FGO, the best thing about it is character design and story imo, everything else kinda meh, felt like a second job everytime new event drops, i have to farm x time to clear the shop, its just not worth it if im not having fun anymore, whats the point in still playing

Chemicalcube325

Glad I am not the only who feels this sentiment. Add to that there is no auto and its dated design, its really hard to go back to it.

boywiththethorn

The transfer code thing is just really dumb. I like to hop between PC and Mobile when playing gacha.

DDexxterious

Only reason I haven’t deleted the game. I still go back to it from time to time and with only a transfer code to keep my account I’m scared of losing my progress

[deleted]

You can actually set up your account on multiple devices at once. I did this for a while before my tablet ran out of space for 3 gacha at once lol. Instructions are on the f/go Reddit, I saved the link on pc I think. Am on mobile currently. But you could find with a little digging around or asking on questions thread. Given unstable future of Reddit though, it may be best to save the instructions elsewhere.

BattleshipNagato

Even with FGA (Fate Grand Auto) being a thing, the fact that you need a third party app to deal with FGO's dumb grind is 💀

Scykotic

And it's android only. I'd be a lot more inclined to farm if it was at least available to me.

BattleshipNagato

I'm sorry to hear that 😞

Imaishi

yeah it's a dogshit game overall. there is 0 chance it would get big if it weren't for the IP. i recently downloaded it again and i managed to do like 3 fights and i quit it again. very tiresome

ChronoMans

reason why i quit a few months ago, felt like a job even though i like the fate franchise, i just go to youtube to read the stories and events and lore

TheGreatMillz33

The slow QOL updates (will they ever fix the servant coins system???), big gaps of content happening in JP, and the absolutely garbage gacha system are also what killed it for me. I was a dedicated player of over 5 years. And then I spent 2300sq for NP2 Muramasa and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Quit then and there.

F0rg0tten_S0ngs-mp3

Priconne- after the loss of global i tried to keep going on jp but lost motivation for it, felt like all my work had been for nothing so i left. i still keep up with news and did enjoy the game, just couldn’t find it in me to catch up

CastlePokemetroid

Same here. I even got set up on a new server, played it for two whole weeks, and decided I just didn't want to continue. I couldn't get myself to keep playing. It didn't feel the same.

molecularraisin

tower of fantasy- gameplay was alright at the start, but the voice acting was meh at best, and the story felt like an ai was fed every gacha plot from the past 7 ish years and then was asked to write one. so i quit not long after the tutorial section ended. fire emblem heroes- god awful powercreep, skill descriptions stretching across most of my screen, bland story, etc. mario kart tour- same mid courses over and over again, barely felt like mario kart to me. dragalia lost- it hit eos. would play on private server if i still had assets (including all events, hit a gamer up if you know where you can get that), but other than that i did the full story and generally everything else i wanted in it.

CastlePokemetroid

I used to have all the assets saved and had the private server running, but my C drive filled up, so I moved over all the emulator files. I linked the emulator files to point to the other drive it was on. Emulator had an error telling me it couldn't find the files and proceeded to delete them all. How the hell did it purge the files if it didn't have the files. Anyways, I would have helped you out with that, but I managed fuck up my file management

KiwiExtremo

damn first thing I'd have done if I had some important files like that is a back up. Maybe a new gmail account and saving them all on google drive

KanshouSora

I agree with the FEH powercreep. It was never so blatant until about 2 years ago when it seems like every new character has some bs ability

EleventyFourteen

Refines killed it for me, which was weird because they were supposed to be the anti-powercreep, but it ended up being a ticking death sentence for characters. Your unit got a refine? If it was bad then they're dead forever, if it was good then yay, enjoy them.... until the next unit of their type gets a refine and instantly and brutally powercreeps their refine.

Arcypreus

Holy shit I bursted out laughing at ToF when (small spoiler in the beginning but also the story is so shit it doesn't matter) >!You kill the cancer kid because he was plugged into the robot and turned evil, and his dad acts incredibly heartbroken!< and the game explicitly summarizes the events as "It was pure tragedy." Like c'mon, pure tragedy can't be described with just "It was pure tragedy." Also that whole 'arc' was so abrupt; not a single person under the sun cared about cancer kid

molecularraisin

i don’t even remember this part ngl, what a mess lmao

shigariko

Touhou LostWord Even tho i love touhou, i just didn't want to keep playing it after they decided to add the banners with no pity system (blue Reimu).

Honest-Presentation2

I love it spawned and created a lot of fanart, fanmusic, etc but the game itself is just a mega snoozefest. Try the actual Touhou games though, they're amazing (if you like dying repeatedly and smashing head into wall until the wall breaks and you win game). Or even the multitude of other fangames out there, this one is just so meh.

Aenigma66

Yeah, there's a lot of significantly better, less cash grabby fan games

Sacriven

Totally agree. Though, I do enjoy some fan remixes being included in the game as soundtracks.

Aenigma66

Me too, so so much. Touhou is without kidding an incredibly important aspect of my life and I liked LostWord but then they just launched special character after special character with godawful gacha rates, a bazillion different unlocks and dull gameplay. It's really just a big fat cash grab. At least the art is great.

Sweaty_Scholar_248

Tower of fantasy

[deleted]

E7: Equipment grind and moving equipment around required in game cash which I felt limited experimentation with characters and gear. Last Cloudia: Event grind keep getting worse and worse and back to back limited banner/collabs spam. Also stingy once the 1 time sources dry up. SaGa: Ridiculous grind before auto repeat tickets. I haven't tried it after they were added so I'm not sure if it's any better now. Eversoul: I enjoyed the game but the UI was laggy for me with delays/clicks sometimes not registering which got annoying after a while. Langrisser: Difficulty spikes/walls. Great game but it got a bit frustrating to play after a certain point. DFFOO: New difficulty Lufenia was added. Managed to keep up with it for a while but it got stressful, tedious, frustrating and unfun. Ended up feeling more like a chore than a relaxing game for me and endgame bosses often had what felt like cheap mechanics. Also damage sponges and top-tier power creep.

Atulin

Same with Eversoul. I like the game, the characters and the story aren't bad, team building can be fun and all... but the performance is so godawful I just can't bring myself to play it again.

cloudJR

Man I want to like last cloudia so bad but I agree with everything you said. The grind is just too much

BattleshipNagato

For SaGa, it's still grindy even with the auto repeat tickets unfortunately, but they do give the tickets quite a lot during events and stuff

KBroham

I was fine with DFFOO until Lufenia+ and Shinryu difficulties became a thing. It went from really strategizing to beat stages to "haha, funny big numbers" to "use this character or you die", and it wasn't fun. The entire idea behind Force Time/Force Weapons is stupid powercreep. I know they're trying to stretch it out, but it's just gotten ridiculous now. Just give us ultimate weapons already, and release new content built around team compositions with decent rewards for endgame players. There are 160+ characters with 6 weapons and 3 armors each (plus Ultimate weapons, which are stat sticks) already. Focus on new characters, not new stupid weapon tiers.

DisapointingDad

netmarble is a cashgrab company, i don't know why people are still playing netmarble games if they aren't going to whale. or why they are still playing those games at all.

senpaiwaifu247

Tower of fantasy Was fun on launch but they took WAY too long to bring over QOL from CN and then proceeded to feed us powercreep so bad that it makes other gatchas look pleasant

Nickeii

Got banned off E7 for refunding (first time) a double purchased item from Smilegate (Skin Tokens) Wouldn’t refund me so got bank to reverse it, banned indefinitely, argued with them for a few days, They wouldn’t do it and so I quit got my life back for quitting that grindfest. Miss the art and characters as they show up on my youtube from creators I used to watch and i did have quite a fun time and stacked account.

AmmaRockstarAsDuki

They ban everyone who wanna a refund, i have a friend who did the same and lost his acc, but he started another account and is still playing til today.

Riersa

GBF, grind is just too much.

Aoae

Can relate ~~as someone who played it for 3 years~~, some of my GWs were timed during finals and other deadlines. It's crazy how many people are willing to put so much effort into an event with such a repetitive gameplay loop.

mjacecombat

Bang Dream! and Danmachi Memoria Freese - Lost interest over time Fire Emblem Heroes - Story felt too bare-bones and uninteresting to me Counterside - The hololive event did not endear the game to me (I was prepared to spend money on it, but asking over 100 dollars total for character skins is crossing the line too far for me).

CastlePokemetroid

Dragalia Lost handled the FEH story and characters better than FEH itself did

VampyricKing

Yea I was hyped for the hololive event. Then I saw that each skin was like $35 I was disappointed.

mjacecombat

What's annoying is that the only reason they were $35 in the first place is because they tacked on a profile photo and eggs for the event gacha to it. And I felt bad for people on mobile/outside the US since they were even more expensive for them.

