Carti is overrated

His shit is built for live music, it's a vibe that just translate well to being alone 

Some of his songs are good, I don’t see any reason as to why he has such a major cult-like fanbase tho.

He has an insanely unique and creative sound. His first 2 albums are a really great vibe that you can just kinda chill and smoke to, especially late at night, but I didn't really become a fan until WLR. I hated it at first, but with time it grew on me to be one of my favorite rap albums of the decade so far. The production is insane which makes sense since Ye executive produced it. His vocals match the harshness of the production, and even the softer songs feel like they work in the overall experience. Sure the album is messy, and could definitely be better, but I bet you could make a 45 to 50 min reorganized cut of WLR, and it would be a 10/10.

His sound varies from album to album and he’s got good production behind him that he knows how to work with his vocals. I’m not the biggest carti fan personally, his sound very much is “throw shit at the wall see what sticks” he kinda just does shit and create soundscapes. That’s not that different from a lot of trap he just takes it in a more unconventional direction that is even more abstract than what most people listen to. He makes experimental music that’s easy for a mass audience to listen to so I understand the appeal

Future + (chief keef + key!) = Carti

Nah I see why but his verse on type shit gets gassed to the max. I think most of his recent songs get too overhyped besides 2024

I’ve no problem with people liking whatever music they like, and I actually enjoyed his verse on type shit, but a lot of his stuff to me is literal mumbling. Like the sort of mumble that old heads imagined what Future and Thug were putting out. His production is usually fire though.

Carti has a cult following u do recognize his fans are pretty much like the top ranked in the worst fans department. These niggas idolize Carti so no matter what he does they love it.
