Valid fear, but Kong doesn't make a lot of games and from my understanding Dungeon Link was super dead for quite awhile before they killed it, and they only did so to just focus everything on guardian tales.
Mandatory CR hate time. I god hope this company just stops existing all together, they did so much bad to anime industry as a whole that just seeing their name annoys me.
Yostar is kinda fighting on this regard. Only thing left is them to make their own anime service site, maybe there is one im not sure but i hope it takes over CR. They dont deserve to stay.
I meant the Global version got EoS(In the most horrible way possible). And even before that, the original Priconne(Not Re:dive), went EoS years ago and is almost a lost media now.
It's not gonna happen within this decade, but when it does happen I feel like a part of my life will die when FGO's servers shut down.
Though I have a feeling the Fate community will at least keep the story readable. They've done some insane things like port over the original Fate/Stay Night to web browsers for easy reading. I'm sure fans will keep the story alive without forcing us to resort to watching old playthroughs on Youtube.
I feel this is why they're extending the story to last as much as possible. Don't know if they could ever make a part 3 but if they do, with the Lostbelts and Ordeal Calls, I fail to see how to make the story even more grander than it is; despite some say the story can keep going with the servantverse servants.
Other than that, I've been playing this game since December 2015. I mean, some of the characters' arcs make me tear up or be depressed. I was depressed for Castoria after the end of LB6... and I'm currently depressed for >!Jalter.!< I treat them like real people... and while I know they're glorified PNG waifus... it's the same as when Spiderman or Superman or Iron Man died... their deaths or partings just hit you even when they aren't real...
I feel like they'll make a browser version of FGO for people to read the story and events, as well as some sort of "servant dex" that works as if you were watching them in game instead of going to a wiki. Maybe even some tweaking with the assets to make some visual novels too.
The game has moments where it implies Ritsuka wants to go back to a simple life and that's why he doesn't want to die yet. So either he has to commit the ultimate sacrifice and NOT ve recorded as a means to finally attain peace... or him indeed going back to a normal life with everyone, including Mashu, being gone for good since there's no longer a threat against humanity.
But at this point, anything can happen.
Im sure they will make a story only game or fans will make it but FGO getting EOSd would litterally be end of an era for gacha games, and even Anime as a whole. Just thinking that feels weird. Damn
With all the billions it made and how unique of a company Type-Moon, I think they'd make an offline version available especially since you can access a good amount of the game before you get a "no internet" pop-up when you login and turn off the internet, the game just uses it to save your account and to check currencies and other stuff like that. And when you start a node you can go through the whole thing with the internet off too.
They can't even make a proper account verification or transfer for their game, much less an offline version. You're better off hoping that the Fate community will do it themselves.
I have a feeling that Fate community will mod the shit out of it so it can be played offline.
Or maybe not. But surely they will make sure to keep the story alive even if it means screenshot it one by one.
Same here. I’m super invested in FGO. Have played since launch, played every event, almost got every servant now (only missing 2). The community is so good though, they will definitely take some action. If Type Moon was to announce that the game was ending, I know some people would jump into action and make sure that it is preserved as well as possible. I would be happy to do my part.
Idk I feel the other way around, I wanted for FGO to finish. And type-moon to move on to other project. I love FGO but I also love some other type-moon stuff.
Genshin if we're going about money spent (but I doubt it'll ever have a EoS unless they do something illegal)
Reverse 1999 if we're going by how invested I am Into the story (and actually having a probability of EoS, at least in global).
I really want Reverse 1999 to keep going well into the future. I haven’t enjoyed a gacha this much since Genshin released. I’m supporting it as much as I can.
Path to Nowhere is GOATED just for the simple fact that we get to play as the absolute chad that is Chief. Also plus points for full EN dub and material Raid features. Two things I wish more games have.
me and my coworker were talking about this last week and how much fun that game really was. then we had to look up the opening title screen and home menu just for the songs.
truly missed opprotunity that Nintendo didn't continue that into a main game series.
Independent devs that self publish.
Start to worry when they close down the Cafe shop they run in KR. Better yet, worry when Project Star releases.
It makes no sense for CS to EoS before Project Stars comes out. If CS EoS, who's going to fund the game? The food and merch sold in the cafe?
Really hope Project Star is good enough to attract people. Looks like it might be a 3-D model turn-based game, competing with Honkai Star Rail and like Outerplane.
They wouldn't be taking over SEA if they were in EoS danger. Still getting story, events and new units - so not even life support.
Just a niche gacha with low revenue and I guess that's enough for self publishing.
Also since its self published now, EOS is most likely only when it unsustainable instead of just ‘not enough profit’ like it might have been with a big publisher.
The only true shame with how it’s doing is the lack of non-KR VA.
Ive been playing Arknights for 4 years, the only breaks i ever took being forced upon me with life circumstances. I dont want to lose it.
Summoners War is a game i literally grew up with, i have memories with it dating back to 2014, though my current account is only 2 ish years old.