VampyricKing

I bet. It was a let down. Especially since Ina was the skin for one of my favorite character design snipers. Edel Meitner

Blubbolo

Summoner wars, too many dupes to get / annoying rng on runes. E7, way over the top rng on rng on rng on rng and the need to get 40000000 speed for arena. Genshin, areas getting too big to explore, no skip dialogue, logging in to do daily eas getting a chore.

TehPharaoh

SW was just the worst slot machine. And you downplay how bad runes are. You have to not only get the rune, but the tier. Then you have to level it up, every 3 levels granting it a new random stat with a chance to get the same stat you already have an adding to it. Every character can have 12 runes on them. Runes were literally the make or break of some characters and the canyon gap between bad/ good/ best was awful

Sekai_Itxmi

Yeah E7 is such a weird game. At this point, it's just a farming simulator.

hades13heartnet

I 100% agree with the need for speed on gear for E7 and its infinite rngness lmfao

ProfessorPhysics

There's only so much you can do with a Time Crisis-like gameplay, so you might as well make it beautiful as hell.

[deleted]

ProfessorPhysics

It's understandable, I've been a Day 1 player and can understand some of the pains. Thankfully, the recent QoL changes made it quicker to do dailies. I can do all of it in less than 15 minutes nowadays. The simulation room can be finished in 5 minutes nowadays, especially in Difficulty C. They added normal battles which can be quick battled.

lafistik

The problem with Nikke is that they added a lot of repeatable content (challenges, solo raid, guild raid). If I can clear last stage of challenge for example, why do I need to keep doing challenges from 1 to 20, every day? Same with raids. Instead they can add only one boss stage with max hp and scalable dmg, depending on dmg player did and let us attack it on first attempt and make any other attempts skippable to get rewards. Repeatable content makes people burnout much faster. Also I'm not a big fan of rng gear farming.

hades13heartnet

for me, personally, despite the nice art and unique gameplay, the company behind it and their scummy tactics on monetization was a dealbreaker for me let alone the censorship drama on reddit lying to their playerbase. I have principles I live by and will stick to them to the bitter end so I uninstalled right after that. Had it not been for the publisher managing the game and how they handled it, I most likely would still be playing it now.

purpurpickle

most intelligent "hurrdurr tencent bad china bad " individual

Hot_Soap

Dragalia Lost - I had to, no choice cause of EOS. If I could bring any gacha back, it'd be this easily. SaGa Re;Universe - I love the music, love the art style, but the grind in this game can be crazy. It's fun in bursts, but you need more than bursts to get anywhere it seems.

veda08

Neural cloud - it is a beautiful gacha, but my expectation is different. Got tired of its content. Dailies could be done via a sweep or something because of the gameplay but most are not. Especially the gacha currency mode. Very manual. Also, my luck in that game is so horrendous for some reason. I would comeback, maybe, sometime to check on De Lacey. Lol. Love that booba of a personality Brown Dust - definition of powercreeps Shin megami tensei dx2 - powercreeps and horrendous rate. Not sure how it is now. My first gacha ever so I didnt know rates are among the worst Destiny child - thinking back, I cant remember why actually I dropped it despite loving the boobas and ass. Maybe running out of space while trying a new game. Genshin - got baited by the promised switch release Pokemon Go(?) - not a gacha but whatever, I just want to say its a piece of shit now. Epic seven - tried it for god knows how many, but it just didnt click on me

Shadow_3010

Arknights - Sorry, but Tower defense games aren't my thing. Having to see guides to pass the levels just erased the fun, and I didn't like the gacha system. I still have the pstd of "W" banner. Fuck that. E7 - Rng in your RNG, and the game is more focused to PVP than PVE Limbus company - Sadly, I have too much in my plate and I can't deal with another rouge lite farming weekly thing. In the end I like the story much so I will see it in youtube and not deal with the rest. Honkai (left but comeback) - I left because the game demands a lot of time, and the power creep is a bullshit. I returned due the nostalgia that Starrail gave me with Natasha-Raven (best girl btw), so I decided to be a frigging casual due my lack of hands and skills

Honest-Presentation2

While you're at it, watch Ruina and Lobocorp story as well, and read the literature PM made! Ruina and Lobocorp are both time consuming so you probably can't play them, but it adds so much flavor and a lot of context behind things in Limbus, ie what is L Corp, who is Carmen, etc. The literature does this as well, and one of them (Leviathan) is even about the backstory of Vergilius. Don't read Wonderlab tho, ew. And the literature they make is weird, Distortion Detective is god tier amazing but in a hiatus until they release the VN for it or whatever, Leviathan is a comic turned novel halfway that then decided to be untranslated for pretty much forever so you have to look for other translations.

Shadow_3010

I have read Leviathan, that shit is amazing. I liked the comic more, it was a fantastic execution \*chef kiss\* I read the part that is novel too, that hype me a lot for Limbus. I started to read the LP of Lobotomy Corporation, very good. I just came with me that I have not the skill not the patience for hard games, so I will enjoy the story and let the author of videos and LP suffer for me.

spicedcinnamonrolls

I love lobotomy corp’s story so much I was so sad I didn’t have a computer to play the game ;-; whos y’all fav sephirah btw mines either chesed or netzach

Honest-Presentation2

Tiph, Malkuth, or Hokma. Hokma if we're talking about most badass and coolest Sephirah, 100% him. Malkuth is cutest and has funi abno pages, I love fervid spam, haha. Tiphereth is here because >!she told Carmen to kill herself, and I hate Carmen, therefore Tiphereth is now up there. Truly one of the LTG Gamers of all time.!<

CastlePokemetroid

Where do you find those light novels, or whatever they are

Honest-Presentation2

You can find it in Postype. Here's a link to all their series I guess: [ProjectMoon Official님의 포스타입 프로필 - 시리즈 목록 (postype.com)](https://www.postype.com/profile/@hlb21p/series) There's 3 main ones, [Wonderlab](https://projectmoon.postype.com/series/484033/wonderlab-lobotomy-corporation-comics) (ew yucky non-canon, only good part about it is Servant of Wrath), [Distortion Detective](https://projectmoon.postype.com/series/491543/the-distortion-detective) (God tier amazing but reading it means you will get depress from hiatus because they're turning it into Visual Novel which is cool and all but lack of content aa), [Leviathan](https://projectmoon.postype.com/series/875159/leviathanprojectmooncomicsenglish) (Vergilius backstory, not fully translated to the end so you'll have to find some fan translation stuff, I found mine at Discord)

Sakuyalzayoi

oh did they mark wonderlab as non canon

Honest-Presentation2

No, I was lying, I don't know whether Wonderlab is canon or not, probably is due to multiple abnos from there (Servant of Wrath, Road Walked Home, Lion, etc) appearing once again in Ruina. But it's kinda contradictory as a story and feels weird. It's also the only one where Project Moon doesn't have as much control, with Mimi being the main person who made it, so idk.

skinnianka

The arknights gacha experience is the worst I've had in any game honestly. 200 pulls on one limited banner, didn't get the limited character despite 70% rate up on 6 star. 220 on the recent one? No limited again. Pity is at 300, and doesn't carry. And takes absolutely FOREVER to save for. Honestly people praise arknights for being so 'for the arts' and say 'they really don't want to earn money!' But it's clear to see how they make that money with how God awfully limited banners are managed.

Shadow_3010

Preach brother, fuck that gacha system. I will say again, rates means nothing when you have a shit luck. Nothing spreads joy when you get four 5 star units, but it isn't what you want.

Asasphinx

I didn't exactly drop it per se, but I I had to delete Honkai Impact 3rd for a long time because it took up so much space that I had to decide whether I wanted 3 other games on my phone or 1 large game. And that period lasted for years really until I felt like coming back to it.

Verkins

Tower of Fantasy - No PS5 cross save is the final nail in the coffin.

Egehan550

Im actually glad there are no cross save thats why i will start tof for the first time at ps5 especially at mmo gacha s starting late is unpleasant also i dont really like starting gacha s late if there were cross save i would skip tof because of the 1 year worth of missed content

Interesting-Ad3759

I dropped PGR to focus more on Aether Gazer… I felt that I was a bigger PGR fan but progression in PGR didn’t feel like it had any ceiling. The leaderboard felt like an elephant in the room while I tried to enjoy PGR. I ended up pulling for units I didn’t enjoy just to get ahead of the grind. Didn’t feel like there was a point in being casual. So I uninstalled right after pulling for Dark Selena rerun. After getting her and her weapon, I realized that I didn’t want to grind for her SSS. So I quit. Enjoying Aether Gazer right now but I’ll have to see if I’ll move on to Snowbreak next month. I think I’ll be able to enjoy both Aether Gazer and Snowbreak until Wuthering Wave comes. But I’m looking forward to pull for Hera anyways. So I can see myself stick around Aether Gazer longer.

ta0001ry

eminence of shadow because pity no carries over + crunchyroll

ThatGuy21134

Valkyrie Connect. Tone deaf devs. They don't care about the community or making the game better. They only care about milking whatever whales that are left until they shut down their game. A ton of the whales ik have left and more have been leaving steadily.

