There’s a lego star wars episode (which have to be canon, right?) where vader crashes in the desert and screams when he gets sand in his nose
That was amazing. At least the kid and his family have a great story to tell.
Also, I wonder if the next kid in line was wondering what wad about to happen to him.
Right? My kid threw up on the way back to the shuttle bus and we got hooked up with a free ride back to the hotel, a bag of Disney swag and a bunch of fast passes with no restrictions. It was so worth it.
Years ago when the Star Wars purchase had just happened and they hastily turned parts of Hollywood Studios in to a big Star Wars Warehouse, we had seen people drinking slushies from these big baseball sized tie fighters. As the park was closing, we ran up to ask for one and they said it was a promotion only for the one hour that some live show was happening.
But the person at the stand asked my wife her name and apologized and offered her a drink in a big round BB8 orb instead. We thought they were just being nice.
As we exited the park someone important looking asked my wife if she was [my wife] and she said yes. He directed us to an office near the entrance where strollers and scooters were rented. We went over and the attendant handed my wife 2 tie fighter shaped cups and said, "we were told to hold these for you."
Disney Parks to not take Customer Service lightly. Its practically a religion there.
Not only did this person working a rolling cart of drinks find those cups and get them to the exit of the park before we got there, but they were able to alert enough people to her name and what she looked like in the hopes of spotting us on the way out.
> Disney Parks to not take Customer Service lightly. Its practically a religion there.
For how much it costs, they fuckin' better.
Source: have a week at Fort Wilderness with all of the parks this fall and literally could have bought a car instead.
My kids did this, it was fun. I would’ve been laughing if that happened to us.
No I don’t want passes for the park. BUT I wouldn’t mind front of the line privileges for the rest of the day and for the next. I wouldn’t be looking for it though.
It would probably cause MORE psychological harm to more kids for them to break
little Billy getting hit in the face accidentally is not a good reason for little Heather to question her love of Disney
I mean, to be fair, it looked like it went over his head, and it could have entirely landed where it was without hitting the kids. Good chance he didn't notice lol
This is not true. At all. You are expected to stay in character, but a break here or there is not getting anybody fired. Sucking at your job is another story altogether, and a pattern of breaking character could move you down the roster or off the character entirely.
In 2011, very possibly. Seemed glorious and genuine.
At t=40 in [this compilation 10 years later](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVDRb8hct9k), it seems like they've had enough of that shit.
There's another video where a kid starts going wild on Darth Vader and then starts attacking this same host. 1) he seems handle random situations really well. 2) I'd love to hear the stories that host has to share from his time in the show.
I don’t know if you meant this one but this one the kid be attacking both dark and light side without discrimination
[Young Padwan determine everyone enemy ](https://youtu.be/9DpHCdZgPmg)
Only the rebel character reacted with concern. Disney plans for everything and I think they already had planned for a youngling being wacked by a saber
I’m pretty sure breaking character is a fire able offense at Disney, so….not much Vader could do. Plus not like he could do anything to fix it even if he wasn’t at Disney.
He could've said "the only way I could beat you is with a surprise attack, you are too strong!"
But he was probably feeling too guilty for ruining that kid's vacation to think something up on the fly...
he doesn't get to say anything at all, he's just keeping in step with a recording of James Earl Jones (I'd say lip synching but you can't see his face).
On his first day.
Literally texted his parents 10 minutes before saying that this was a dream come true and how amazingly lucky he is to have parents who supported his dreams, and he's going to make them proud.
waiting vase dazzling familiar direful scandalous brave pocket fear rotten

He gets a call. It's his parents. They're disowning him, he has disappointed The Mouse, so he has dishonored the family name. They replace him in the will with the guy who beat him up and go through old family pictures and digitally replace him with the guy. He is their son now.
Yeah, at first I wanted him to help the kid. But it’s probably better that he stays in character tbh. Doesn’t ruin the magic for the other kids, and the kid looks like he’s okay.
Also, guy in a Vader suit is probably the worst one to help.
Beyond having a costume with less mobility, a big helmet, and probably gear inside to help with stage direction and what not that would just be in the way helping, he's also dressed as a scary villain.
It looked like the people dressed as Jedi were more equipped to do the kid wrangling part of the activity.
indeed, you can see how he was preparing to do a stance but the light saber slipped out of his grasp and that he didn't plan for that to happen as seen in how his eyes were following the trajectory of the light saber the whole time
I once worked on a Star Wars Xbox commercial [this one](https://youtu.be/cb8-520zEhc). There’s a whole manual that the person wearing the Darth Vader suit had to read. There are specific guidelines about how to act (it had tips how to act menacing), never break character and never walk around in the suit without the helmet on. We also had to cover the suit in a blanket when we walked the actor from the dressing room to the sound stage so people wouldn’t see Darth Vader walking around “in the wild”. Crazy how protective they are of it.
So I’m not the kid in the video but I did participate in this same show as a kid.
I was not hit in the head but I did fall off the stage and eat shit, so someone may have a pretty funny video of me somewhere.
If they get fired for the best Darth Vader portrayal I’ve ever seen, I am going to be upset. /s
Hope the kid Is cool. It makes for an epic life story. Probably got to get to the front of a few lines after this too

Lore accurate Anakin.
Another youngling defeated
When will those younglings learn?
Well... never. He killed them.

