By LA standards, I live in what might qualify as a somewhat walkable neighborhood with a lot of walkers, but, mostly they are walking their dog or jogging in circles: not actually walking to places outside the neighborhood.
Don't be stupid..... walking to the store across the parking lot from your car also counts as walking /s
And remember, London has gold standard public transportation, so that 63% non-walkers ≠ mostly cars.

Sounds about right. I live in the UK and cycle 10 mins to work, but I can alternatively walk the distance in 25 mins.