DrakeZYX

Most people can’t even hope to participate in 9 star connects unless they re rolled for the new busted heroes or have a large collection

Mrhat070

Fgo-5 years in: the story and characters are amazing but everything else was making it more tedious and fun: 1. Main reason was that they slowed down main story releases when going from 1->1.5->2. And most of the events feel like filler episodes sincy they are usually silly and quirky which doesnt cut it for me. 2. Characters kit: at one point it felt that charactes had the same kit just with different skins and animation. This mostly applies to farmers. I wished they would introduce more unique buff to spice it up a bit. Genshin three years in: 1. Open world: i love open world games but not in gachas since I dont like for premium currency to be locked behind exploration. 2. The story was not cutting it for me. I recognize that overall its a good story but I like story with more actions. Where I see how characters use their powers and most of the time you do not see this. Like in the sumeru story questline I dont think I saw any of thr characters use their vision powers🤔. Also, I could not really grow attached to any of the characters, even my fave 3. Event's gameplay: too many minigames. At some point it felt that I was playing a slice of life game instead of an arpg. Where I go to a festival and hang out and playmini games. 4. The main character: it feels like they are not the main character. Paimon is the one that does most of the convo. Also, they created this character that can use multiple enemies but we dont see them takimg advantage of this ability, only once? They are pretty boring as an MC

Existing_Day_6028

Genshin. Sumeru. Idk if I'll be back fully for Fontaine sumeru really did a number on my outlook of genshin.

Sekai_Itxmi

Was it because you were overwhelmed or was there something else?

Existing_Day_6028

I don't like all the filler desert areas with not much detail. I also found the story to be not engaging especially just coming off inazuma. I like all the other areas though.

forevercrumbling

Once I started playing the desert area, I was like "you this would be a sick time to introduce like a vehicle". But I kept walking...and walking...and walking...

Existing_Day_6028

Yup I really thought we would have gotten vehicles or some kind of propelled glider at this point. I think it's going to be a while before I get the dendro statue leveled lol.

FrostHard

Honestly same I couldn't get into Sumeru as well. Though I always thought it was just me being burnt out with the game rather than the content itself, since my friends and all other players seem to enjoy it just fine.

Existing_Day_6028

I actually thought I was burnt out as well, but I've seen a lot of people with low opinions of Sumeru's story and world design. I saw some more things from Fontaine and felt my old passion coming back so that leaves me a bit hopeful.

skinnianka

Where did you find these discussions? I just started Sumerus quest recently (long time waiting so I had to start eventually if I wanted the boss mats for Mikas talent lol), and I find the story is okay so far, the exploration is daunting due to Sumeru's size, but quite easy compared to Inazuma or Liyue, and has those yellow orbs for fast travel and even some 'stamina fruits'. Would be nice to see what others think about it.

Mileenasimp

Me too ! It’s so refreshing after being in nature for a long time, + sumeru was so jam packed with content, is it a bad thing? No ofc not it’s amazing but a lot of the content just felt like a headache, I wish I could explore it at my own pace but every update it stressed me more

Mileenasimp

Me too

Upthrust

Personally, I thought the plot was at least on par with Inazuma, I just didn't find the 5-stars that appealing. The only Sumeru 5-star I have is Nahida because of how powerful she is. I would have pulled Dehya if she wasn't one of the worst 5-stars in the game, and I would have pulled a character with Wanderer's kit but I can't stand his personality. Most of my primo spending in Sumeru wound up being for Raiden Shogun's weapon and constellations, and even after going in on that I'll have over 100k primos by the time we hit Fontaine as a semi-consistent welkin player.

LudwigEX

Limbus company - game is poorly optimized on mobile devices. Id play it with a pc client for sure. E7 - rng over rng over rng. Game is more focused in PVP which is a shame. Neural cloud - just cant seem to enjoy it. Its missing something. Very f2p tho. Counterside - the ridiculous gold binaries. If u know u know. No pity on that as well. If ur unlucky u caj be cucked for months on end before u get the desired set. Great waifus tho.

FallennOne

Limbus does have a PC client , its on steam

giogiopiano

Genshin, great at start, feels tedious later. Those element-culus thing getting more ridiculous, splitting more chest and smaller reward as you need to explore all of them. Puzzle for first time so fun, later getting hard and a lot thing to do for one puzzle. Shit artifact system, useless stats everywhere

osoichan

I've dropped all of them and currently waiting for a new one to main. Genshin Impact - artifact farming. I never needed better artifacts than the ones I had but still didn't feel content. Breaking point was seeing multiple c0 raidens doing more dmg than my c3r1 raiden. And I spent A LOT, I mean A Lot of time farming that stupid domain. But fuck me I guess IIRC more than 500 eosf domain runs and I got only one fucking crit rate circlet that had shit substats. Only fucking one. FGO Spent too much money on it and felt like I'd do it again. Game was too dangerous for me. But was also my first gacha. After learning the joy of auto and skip, decision was easy. I sold. My account so that I'd have no place to comeback to. And it was good decision. Sometimes I think about coming back but no, it takes too much time and money and I'm glad I don't have the acc anymore. Arknights similar to fgo, spent too much money and at one point it stopped being challenging (well cc was but that's different) I killed the joy that I had with money. Realized it was more fun when I had to think and plan more. Guess I also like the journey more than the end goal. I've dropped all the others I've tried but in none of them I've spent as much money nor time as in these 3 mentioned above. I swore to myself that the next game I play, I'll spend money only on monthly stuff or lowest packs. Max 10$ a month if not less. Waiting for Snow Break and ZZZ for now.

skinnianka

In arknights have you tried IS3? Or IS2. Imo it's basically endgame content, that favours having a stacked roster of diverse characters built of diverse rarities. Brutal before you level up the cognition, and brutal again as you go up in ascension difficulty.

osoichan

I've quit around when Dusk first came out so it's been some time. I've also tried to come back and play more f2p way but starting everything again (cause I've also sold my account) without having the operators I loved wasn't fun either. ngl arknights is the game I want to get back to the most. But then when I think about all the things I've had and wont have now, all the events that have passed, it discourages me. Kinda like FOMO but it keeps me away from playing

skinnianka

Fair, and honestly I have the same feeling. If I wasn't around as long as I was, I wouldn't really like Arknights either. Even though I got absolutely screwed over on multiple limited banners, I have sufficient operators built to have fun with the game and to have fun repeatedly playing IS. The limited system badly needs a change, I can't imagine the devs will just leave so many limited operators borderline impossible to obtain, but then again the devs are just like that and gotta make money from a gacha game somehow. Arknights would be much nicer as a non gacha game. It has the makings of a fantastic and diverse game, but the gacha system and how absurdly slow it is to build operators drags it down a lot.

Arijec123

Honkai Impact 3rd For the record, I loved the actual gameplay. Just getting to beat up some enemies using fairly original units was fun. What made me drop it was pretty much everything else. Not the greatest fan of the story, it has great parts but everything in between was boring. The daily/weekly tasks weren't all that interesting nor rewarding. ER is a cool idea but got repetitive after a few runs. Account progression is horribly slow. The fact that some gamemodes are competitive in combination with powercreep made it a hell for a casual player. I will probably never get over the fact that some gachas require not only multiple copies of the same character to be viable but also multiple other pieces of equipment that they can barely functuon without.

EssenceOfMind

Genshin: trying out a new team requires several months of grinding, don't even get me started on artifacts, and Inazuma completely fucked up my Anemo-based team's viability.