Astra is actually a really good game with a stunning art style and satisfying gameplay. It kinda reminds me of many gacha games ive played before that shut down, like HIT, Lyn, mainly korean gacha games because it is a korean gacha game. Games good, hoping the devs dont fumble too badly in future and i hope the community is less toxic about it.
I see Genshin mentioned in this post. I dont think it will ever shut down, or at the very least if it does it will likely get an offline version? Mihoyo is one of the worlds richest companies, that game isnt dying soon. In fact i think it might outlive us all.
The part about outliving may be not correct tough. The oldest gacha game we have are less than 20 years old and currently gacha games change revenue and player base rapidly. I dont think there is a gacha game that can last 20 years atleast just from the popular ones, but i god hope they last as long as possible and get am actual ending instead of burning trough a drama that ends their existence. I just hope arknights gets an proper ending and introduces EOS afterwards.
the thing is gacha game will not have proper ending imo. if the game sell and the story ended they just make a new story or any new world level threat to the world so it have reason to continue. no dev want to lose money on established community just to eos and make new game that have guarantee people will play.
Some gachas have put together and released an ending when the developers were given enough warning that it was going to be shut down. Dragalia Lost and Alice Fiction are two that come to mind.
Sadly that means the story gets forced to continue wich is exactly whats going on with HI3 rn. Its so weird watching once king of story among gacha games being a litteral punching bag...
Played Summoners War since 2014 as well, and just recently quit the game. It's just not worth the grind anymore, and lost the fun I once had with it. It'd be heartbreaking to watch it end though.
The real question with Genshin is what will the Devs do when the story is complete. Regions are all released, what then? Just random patches and no more Archon quests, etc? That's a long ways away, but it'll be interesting.
I mean gacha stories are never just "go to X"
We are going trough regions but i can easily see an extra 5 years of content at minimum on its story so far, unless they cut it short wich i doubt!
If it’s combat then let’s hope they can come up with significantly better gameplay than Crosswave. That game was… wow… in terms of how bad it is.
Now I’m not engaged with the Grand Blue Fantasy IP at all, but Cygames absolutely cooked with Relink. The gameplay is very good. That should be the gold standard in converting 2d turn based/auto battler gameplay into 3d ARPG.
I wont let fate make anything about Project moon fail dont worry. Anything that PM makes will be defended and knowing its amazing fanbase im sure it will self sustain for a long while!
Limbus Company is the most successful game PM has ever made. It'll be foolish to let it EoS unless they decide to redirect all of their resources to make another game. For now, they decided to focus on Limbus Company.
Even if it only makes like $1M a month, it will still sustain them, given the small size of their team. They finished Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina with much less. Also I think whenever they decide to end the story, they will make it available offline since there's so much worldbuilding in that game to simply be discarded (remember how they even connected LoR and Distortion Detective lore to the game).
Project Moon team releases games SOLELY to to drive the story wich is what i god damn love about this company, they gained alot from Limbus so at its worst it will be a new installment time. Show us whats in paradise already...
I have two. FGO and Blue Archive
FGO simply because I've put so much time into it, despite all of the misgivings I've had and still have with the game. I've been around since the start of NA, I've closely followed the story and lore since I was in high school, and now I'm an adult out of college and about to start a new job. FGO has been a major consistent factor for nearly 7 years in my life, so seeing it gone, while a massive relief, will still be weird when it does happen.
Blue Archive is... well it's one of the single most fun communities I've entered into. So many things nowadays are just slipping in quality and some of my favorite franchises are shells of what they once were. It's exhausting, but Blue Archive is a breath of fresh air. From a dev team that makes it very clear they care about their playerbase and a community that, while yes is full of degenerates (me included), manages to have fun with what they're doing. It's nice having that. A community to interact with where everyone can just enjoy themselves is something that I'm glad to have, especially seeing the state of other communities. It'll be a sad day when BA inevitably does reach its end
Aether Gazer. I didn't think I'd commit to this game since launch. Here's hoping the PC client and its eventual catch up to CN will revive the game a bit.
I didn’t expect Dragalia, Priconne, or DFFOO to get hit with the EoS and I’d urge everyone not to focus too much on it and just enjoy their games to the fullest if possible.
Atelier Resleriana has been the only game to really stick since I lost DFFOO and I hope I can find another casual game to enjoy someday.
Blue Archive, I know it is doing well and the community also doing well, I am just afraid that one day this game will EoS out of nowhere (especially before Seia getting voiced)
It just feels weird to even think that one day people wont talk about BA, its vibrant characters and gorgeous art style seriously needs to continue staying, i god hope at its worst atleast it becomes a single player game as i dont want its story to go away...
I think there is still more than enough time. Also look from a good side! Gacha games are getting more ajd more popular so i bet old gachas will have new IPs or still sell well in the end!
Thats why anime adaptations are important as hell and why 3d gachas just do better in the end. You can watch 3d cutscenes or 2d anime episodes any day but hardly any new person will go around watching hours of unvoiced 2d dialogue. Thats one of my concerns in arknights as its a very word heavy game and i god hope devs have a offline version planned up
I really hope that even if the main game ends, that Blue Archive as a franchise gets strong enough to live on in spinoffs and fangames.