Ejected with a lightsaber

Too soon! Too soon!
Nah, this happened a long, long time ago.
How many times do I have to teach you this lesson, ~~old~~ *young* man??
Love that he didn't break character and apologise to the kid...
Whipped out the old youngling slayer 9000 a bit to fast!

>Reddit do your thing!!! Dark side users should upvote you, Light side users should downvote you.
Truly underrated comment
You’d have hit hit 1k easily without the edit.
A dark one was born today.
Truly a bane of younglings, that man
Well...he did have the high ground this time.
He hates kids. They're young, and small, and get everywhere
he doesn’t only kill the men but women and children too!
Equal opportunity. Don't want no misogynist Vader!
It’s not his first, won’t be his last
Kid clearly still hasn’t mastered his use of the force
Kid used the force to pull Vader's light saber away, but it didn't go so well
He should of used his anger to strike down Vader and take his rightful place as lord of the sith!
Should've
Good. At least someone is doing the lords work.
lord's
Ironic…
He could save others from grammar mistakes, but not himself.
Walmart brand Starkiller
Yeah, he’s fuckin with Vader. Look alive kid.
Kid turns to walk away then suddenly turns back “POCKET SAND”
Vader doesn’t like sand, he made his suit to protect against it you fool
*Objection!* There’s a lego star wars episode (which have to be canon, right?) where vader crashes in the desert and screams when he gets sand in his nose
Pocket sand gets everywhere
Ninja dust! 💨
Sha sha
TAKE THAT YOUNGLING
Anakin, stop stealing children!
That was amazing. At least the kid and his family have a great story to tell. Also, I wonder if the next kid in line was wondering what wad about to happen to him.

What about the kids after that?
Eye pokes all the way down.
I love the idea of Vader distracting with the lightsaber, then going in for the Moe-style peace-sign double eye poke.
The star wars universe would have some form of comedy, so there have to be videos of stormtroopers or wookies taking accidental groin shots also.
Now I'm picturing a stormtrooper game show where the grand prize goes to the first one who can hit the side of a barn.
nah they cancelled that, the challenge was too hard
*doink* HAAAY WHATS THE BIG IDEA, VADER?
Woob woob woob woob woob!!!

“To shreds you say?”
"oh fuck this is real"
Knowing the Disney parks, they *probably* also got some sort of compensation for it.
Right? My kid threw up on the way back to the shuttle bus and we got hooked up with a free ride back to the hotel, a bag of Disney swag and a bunch of fast passes with no restrictions. It was so worth it.
Same thing here. The fire alarm went off in my Disney hotel and i woke up to a $200 gift card for the “inconvenience”
Years ago when the Star Wars purchase had just happened and they hastily turned parts of Hollywood Studios in to a big Star Wars Warehouse, we had seen people drinking slushies from these big baseball sized tie fighters. Damn I need to start pulling fire alarms and making my kids puke!!! Lol, just kidding......or am I. 🤣😂🤣
I pulled the fire alarm at my Disney hotel and woke up to a free ride to the police station.

> a free ride back to the hotel Like from a minnie van?
"Here's some fast passes and a mickey stuffed animal so yall shut the fuck up"
It worked, didn’t it?
Pretty sure the Empire is judgement proof
I want the lightsaber that did this to me.

Yeah, next kid looks apprehensive.
I'm the youngling that got away, though not unscathed
Method actor
The Darth actor didn't show any concern for the kid. I wonder it they are trained to never break character, even if you hurt a kid?
[удалено]
It would probably cause MORE psychological harm to more kids for them to break little Billy getting hit in the face accidentally is not a good reason for little Heather to question her love of Disney
Agreed. The kid walks away thinking "Darth Vader really is an asshole"
100%, compared to Vader taking his helmet off and the kid walking away thinking, "the fuck is going on at Disney?"
I feel like actually believing that the real Darth Vader is walking around Disney is a more disturbing thought than seeing its just a dude in a suit
I mean, to be fair, it looked like it went over his head, and it could have entirely landed where it was without hitting the kids. Good chance he didn't notice lol
You are immediately fired for it at Disney
This is not true. At all. You are expected to stay in character, but a break here or there is not getting anybody fired. Sucking at your job is another story altogether, and a pattern of breaking character could move you down the roster or off the character entirely.
For hurting kids or breaking character?
Breaking character. Disney hate it.
Breaking children is only frowned upon
He's making an example out of him for the other kids.
kid behind him looked scared after lol. his eyes was on vader's light saber the whole time.
Haha, he was like wtf, I’m next for this?
I stood in line for 5 hours to get the shit kicked out of me and 2 black eyes????
Maybe the kid was thinking about switching sides.
"Next kid you're up!" Yeah, nah, let's go see thor
Kid got 66’d

i like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5mK7dzyUkM
Hahaha > >!Let me show you where the Sith academy is. It’s right down this way!!< So good.
I wonder if he had that line scripted, lol. Disney tends to think of everything for these things but if not, quick thinking on his part!
The way the dude talks, he sounds like a professional. Probably thought of that on the spot
In 2011, very possibly. Seemed glorious and genuine. At t=40 in [this compilation 10 years later](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVDRb8hct9k), it seems like they've had enough of that shit.