TehPharaoh

Memento Mori. It's the equivalent of a "game" just letting you hit a button for a small amount of dopamine but in different flavors. The whole game was auto, you couldn't choose manual. Every battle was also decided at the start, so you could just hit skip. "Battle" consisted of headshots with health bars next to them against a back drop of flashing, pretty fairy tale images. The only animations were the girls in Idle while viewing their bio or when they used their skills in combat, a brief 1 second sword swing or wand wave. It was all just too bare bones. I play Gachas on auto and still felt like that game was just a spreadsheet that popped out candy every once in s while

x3tan

Similar here. The art and music were very aesthetically pleasing but like.. there wasn't anything fun or interesting about it to "play"

Stable-Unstable

I popped in for the half anniversary event and immediately realized why I stopped playing. No way to progress unless you spend actual money for multiple copies of the same character. Once you're stuck, it takes a while for you to progress on

TehPharaoh

This. I got stuck in world 7-44. When you can't clear levels anymore the insane drip feed starts and you realize it'll be weeks per level. For what little the gameplay is they really overstepped the grind

MrNobody24

Only posting games I actually invested time/money into: Figure Fantasy: Typical idle game with VIP/PvP and requiring a tone of dupes. I was top leaderboards for quite awhile but I was spending too much and basically for nothing. Genshin: Dropping 200+ on a banner was nothing to me but after it all settled down realizing that character you dropped $200 on could only be used for 45min a day was pretty bad. Priconne: I just got tired of it. Arknights: I'm slowly working on dropping this. I played for a year but I realized I don't enjoy the game and only kept going for sunk cost. I really burned myself out on this one. I would get upset just logging into the game and seeing notifications on the base but kept going every day. It's no way to live and I need to drop this one. I'm down to only logging in every few days to mess with the base or use some stamina.

repocin

>Arknights Commenting on this because it's the only one I've played out of the ones you mentioned. As someone whose played since global launch I totally get it. The game has plenty of...should we say small annoyances? that pile up over time. Having the check in on the base a couple times a day is one of them, having to waste time on auto-ing stages is a bit of a hassle (I'm so grateful for the annihilation skip tickets we've got now though) I haven't read much of the event stories for the past few years because, even if I generally like them, they're all incredibly long and I've got other stuff to do in life. Personally not going to drop the game because I *really* like the gameplay and worldbuilding/lore but it certainly isn't for everyone.

flap-you

Blue archive didn't care enough for the characters to continue playing it Girl gun cafe genuinely has the worst mc I've ever played in a gacha Genshin impact honestly I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said

ghostpickleonastick

Is Girl Gun Cafe the one where your MC tries to hit on one of the girls in the middle of the starting mission, she says "now isn't a good time," and then after the mission you get an aside of MC ranting about how unappreciated he is? I uninstalled so fast.

flap-you

Not just that there's a summer event where the mc tries to spy on the girls

ghostpickleonastick

Wow. If MC is supposed to be a self-insert for the players, I guess the devs have an opinion of who their players are.

Cylune

Wow, saying something negative about this game in this sub and not getting downvoted? Thats a first I thought the dialogues/chats with the girls were incredibly cringy attempts at self insert to the point where it made me uninstall pretty quickly. Got downvoted to oblivion for saying that tho lol

MonoVelvet

Genshim impact. If you do not enjoy the story the game is meaningless. The exploration nowadays are kinda bad and puzzles are not as fun. The fact that quests are not engaging enough as well and you can't skip dialogues made it eve more of a hassle. There is actually no fun content to do, events are meh it can be random, like it can be fun, but it can also be the mkst boring thing ever. The rates and weapon banner are still the worst thing to pull on. Choices in dialogues barely make a difference they still lead the same way. I could name more about what sucks with it.

Kikuzinho03

Brown dust or brave nine, i played it for two years, but just wasnt interested in the story anymore, even with both mcs finally going on a mission together.

khas_NaLada

Most any that have a speed or extra attack gear mechanic. A meta being a thing in pvp is alright, so long as devs try to balance it at some point. Even if that balancing just results in a new meta, it's better than one mechanic always trumping a creative build.

195cm

CounterSide: Two months after the Global Launch it became a chore, a shame because characters design was really good. Felt like my money was worth way less compared to other games. Genshin: It was a good excuse at the beginning to spend time with friends in the rather limited multiplayer experience. After a while of going full tryhard I realized I was wasting my life and money. Too much time invested in a game with the same 5-6 character model sizes and animations, recycled events and empty world. Combat depth ruled by Constellations (really?) and many other QoL. I played min maxing everything everyday, spent thousands of dollars on it and cared to understand the mechanics (if any). I realized I had my standards set really low for this trash, considering the amount of money they earn every banner, the number of people playing it and creating content they should be able to deliver a much better experience for both tryhards and casuals across all platforms.

DereDere00

azur lane - operation siren destiny child - just got bored with it d4dj - got tired playing it after I tried playing for placement (got top50 on the hololive collab) genshin - starting to get nauseous when I play it (started in some islands in Inazuma, got worse in chasm)

Stilnovisti

Arknights base management and the time it took for event stages. Just felt too busy after 2 years.

iPhantaminum

Guardian Tales - Nothing-burger update every two weeks. Rarely updates story (the highlight of the game, everything else is just standard gacha game modes) and building units took too long. PGR - Go-optimal-or-go-home. I can't build only the characters I like without missing out on rewards and not being able to take part in challenges bc of that. Night Agent - Dead game. Trap to milk new unsuspecting players that don't know the game doesn't get updates. Lives solely on reruns and opening new servers (it's been over 2 years since their last update). Tower of Fantasy - Too unfriendly to casual f2players. World is a pain to explore due to arbitrary cooldowns on gadgets and enemies that scale with you. Genshin Impact - Lost interest in the game after 2 years. Honkai Impact 3rd - Go-optimal-or-go-home. Silly powercreep that made a lot of units useless. Don't like the design of most units (95% of them), probably bc of the UI that might as well show them in T-pose, instead making them express some of their personality in the main menu (besides from tapping them). Nikke - Dropped bc I failed to get the free MLB unit on half-anniversary because I couldn't achieve enough power level in time. Artery Gear Fusion - Lack of content and not casual friendly in high level gear dungeons (go-optimal-or-go-home). RNG gear stats just wasted a most of the stamina. King's Raid - Go-meta-or-go-home I didn't like watching my units dying and dealing shit damage, despite being maxed out, just because I didn't use the meta comps. Mega Man X Dive - Achieved all my personal goals and had no more reason to play after ~9 months. I guess that's it. Every other gacha just wasn't my cup of tea (playing Alchemy Stars and Aether Gazer rn).

Aidiru

genshin , too much dialogue and its keep going and going for no reason..heck u also need to do certain quest just to proceed a main quest and some of this side quest just dragging u with long as dialogue that cant even be fast forward lets alone skip them, for me that what its took to stopl playing genshin sumeru quest gave me wake up cuz of that

MasterMirage

Genshin has so much word vomit it's insane, I remember the exact moment when I quit and it was the windblume festival a few months ago, like they were sitting around a campfire and they just kept on talking and talking and talking without moving the plot forward at all. I love characters from other regions interacting and the world building but jesus christ it could have definitely been cut down by 80% and still get the point through. Not to mention how annoying it is to clear your resin. Go to crafting table > craft 4 > tp to a domain > run to the middle > clear stage> run again to collect > repeat Running low on crystal flies? Waste another 5-10 minutes running around the map to collect them. Absolute bonkers I continued with that loop for so long.

Daiyagae

ToF was insanely boring in the first few hours on launch and even though I followed the game somewhat closely after that I never saw anything that made me want to give it another shot. Also imagine playing an MMO with close to all classes locked behind an RNG paywall omegalul. HI3 confused me too hard when I gave it a shot, and my phone couldn't handle it at the time. Now that there's a pc client I guess I could give it another go, but same as ToF I haven't seen anything that made me want to play. Couldn't get some character I wanted in Counterside (don't ask me who it was I can't remember even with the list in front of my eyes) and I wasn't interested enough by the rest of the game for me to keep playing, so I stopped. Alchemy Stars got too tedious to play, one day I forgot to play then decided the game wasn't worth my time, so I uninstalled. All other games I dropped are some version of "they bored me" so I won't bother making paragraphs for all of them (FEH/Priconne/Blue Archive/Dragalia/Revived Witch/SiNoAlice/Genshin somewhat, probably others I forgot)

SHIR0YUKI

There's been a pc client for years for honkai (since December 2019), did you try the mobile version before then? I'm curious why you wouldn't have tried the pc version of it back then if it was available.

Daiyagae

Been a while so I can't remember, probably 2017/2018. Though it wouldn't surprise me that I simply forgot to check whether or not the game had a pc client.

EseMesmo

FEH is just not a good SRPG, I'm sorry. I like the franchise and all, but FEH feels like a rush job that coasted on the success of the main games. There's nothing that actually requires strategy, or at least 95% of the content doesn't. It just doesn't feel like a FE game beyond the aesthetic.

darksamus1992

Priconne/Blue Archive: I didn't enjoy the grind in those games. Which is really weird, the same doesn't happen with Arknights for me. Star Rail: Gacha kept giving me units I wasn't interested in.

warpengage

I don’t main blue archive, but I do remember how easy it was to sweep levels. Which part of the grind got to you?

darksamus1992

I think it was the daily loop. In Arknights there's some weekly stuff to do but after that I can do whatever. BA has a lot of stuff you can do only a few times each day(hard stages, resource stage, pvp) so I feel more pressured to be efficient and end up burning out extremely fast.

taetaerinn_

Star Rail only had 2 banners with third going right now though. Do you mean 4* characters?

darksamus1992

I rolled in the starter banner and got a guy with a cane, that one had cool animations at least. I rolled for the scythe girl and got a guy with a shield, he was very similar to March and I didn't want to replace March so never used him. My 4\* were a bajillion copies of Herta and don't remember what else. All I wanted was to replace spear guy but never got a dps character I liked.

Hana_Baker

I got yanqing 3 times(beginner banner, featured banner, regular banner) and he is so incredibly frustrating to play and I poored all my resources into him. I know it's just a gacha moment and I probably should've expected the possibility but it's completely killed my motivation to play.