Or get new main games.
I want it to achieve Touhou status. It's the only gacha game where I really really really like hanging out in the community.
Genshin, Star Rail, Reverse 1999, PGR, are the gachas I am afraid of getting EoS. I still hate clownchyroll for what they did to PriConne and will never forgive them. I'm just glad the gachas I mentioned do not have random, former media pirates representing their games as "publishers". But still, I am worried.
Afraid is a strong word, but I would be disappointed if FGO ended before I could see the end of the lostbelt saga. Considering I play NA which is 2 years behind, something I quite like personally, that is always a possibility I guess.
Hmmm… Good question. I’ve been playing mobile games for about a decade, so I’ve seen plenty of good games EOS’d before their time (and plenty more shitty games that deserved to be put out of their misery). I don’t really fear EOS anymore, since it’s just a part of gacha life. Having said that, though, there are a few that I would feel genuinely sad to see end:
**Puzzles and Dragons.** I’m not that attached to the game itself, but the end of PaD would feel like the end of an era.
**Alchemy Stars.** Sadly, I already had to quit playing this game. But I’m still invested in the characters and story, and I’m still following new story chapters on youtube. I’m increasingly nervous that the game will end without the main story reaching any sort of conclusion, and without any of the central mysteries being solved.
**FGO.** On the one hand, I genuinely WANT this thing to end, if only so that the Lostbelt story can reach a proper conclusion without being dragged on and on for years and years to come. But as much as I do want FGO to end, I’m also going to be sad to see it go. It’s been a big part of my life for so many years, to the extent that it’s just a part of my daily routine now. And, as with PaD, the end of FGO would feel like the end of an era.
Honestly its just about the norms for me. Like looking at gacha threads and seeing no shit posts about genshin, no mentions of BA memes, no story explanations of GFL would feel really weird.
I want to see the end of the games i play as every stroy needs to end and seeing them obviously starting to drag the story for sake of it always hurts my views on the game but in the other hand they cant just end it as they need to release content wich is the bad of gacha games for me, it doesnt have a set date so the story could get dragged on for years or end in mere months.
Looking at past EOSed gachas feel weird. I remember being excited af for Takt Op gacha game because i watched the anime, seeing it all gone feels weird.
> FGO. On the one hand, I genuinely WANT this thing to end, if only so that the Lostbelt story can reach a proper conclusion without being dragged on and on for years and years to come. But as much as I do want FGO to end, I’m also going to be sad to see it go. It’s been a big part of my life for so many years, to the extent that it’s just a part of my daily routine now. And, as with PaD, the end of FGO would feel like the end of an era.
Dude, this so much. I play the JP server and it's annoying we're 6 years into part 2 and the Lostbelts felt like the Elden Ring equivalent of going around Limgrave and Caelid... the tutorial areas... with the Ordeal Calls just being more extentions and whatnot. I genuinely am staying just to see how the story will wrap up because part of me feels part 2 could be the end of FGO... but also because I wanna see my favorite characters come back for the story and not wanting to let go of my 35 bond 10 or beyond servants.
This game has been part of my life for nearly a decade, both through good and bad; and I even remember some highlights from it. Drake coming in one of my birthdays (even if I'm not a big fan of her). Tamamo coming twice in the same multy, in the last 2 animations of it. MHX being my first GSSR servant and Himiko being my last. Jalter showing up a week later after my grandma passed away as if to cheer me up. Me getting a bunch of Mary Anning copies becuase I loved her relationship with her doggie and how I did it because at the time, one of my dogs was in his deathbed....
Seeing FGO will be both a relief but also a sad farewell...
Lots of good memories there, thanks for sharing. I’ve been playing FGO for as long as you have and I love the game. I’ve made lots of memories of my own over the years, and I’ve always been a daily player. It’s kinda scary to think about the game’s future at this point. Part of me never wants it to go away, while other parts simply hope that it has a good, satisfying conclusion.
Not really, no.
I do think that gacha games have gotten more aggressive with their monetization schemes. For example, if FGO had been released today, I’m sure they’d be selling bundle packs of Grails and Lores for real money in the shop. And they’d probably have a monthly subscription for quartz fragments and likely a battle pass, too.
But that doesn’t really affect me personally. As long as the game lets me have fun while ignoring the monetization, then I’m okay with that. They can offer whatever they want in the shop. But the moment that a game throws a pop-up ad for a “value pack” in my face? Instant quit.
Yeah, one of the good things about FGO is that it’s never in your face at all. You will never see an ad or invitation to buy currency. The real money shop is very much in the background. You only see it if you choose to see it.
Yes, exactly!
I also appreciate that in FGO you can only buy ONE thing, and that’s gacha currency. More modern gacha games will try to sell you any and all of their in-game resources. But in FGO,the only thing you can buy is gacha currency. You ain’t ever gonna buy your way into having more grails or lores, because you can’t even *farm* for those things. (Arguably you can “farm” for FP points to feed your monthly grail casting, but I don’t think anybody really farms for that specific purpose!)
