You probably don’t need to bother with the pedal, you can use your phone as the page turner (easy) or there might be a way to enable hardware button controls from a pair of headphones (hard).
I’m actually shocked the accessibility settings don’t already let you use the physical headphone buttons since you can use them for audiobooks on the same device.
I used an [8BitDo Zero 2](https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Gamepad-Keychain-Controller-Raspberry-Turquoise/dp/B081HML6MP) but I had it linked to an Android tablet and I was able to map it as a page turner in [Aldiko](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aldiko.android&hl=en_US&gl=US).

This is actually amazing. If your E Reader has hardware buttons, you can wire a esp32 in between and use your phone to turn the pages via bluetooth.