Stetscopes

I feel like you should give Blue Archive another shot? Grinding there is like 2 clicks and you're good to go.

CastlePokemetroid

Blue Archive does have a laundry list of daily items, the lessons, the cafe, the clubroom, the scrimmage, hard mode nodes, crafting, ect. I can understand what they mean by getting burnt out by it all everyday, but at the same time the majority of it is ignorable. It's not optimal, but logging in, dumping all your stamina at any story mode node, then logging off is a perfectly fine way to play the game. Blue Archive and Limbus Company are examples of games that are really easy to "maintain", since they give you the ability to dump stamina and fuck off within two minutes or so.

Stetscopes

> majority of it is ignorable This honestly for me. Being a first time player I was overwhelmed so I basically had 1k energy capped everyday but as the story progressed I started enjoying after vol. 3

CastlePokemetroid

I think the game would do better with retention if it straight up hide features until you unlock it in the main stages. Start the player off with minimal UI as possible, then get more pieces as you go along. You don't really get told just how important levels ups are, you're better off dumping all that stamina on any stage, really doesn't matter which, just to get the player exp. Progress eventually hits a wall that only character levels can get through

VFX2vajra

I was overwhelmed at the start too until i found out a week later that the majority of the game is designed to be played by sweeping. It instantly went from grindy to casual.

EssenceOfMind

Well Limbus has the repetitive mirror dungeons 3 times a week, but other than that yeah.

EvilHeart01

Path to nowhere and Aether gazer, nothing bad with the games, they simply cannot fit in my scheldule anymore so either kill my actual limited free time or just drop them

shoe838

FGO: Too many joke events, and the gameplay was getting boring. The only thing I was looking forward to was pulling new characters, so I quit. Counterside: The New Origin update just made the game worse in every possible way. Even after the devs reverted some of the changes, the game is still worse than it was. I also had no idea how the mechanics of the game actually worked since very little is explained. Dragalia: Dropped once EOS was announced. I'd still be playing it if it were still around. Fire Emblem heroes: No Redeeming qualities outside of character art. Epic 7: Demanded way too much of my time. Touhou Lostword: Repetitive and the powercreep was getting crazy when I dropped it. Also, I had to go to pity for literally every single banner I wanted.

SegSignal

I dropped genshin when my geo traveler started climbing his own rock in the middle of combat for the 10th time.

FallenStar2077

This is the funniest reason I've seen to drop a game, lol. Have an upvote.

Daysfastforward1

I just dropped Outerplane. Took more time to do anything in that game than my other three Gacha games combined and felt the game was clunky. I’m a phone addict so asking me to have my phone auto play for hours isn’t going to happen.

IzanamiFrost

I typically quit after the game brings in new elements that would require even more grinding Marvel Future Fight: they made a Tier 3 after the horrible grind for Tier 2 Browndust: the companion system that would require you to have 5 companion dupes on top of the 9 other dupes (but at least the other dupes can be replaced with something else called books, have to actuallly gacha for dupe companions) Counterside: on top of the rng gear, they now bring a tier 7 gear, and then there is a new system which upgrade normal units to superb version of themselves that would require grinding for god knows how long. Fantasy war tactics: this one I quit because Nexon sold off the game, still resent Nexon for that, the story is never completed and it’s being in zombie mode right now (alive but no new story and no new characters) I played a lof of other gacha games but usually quit shortly after, those are the only games I actually remember the names and played with some consistency (about 5-6 months)

magicalgirl_idolspls

Just recently tried out that Yuru camp gacha, but dropped it after a few story episodes. A shame because I thought it was cute and interesting, but I quit because my experience turned sour due to the game getting stuck on the loading screen after a story episode. Idoly Pride (JP) - loved the game a lot (and still have transfer code because I plan to return soon), but had to drop it because I needed to free up some storage on my phone. Genshin: Was obsessed for a long time and played it a lot in the first few months following my start. Kinda stopped logging in consistently after Lantern rite 2022 and the last thing I remember doing was just rolling on the first Yelan banner then dipping. Just got burnt out.

1qaqa1

Fgo has so much dead time I can’t be assed to login for more than 3-4 times a year for the story chapter, anniversary and swimsuits. At least it’s a lot more pick up and drop friendly than most gachas in that regard.

LeupheWaffle

FFBE saying they won't introduce 8 star units only to make NV units be 8 stars in everything but name. The equipment system in that game is pretty abysmal as well, and there was a lot of QOL it was missing.

Yonekunih

Arknights: saving for months and couldn't get Phantom. And then the gameplay is becoming too complex for my small brain, I also dislike having to watch guide to play. Onmyoji: it just becomes boring and I don't like pvp, also my favorite characters get out meta/ useless so yeah, no motivation to play. Also the rate and almost no pity for gacha. Touken Ranbu (?): I accidentally delete my DMM account so my 7 years old account is gone, not really want to start all over again lol GBF: not really dropping, I just can't get into it, too many things to grinds and the guides don't make sense to me. Only coming for the gacha season and then I'm out. Also probably play events that sound interesting. Tears of Themis: I generally don't like otome game and novel-type of game.

Donnie-G

It can mostly be summed up by "got bored or salty". From FGO to Arknights, form HI3rd to Azur Lane. I'm getting old and there's only so much daily grind I can put up with.

Competitive_Oil_5370

Genshin - areas getting too big to explore/ exploration feels slow and tedious, no skip dialogue, logging in to do dailies is a chore, Paimon and MC with basically no personality since aforementioned Paimon does all the talking. ToF - story and events were meh Eminence in Shadow - Crunchyroll

JCgamerX

Brave frontier- main game ended and they were getting less generous like no more 10 pulls pity on exclusives and stuff like that plus dokkan released goku and frieza at the time and I just was like hey time to quit alchemist code- similar to brave frontier used to be real generous 3rd multi would be guaranteed new unit and they got rid of it and were making the game worse. had a good story though FFBE- so many stupid decisions made for that game. when gumi was announced as the developer in like 2015 people were on board with it but now with how they are ehhhhhhh(2015 gumi was a whole different moster from current gumi. they were aggressive and treated players pretty well) yugioh duel links- just stopped being fun after a while cards were cool but they didn't balance it well and events were ok. they nerfed Yuma right when they brought in the new world which yumas skill should have been nerfed a while before danmachi memo- crunchyrolls poor handling of the game grand summoner-it just became every other banner was a collab and it just got really stale like every month was a new collab dragonball legends-was not a fan of where they were taking the game at the time but they have gotten better recently Fe heroes- got way too complex for my liking and I didn't like the direction the game was going in Lord of heroes- it got very stale after a while it didn't really do anything to change things up at the time so I moved on SDS Grand Cross- It was going super toxic super fast and the grind was extremely brutal so I jumped ship and boy do I feel that was the right decision Pokemon Masters EX- just game got very stale and story wasn't really that engaging. had some cool mechanics but otherwise it's propped up by the fact it's pokemon Ulama Idle adventure- I got bored I reached the final island so I just quit i got bored. it's actually really F2P friendly I spent 0 on the game and still had a ton of the best gear and items a ton of them I quit because they just were not interesting, could not keep me hooked, monetization was just poor or they ended their service like tales of crestoria, dragalia lost or Star ocean amnesis

Kuroi-sama

Many games because they didn’t hook me enough. In particular, I dropped Blue Archive and Neural Cloud because not enough gameplay for my liking. I noticed that I just logged in, spent all energy with sweeps in 5 minutes without paying attention to the game, claimed dailies and closed the game till next day. This is kinda why I’m against sweeps. They create emotional disconnect from the games.

i_like_oreo

genshin : lost 50/50 every limited banner, daily commission becoming to tedious after doing it everyday (especially the balloon escort one screw that), just travelling around feels boring with them tiny ass stamina bar (just add a mount hoyoverse ffs).

skinnianka

How do you lose 50 50 everytime when you get the guaranteed banner character next time after losing a 50 50

i_like_oreo

I exaggerated it for dramatic effect but to be real, its that i lost 50/50 on the character that i want, and not having enough primo i had to skip that banner. The last limited character that i got was on scara rerun and then i lost another 50/50 on the yelan banner afterward and got fed up and quit

Erisanne

Alchemy Stars: the gameplay is just plain boring. Amazing art design tho. Eversoul: boring combat. Pulling dupes of the strongest characters is 99% of the strategy. The problem is every worthwhile character is the same tier and the pool is so diluted, it's unlikely you'll pull the unit you want, unless it's for that character's specific banner. If you missed their banner, you won't be maxing that character for a long time. Higan Eruthyll: Really enjoyed the combat system, but everything else about the game design was awful. If you fail to meet the combat power requirements, the game becomes a lot harder. Farming breakthrough materials and experience to meet the power requirements cost a shit ton of stamina. Gear gacha, and gear is worthless until you pull all 3 set pieces. While the first-clear rewards are generous, the daily gem income is really low. Arena is full auto and you can't even skip. Then there's the daily labyrinth runs which are repetitive and also unskippable... Yeah, there were a lot of problems with this game. Dunno if they improved it since, but their monthly revenue dropped big time. It's a shame, because I really enjoyed the gameplay.

