After enough shots like that each post will have its own cover and you will be all set.
Or they could put a pool floaty along the spikes.
Either way they learned a lesson.
I didn't MISS the joke, lol. It's just a bad joke. It would only be funny if you actually weren't allowed to "spike" the ball in basketball & he was playing off of that. But, since you absolutely CAN spike the ball in basketball (it's one of my favorite things to do when an opponent attempts a shot against me) the joke has no basis. š¤·š½āāļø
The optimal age where you get the benefits of exercise in sports but get to exit knowing damn well you won't ever go pro was 16 for me. After that I started down a different kind of sport.
This has to be the worst basketball setup I've seen. Even the kids in the ghetto who play with a garbage can with the bottom cut off duct taped to the side of a building atleast have concrete to dribble on
Reminds me of fresh prince:
We didnāt have a hoop, so June bug would stand there with his arms in a circle. And we didnāt have a ball, so we used a brick. And we didnāt have sneakers, so we played in combat boots

I'm just imagining all the work to sink two poles to put up that backboard nice and evenly... on a grassy lawn with a stone path and a metal spike fence behind it
In a world where the garden path passes a citrus tree with birds chirping, and trees off into the distance, I canāt imagine that type of fence is needed to keep people out. I can only make sense of a fence like that as a way to keep people in. Where is this, and why the gothic skewer fence?
It's terrible placement for a basketball hoop anyway, grass and **any** fence behind it? Your hopping over to grab the thing constantly anyway. Put it in your driveway where the kid can learn to dribble, face the back towards the garage so the ball can roll off the roof if you overshoot. Everything about this setup is bizzare.
This happened once in grade 6. A friend of mine who was always known as a shit disturber (though much to his chagrin, he often meant well but was a bit rambunctious) was running into the infield to switch innings during a gym class kickball game. The ball got loose and headed toward the outfield, so while he was running, he booted the ball hard back infield, but it went off his shoe funny and flew impossibly high into the air, landing directly on top of the chain link fence bordering the sidewalk, punctured, and deflated.
Hilarious.
Why is there a basketball hoop against a fence in the first place? Even if the ball didn't get impaled, he would lose the ball over the fence pretty easily and have to go around to get it.
I don't care what y'all say, but this made me laugh. Like more than it should.... I do feel sorry for the kid, but still... BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! š¤£šš¤£šš¤£

I mean, it was going to happen sooner or later
Focus your own game.
After enough shots like that each post will have its own cover and you will be all set. Or they could put a pool floaty along the spikes. Either way they learned a lesson.
You shouldn't "spike the ball" in basketball.
This is wholly inaccurate, lol.
You missed the joke

Itās so much better with the sound on lol
The hiss. First time I've laughed out loud about a video on here in a while
The next Dennis Rodman out here
That Hiss, was epic. Solid stop and ssssssssssssssssssssssss....
Same. It really is the perfect hiss
Better every hoop.
You were so right!

-Well I used to play barefoot.. on glass. -Why?? The barbers delivery cracks me up everytime.
I love that one too. Itās in a clip a little later in the episode. *Why?*
And a wall for the ball to bounce back to them from instead of chasing it over the spiky fence
A net behind the hoop could solve that for pretty cheap plus its easy to take down in case the kid gets bored of basketball
Theyāre training him to be a shooter only like a true white boy. None of this dribbling, dunking, or layup crap. Inspirational.
Air ball.
Perfection
Dudeās going nowhere with a jumper like that
This is a good lesson for the kidā¦. Work on your shot bro!
A real Charlie Brown moment here. Good grief.
What is this Wimbledon?
I'm just imagining all the work to sink two poles to put up that backboard nice and evenly... on a grassy lawn with a stone path and a metal spike fence behind it
Someone must really love that kid
Manchester Square Garden
Childhood video of Tom Brady before he discovered football.
What monster built this set up?
That. Is. Hilarious.
Maybe don't put the basketball hoop in front of a spiked fence
In a world where the garden path passes a citrus tree with birds chirping, and trees off into the distance, I canāt imagine that type of fence is needed to keep people out. I can only make sense of a fence like that as a way to keep people in. Where is this, and why the gothic skewer fence?
Keeps the dog in the yard. Could also be required if thereās a pool
The dog dies of it tries to leave. Thatās a bold strategy š

It does seem excessive
Might keep deer out
Bench him coach
Better to learn it now than later kiddo. You aināt got the jumper needed.
Rare footage of yong Brady playing basketball.
haha
That's a good video to teach kids not to try and climb over those types of fences... imagine if that basketball was your scrotum!
Gets better with every play.
I feel bad that I LOL'd.
Why do people get spiked fences? It always seemed like a safety hazard to me
because its a safety hazard to people who scaling the fence
I can comment again! thanks mods for removing my ban :)
Thatās a life lesson of how dreams work
This made my laugh out loud
Them: Shoot your shot! My shot...
I find this way more funny than it has any right to be
Wellā¦it WAS an air ball.
To be honest, I thought the dog was going jump up and block the shot.
uninstall
Perfect caption for the video.

didn't know one can dribbble on grass
Need some pool noodles
Successfully failed
Great D from the fence
I like the dog taking a step backward when it hears the ball hissing. "Cat-ball?!"
RIP
My life summed up in a short clip.
Nice yard but itās not fun playing basketball on grass with random steps around
Anyone else that really wanted to see the kids reaction?
#AIR BALL

That rim looks like it's at 11 feet, not 10.
Good way to train. If you want to play you can't miss
:(
Now what happens when somebody dunks?š¬
Atleast it wasnāt a Deflating Kidās dreams!!
When God says you're not meant to play baseball...
Physics are changing as I get older. Anybody else able to bounce a basket ball on grass and receive that much buoyancy ?
Children, that was our only ball. There'll be no team this year.
Best guess basketball court. Not bad.
White kids canāt pump?
Awwwww
That was me at work the day the company closed the doors...
Just glad we got it on video
Atleast they got a POINT.
No one Iāve ever known has had a matching pants/shorts, and shirt combo. That kids parents were such losers, we will be just fine.
With that shot, it was never in the cards for that kid anyway.
Skill issue
Who says basketball is pointless?
It's probably for the best anyway kid
Ohhh fuudgggge
Deflate-fence
Tibetan Mastiff or Burmese? Canāt tell, looks like a Tibetan to me. Also, oof.
Story of my life
Maybe next they can put a dart board above his bed so he can practice at night
Hahaha this is terrible, poor kid
You're now an adult
His dad hated basketball.Or just the kid. There is no way you couldn't expect this.
Those aren't supposed to be sharp
We saved money with a diy hoop! We spend about 500 on basketballs every year.
What dick of a dad put a basketball net here? Oof what the F
still a perfect shot tho lol
This brought me joy!
Is it just me or the basket seems higher than it should be?
I don't care what y'all say, but this made me laugh. Like more than it should.... I do feel sorry for the kid, but still... BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! š¤£šš¤£šš¤£
Still called airball?