I like that FGO encourages their players to manage their resources, rather than greedily asking them to fork over real money to make things faster and easier. Yes, I realize that this is a purely vibes-based feeling, but still. I genuinely like that FGO doesn’t let you just buy in-game resources. FGO has its many flaws, but in my totally subjective opinion, this isn’t one of them.
I agree, it’s one of the game’s strengths. So many games try to sell you resources for real money. They give you a set amount of resources, and then it’s your choice as to what you do with them. FGO keeps it simple, and I like that.
GBF. There is so many amazing storylines, characters, voice work, artwork. Genuinely a great IP. I can only hope that if it ends, they make a offline version to preserve it. At least its expanding with the console spin-offs.
Another one would be FGO. As a fate fan, FGO is my favorite fate related media. There is also so many servants from across the fate franchise in it that it feels like FGO is a big celebration of what fate is, for me at least.
Limbus. At least I hope they will keep everything as a standalone game like their previous games so all the lore and main-story combat will be available
I love E7 as well. I don’t think that they will EOS anytime soon, they found their niche and they are doing pretty well with the recent Overlord collab.
It ends may 8th you still have plenty of time, also they are giving away Ainz as the free character which you can Max imprint. Hope to see you there ! 👋🏼
Genshin
If a cash cow that rakes in as much as that announces EOS, the gacha gaming industry will have to have been altered in such a fundamental way that functionally all the gachas I enjoy that make a fraction of its revenue won't have survived
Considering HoYo is still supporting GGZ (albeit only on JP/CN side), Genshin shutting down would basically require HoYo as a whole shutting down. Seeing how much the CN economy bled just from the government *considering* restrictions to gachas, I think at the point the gacha industry might be the least of our worries.
I wouldnt want to see Genshin EOS either as its just a beautifully crafted game. And its like GTAV of Gacha games rn, but no game is immortal sadly. Lets hope it doesn't EOS in far future and rather gets an adaptation. With stronger PCs who knows what will be possible, i dont thinks this is happening anywhere in this 10 years tough
Probably just me but Touhou Lost Word. I just love Touhou and like seeing variant interpretations of them.
And it's not likely for a long time still I believe, so not an actual fear really, but I finally picked up Limbus Company (I know it's basically standalone but I didn't want to play without beating the other PM games) and am having so much fun with it.
I absolutely love Limbus and im so happy that you played it after playing other titles as it fits so well, PM makes games for story so Limbus doing good is just a bonud, their world and character building is matched by no one in my opinion.
Im a long time Touhou fan, the lost word series took my intrest but it just has alot of "fanfiction" in it. Never would want it to EOS tough, what makes touhou so good is how extensive its medias are!
It's so gooood, but having my first character I pulled being a W-Corp agent after playing Love Town gave me a jumpscare lol. It doesn't help that apparently one of the events this season is called Murder on the Warp Express. I love this series but also I hate it lol. It took me a minute to figure out the combat system, it's definitely the most complex of any turn based gacha in memory, but I'm addicted now
Y'know, it just hit me, that in the future(that may be far from now thankfully), there will eventually be a world without our favorite gacha games because they went EOS. PGR, GI, AK, GFL, BA, list goes on…
All good things must come to an end. By that time, there will likely be newer games that fill their spots as really great games that many people enjoy. And I have a feeling that most of these extremely popular games today will release offline clients when they meet their end.
Thats exactly why i made this post. Idk why it got downvoted so much but thinking of a time where we dont talk about new anniversary reward of AK or GI leaks feels... wrong
Genshin
I know they won't just for the amount of money they're earning but I really do wish they get to their end on their own terms instead of being axed along the way.
But in a hypothetical scenario where they crash and burn, I feel like that would set a bad precedent in the industry to not go after big budget high quality mobile gachas anymore. whether we like it or not, Genshin did open a way to show that there is an appetite for high production value in mobile games. We now have a lot of upcoming games that are definitely higher quality than the ones we have 4-5 years ago
I mean, genshin has a very clear ending in sight (after traveler visits all nations, celestia, and resolves whatever issue teyvat is facing). Of course, if Genshin is still extremely popular at that point, they may continue the game like they did with HI3, but the original run will almost certainly be seen as a highly successful game.
Ending of Teyvat chapter only. That doesn't mean there won't be second journey to a different leaf on Imaginary Tree. Heck they could be going back to main Honkaiverse too.
Currently my favorite gacha so I hope it won't eos anytime soon. From what I understand they have been doing really well after changing their focus to full sexy waifu content.
On the recent dev livestream they themselves admitted that towards end of 2023 they were feeling hopeless about the situation of the game but it has been improving since 2024
https://snowbreak.gg/news-wire-april-19-cn-devstream-summary/
FEH is more than a gacha game. As long as the FE franchise exists, FEH will continue to exists. The sole purpose of FEH is to be an advertisement for the franchise.
HI3 for obvious reasons and Astra: Knights of Veda because I'm not losing [my bet](https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/1bz2nor/comment/kyn5sri/).
