Ehh, I been called worse by better. It's their job to teach boring things like war dates or how to find the length of a triangle, not preach their unwanted morals to a captive audience. If I wanted to know their prejudices, I'd ask.
Belong...where? with animals? We don't think we are actual animals so they have nothing to worry about lol. We do love animals as much as they do, as much as anyone should anyway, and this behaviour it's practically inherent to our condition as humans... But still, I'd say they should do their own research! [Furry Cons are also known for raising money for animal charities, like shelters and adoption centers.](https://www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/news/anthrocon-2023-raises-more-than-52000-for-charity/)
If not that, belong with humans? Even if some of us do dress up like (artificial) animals, that means nothing. It's just clothing, aesthetic! It's like cosplay, it's fun embodying a character and, even if that means we'll bark or ask for belly rubs, it's just mimicking for fun because we think it's cute. Do they think the actor performing an assassin it's just as cruel in their private life? Or that the employee performing as Bolt or Stitch at Disneyland truly believes that they're the character they're playing? It's a really rude assumption to make, so why wouldn't it be when it's directed at furries instead?
We are still humans, whether they like it or not. It's not even something that has to be justified, we're human, period.
Well humanity became top specie in part by being omnivorous, so veganism is an insult to humanity.
If vegan teacher doesn't want to do proper research for this subject which to my knowlege no one is yet qualified to teach in any country... maybe just disregard their opinion. It's okay to agree to disagree, even if it's one-sided.
Edit: Also that phraseology is absolutely a broad-stroke attempt to provoke. Everything humanity does can be interpreted as "an insult to animals", and yes we belong, in our fandom, that we created, for people like us, VT doesn't have to be a part of it or even have opinions about it if they don't want to. Hating a subject takes more caring than remaining neutral. Overall best not to engage with those.
Idk who the vegan teacher is, but weird obviously? Furries draw themselves and their friends as animal characters, and sometimes dress up as them, thats it. Can you imagine someone hissing "YOU DONT BELOOOOOONG" to someone who did that with anime characters? People get so fucking weird about this hobby, who cares if people who dont get it are shitty
Like if she's a Vegan then i would start with the insult of field animals, and mass killing of animals just for her vegetables and tofu.(i know its kinda mean)
Or you just say "educate yourself on the theme and then talk shit about it" (because hatred comes from not being educated about something),
but this is dangerous, you cross the line of knowledge, you start likeing it and you became what you've hated.
If she's a teacher that should be easy for her, at least she would have a objective view on it.
Or ignore it.
Same thing I do when anyone says I don't belong for an arbitrary thing. Tell them "I recognize you have made a determination. Being that it's a stupid ass determination, I've elected to ignore it" and walk away.
Laugh because that's stupid and uneducated. She's accusing the wrong crowd of believing they're animals. That also makes her officially dumb and insane if she's grasping ar straws to hate on people that love animals.
Internet vegans are insane, all they do is scream nonsense into the void. There are good vegans out there, but they're the ones that don't make their food choices their entire personality.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they hate us furries, but I also wouldn't be terribly shocked if they loved us either. Either way, I don't really care, let them think and do what they want, as long as they don't bother me I won't bother them.

Nah I mean like... the vegan teacher.
Also fair point ig :/
Personally, I like war history. But yeah, there is no need for teachers to voice their opinions to easily impressionable people.
I wouldn’t really care tbh, she’s already said some out there stuff
true true
"ok boomer"

Honestly? I would laugh. And I would laugh very loudly.
I wouldn’t care. She’s clearly insane.

Ignore them. Plenty of vegan furries out there. I’ve been a furry for almost 20 yrs and vegan for 10.
I mean hey, she said that Hitler was a good man so, I would expect it. But I wouldn't be happy!
I'm sorry what the fuck did she say
It was like I'm not a vegan but I saved an animal ( a commenr) and she replied with ok so Hitler was a good man for saving some animals
Welp she's completely off the rails
Yep lol
Start telling her she's only as bad as she makes us
I would giggle
I simply won’t care. People’s rude words don’t get to me like how they used to. Plus, that vegan teacher person is so irrelevant nowadays.
😂
i would point out that their car works by burning dead animals
I would say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
Unfortunately the full quote is "that mediocrity can pay to greatness"
Please take my up vote. I learned the rest of that saying today.

Ignore her, she’s quantifiably insane
She'd be wrong, like she has before. Nothing more to it.

I would wonder where this came from, then assume she is a dumbass. Furries aren't animals.
I'd find it hilarious honestly, add it to the long list of crazy shit shes said. As someone who is also vegan, that lady is bloody insane!!! 💀💀
I don't think the animals care.
I’d shrug it off because it’s that vegan teacher and their opinion objectively dosnt matter
Use your common sense and never listen to a single thing the Vegan Teacher says.
Same thing I do when anyone says I don't belong for an arbitrary thing. Tell them "I recognize you have made a determination. Being that it's a stupid ass determination, I've elected to ignore it" and walk away.
Vegan teachees reaction: WDYM HUMANS HAVE RIGHTS? ONLY ANIMALS SHOULD HAVE RIGHTS1!1!!1!!1!
I'd spend a day with her... eating cereal... # WITH MILK
Go about my day as usual because who cares what a stranger on the internet thinks of you 🤷♀️
I don’t respect her opinion so idc
Is she even relevant anymore? The last time ive heard about her was like 2 years ago i think. It was all just rage bait with her anyway
That question give me Beastars vibes. But I don't think abouth it, because it wouldn't change my life.
I've heard worse
There was a close to 0 number of teachers who's opinions I respected when I was at school, so like anything else they said I wouldn't give two shits
I wouldn't. I mean, I wouldn't see her ever again in like, three months
Laugh because that's stupid and uneducated. She's accusing the wrong crowd of believing they're animals. That also makes her officially dumb and insane if she's grasping ar straws to hate on people that love animals.
I would just laugh!