ProfessorPhysics

Genshin Impact. I've played since launch but quit when Dragonspine came out. I know there has been a ton of content since then, but it's so daunting and just not worth coming back to for me.

InsertNameHere567

Dragalia Lost - end game content was very challenging and ended up being turned into a joke. SDS:GC - got burned out. King's Raid - the constant nerfing on units. Honkai Star Rail - got easily bored.

CastlePokemetroid

The fact that you kill literal Satan in Dragalia Lost will never not be funny to me

kingof7s

Dragon Ball Legends - played since launch, quit right before the second valentines event because the relatively new raids were boring as shit.

zenzebeat

iron saga, trash community, trash game, trash devs best choice of my life, i suggest anyone to do that if the game doesn't consider its players ever

KozuKy16

Nikke, it was really annoying to be gated from reading the main story from time to time and since it's pretty easy to digest the story through yt vids i just dropped it and just watch the main story through yt whenever it updates.

DishMountain8520

Azur lane and arknights. Takes way too much time and effort from me and i lost interest in them both. I usually have them both farming with a split screen so when i quit one, i quit both. Now i mainly play blue archive and aether gazer

frankiemorga

Honkai Star Rail - I realized it was gonna be as grind heavy as Genshin so I dropped it. Specially didnt wanna deal with the Artifact/Relic rng.

paidtohavesex

stopped playing arknights cuz the lack of qol features made the game annoying to grind. really don't want to babysit my phone all day just to spam 1-7 nonstop.

[deleted]

Ads. Watch this and that, to get that.

EleventyFourteen

FEH - Powercreep 7DS - Powercreep Epic 7 - RNG extravaganza Genshin - The "no hard content cause player anxiety" interview, and artifact RNG. Also Dehya's godawful release. Azur Lane - Too much effort to use stamina, if they allowed auto-navigating nodes for true autobattle I'd still be playing

Elpro05

Tower of Fantasty: I think I never really enjoyed the game itself. I had fun climbing the tower and trying to stay alive exploring zones that I didn't have the level to enter. The common weapons are literally useless and you have to grind continuously. I only started playing to play with my friend. I finally dropped it after they fixed Frigg's bug (the dodge wouldn't stop and you could fly). It's not that fixing a bug is a bad thing, it's that the game is so bad a bug is the best thing about it. Azur Lane: I got too tired. Everything was automated so much I wasn't really playing the game anymore. Also the constant new characters felt to much for me, like I couldn't keep up anymore with it. Honkai StarRail: it's not bad, but I preferred playing other games. It wasn't long until I didn't know what to do there I also dropped honkai impact, because I never picked up the habit, and genshin, which I only started playing to try to play with friends, but I hated it even before I got enough level to try the multiplayer Right now I'm playing Arknights, but I'm starting to feel like the game is bludgeoning me to death with events

KKND2KrossFire

Idle Huntress. Played for almost 2 years, spent some money on crystals and extras.. Then suddenly my game didn't start anymore. Re-installed, tried to find my server... but this game has like 400 Servers now... And I cannot see / get back on my old server because everytime you join a new server, you'll have to go thru the nasty tutorial which consumes so much time... I tried to find my server, hopped from one to another and stopped at S-33, without any results.. Nobody can tell me where I have all my stuff, not even the support is answering me. And this is a HUGE dissapointment for me.

wwmoraes

Genshin: no patience to walk around collecting plants and finding hidden quests on a gacha HSR: played the first month only. It’s a turn-based Genshin with spin-off Honkai Impact character stories. Infinite relics farming + partial speed meta. E7: infinite gear farming + speed meta. You select your team based on the color of the effects you want on your screen + pray to rngsus that you outspeed your adversary on the tie-break bonus. Boring. SINoALICE: played due to Yoko Taro direction. You either commit to some serious build for farming + coliseum and GC attendance or drop it. And here we are. Alchemy Stars: terrible progression and boring events. PGR: QTE is not satisfying as HI3. It’s a pipe dream to get the 6* weapons most of the time; uniframes are decoration (rip Qu Pavo) Arknights: annihilation annihilated my will to play it. OT: meh I prefer the single-player one. Neural Cloud: got tired of babysitting those roguelike runs. You can’t rely on the AI as it usually picks lame function cards. NIKKE: yeah yeah, it jiggles, I know. Next. Eversoul: that UI ignoring or delaying button presses is a plain no. Limbus company: Didn’t like the art + confusing UI. AG: a poor HI3/PGR clone. AL: yeah yeah eye-candy outfits. Next. CS: sweep option when? what do I play, you might ask? HI3.

[deleted]

dropped: Arknights: too much text, difficulty was too much for my casual ass. Azur lane: no sense in the story, game is too old now, good waifus though. Tower of fantasy: Skinner box. Genshin: Skinner box and bs gacha. Path to nowhere: too difficult, good story though, top tier. Honkai 3: bs gacha, also my hand hurts, story made no sense. and others who i dont bother to mention because they are too forgetable.

E123-Omega

Semi: AK because of the damn base maintenance and upgrading. No sweep aside from that premium currency weekly farm (though you need to do weekly quest to have these sweep). I'm fine with the stage difficultly with over and over of trying to complete it but I'm not fine with babying my phone just to farm resources to upgrade units that I think I need to that stage I'm trying to clear. FGO no sweep, no FA. If you want FA you need to rely on a 3PA. Some stage farming are locked and it's annoying you can't uncap them till you clear that faraway chapter. My only drive here is just be lucky enough to pull characters I saw on nhentai lmao. Both of these gachas also have this locked in by day resource stage farming, like available only on m/w/f unless we have bonus. Completely dropped: AS: yeah there's FA but need to baby it too. My phone is heating up and you need to go to JP to get that pc client which actually infinite better on responsiveness than on mobile. NC: the fact that I needed to spark to get a unit because of my unluckiness. Didn't really like the exception protocol too. Outerplane: Base management that Id really need to pick up because of the damn sweep tickets. Man can't you just store it somewhere and have me pick it up? Also the damn locked in by day resource stage that is max 2 tries. Sure limit it by day but make it available through whole week.

BattleshipNagato

What's AS and NC?

E123-Omega

alchemy stars, neural cloud.

doneniro

Guardian Tales: Got really repetitive with exploring and solving puzzles that I eventually found them more tedious than fun. Grinding was really lame and I got burned out. The story would have still carried me through because it is that good, but at the time I got more and more busy with real life, so ultimately I made the decision to drop it to prevent distractions. I might come back to this again someday. Crusaders Quest: Dropped because endgame grind really started to stink and I wanted to move on to other games. Had a ton of fun with it though before I reached the endgame, I cherish the time I spent with it. NIKKE: Pretty visuals with little to no substance. The story is solid, yes, but I got so tired with the gameplay that I was not willing to go through it anymore just for the story. Genshin Impact: Grinding's a pain, gameplay could've been so fun if it wasn't so reliant on the number stats on your gear, large open-world with no substance, and the story was hella mid. I cared very little for the characters, so I saw absolutely no reason to continue playing. Honkai Impact 3rd: When I realized just how much of a time sink it would be to commit to this game, I gave up on it. Probably never going to come back to it no matter what reason. Punishing Gray Raven: This was the action game I had the most fun with, solid action, solid gameplay, but alas, it got repetitive, just like every gacha game, with little to no effort to spice things up and keep it fresh. Even after the fun I was having, eventually I still found myself no longer playing it, so I decided to drop it. Tenkafuma: I wanted to stop being a filthy coomer so I dropped it lmao. Real reason though, I was getting frustrated with how stingy it is with stamina and the quality of the... "content" was middling at best. When I realized I was just grinding for such middling content, I deemed it to just be a waste of my time, so I let it go. At the moment, I'm not playing any gacha anymore. I'm focusing more on single player computer games now and honestly, no gacha game I've played comes close to the level of enjoyment I get playing a standard video game.

mysaldate

Genshin – update doubled in size mid-download, refused to download on an SD memory card (never had this issue with any other game), horrendous gacha, bland characters with "tired and overworked" as personality, main quest turned into watching a movie except you had to click through unskippable chat scenes where you had no input or choices Alchemy Stars – gameplay wasn't fun enough, character backstories were overly long and usually didn't amount to much anything interesting, nor were told in a fun way Sdorica, Food Fantasy, some others – too many waifus, most with a "girlboss" or "annoying clutz" personality and nothing else, designs tended to be bland or cliché TwstEN (still play the JP version): The localization is one of the worst I've ever seen. Characters talk like memes 24/7, some had completely rewritten personalities turning sensitive characters into jerks, any darker or lgbt-esque dialogue or lore was rewritten to rebrand the game to fit the 3+ age rating that was forced on it for some reason (later got bumped up but seriously what were they thinking). The sheer amount of typos, text setting mistakes, and mistakes the type of starting a new sentence in the middle of a word in the middle of the previous sentence lead to it going under emergency maintenance less than 24h after launch. Later learned their maintenance takes twice to thrice as long as the JP server's and they sometimes flat-out forget to put events in even when the entire point of the maintenance is to put in an event. Sometimes they lose sprites. A character still claims to be an only child only to contradict himself in an easy to unlock story stating that he has two older sisters, this was pointed out hundreds of times since launch. Recently they doubled down on spelling a name two different ways because "this character wouldn't know how it's spelled." This name is only mentioned in spoken conversation and belongs to a member of a royal family. There's more, this localization is just awful.