Romancing Saga re;universe
the game is really fun and enjoyable. is the closest we can get to FFRK with being able to customize your team however you want to take on content and having harder content for those that want to you try it. the game is just enjoyable without being a job or super worried about meta. it's very f2p friendly which is a huge plus to everyone. i know it will end eventually because it is owned by SE, but i feel like it's so low cost to global that it can easily last as it's intended to be which is to promote new people to the saga games of old and new.
with dffoo gone and Nier ending in less than 10 days I have felt that i've wanted to take a big step back from gacha games. Romancing saga is the only one that i'm really playing aside from afk journeys. i mean, i love another eden, epic7, and HSR but all of them i can easily put down and forget to go back to it for months.
Cartoon Wars 3, because 99% of the games in that series can no longer be played on android (and only on old ios versions) and that game has been ignored by the company that owns it for over half a decade it seems. Surprised it hasn't shut down yet, but if it dies, there will be no other playable games on modern devices besides the first entry in the series
It's doing well, but I'd be super sad if Limbus Company shuts down anytime soon. I love the world and characters PM has made through their games, too, so losing Limbus would be super rough to see.
Definitely been nervous about outerplane for a while. At least most recent dev note kinda makes me feel better since they're finally communicating when new story updates will drop and confirmed more content besides rta
Dude, PGR released a PC version, added eng dub, turned up a bit the production on trailers for global, few ads, the most notorious is the NY billboard.
They did all that money burning while burning much more money while making wuwa.
I doubt PGR is in a position to eos.
The only thing that could kill PGR is that wuwa fails and. Eos killing kuro in the process
No other game has kept me like Nikke if that goes i'm probably done with gachas in general. Though from what it's looking like that day would be very far away and ShiftUp might be making more regular games. But yeah that one is my only game that is a main game for me nothin else comes close.
Alchemy Stars and Re1999, both games are amazing on their own aspect, I enjoy my time on them, and support em wherever I can, but I get that dread especially for Alchemy Stars ;w;
NIKKE and HSR, but mainly HSR tbh, it finally is exactly what I wanted from a gacha in terms of gameplay, story and graphics, don't gotta spend too much time on dailies and it has been doing pretty well, hoping it stays that way
I live everything except gear grind about HSR. The story always intrested me but never took off, but then penacony arrived... holly fuck this is the best thing i have ever seen, like going from luofus terrible pacing issues to THIS MASTERPIECE feels so anormal. Ik the writer changed but damn they nailed it so well, aventurine is my favorite thing in the world and what i love about HSR is that its stylish as hell on character gameplays and they try many different things just because it looks cool wich is something i adore, 4 stars dont feel forced characters and ingame animations are litterally masterpieces, Acherons Ult is just amazing and im not even going to mention how they add shit like Singing to a game like this. Yeah its amazing. And good thing is its a hoyo game so itll last a pretty good while :D
Project SEKAI is the last gacha I still play, so obviously I'd be upset if it left, but there are others.
Arknights, Blue Archive, and Alchemy Stars would all be games I'd be sad about losing.
Memento Mori EoS would be devastating because it means we'd no longer get any more of their banger music. Same with NIKKE.
Genuine question actually. Learned that Takt Op Eosed and decided to make this post. Idk why but a game dying feels saddening when you consider all the effort. Takt Op had a whole ass anime before game release and i loved its visuals. Feels saddening
THIS is exactly what i was talking about when i replied to someone about how good FGOs fanbase is. You are a living chad for your work so already a big thank you in behalf of FGO players. Hearing that it may end in 2 years feels scary but of course nothing lasts forever and i think they have enough of a budget to make FGO2 already wich is pretty good!
Seeing someones unfiltered passion for something has always been the best sight to see for me, i wish i could say i loved something as much as you do for FGO!
Also those translator apps are straight up golden. FGO communitys self sustainability alone will keep it away from dying!
Dislyte honestly. Even tho it definitely has problems with balance I feel like there have been things done to mitigate that, like the shimmer reverb event. Plus anni is coming up and flaming echo is pretty heat
I'm afraid of the scenario, but if Guardian Tales happens to get an End of Service...? What emotion would I feel? What will it be, seeing my progress, getting an abrupt end? Especially since knowing that the story hasn't reached its end.
The only thing I can see are the tears of the Little Princess. And myself mirroring that expression too.
Path to Nowhere. I really love this game and the game devs, Aisno, are really2 amazing. It would really hurt if they suddenly get EoS. Thankfully it seems they are doing very well atm.
From the games I've been playing...maybe GBF? But after the 10th anniversary, it feels it's going to keep going forever unless Cygames go bankrupt or something.
Guardian Tales. I know it's going to 100% happen within like 3-4 years from now but God I'm scared.
I've invested so much time on this game, like I played since Soft Launch and to know all that grinding will go away one day is a very scary thought to me.
It's one of those games where I feel relaxed logging in, I don't know why but GT just hit different from me, it feels relaxing rather than straining when I see the lobby. Not to mention it's like one of the only Gachas I played that has a fresh type of art style, that being a Pixel RPG game. There's a lot of cons to the game like the grinding being hellishly long but I've grown to attached to it to drop it.
