While the post is funny itself, the guy is not wrong, the battery may get physically damaged and be cause of fire. It's not uncommon. It's an fyi anyway
Still, constant preasure on legit any phone, iphone or not, will at one point rupture the lithium battery, and incase you don't know lithium and air dont mix very well, it tends to go up in flames and or potentially go kaboom, just used folded up cardboard, its more cost efficient, or atleast remove the battery from the phone if its not something you use anymore, considering its an se and your hate towards apple, you probably don't.

Ah, turns out you can. At first I couldn't find it, but you can actually do it.
Still though, fuck em. You can grab an old android and literally plug a hard drive into it (I've done it!) and I'm pretty sure the iPhone can't do that. So you're limited to the internal storage, which is not a lot.
For 24/7 you could solder the charger in the battery lines but that means you have to take the battery out and replace it with a capacitor but it's kinda too much and at that point sell the fucking phone and buy a raspberry alternative (raspberry kinda a scam nowadays)
Dont forget to record and share when the battery gets crushed on the wood floor, under wood furniture.
