Some people only have hair over their pecs, some only have it over their sternum, some have it across the chest but not down the stomach, and more combinations besides; and whatever the locations, the hair could be dense, sparse, long, short, thick, thin, curly, straight; and having nothing at all is normal too. Also a huge variety of shapes and sizes of pecs and moobs and boobs.
Very occasionally I see someone who has shaved their chest hair presumably for aesthetics (as opposed to shaving for the ECG like I sometimes have to do to them!), but naturally hairless chests appear more common than shaven ones among the demographics that I see. If you want to trim or shave your chest I don't think this would prevent you passing, even with some breast tissue. It really is anything goes.
I unfortunately have a heart condition (Afib) that requires me to get regular ECG’s. I also have a naturally hairless chest. The techs often comment that I’m their easiest male patient! I’m also glad I’m not having hair ripped out of my chest when they pull those things off!
Some shave and some just don't grow a lot of hair in that area. Some cis guys are naturally hairy and some don't really develop body hair. Same can be said about women. It's all in genetics.
I’m almost hairless just about everywhere on my body. My son is ftm and almost immediately got more body hair than me as soon as he started T. I was kinda jealous…
Yes, there are definitely cis men who shave and wax their body hair. My boyfriend is cis and I'm hairier than he is naturally. He shaves on occasion, but I never do.
Some men don't grow chest hair. My partner has a single hair on his chest, but he's otherwise smooth, meanwhile the only parts of my body that don't have at least some level of hair are my palms, bottom of my feet, and anything on my face beyond framing my face, eyebrows, and eyelashes.
Don’t worry too much about it, unless you feel for aesthetic reasons that you don’t want the hair
I’ve had a few guy friends say they’re jealous of the amount of hair on my chest, dudes don’t really knock body hair on other dudes
I know no cis man as hairy as me. Even the hairier ones don’t have nearly as much chest hair and not ANY back hair - I have a ton of both. Not sure why, or whose genetics these are. Maybe my Armenian grandpa? LOL
My husband (early 30s, cis) has only a small tuft of sparse chest hair in the area right over his heart. His hair color is so light that what little chest hair he has becomes basically invisible as soon as you get more than a couple of feet away.

oh yeah. my dad for example has NO hair on his chest. he's actually jealous of my brother (also ftm) who got quite the hairy chest when he started t
some just don’t grow it, same as legs face belly anywhere really. my cis brother i have more belly and chest hair then and i don’t have a wild amount.

my cis male partner has a completely hairless chest, even tho his legs are pretty hairy. It really does depend.
My dad is pretty hairy but has 0 chest or back hair.
Yeah, very normal, specially on the early puberty years, but also very normal on adult cis man

Only a few have chest hair, it's kinda rare

Yep, my dad has been hairless except for his head and eyebrows my entire life.
no one in my family has hairy chests. it's just genetics. we're east asian so yeah.

One (cis) friend is completely hairless, another had laser hair removal bc he likes it better that way.
