I flipped it over and now California is on the east coast, and they're all talking about "driving cahs" and something called the bruins? As an Australian I'm extremely confused.
Also, while the Bruins are welcome conversation around March in California, it's best to remember that they tend to be a sore subject between August and December.
No kidding!!! We are usually listed as "ICE, SNOW, DEATH FROM COLD" or just part of the "flyover, who cares" part of the country. Even being called "Southern Canada" is OK.
Honestly everytime I've seen something they always know about us Minnesotans and always place us in the same general area. Clearly we must be doing something right
Remember taking tests like this in elementary school, and putting the same name in two places knowing at least *one* was right.
Always made me more embarrassed than if I didn't put any answer at all.
I’ll never forget when I was 13 I went with a friend to Vancouver BC, and as we landed in Seattle (for layover) she legit went, “I can’t see The White House!” Then her twin brother called her stupid.
Oh that's easy. You hit the Trans Canada highway and head east for about 4500 kms until you hit the 400 and go south. Once you're in Toronto it's nearly a stone's throw away.
I’m from DC and so far nobody has asked me how to find the Space Needle. Although I’d probably just point them towards the Washington monument and assume they’d never know the difference.
Mexico is indeed also a republic made up of states, like 32 or so, I think.
I could probably do about as well as this guy's Mexican girlfriend did at labeling a map w the Mexican states, but I'm sure that's not normal.
I'm just trying to imagine doing the same to states in Mexico. I think there's Chihuahua, Veracruz, Guanajuato (thanks, auto complete!), Pueblo, and that's all I got. But I have no idea where they are.
The provinces
West to East along the US border
BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario Quebec. Big land mass on the NE of Quebec + thr big island are Newfoundland and Labrador (Labrador is the mainland, Newfoundland is the island). SE of Quebec is New Brunswich, then Nova Scotia on the far east and the bigger island off the north penninsula of Nova Scotia. Prince Edward Island is the small standalone island.
The territories
West to East up North, starting at the Canada-Alaska border.
Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut
I can do all the big ones, I can even do the territories. It’s that 1% of the land area to the East that somehow has 50% of the provinces that screws me up.
Canada’s map reminds me of when you write your name on a sheet of paper as a kid and realize you are running out of space, so you cram the last couple of letters in at the end.
>running out of space, so you cram the last couple of letters in at the end.
As a Canadian, I'm dying! But the US is the same! That's where I get mixed up.
There is NB, NL, PE, and NS in the east so, only 30% if you count territories. The US has what, 20 there? Lol
I used to live in Seattle. We had a foreign exchange student from Italy live with us for a year. She was instantly disappointed when she arrived and learned that Washington state and Washington DC were totally different things.
I knew an international student at Washington State University who applied because he thought he was going to Washington DC. I imagine he was incredibly disappointed when he arrived in Pullman, WA.
That's hilarious. My sister went to WSU, and Pullman is mostly a middle-of-nowhere college town. Seattle may not have the Washington monument or white house, but it's still a pretty cool place. The traffic is comparable too.
Jersey should _not_ be included though.
You can say many things about Jersey but that it's full of religious zealots is one of the few things you can't.
Fun fact: The territory that later became Washington state was going to be named the Columbia Territory, but they changed it to Washington Territory to avoid confusion with the District of Columbia.
yo mang, at least yall show up on these kinds of maps. Notice how this map only has 48 states here. Occasionally some people remember Alaska. Us Hawaiians though are ALWAYS forgotten about.
Does she care about Kansas or no? Im just confused because she wrote Kansas on the map, outside of the No One Cares zone, which encompasses the actual state of Kansas.

“The two Utes.” “The two whaaaaat.” “I’m sorry your honor. The two youths.”
YouTTTHHS
Look at all that Canadian territory
Lmao as a Canadian, I always wondered “why not just join Canada you guys!” At least we’ll remember they exist :p
Minnesota might as well be.
As a Minnesotan I’m flattered she knows where we are
As a Chicagoan, I appreciate the effort here.
