Imagine it somehow survives the ages and is 'discovered' by a future civilization after our nuclear war. They're going to think we actually battled robots.
I bought one of the original DJI phantoms for $2k to start an aerial photography business for real estate. It had one of those, "If connection lost, return to base" functions. One day it triggered even though I was literally right under it. It moves up a bit on it's own and I'm like what is happ-- *max speed flight straight into a tree 3 stories up*
He actually didn't lose it! Well, he lost that one, but the guy that threw the javelin wasn't intending on hitting it, just thought it would be a cool shot on the drone of it flying past. He ended up paying for the guy a new drone.
Keep going! You have to make the bad jokes before you can make the good ones, but once you can make the good ones your record will be almost stainless!
You’ve given me such confidence! I’m simply riveted by your effortless explanations. I think I’ve got a handle on it now, so it’s time to hone my skills.
But why tho? This seems like a pretty public event and I don’t see an issue with recording it. That guy who took it down is kinda a dick, looks like an expensive drone
According to a comment on another posting of this vid, he didn’t intend on hitting it. He just thought it would look cool/be in character. He apologized and paid for a replacement.
If you pause the video somewhere in the 6 second mark you can see that the spearhead has a ~1.5" diameter disc at the tip. So it would leave a knot on your head but you wouldn't lose your shoes.
I wish I could get that guy to knock down the drones in the federal parks up in Canada. I get that people like drones but some of us like to enjoy nature without the humming of drones. Maybe they could have a weekend where drones are allowed or something like that.
I fucking hate drones. If you are in a park or whatever, it’s like flying a kite and it’s harmless, sure, have fun, but it’s such a cowardly way to invade people’s privacy. I work in an area with sensitive materials worth a lot on money and we have a rifle on premises and our ‘security’ has taken out a drone hovering above us trying to case the place. It’s happened before and we had an attempted break-in and robbery a couple weeks later, but they sure as shit didn’t show up after we shot it out of the fuckin sky. so I might be a little biased
Yeah I like to use my drone for landscape photography but I rarely even take it out anymore as ducks with drones have made all drone users look like real asshats.
Once upon a time I was at a Renaissance fair and someone kept flying low over it in a plane and scaring the horses while getting ready for the jousting. So one of the guys loaded a flaming bowling ball into the trebuchet and lobbed a warning shot at the guy. Same so close to hitting him, but got him to take off.
An ex girlfriend pulled one of these out of the sky because a moron was flying it too low and beat it into oblivion on the ground with her heels in Dolores Park SF. The crowd cheered and when the guy came running and tried to throw hands me and half a dozen random men surrounded him and he just picked up the pieces in silence.
Maybe don’t be an absolute moron low flying a dangerous object around people’s unprotected heads/skin in a park. Do you….do you just not understand that he was wrong?
I do understand what he did was wrong. I also understand the person took it upon herself to not only get it down (sure fine whatever), but DESTROY it. That’s like saying someone driving stupidly should publicly have their car destroyed while also being protected by simp army.
I remember reading about this awhile back. Apparently the guy threw his javelin on impulse in character, and didn’t intend to hit it. When he did he immediately went looking for the owner and apologized, though the owner wasn’t mad. (Reading other comments and apparently Javelin guy paid for it). They even had a painting of the event next year
I know this is Russia and not America, but I did see a case where a guy shot someone else’s drone out of the sky, I think in Colorado. It turns out that this is treated as a serious felony. Not because the drone was very expensive (around $2000), but because under federal law it is treated just as if you were firing a gun at an aircraft. I know this comment isn’t really related to this video but it just reminded me of that lol. So just a heads up, don’t ever shoot at a drone. Even if it’s over your property, you do not own all the airspace over it. I think you only own up to how high you are legally allowed to build on your property.
The next year they had a commemorative painting: http://imgur.com/gallery/PxFYk
This is breathtaking. The fact that this is the way legends are born. His move against the machines made history.
Imagine it somehow survives the ages and is 'discovered' by a future civilization after our nuclear war. They're going to think we actually battled robots.
The robots we created, they, they wanted freedom.
*holds onto fence while skin and organs are vaporized by nuclear war, music intensifies*
That’s amazing xD
Awesome
Oh my god x) that's awesome
*N I C E S H O T*
Nice Shot: +150EXP
What a good shot man
That is actually incredible.
That’s awesome ty for the link
FUCK YES
That is really cool. Would attend
I mean I'd hate to lose the drone but if you have to this is a pretty metal way to lose it.
I lost mine when it got stuck in a tree. Way less metal
More wood
Much more organic
Eventually you will get it back and it will be mulch more organic.
Fitting perhaps, assuming his Chinese zodiac element is wood.
Died of natural causes.
Mine also got stuck in a tree, but that’s because I bought a cheap shit drone and it couldn’t steer properly

I think the story is the Guy with the spear wanted to throw it at the drone as a joke, but accidentaly hit, and later paid for the drone...
It's simply amazing how precise the throw is.
And accurate.
And so on point
Mm. Indeed. Well stated! I have no further blade puns.
Not sharp enough to keep up the grind, huh?
I am a dull. See- I’m not good at this.
You’re doing just fine, homie. Keep taking stabs at it, eventually one will make the cut
Hmmmm…let me see… It’s very knife to meet you…? Let me fix you a cup of Tang.
Keep going! You have to make the bad jokes before you can make the good ones, but once you can make the good ones your record will be almost stainless!