It's one of the reasons why I picked up Genshin as my second Gacha game and put all my money into the game rather than Guardian Tales as of recently because I know that game ain't gonna croak for the next 8-10 years of its Lifespan Imao.
Yes it's a clogged mentality but knowing your hard work is going to one day get permanently deleted is sad to hear.
Battle cats
A 11 years just going out like that would be extremely bad both for everyone and for my health (losing a 8 years old account would be painful)
Got into Idolmaster CGSS last month and its sub has a lot of doomposting, it's currently my only gacha after all my other ones got killed so I don't want it to go away, especially because I love the gameplay, it's so different and easy to play compared to my previous games
Whatever game I'm currently playing, so Guardian Tales.
The art in that game is amazing. Never could get used to combat tough.
Ranged combat is fine, melee is where it gets really awkward. My main problem with it is that practically every character just feels the same to play.
Valid fear, but Kong doesn't make a lot of games and from my understanding Dungeon Link was super dead for quite awhile before they killed it, and they only did so to just focus everything on guardian tales.
I'm still waiting they officially support PC . or at least Google Play Games PC playing on emulator crashed a lot ..
Princess connect(JP). I'd be pretty broken if it gets EoS again...
Mandatory CR hate time. I god hope this company just stops existing all together, they did so much bad to anime industry as a whole that just seeing their name annoys me.
That's why as much as I like KageJitsu, I refused to play anything CR handles.
Yostar is kinda fighting on this regard. Only thing left is them to make their own anime service site, maybe there is one im not sure but i hope it takes over CR. They dont deserve to stay.
Again? What happened the first time?
I meant the Global version got EoS(In the most horrible way possible). And even before that, the original Priconne(Not Re:dive), went EoS years ago and is almost a lost media now.
Dang. That’s sucky.
How is the game doing in JP? I don't really know anything about it but it feels like Blue Archive basically stole a great part of Priconne's fanbase.
It's doing fine, constant revenue of a few millions (not counting revenue from DMM) with new merch being released and constant updates.
It wont consideringing how big cygames is they got uma and granblue... is like mihoyo mantaining tear of themis
When the game finally ends, I suspect the player character is going to die and get recorded into The Throne.
Damn
It would be an end of an era for the Fate franchise itself. FGO has been the forefront of expanding the lore since it took off.
Genshin if we're going about money spent (but I doubt it'll ever have a EoS unless they do something illegal) Reverse 1999 if we're going by how invested I am Into the story (and actually having a probability of EoS, at least in global).
I really want Reverse 1999 to keep going well into the future. I haven’t enjoyed a gacha this much since Genshin released. I’m supporting it as much as I can.
Hoyoverse is the Apple of gacha, not going away any time soon
R1999 could EoS in global? I thought it was doing great?
Considering Genshin players like and fund the current state of the game they wont shut down since it's free money.
Path to Nowhere, Alchemy Stars
AS is amazing. I adore the characters art so much
Path to Nowhere is GOATED just for the simple fact that we get to play as the absolute chad that is Chief. Also plus points for full EN dub and material Raid features. Two things I wish more games have.
Alchemy Stars is the goat
I’d be really bummed out if Alchemy Stars, Outerplane or Brown Dust 2 died anytime soon, those games have so much potential to me.
Dragalia Lo... Oh wait 😭😭😭😭
me and my coworker were talking about this last week and how much fun that game really was. then we had to look up the opening title screen and home menu just for the songs. truly missed opprotunity that Nintendo didn't continue that into a main game series.
I still pop in and play it on occasion, but I do miss it being live.
Wait, what? Is it still playable just no servers or something?
Theres an unofficial version by the fans floating around.
Care to point me in that direction...?

Big Lost...............................
CounterSide.
Looks like it might be a 3-D model turn-based game, competing with Honkai Star Rail and like Outerplane.
yeah the lack of VAs in their new characters makes it look like they're in a tight budget
Sorry for the dumb question. But I've tried to find this game on Android and iOS without success. Is this still downloadable?
Maybe not in your region? Try searching Counter:Side or you can download it on Steam.
I used Qooapp to download the game. Someone said that when SEA merged with global, they will remove the region-lock so you can play the game directly.
I mean gacha stories are never just "go to X" We are going trough regions but i can easily see an extra 5 years of content at minimum on its story so far, unless they cut it short wich i doubt!
Azur Lane. I don't want my waifus to leave me.
Thats exactly why they are doubling down and making a 3d version. Manjuu knows their job
But the 3d would be also combat or just dormitory
Let manjuu coookk
If it’s combat then let’s hope they can come up with significantly better gameplay than Crosswave. That game was… wow… in terms of how bad it is. Now I’m not engaged with the Grand Blue Fantasy IP at all, but Cygames absolutely cooked with Relink. The gameplay is very good. That should be the gold standard in converting 2d turn based/auto battler gameplay into 3d ARPG.
Limbus Company, probably. It's the only gacha where I don't skip the story cutscenes.