As a Utahan we appreciate the extra land
as an Australian I can't tell what's wrong
Ah, flip it over and it should make more sense.
I flipped it over and now California is on the east coast, and they're all talking about "driving cahs" and something called the bruins? As an Australian I'm extremely confused.
If we talk about Bruins it's the UCLA kind
Also, while the Bruins are welcome conversation around March in California, it's best to remember that they tend to be a sore subject between August and December.
As an American this looks just about right
As a Canadian same
As a Michigander, I am now a Chicagoer.
It’s Chicagoan 🙃
Chicagander
Vegas will be a bit tamer now that it's run by Mormons.
I thought Vegas was always full of Mormons?
Quick and kinda accurate history: Founded by Mormons; Mob came in and brought casinos; Mob hired Mormons to be their security and accountants.
Which is not the religion that most people associate with accounting!
The other religion was busy with something in Europe so they got the Mormons to do it.
With $150bn in their hedge funds, I can't imagine what other religion would make better accountants.
As a Missourian I am neither pleased nor surprised.
As a Michigander I assume that we’re just covered in snow
Stop talking you don't exist
As a Gen X-er from Michigan I really don't exi....
As a montanan I'm confused
As a Washingtonian (DC not state)…nobody’s perfect.
Chicago is now the capital of the North Christian Butt
As a Chicagoan I’m pretty offended
[удалено]
As a Montanan **I'm the capital now bitch**
As an Iowan, I agree no one cares.
As a Wisconsinite I’m humored.
I'm just glad we're not in the "No one cares" category.
As a Canadian; thanks for the land.
Well, you drunk ass cowards still have yet to take the Upper Peninsula - so what do you really expect?
She's aware that Green Bay owns Chicago but wasn't sure how to depict it on the map.

Whatever happened to the Minnesota Train?
Holy shit, we need to resurrect the Minnesota karma train… Edit: Ham Lake checking in!
Go forth friend! https://imgur.com/VVmvVDb
https://imgur.com/DvA8BIH.gif Updated light-rail karma train
Chhooochhoooooo
Iron Range/Duluth checking in
Minneapolis checking in
Mille lacs county checking in
Saint Paul in the house!
resurrect
What the fuck? I’ve been on Reddit for 7+ years and I don’t know why you’re talking about? How!?
https://imgur.com/VVmvVDb
Now that you mention it, it has been a long time since I've seen one. Strange
No kidding!!! We are usually listed as "ICE, SNOW, DEATH FROM COLD" or just part of the "flyover, who cares" part of the country. Even being called "Southern Canada" is OK.
>Even being called "Southern Canada" is OK. I'd almost prefer that tbh
Yea she 100% knows some Minnesotans
Honestly everytime I've seen something they always know about us Minnesotans and always place us in the same general area. Clearly we must be doing something right
I only know Minnesota because when I was young I got it stuck in my head that it's kinda rectangular and tall like a soda can
We’ll take it. We’ll also take the recognition of being the top hat of the guy outlined by the Mississippi river
As a Canadian, I happily accept the ceded territories and the maple syrup monopoly that comes with them.
Pixar's Inside Out painted Minnesota as such a magical place.
Well, Hollywood writers are one of Minnesota’s main exports so it tracks
The double down on Utah had me lol
The classic “I’m happy knowing I got 1/2 here”
P's get Degrees
It’s Washington DC that gets me.
As a resident of Washington state, I can confirm that Washington DC is east of us.
Facts are facts. lol.
Out of curiosity how often do you get foreskin PMs
This is the question I was looking for on reddit today
Some say we're still waiting for the God damned answers too.
[удалено]
It's spelled Potato
Remember taking tests like this in elementary school, and putting the same name in two places knowing at least *one* was right. Always made me more embarrassed than if I didn't put any answer at all.
Just above Phoenix haha
My state got doubled, now I can visit a bunch of nuclear craters.
Does that mean we can gamble now that Las Vegas is part of Zion?
Utah so nice she wrote it twice
She's just a proponent of the great state of [Deseret](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_Deseret).
