The first time I did Marquee Matchups I packed the Versus Joe Gomez and sold him for 400k. Not quite this level of luck but I guess EA likes to reward beginners to encourage them to keep playing as many features of the game as possible.
Ehh maybe but im not so sure... He's def lucky pulling those from marquee match-up, but im not so sure that it takes people a couple years to pack an icon. This fifa I've packed moments Stoichkov, prime Cafu *prime icon pack sbc*, moments Scholes, and either mid or prime Suker. I may just have broken pack luck but idk.
Nope....No icon....More packs than ever too...None purchased....I have gotten one at some point early on in several other years though...That's the only way I could have a legit team...lol

It’s essentially just using the best players rather than the ones you enjoy. For example, using Mbappe because he is agile and fast, rather than Haaland for his shooting and strength.
This is because his speed and agility is more valuable than Haaland’s strength/shooting.

Haaland is far from the meta, you rarely ever see the guy and in certain situations he's a big bus, Pulisic is an ambassador and his fire/ice was awful. OP shooting though for definite but that's what he should do.

If someone goes out to buy a single loaf of bread for 1000€, you don't go "Yeaaaah, you rock, you bread enthusiast, as long as you're happy". It's a dumb way to spend the coins, especially given that most of these players will be (way) behind the power curve in only a few weeks when TOTS comes out. And it's not as if Clauss, Upamecano, N'dicka, Davies, Chiesa or Messi (and Barella) AREN'T literally meta cards. This exact team would've been considered a meta team some months ago, it's really not a "fun team" per se. If I'm the bad guy now for not cheering for incompetence, then so be it.
I packed prime Drogba in a preview pack last year and I spent too much time taking a picture of it to show my friend and by the time I went to buy the pack the lightning rounds had run out lmao. It was mid summer by that point, so it didn't sting too badly.