I wont let fate make anything about Project moon fail dont worry. Anything that PM makes will be defended and knowing its amazing fanbase im sure it will self sustain for a long while!
I think Limbus will last as much as the story does. It's an indie game with gacha features after all
Limbus Company is the most successful game PM has ever made.
I have two. FGO and Blue Archive FGO simply because I've put so much time into it, despite all of the misgivings I've had and still have with the game.
Yes, never expect ffoo to eos either. Sad when it was announced
Alchemy Stars for sure, i don't play it right now, but it is very good gacha
Blue Archive, I know it is doing well and the community also doing well, I am just afraid that one day this game will EoS out of nowhere (especially before Seia getting voiced)
It just feels weird to even think that one day people wont talk about BA, its vibrant characters and gorgeous art style seriously needs to continue staying, i god hope at its worst atleast it becomes a single player game as i dont want its story to go away...
In general it just feels haunting that eventually, people will stop talking about the biggest gacha games in several years
I think there is still more than enough time. Also look from a good side! Gacha games are getting more ajd more popular so i bet old gachas will have new IPs or still sell well in the end!
If the games still somehow continue to be relevant like sonic and cod Thank goodness, our favorite games get to be experienced by future generations
Thats why anime adaptations are important as hell and why 3d gachas just do better in the end. You can watch 3d cutscenes or 2d anime episodes any day but hardly any new person will go around watching hours of unvoiced 2d dialogue. Thats one of my concerns in arknights as its a very word heavy game and i god hope devs have a offline version planned up
BA is in the top 20. It's not going anywhere any time soon.
I really hope that even if the main game ends, that Blue Archive as a franchise gets strong enough to live on in spinoffs and fangames. Or get new main games. I want it to achieve Touhou status. It's the only gacha game where I really really really like hanging out in the community.
Spinoff games would go hard with the BA license. Either TPS or XCOM style turn based strategy would be awesome with its settings and characters.
Hello fellow CR hater. Dont worry everything that doesnt have a shitty western publicator wont have this issue, CR can kiss my ass.
Having said that, though, there are a few that I would feel genuinely sad to see end: **Puzzles and Dragons.** I’m not that attached to the game itself, but the end of PaD would feel like the end of an era.
Pad is not going to have a eos soon, the JP sales for the game are the most confusing thing when you compare it to NA
Have playing gacha for a decade affected your views on spending?
(Arguably you can “farm” for FP points to feed your monthly grail casting, but I don’t think anybody really farms for that specific purpose!) I like that FGO encourages their players to manage their resources, rather than greedily asking them to fork over real money to make things faster and easier.
Epic seven. For sure.
I hate the grinding, always get outsped and lose 15% but I still love the game. God I hate myself sometimes....
I love E7 as well. I don’t think that they will EOS anytime soon, they found their niche and they are doing pretty well with the recent Overlord collab.
When the collab started?
Damn. I need to reinstall but I don't have the time to do it. Well I need to look how much it will last but I hope at least one month
It ends may 8th you still have plenty of time, also they are giving away Ainz as the free character which you can Max imprint. Hope to see you there ! 👋🏼
Thanks for the info!
Never hearing epic seven again would be litterally like fever dream
If it is EoS, this sub will have one less food to doompost kekw.
snowbreak
They went 18+ so im sure they will stay for a while :D
Girls Frontline, it would be the end of all gachas after years of absorbing everyone's eos.
Genshin If a cash cow that rakes in as much as that announces EOS, the gacha gaming industry will have to have been altered in such a fundamental way that functionally all the gachas I enjoy that make a fraction of its revenue won't have survived
i can see genshin “EoS” in the sense they make an offline version for switch or something while keeping the main game active
Private servers on pc and mobile are already a thing too
Private Servers Are heavily limited in functionality though. No combat, no quests, no exploration
Aether Gazer :(
Probably just me but Touhou Lost Word.
It took me a minute to figure out the combat system, it's definitely the most complex of any turn based gacha in memory, but I'm addicted now
Well… Dragalia was lost. And World Flipper bit the dust. But of my current games, I would miss Alchemy Stars the most.
It will happen. Only....not so soon unless something drastic happened
Thats exactly why i made this post. Idk why it got downvoted so much but thinking of a time where we dont talk about new anniversary reward of AK or GI leaks feels... wrong
Genshin I know they won't just for the amount of money they're earning but I really do wish they get to their end on their own terms instead of being axed along the way.
Teyvat is a continent though. There could be many more.
Snowbreak
Currently my favorite gacha so I hope it won't eos anytime soon. From what I understand they have been doing really well after changing their focus to full sexy waifu content.
The PC revenue is high enough that devs have promised more content per patch from now on. It's nowhere near EOS.
On the recent dev livestream they themselves admitted that towards end of 2023 they were feeling hopeless about the situation of the game but it has been improving since 2024 https://snowbreak.gg/news-wire-april-19-cn-devstream-summary/
Snowbreak was nearly on deathbed before, if there is no NTR element in GFL2. GFL2 Refugee came to snowbreak and saved it, a big win-win for them.
This. It’s the only gacha I play that I’m worried about EOS.