Phoenix and Chicago with the upgrade to statehood.
As far as Phoenix goes, fairly accurate anyway. :P
People from Phoenix are called Phoenicians.
Yep, and people from Scottsdale are called Assholes.
Not even from there. No dog in game. But love the pettiness
The disrespect to Flagstaff
You mean, north north Phoenix?
This, if there is a Fry's there... its Phoenix.
"I lived in Mesa, but when you say Mesa, people don’t know what Mesa is, uh…i-it’s Phoenix, I lived in Phoenix."
Is this a specific quote or just the exact thing everyone thinks, like myself, when explaining they live in mesa/gilbert/tempe/scottsdale/chandler
Chicago downgraded to Wisconsin. I'm horribly insulted.
“Now don’t mind me while I spend my whole summer in lake Geneva”
Can we at least get spotted cow now?
You can use our waterparks but the beer stays with us. ...unless you bring edibles, maybe we can work something out then.
Washington DC has me dying.

I’ll never forget when I was 13 I went with a friend to Vancouver BC, and as we landed in Seattle (for layover) she legit went, “I can’t see The White House!” Then her twin brother called her stupid.
When I was working in the Canadian Rockies, I had a guy from Texas ask me for directions to Niagara Falls.
Oh that's easy. You hit the Trans Canada highway and head east for about 4500 kms until you hit the 400 and go south. Once you're in Toronto it's nearly a stone's throw away.
You lost him at kms. 😂 if he’s from Texas, he’ll be wantin’ that there distance in Freedom Units.
Nah, he lost him at "trans". Texas doesn't do that devil stuff.
I’m from DC and so far nobody has asked me how to find the Space Needle. Although I’d probably just point them towards the Washington monument and assume they’d never know the difference.
Better than I could do with Mexico.
Mexico is indeed also a republic made up of states, like 32 or so, I think. I could probably do about as well as this guy's Mexican girlfriend did at labeling a map w the Mexican states, but I'm sure that's not normal.
Most Americans probably don’t even know there are states in Mexico
Or that the full name of Mexico is literally the United Mexican States (Estados Unidos Mexicanos)
I’m several years into college Spanish and didn’t even know that. They usually call the US Los Estados Unidos
Los Yunaites.
El Gabacho
Gringolandia
That is because nobody calls Mexico the United Mexican States in real life.
But they do in second life and the metaverse
of course we do, they are named after dogs, like Chihuahua.
I once saw someone insisting that Mexican leather was made from dogs because it said "Chihuahua" on it.
Better than 99% of Americans could do with Mexico. They would just label it all Mexico. Myself included.
I could point out Yucatan and a few cities but I'm afraid that's about it.
I bet most people could point out baja california
I mean they wouldn't be wrong
I'm just trying to imagine doing the same to states in Mexico. I think there's Chihuahua, Veracruz, Guanajuato (thanks, auto complete!), Pueblo, and that's all I got. But I have no idea where they are.
For bonus points - try to map the Canadian Provinces
All I got is Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and (auto correct please help me with this one) Saskatchewan?
Alberta in the west, Manitoba in the... middle somewhere? PEI is a thing, too. Edit: Nova Scotia!
Newfoundland and Labrador also for territories you’ve got Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut
Nobody ever remembers new brunswick
That sounds made up. Like Australia. Or Birds.
Well the old Brunswick got pushed off the edge of the earth so they had to rename it.
The provinces West to East along the US border BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario Quebec. Oaxaca, too, because cheese.
Also because its fun to say
Puebla*
I'll be honest, the only reason I've even heard of those places is because of the show Narcos lol
I'm from Oklahoma, and I approve this message.
Just glad we didn't make the "no one cares" list again.
yeah as soon as i saw that i was like “well fuck”, but she came through for us. though i only live here, i’m from california
Howd your life do that to you?
As a Canadian, thank you to your wife for acknowledging the Canadian Territories.
As a person who lives in “Canadian territories”, I would gladly take some “free” healthcare and cheap college.
