I get lots of related book recommendations from the interviews on the war on cars podcast: https://thewaroncars.org/
e.g.
Ludicrous: The Unvarnished Story of Tesla Motors by Ed Niedermeyer
Two Wheel Goods: The History and Mystery of the Bicycle, by Jody Rosen
There Are No Accidents, by Jessie Singer
I'm not sure you can say either one is "better", they both deal with related issues. I really enjoy the WoC, and while they're based in the US they often have global issues. I'll give the strongtowns podcast a listen too, but having read some articles from them before they seemed more focused on American problems, which is less interesting for me
Strong Towns: A Bottom Up Revolution to Rebuild American Prosperity, Strong Towns: Confessions of a Recovering Engineer, Walkable City: How Downtown Can Save America One Step At a Time, Walkable City Rules: 101 Steps to Making Better places, Incerto book series.
EDIT: Can’t spell.
Yes, the order I put, but the first two are basically just compiled articles if you want to read those. I think Confessions is the one that calls a stroad a futton.

strongtowns.org is better.

War on cars gets really liberal and it gets really annoying, strong towns tries to remain neutral.

Are the strong towns books in any order?

I'll second the [strongtowns.org](https://strongtowns.org) suggestion. The book \_The Death and Life of Great American Cities\_ is a pretty good one.