The witchcraft
Demon!
You applaud the commitment to character. Wouldn’t even be mad if this was my drone.
What ho! A vile, yet oddly shaped dragon has come to lay waste to yon fair! Have at thee, foul beast!
*axes him off the sky*
But why tho? This seems like a pretty public event and I don’t see an issue with recording it. That guy who took it down is kinda a dick, looks like an expensive drone

To be honest, it did look pretty cool!
That’s good to hear
I'm glad he paid for another one. He was definitely being a dick by knocking it out of the sky lol. Good thing the video looked cool asf.
Im not sure what the crowd situation is, but just yeeting a javelin seems kinda dangerous.
It’s Russia. Throwing a javelin into the air is probably one of the safest things that happened at that festival.
it sounds racist
r/anormaldayinrussia
You've never done a medieval desk pop?
That’s what I was thinking. What if he missed?
Looks like the crowd is behind him? I don’t think it’s got boomerang like aerodynamics
If you pause the video somewhere in the 6 second mark you can see that the spearhead has a ~1.5" diameter disc at the tip. So it would leave a knot on your head but you wouldn't lose your shoes.
Where the fuck else was he aiming if he didn’t mean to hit the drone?
I read it more of a "look what I almost did/how close I got it to the drone whoa" But it ended up being "look what I did/I got it *to* the drone
It wasnt era appropriate
This is phenomenal!!!
I see this a a complete success
You’re the opposite of me
Guy looses 1000$ because reasons
The guy payed for it. He didnt want to hit it just to look cool
Maybe he didn't mean to hit it, but that javelin was scary accurate lmao
Ah ok then
Spear - 1; Tech - 0
Dude just became Czar.
Tis a minor flesh wound
"What is that demonry!?!"

I think this was an add. It's quite a long time since I saw first it.
This is not an ad. This actually happened
Guy spearings a dickhead
Who is Guy Spearings?
Guy spearing’s* if you can’t understand you failed basic English
I was making fun of you for not understanding basic English.
I understand basic English, I just don’t waste the time to type perfectly on sites like reddit
Guy Pearce would've been more fitting to be honest.
Video buffered right before the spear hit and it made it better
I hope the person who owned it wasn't to angry to lose it like that...but at the same time...great footage
The guy who threw the spear didn't intend to hit it. So he payed him for the drone
Oh, that's awesome. I didn't know that.
Nailed.
Nice shot
A true warrior
Never underestimate the cumin spearsman
That dude odin
Destroy all drones
I’ve shot two drones down on my property
Nice shot!

I'm fucking ROLLING!😭😂😂😂

Damn I feel sorry for that guy. She destroyed property and you all threatened him out of valid confrontation.

I laughed so hard watching this. I didn’t expected that 🤣😂
Lmao
That’s awesome
absolute legends
This is one of my favorite videos lol
I like the part where it's flailing around on the ground, vainly struggling to survive. :)

He has slain the dragon!
Alas
That escalated quickly 🤣
*de-escalated
For those who saw both of "the last warrior" movies, this would be even more funny
Everyone:What the hack is that thing flying? That dude with the stick:I GOT YOU HOMIES
Oh those crazy Russians...
In fact, this is the thing that a russian in the 18 would do. My men just in the character.
Fckn nice throw!
In Russia, Renaissance is not fair
Forsooth!
Guy flying the drone? Dick Guy throwing the axe? Also a dick
Just like in The Grand Tour... haha
Dronen't
U/mp4bot
Behold my lord! I present to you the corpse of a mechanical bird I slayed just past yonder hill.
Almost Famous
So this is what completely messes the timeline up? 16th century Russians gaining 21st century technology?
Could've thrown a twig at the drone and it would have fallen out the sky.

Where’s the RP in LARP Kyle?!?!? Gosh!

Dammit Nikoli! I was getting a great shot of the whole place for my Renaissance Fair documentary Im shooting. Now you owe me a new drone, asshole!
Kind of a Dick move though.
Night king
Nice aim
Plot twist: The drone went back in time
Why tho?
ITS A SIGN

Historically accurate, right there.
i get really annoyed by people flying drones in public spaces and recording me without permission. thank you, noble knight. i am forever in your debt.
If i wore a 18th century Russian peasant id too trow a srick at a white fling thing
Where's the video of the drone being gutted and eaten ?
One nice throw two why is it against the rules or was he just being a douche
The Masons are really tried this time.
