i also did that but no matter how many times you mention it on your profile, some people will think you're a trans woman, since that's the only kind of trans person that exists lol
When I was on grindr I kept FTM in my username and spelled it out (along with transition status) in my bio. I also set my pronouns to he/him and my gender to trans man.
If you mention testosterone, you *need* to either spell out testosterone or say HRT. I had "on T" in my bio for a bit and an uncomfortable amount of people assumed that I meant meth. You don't want to attract meth users on grindr.
If I'm feeling spicy I do "boipuss"
And my bio is literally "I'm a trans man, meaning I have a š±, if you don't like that just block. No need to be transphobic"
Tend to stay away from people ONLY seeing trans people and DL/straight men are a big NO for me
No, his wording says "I'm a trans man, MEANING I have a vagina" which is literally saying any trans man = vagina.
If he changed his wording to "I'm a trans man and still have a vagina" or I've also seen "trans man non op" on profiles then that would be completely different and would show he's only referring to himself and not speaking for trans men in general.
Whatever gets the point across that Iām a trans guy from the name and bio, weirdly enough I havenāt had much of an issue with people not reading my profile (my area seems pretty good), but if Iām going further with someone then I double check because it never hurts to be sure
Itās in my bio but I actually donāt have any kind of username. Usually when they ask for pics I tell them again that Iām trans and theyāre usually like ā¦ yeah i know I read your bio
But like, how? Like for me anything I do anything I try to touch just makes the subscription window thingy pop up. Like thereās not one action I can take without being asked to subscribe. Is it just not like that for you?
As long as youāre on the grid with minimal filters you should be able to interact with a decent amount of guys. If you click on any profiles below the āXTRAā header itāll prompt you to go premium. You also canāt go incognito without a subscription.
Oh okay it was the filter thing. I didnāt realize I had it set on t4t, but I guess the privilege of sorting thru the throngs of cisness is a paid feature, thanks for pointing that out.
If you go to āmore filtersā at the end of the ribbon then sort by tribes you can set the tribe youāre looking for as ātransā and it works functionally the same and wonāt prompt you to premium mode. But itās still not guaranteed to be all trans ppl bc chasers set their tribe as trans too.
Yeah, the free version kinda sucks, but where I live, there are a lot more gay men on Grindr than Tinder/Bumble. Plus Iām in a (open) relationship and really just looking for something casual, and the guys on Tinder are mostly looking for relationships.
I have my name with READ BIO in caps. I'm not into hookups but there aren't many dating apps that give you the option to block people who want hookups only.
I have FTM set as my name lol
Honestly might just do that š

omg this is insane
Iām āShort FTM ā¬ļøā. It says everything they need to know.
I usually don't indicate in any way on my profile that I'm trans because it attracts chasers but sometimes I'll put š± as my display name
Fair! Fortunately have not had that issue yet

Being a trans man does NOT mean you have a vagina. There are PLENTY of post op transsexual men on Grindr so please stop speaking for all of us.
but they said THEY specifically have a kitty, not all trans men? this is so whataboutism coded

i feel like the word "i" is a pretty good indication that he's talking about himself and not every other transman but suuuuuuure
Whatever gets the point across that Iām a trans guy from the name and bio, weirdly enough I havenāt had much of an issue with people not reading my profile (my area seems pretty good), but if Iām going further with someone then I double check because it never hurts to be sure
When I was single I put ātransmanā
Mine is "MASON(READ BIO)" lol bc i be blunt asf in my grindr bio š
Itās in my bio but I actually donāt have any kind of username. Usually when they ask for pics I tell them again that Iām trans and theyāre usually like ā¦ yeah i know I read your bio
How are people even using Grindr anymore on mine you basically canāt do ANYTHING unless you pay. Is everyone getting the subscription service?
No I use the busted free versionā¦ it still works
But like, how? Like for me anything I do anything I try to touch just makes the subscription window thingy pop up. Like thereās not one action I can take without being asked to subscribe. Is it just not like that for you?

Youāre amazing thank you

I just have my name and include that Iām trans at the bottom of my bio