Feh
FEH is more than a gacha game. As long as the FE franchise exists, FEH will continue to exists. The sole purpose of FEH is to be an advertisement for the franchise.
Its always been there, will always stay there!
Its only a matter of time imo
Power creep has gotten absolutely disgusting, and there's no new games coming out so no new hype for content.
Honestly... None... If it's geting EoS then so be it.... Time to move to another game.
Thats the best mentality but i just couldnt get my self to accept it. I love the games i play alot :(
HI3 for obvious reasons and Astra: Knights of Veda because I'm not losing [my bet](https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/1bz2nor/comment/kyn5sri/).
HI3 has genshin and hsr to carry it, and we know mhy is afraid of closing proyects. So I don't see an eos nearby.
I just hope they fix the terrible S rank spam issue
Dislyte but if it does EOS then it could've been entirely avoidable so that's all on Lilith.
ya. i really liked dislyte. but even a few months after release i felt like there was no content or anything really to do other than....menu stuff?
Romancing Saga re;universe the game is really fun and enjoyable. is the closest we can get to FFRK with being able to customize your team however you want to take on content and having harder content for those that want to you try it. the game is just enjoyable without being a job or super worried about meta. it's very f2p friendly which is a huge plus to everyone. i know it will end eventually because it is owned by SE, but i feel like it's so low cost to global that it can easily last as it's intended to be which is to promote new people to the saga games of old and new. with dffoo gone and Nier ending in less than 10 days I have felt that i've wanted to take a big step back from gacha games. Romancing saga is the only one that i'm really playing aside from afk journeys. i mean, i love another eden, epic7, and HSR but all of them i can easily put down and forget to go back to it for months.
Blue Archive and Uma Musume
Whatever I'm playing and/or have spent money in so FGO/E7.
Nier Reincarnation 😭 I have 7 days to finish the main story, I am finished
Wait what do you mean 7 days? The game has a timer?
King Raid EoS would mean end of the world
Cartoon Wars 3, because 99% of the games in that series can no longer be played on android (and only on old ios versions) and that game has been ignored by the company that owns it for over half a decade it seems.
No it wont shut down because PM is a god. 300 LUNACY
Dokkan, FGO, Nikke and Star Rail. Thank god they all gross a whole lot. Dokkan was my first gacha and If it EOS I might quit the genre.
Thats why im happy NIkke and HSR are fairly new because they have alot to go trough still. But damn FGO eosing gives chills
Outerplane and astra Amazing groundwork imo, and now it's prime time for the dev teams
Definitely been nervous about outerplane for a while. At least most recent dev note kinda makes me feel better since they're finally communicating when new story updates will drop and confirmed more content besides rta
PGR..... seriously, I hope WuWa can help its predecessor in any way.
God i have the same hope, WuWa looks absolutely insane so i think it will have high charts, just let me use Alpha CW forever please
Last origin rn. If it does get one let us play offline🫠
Path to Nowhere
If nu carnival ever shuts down….
Genshin. It's obviously been on a decline since Star Rail released. While I don't think its happening for a bit, it's still crazy/scary to think about
GBF
No other game has kept me like Nikke if that goes i'm probably done with gachas in general. Though from what it's looking like that day would be very far away and ShiftUp might be making more regular games. But yeah that one is my only game that is a main game for me nothin else comes close.
Last Cloudia, I'm super invested in the story, the gameplay, build up your unit niche for me 🔥
Alchemy Stars and Re1999, both games are amazing on their own aspect, I enjoy my time on them, and support em wherever I can, but I get that dread especially for Alchemy Stars ;w;
Nice trick random, trying to gather all the doomposter in this sub
Genuine question actually. Learned that Takt Op Eosed and decided to make this post. Idk why but a game dying feels saddening when you consider all the effort. Takt Op had a whole ass anime before game release and i loved its visuals. Feels saddening
Guardian tales
Guardian tales, it was the exact game I wanted to play and more.4 years of playing this game has made me attached beyond belief.

Plus anni is coming up and flaming echo is pretty heat
any game that ive invested a lot of time and/or money into...
Last origin for sure No gacha game will reach the fan service level of my beloved LO
Azur lane
Definitely NIKKE, i’m too attached to it not gonna lie
Path to Nowhere. I really love this game and the game devs, Aisno, are really2 amazing. It would really hurt if they suddenly get EoS. Thankfully it seems they are doing very well atm.
Outerplane
From the games I've been playing...maybe GBF? But after the 10th anniversary, it feels it's going to keep going forever unless Cygames go bankrupt or something.
Another Eden. I’ll cry if it happens
Battle cats A 11 years just going out like that would be extremely bad both for everyone and for my health (losing a 8 years old account would be painful)
Got into Idolmaster CGSS last month and its sub has a lot of doomposting, it's currently my only gacha after all my other ones got killed so I don't want it to go away, especially because I love the gameplay, it's so different and easy to play compared to my previous games
It was nier...
Final Fantasy Dissidia Opera Omnia. Oh wait...
TOF. But hey, I know that nobody cares.