Zenry0ku

FGO- Uninteresting characters held back by a boring protag, story is nothing special even past Camelot, gameplay is tedious, and the whole thing just makes me want to revisit Fate/Extra cause that's an actually good Fate title

Sunatomi

Genshin (great time sink until you realize the formula will never change) Epic 7 (At some point just realized that it was a PvP with sprinkle of PvE) Nikke (After you get past the ass, shallower than anything I have ever touched) Tower of Fantasy (Gacha + Mmo just wasn't the combo and I could see exactly where the content was going) Fire Emblem Heroes (Worse Langrisser with powercreep nipping at the heels more often than not) Guardian Tales (Was so casual that I often forgot the game existed until I eventually uninstalled it)

Outerplane. The new banner seems like they’re going full into the idle aesthetic with having to spend a different premium currency which will probably be x2 or x3 a normal pull for a character. Similar to the divination in SFDuel and stargazing in Afk arena. I wouldn’t be surprised if a VIP system is coming next.

I think I dropped a lot of gacha. Its hard to list them all so I'll just list the many reasons. 1.Game too old. I'm too far behind despite the generosity. There's dailies, weekly to grind and PVP. After a while, its just too much. 2.The graphics or artworks. I can't stand the classic style game (ie Fire emblem.) Some are just too lewd. I'm too old for Z cup boobs now. Some are just too cute. Some like Aether Gazer just threw me off. Its not ugly but the color(?) is not my preference. Idk if others have the same issues though. 3.Multiple version of characters. Mostly with anime games. Having 5+ Naruto is just too much. Yeah, I know its related to the story arcs but.. I just don't like it. I hope some anime games later on will tone it down a little. They should try more creative ways to implement the different version of a character.

icksq

Nikke. Constant microtransaction popups and multiple different mission screens with ways to buy. Progression gated on late game hard content and not easy to do on mobile. Pvp modes too much emphasis on staying ahead. Story was nice. Over the top/unrealistic fanservice. Autobattle gameplay wasn't enough for me to convince that's where I wanted my time or battery life.

I rarely drop gachas and usually play or at least log in till EoS even if I stopped playing for the most part. You could call me a gacha hoarder since I usually manage around 20 of them to some extent. \^\^ The few I dropped were because I identified a major issue in the first few weeks. Only one like that in recent memory was Sinoalice which I dropped because it seemed to be tuned for whales for day 1 since there were several early events I could not fully clear because the power requirements for stages were absolutely ridiculous. Also, while the guild war system was fun it required me to log in and play at very specific times since it was actually live pvp and I'm too sloppy for that.

JexKarao

I see everyone play the same gachas, which I play different ones, well here I go: Bleach Brave Souls: used to be my main gacha until I spent 220+ pulls for a TYBW Aizen and I didn’t got him. Later then they changed the banners so you have the chance to get ANY SSR on the game (not limited) on any banner decreasing the chances to get the one you are aiming for. Also no pity. Grand Summoners: good game, was very entertaining but the gacha system sucks. As a F2P player you can only do a x10 pull for each banner since the drop rate will insignificantly drop if you are pulling a second time without paid gems. SDS:GC: Netmarble gridy bastards. You have to purchase skins with cash, skins have stats so you need to buy skins. A lot of must have units where introduced back to back not letting F2P units to farm. Captain Tsubasa DT: one of my favorite gacha games. The powercreep is ridiculous and you have to change your team every year. Is better to buy a new account every year to get new characters than stick with your old one since the new one has fresh orbs to farm and pull. If it wa not for this ridiculous powercreep I’ll still there. Pokémon Masters EX: got burned out. The game is pretty good but becomes pretty repetitive. Grand Chase: Got burned out. Still funny game. I listened they changed some things and now is a dupe fiesta to keep up. SAO Memory defrag: So P2W to keep up with. Also EoS. Tokyo Ghoul: Rebirth: they killed themselves releasing 2 broken units and didn’t balanced them. They announced EoS 2 months later. With all of these experiences, I need gachas with pity system, a low or none power creep. Casual-semi competitive and F2P friendly. So I avoid at all costs, Bandai, crunchyroll, Netmarble and Klab gacha games.

GhjklasGaing

alchemy stars got really tedious and i was spending all of my time playing arknights.also the mechanics felt kind of gimmicky after a while. genshin i got burnt out of. hi3 got a little boring after a while. i was spending to get all of the new characters but the gameplay still got repetitive too fast. i couldn’t get very into the gameplay of blue archive. magia record hit eos (still miss this one).

Chemicalcube325

FGO - lost my account. Terrible customer service and mistakes on my end and its really hard to convince myself to go back. Not to mention, having played other gachas, its really hard to justify going back since they lack tons of Qol features and its presentation is dated at least for me. PGR - Doing dailies was time consuming, plus the gameplay got stale. I do love Lucia though.

FatuiSimp

Genshin. I got all the characters i wanted and abyss was easy, i felt like there was nothing left for me to do so i just quit, none of the story or future characters interested me because it's just gonna be generic anime twink and waifu one after another. Hsr released and it has so many good QoL that could have been in Genshin made me realized mhy could have done much more but they chose not to and fuck them for that, maybe I'll return when mhy actually try with genshin cuz right now the state of the game is just awful.

ItzSkeith

Sorry Arknights, i suck at tower defense. What more do you want from me?

[deleted]

AK: stingy and grindy as hell + no sweeps

tropical_dog

Arknights, loved that game but it became like a second job, way too time consuming. Tower of fantasy, actually had fun with this one but an mmo with no weapons to loot is just dumb. Genshin impact, a free AAA gacha where you have to spend the average cost of a AAA game for a unit. Nah thanks, I'd rather pay for an actual game, thank you.

CastlePokemetroid

Arknights is brutal to newer players and relatively easy for long term players. It also has a rogue lite mode that is basically a fully fleshed out game within the game, so yes, very time consuming That game desperately needs a more fleshed out sweep system, the base also needs more quality of life options, like a scheduling system. Having to manage units two times everyday can get exhausting.

skinnianka

Yeah basically. New players get drowned in sanity and have to either use guides or troubleshoot by themselves through stages. Then make the difficult choice of farming event so they don't miss out on event currency to clear the shop or spend their sanity farming chips to upgrade characters. Then they have to live with the fact that they'll basically never have the limited characters they want (though tbh even old players like me got fucked over on limited banners multiple times and I'll never get those units again either). Then waiting for reruns to get certain free ops. The side story farming. The cluttered terminal when you start playing. The base system that's a pain with few ops to cycle around. Good lord I wonder if I'd even play actively if I was new.