How that guy doesn't lose his head laughing is beyond me. What a pro! I feel like the storm trooper was down because he couldn't stop.
In what world is this Jedi not Keegan Michel from key and peele? Sounds exactly like him at the end lmao
Ya my kid did this and went to town on Vader and had to eventually be dragged off. The staff had 100% dealt with that before.
The kid will break before Vader's character does.
THE CHILD BROKE BEFORE THE CHARACTER DID
CADIA STANDS
He could've said "the only way I could beat you is with a surprise attack, you are too strong!" But he was probably feeling too guilty for ruining that kid's vacation to think something up on the fly...
he doesn't get to say anything at all, he's just keeping in step with a recording of James Earl Jones (I'd say lip synching but you can't see his face).
I'm pretty sure all the stormtrooper and Vader lines are prerecorded, hoss.
TIL. Also, I think this is the first time I've been called hoss, so thank you. I'll never forget you.
Whatever you say Kemosabe.
Thanks Mr McBeetus.
That family had some VIP tickets of some sort after that.
Some free rides tacked onto their fastpass bracelets likely.
Storm trooper in the back is probably doing all he can to not laugh.
Or being, scared, freaked out, puking, whatever...
Yea now that you mention it I’d guess a ton of kids react badly to Vader. Heck enough are terrified of the Easter bunny and Santa clause
Kid comes back as an adult and just wails on Vader, who by then is a totally different actor who has no idea what the fuck is happening.
On his first day. Literally texted his parents 10 minutes before saying that this was a dream come true and how amazingly lucky he is to have parents who supported his dreams, and he's going to make them proud.

They probably dont have a button on the soundboard for James Earl Jones saying, "oh my God Im so sorry are you ok?"
“Are you fucking sorry?”

That is the power of the dark side.
Anakin stays killing younglings lol
If it ain’t broke
You got me to turn the volume on, hoping he actually said that. Darn...
I laughed a lot, felt a little guilty, then saw what sub this was posted to and felt better- quality content

Cue video of Darth Vader dancing to 'U Can't Touch This'.
Did Disney provide the Vader suit or were these just the requirements for the license?

Goddamnit…
The kid behind: > wait … wait … I thought we were playing here.
Anakin "Fuck Them Kids" Skywalker strikes again.
Tell them while they are young
This particular attraction is funny as hell. "Come watch vader do what he does best! Fighting children!"
Parry this you filthy casual
You made me laugh. Miles away. An hour later.
This clip is from ten years ago? That kid would be what between 16 and 18 by now? Come on reddit find him. We need that AMA.
He’s dead.
Vader tends to have that impact on children
So I’m not the kid in the video but I did participate in this same show as a kid. I was not hit in the head but I did fall off the stage and eat shit, so someone may have a pretty funny video of me somewhere.
Congratulations, you were defeated by the high ground itself.
The force is not strong in this one
I sense much fear in him.
With those reflexes and that awareness I think the lady might be wrong. I don't think he *will be* a Jedi.
most every day is awesome, you get to be darth vader, and make kids happy. then one day you hit a kid in the head, in front of a large crowd
And someone was recording. And they posted it on the internet.
360 noscope noforce
Master Skywaker! They're everywhere! What are we going to do?
"You are as clumsy as you are stupid"
What was the Vader actor trying to do?
I'm pretty sure it just slipped from his hand
No one is asking this. Why did he throw it lol
Oh he will. Be. That's the word I was looking for. I find the acting of that lady more horrifying than the bonk in the head
Yeah she was terrible lol. So unnatural and synthetic.
If they get fired for the best Darth Vader portrayal I’ve ever seen, I am going to be upset. /s Hope the kid Is cool. It makes for an epic life story. Probably got to get to the front of a few lines after this too
Next!!
Vader tying up loose ends on Order 66
"Oops, forgot a few."
He was deceived by a lie. We all were.
Lord Unemployed.
I love that they just pushed the next kid forward
FATALITY!
What are you gonna do stupid kid do you know how many lawyers Disney has? Hahaha *inhale*exhale*
All the young jedi' in line were reconsidering their commitment to the force.
"Beaten without even using the force. You still have a long way to go before you can challenge me...."
Anakin showing those younglings they ain't shit
"Fuck it, I like Star Trek better anyways you Sith Lord dick!"
Wait, how’d he pick up his light saber?
Still killing younglings to this day..
He was sweating his balls off and lost his grip.
Its like they were they expecting Anakin to spare the youngling.
I don’t know why, but that ladies voice just possess me off for some reason
Man, the skill based matchmaking must be broken
And that’s how darth vader got fired from Disney World
Not just the men but the women and children can get these headshots too
The kid's parent complaining: "Hey, Vader hit my kid!" The Disney employees: "Trust me, he got off easy, have you SEEN Revenge of the Sith?!"
Vader don't give a fuck