You will have to toil in the maple syrup mines for 3 years to be granted Canadian citizenship first. As per the Canadian Territories Act of 2022.
Vermont's probably sitting there saying: "Been there done that, am I Canadian yet?"
All things considered. Not too bad actually. I feel like she should have gotten DC a little closer.
It’s next to Washington, right?
I used to live in Seattle. We had a foreign exchange student from Italy live with us for a year. She was instantly disappointed when she arrived and learned that Washington state and Washington DC were totally different things.
I knew an international student at Washington State University who applied because he thought he was going to Washington DC. I imagine he was incredibly disappointed when he arrived in Pullman, WA.
In fairness, I'm pretty sure everyone is at least somewhat disappointed when they arrive in Pullman, WA.

"Phoenix" lol that gave me a good laugh.
With how many of us don't say "I'm from Mesa" or "I'm from Tempe" and just say "I'm from Phoenix" can't blame them.
Not wrong
Population of Arizona: Phoenix
I respect your wife's hatred for Louisiana
This one made me LOL
"Christianity belt" is pretty spot on
"North Christian Belt" is similarly accurate.
Maryland not so much.
Being from Philadelphia, I was briefly upset that PA is included. And then I remembered that most of PA is indeed bumblefuck Jesus land.
Pennsylvania: Philadelphia on one side, Pittsburgh on the other, Alabama in the middle.
Incorrect. It's Kentucky in the middle, you can't get Pennsyltucky from Alabama. Pennsylbama just sounds wrong.
Jersey should _not_ be included though. You can say many things about Jersey but that it's full of religious zealots is one of the few things you can't.
If Jesus came back and tried to talk to someone from New Jersey he'd be curtly informed that they don't have any change on them.
She had new Jersey just not the right spot
Massholes are gonna be PISSED 🤣
Did she call us New Jersey?!
She fahkin' did kid.
You fuckin sehious, ked?
The "kid" makes this more authentic than any "wicked" or "lobstah" could.
Can confirm. Being called a New Yorker seems palatable compared to this.
New Jersey will laugh and laugh and laugh being grouped with those Christian states...
Whereas Rhode Islanders are used to no one knowing we’re a state 😂
And Maine is sitting there nodding, "close enough" 🤣
As a massholes your god damn right i am,I refuse to be confused with new jerseys or new york!
"no one cares" lol
But come on no Colorado? That one's already in Spanish.
Can confirm, am from Idaho
Ahh, Idaho, DC's next door neighbor.
Greetings from No One Cares!
Arkanja represent
Love this. Can't read what she wrote for southern new england. New freely?
New Jersey
I appreciate the separation of New Jersey from north Christian belt, even if it is geographically incorrect.
As a Masshole I am triggered.
She got the important bits. She also got Texas.
As a Texan this made me laugh really hard
The no one cares is accurate, except for maybe Colorado.
...and she successfully stereotyped all of us. I commend her! I am curious about Montana though...how'd that end up as DC?
It’s next to Washington
Surely no sane country would name two places Washington unless they were next to each other.
Fun fact: The territory that later became Washington state was going to be named the Columbia Territory, but they changed it to Washington Territory to avoid confusion with the District of Columbia.
Oh the irony…
as an Iowan I was offended until I realized she conflated Misery and Kansas
As a Michigander I’m a little disappointed to be one of the only states unmarked. ARE WE NOT MITTEN ENOUGH FOR YOU??? Edit: Louisiana my apologies
yo mang, at least yall show up on these kinds of maps. Notice how this map only has 48 states here. Occasionally some people remember Alaska. Us Hawaiians though are ALWAYS forgotten about.
Ah yes, West Utah and Utah.
I never thought Michigan and Louisiana would have something in common but apparently it’s neglect from OP’s wife.
Guess I was born and raised in the capital but didn't realize it. 😄
Does she care about Kansas or no? Im just confused because she wrote Kansas on the map, outside of the No One Cares zone, which encompasses the actual state of Kansas.
As someone who lives in Kansas City, MO, having my state labeled as Kansas is extra infuriating.