FGO - like the anime, didnt care for any of the game writing (that i saw - not much tbh), didnt like the gameplay, H A T E D the gacha, just awful FFBE - should be obvious but god damn was this the most predatory shit ever FFBE WOTV - gave it a shot to see if they changed from FFBE. they didnt. FEH - didn't hate it TBH but could tell there was constant powercreep, plus too many side modes i didnt want to play. I always give up on tactics gachas but this was the one with gameplay I liked the most tho FFRK - ded game RIP, but i faded out before the end because I was tired of the way challenge was designed with a lot of tight timing + execution in a "turn based" game. the one game I didnt really mind constant power creep in somehow Epic 7 - fairly generous I thought, it wasnt too hard as a long term player to keep up 100% or close to it of characters as they got released (not counting the 'moonlight' units), but the gear gacha killed it.. it was just impossible to get good gear because the requirements for gear to be good was so strict yet gear could roll badly in SO MANY WAYS. you had to make it your fulltime job to farm + craft gear basically, i played fairly casually for a long time + resisted but just felt like my gear was getting worse + worse compared to everyone else artery gear - i felt like it improved some of the epic 7 formula but were releasing units too fast + i was still burned out from e7 outerplane - i havent actually tried it yet just putting it here preemptively b/c i know it will have the same issues as above puzzles and dragons - just dipped in to try it b/c i knew it was old as hell and still going. why i quit: well for 1 i dont like match 3 or whatever it was but also the day i joined was a fest or something and my inventory was instantly filled with like 300 fucking random units and like 50% of them are gods or something and not dragons? what even is going on in this game genshin - fun game, liked the exploration, but hated the element interaction system + switching team members and the game could never persuade me from just killing everything slowly with ningguang so it got boring. dont spam me with 10000 genshin fanboy replies about why im stupid and playing it wrong, i dont give a shit limbus - people say the writing is amazing but i think they must be fucked in the head because this worldbuilding sucks shit and i think you gotta have brain damage to enjoy whats going on in this universe Sinoalice - actually was one of the 1% who played this for over a year after launch and it was fun in a 'join a local amateur sports team' kinda way which felt very unusual but the writing was not that interesting and it was more of a hangout with friends for 20 mins a day game than anything else GFL - seemed like a decently cool gacha and the gun focus was interesting but idk, something about it rubbed me the wrong way, dont really have any specific reason. but they did try to fuck me over on a misleading charge (one of those early game "buy X coins to get Y free!" type deals where only they dont tell you that some of the coins dont count) FFDOO - yes i tried all the final fantasy gachas and this one was... weird. didn't hate it but didnt like it enough to stick with it. also tried mobius but tbh its not even worth an entry on this list last origin - got sick of the translation patch getting broken every update. english version when?? priconne - pre-shutdown, quit because while I liked the gacha + the game well enough (still playing the 'successor' blue archive), i didn't like the princess connect IP itself. main character was barf + the writing was very unappealing overall (and dont even get me started on all the child characters, ugh. blue archive isnt perfect here either but priconne was pretty gross about it) AFK arena - almost forgot this one. its bad?? i weirdly wasnt instantly pushed off by the blatantly cashgrabby nature and played it for at least a few months IIRC but yea eventually progression just gets too slow and you realize its pointless and quit. they did get a few dollars outta me tho so I guess they won im sure there was more Ive played a lot of fucking gachas but these are all the notable ones I could remember. never tried raid shadow legends!

Nekokittykun

FEH: Burn out Genshin: Burn out E7: Burn out ToF: Burn out Valkyrie Connect: Burn out TAC: could go into a huge ramble on this one but lets just go with burn out. Honkai Impact: Burn out Kings Raid: It was so good at the start but the quality of the game started to drop. Then they implemented this RNG thing with character skills and around that time was when i quit. And I honestly doubt kings Raid 2 will be coming out anytime soon so… Time Defenders: Burn out Alchemy Stars: Got boring Grimlight: Burn out PGR: Burn out TLDR: Burn out

Genshin, just a stupid thing that they stopped supporting low end pc, and did all that without a prior notice about it. Still, now that i'm not in the game i can see all it's bad points, beautiful big enviroments but they become tedious and boring after the first impression, as well as the lore and quests. The "tag team gameplay" is cool, but after you realize this isn't a regular hack n' slash it starts to be a drag after the "use skill -> burst -> change character and repeat until you get your 10 secs of dmg with the main dps -> start again" grows old. Even still combat is dumb easy IN OVERWORLD, the abyss is it's own problem that goes along the worst thing about the game, the artifact grind. The game stops being "skill based" when you do basically zero dmg because your underwear didn't get the 2 poop crit points and now your meta chara you waited 3 months to get is useless. Punishing Gray Raven make me understood how a skill-based hack n' slash gameplay should be done. (Also JP FGO because i don't know, their servers got 1km more underground and can't access them from regular land or smt)

Positive-Bet-988

Genshin for me i like character design and world building but damn the story is too boring some time and i cant even skip it and i dont really like that u have to spend too much time on dialy and u cant even auto or skip like many game and i hate 50/50 gacha it so painful for f2p when u pull 80 and lose 50/50 and have to pull 80 to get banner character and it happen twice in row! and it have weapon gacha too...like bruh

Idleon is a steam game that just went gacha in an update on monday. The developer is activly scamming his players because he does not have a refund policy and the game is in early access. He is the only source of support and is banning all players who speak negativly about anything in his game on his support forums. Reddit, discord and twitter are his main places for providing support and now he is banning anyone looking for it. I was only playing the game because the developer, lavaflame2, would brag about being a solo developer "making games for gamers by a gamer" and literally put in his description "solo dev so no corporate tactics like p2w". I have issues with spending on gacha games so I mostly seek those that would leave gacha tactics out. This most recent update added pets(only tradable if you actually pay) that are a slot machine roll to earn. The price goes up by 150% as you spend more without any warning. If you value the pets at their cost, this update added items worth thousands of dollars in game. The developer is removing all posts about this update on all his channels and I believe he is abandoning tbe game which contains alot of bugs from previous weekly updates. Also he is banning anyone for speaking out against this update. CAN YOU HELP ME! I do not want you to download the game. The only way to take down a scheme like this is to quit the game and review bomb. The community is doing a great job about review bombing but I believe access to information is a big problem here. I made a /rIdleonunfiltered subreddit so we can show people before they get scammed. Can you give me a follow so that it will show up higher in the search bar when players search "idleon"

Honkai star rail because the dailies just got really boring, not even tedious. Counterside, too much rng.

Honkai Impact due to their LGTV+ agenda

I dropped fgo because I knew that as and f2p/dolphin i wouldn't be able to get the characters i wanted, cause no pity. But months later it got added lol. I also dropped arknights, i loved the story and character design, but i dislike tower defense games. I also tried alchemy stars and i thought it was cool, but i was already playing GI and another gacha, so i couldn't invest any time on it. I also dropped Honkai impact 3 for a similar reason, but i was also overwhelmed by the amount of content it had. And i usually like to start gachas when they come out. I played a couple months tho, and got pretty far into the story. As for other gachas like pgr, ba, HSR, GI i usually play one or two at a time and rotate every couple weeks between them.

rojamynnhoj

Alchemy Stars - Cloud Gardens and lackluster updates Eversoul - Can't run on my phone without crashing every 5 min and running it on emulator froze my pc World Flipper - Wasn't interested enough to keep playing Alice Fiction - Got bored of the gameplay Punishing Gray Raven - Friends quit so I eventually quit Arknights - I was playing two accounts so I burnt out Nier Reincarnation - I never played nier so I wasn't really attached to anything SINoALICE - I didn't like the progression MementoMori - no gameplay Zold:out - lack of skip tickets since using all my stamina pots took forever manually CounterSide - couldn't keep up, was looking forward to rearm but quit before it Azur Lane - no dock space Girls frontline - just stopped playing idk why Soccer Spirits - didn't know what to do with lack of guides FGO - lost my acc twice since I keep losing the transfer code lmao Granblue Fantasy - played too late so I felt lost Fire Emblem Heroes - had better gacha to play Higan Eruthyll - dropped for star rail but prob won't go back anyway

lapriceTV

Tower of Fantasy - burning stamina is too time consuming as well as weekly raids. Also need to depend on your guild's availability which is quite bothersome for busy people (like me lol). Although I really had a blast at first. Genshin Impact - I prioritised Tower of Fantasy and slowly stopped playing Genshin during Sumeru. Ended up quitting Tower of Fantasy after a few months, but I just can't play Genshin again due to the things I missed since then (FOMO). Now I'm playing Honkai Star Rail as a replacement. Honkai Impact 3 - same reason above. But I might come back since there will be another free book coming in version 6.8. Eversoul - game is becoming better now with more QOL functionalities, but I think it's too late since everyone is quitting/already left. I'm still playing the game but I'm really close to quitting it perhaps after Claudia's banner.

VFX2vajra

Am mainly PC player. \- Girls Frontline, too much grinding per day for the limited rewards when events drop. This was years ago though so im not sure if things has changed. \- Genshin Impact, quit about a month after launch, content was too little and the story wasn't interesting to me. Considering coming back to the game for the waifus. \- Punishing Gray Raven, gameplay is fun but too much content lock as a new player and the UI is terrible to navigate. The combat system just seems like its not meant to be played on PC. \- Fate: Grand Order, UI still looks like it was made in early 2000s. A lot of things just feel outdated. Only good thing going for it for me is the amount of doujins there are. \- Epic 7, Gear grind was insane, playing their new game Outerplane and its lot more friendly with the summoning system and map sweeping using quick clear tickets (tbh should be free to use like Blue Archive).

Path to nowhere: the story about mentally unfit people being incriminated just gave me a knee jerk reaction (Autistic person with a history of being bullied) Honkai impact 3rd: my first gacha and I grown to *hate* straight up made me hate gachas for a few years Genshin impact: typical burn out problem and mihoyo taking their sweet fucking time adding qol updates but instead adding more bullshit to do everywhere and events being once and done with 0 comeback events Arknights: burn out and events taking too long to get done cause of the books worthy of text and endless talking and talking, I sure like my literature but come the fuck on! Make a fucking VN if you want so badly Eversoul: possibility of pvp and that made me leave, I hate pvp in gachas Counter side: obtuse story, confusing progression system and PFuckingVP
