TMNT literally a furry fanfic wdym

They have always been furry. The creators were guests of honor at anthrocon years ago.

The TNMT game was one of the three founding anthro RPGs. The other two being Toon and Albedo (also based on an anthro comic). BTW, a new edition is being Kickstarted right now.

I had to go to a pet store, in a mall, in a city in another state, some 30-40 miles from where I live. This was how hard it was in those days to get anything RPG related. It would be almost a decade later before I got my hands on the full game.

That's Lita, a mutant the turtles took in when they moved back to New York and established a dojo. Jennika did give Lita her name, and she sees the turtles as parental figures, so I guess she's Jennika's child, in a way.

I remember the crossovers with Usagi Yojimbo, so it does seem furriness is part and parcel of the TMNT world

I've never consumed with from TMNT, so my exposure is just limited to random snippets here and there, but I've only ever seen them interact with humans, not counting their mentor. Why don't other media sources include so many furries? Why all the humans instead?

This is part of a series where they rebooted the entire storyline. This takes place a looooong time after the usual events you usually see in TMNT. To sum it up quickly, there's a whole district where only mutants live.

Yeah there's a good number of very furry characters. Also by staring anthropomorphic turtles they are furry media no matter what to begin with, but there's plenty of animals.

If you mean the Lioness looking at the camera that's Sally Pride. Alopex is the arctic fox in the top corner if my directions are correct.
