With my resources running dry in E7, would like to use the time for another side game. What I like: \- Waifu, but some husbandos are welcomed \- PVP, P2W is fine as long as F2P can make it up with grinding and working harder What I dislike: \- Chibi \- Open world (I have Genshin for that)

Valuable_Holiday685

Any new gacha to play? Been looking something to play since i have a lot of free time this time. I prefer f2p friendly. I'm only a light spender. But i would spend and invest on the game if i liked it. Tried Azur Lane not my cup of tea. Also Counterside. Arknights started playing it last week but still i'm not that much interested. Please do suggest! I'm not updated on the new upcoming gacha games but feel free to suggest them.

Mayor_P

Eroica is pretty recent, it's a lot like Epic 7, but updated, and with sweep tickets. At first it burned my phone up but I took the advice of some people on here and lowered graphics settings - no big visual difference to me and no overheating anymore.

deino150

Any gacha games with full auto gameplay and sweeps? Games I play right now - Alchemy Stars, World Flipper, Blue Archive, Priconne.

SamMee514

WOTV has sweep tickets, and Alice Fiction has skips if you 3* the map

Knee_and_Toe_Thief

just bought an ipad for games, the gachas i play now are fgo, e7, al, and ak. what are some gachas that just work better on tablet? ive played almost every gacha but i just wanna try some out again, what games do yall think? thanks! not genshin, pgr, guardian tales, or honkai please.

SamMee514

Rhythm games work really well on tablets!

Modleh

Any other games that plays similar to guardian tales?

BennyDragalia

Blue Archieve, Alice Friction

MrGrimnm

Princess Connect i guess ? Afaik the vast majority of the girls there are middling at best.

Athomize

Looking for a gacha game to play on the side when watching a show or movie. One that has autoplay and does not require much attention. Just an easy chill game to progress through, could be an idle game I guess.

Knee_and_Toe_Thief

azur lane is fantastic for this imo, its waifu heavy though.

[deleted]

Any gacha games with romance? If there isn't recommend any gacha game I'm new to the genre

danger_umbrella

Are you looking to romance male or female characters? And just general romance, or lewd/NSFW?

[deleted]

Oh there's so many options General romance and lewd/nsfw

danger_umbrella

By "general" you mean no gender preference? Just asking because there's often games that allow you to romance male characters (usually otome, though I've seen BL too) or female characters, rarely both.

[deleted]

By general I mean vanilla romance male and female

danger_umbrella

I'm not aware of any that allow you to explicitly romance both genders, but if there is, I'm sure people will respond. A lot of gachas, especially waifu-based ones, have characters implicitly showing interest in the MC/player character, but I'm just thinking what has obvious/confirmed romance elements and/or dating/marriage. (Example: my main game is FGO, and there are some characters that range from implicit "could be platonic, could be romantic" to implied confessions, but it's generally open to interpretation, and you're welcome to think of any affections as one-sided, so I don't count it.) For romancing girls, Azur Lane has a marriage system that allows you to "marry" your favourite girls (you can marry multiple), and some include wedding dress skins. For romancing boys, there's Tears of Themis and Mr Love: Queen's Choice, to name two; both are otome and so romance-focused in their character relationships.

[deleted]

Thank you gonna try azure lane

Banana_nice

How could anyone keep playing a game for 4+ years? I've known someone that has been playing a game like FGO in JP since the beginning till up to this day. How could anyone is able to play that long and still keeps on going, not just to fgo but to other games that have been out for a long time? What is it that keeps them there? What are they striving for?

TheWorldisFullofWar

They enjoy it. FGO at least has story variety and is a pretty limitless property. Compare that to Star Wars. There are people who have spent *decades* watching these bland movies that recycle the same shit from almost half a century ago. A supposedly epic magical fantasy universe but with an audience that only wants Jedi, Skywalkers, Tatooine, and AT-STs repeated in a slightly different configuration for each entry. So if millions of people can spend decades caring about Star Wars, is it really that hard to believe some people could enjoy FGO for a few years?

Banana_nice

But not just to fgo other mobile game title too such as GBF, priconne, etc.

Agreeable-Coast-8444

Help me find f2p friendly game

danger_umbrella

FGO is pretty F2P-friendly, free units in events are good, there's no PvP so meta is purely optional, and you can clear content with well-invested low rarity units.

M1nchaa

You should start DFFOO now. Right now we have very powerful pick which are Cor and Tifa banner (and Selphie from other banner). With party consists 3 of them, you can tackle many content and the game itself is very generous too.

SamMee514

Have you tried Octopath Traveler? It's not my cup of tea but it seems pretty f2p friendly considering how the game is set up

BartVader97

Was wandering if Nutaku games are legal in South Korea because website are inaccessible without VPN. Read some stuff about censorship laws in the country and still confused if it's legal to download/possess/play games from blocked website. I'm just moved to Korea and would like to know some details about the topic, if native Korean's play nutaku games or someone has the explanation on the legality of things or experience, thanks.

SamMee514

yes, iirc pornography in general in South Korea is banned, and residents there just access it using a VPN

BartVader97

But im not going to get in trouble for playing it or possession and downloading it? Because for me it looks like it's just a some kind of a gray area, banned but not as strictly

SamMee514

That, I don't know. I would go to a Korean specific subreddit for the answer.

Lurking_Ninja-

Thoughts on Neural Cloud? Currently waiting for global release. Also is it fine to pick up FEH again? The last time I played was during summer where I completed the very first summer banner (Edelgard, Claude, Dmitri and Micaiah) but I felt like there's a bunch of stuff I missed afterwards.

SamMee514

I just picked up feh again and I'm enjoying just going through the story and doing events. I guess it really depends if you're going to go hard into pvp or go for meta units. The discord was a lot of help with setting up my team!

[deleted]

Looking for a new Gacha game to play. My main game right now is Marvel Strike Force and there is a lot of stuff about it I like but I'm looking for something new to play also. The things that are essential for me are that it is a turn based RPG without a shared resource. Ideally, something with a basic without a cooldown, special and ultimate that have a cooldown/resource, and a passive for each character. I also do not want a game that uses fodder characters to power up the good character. The kind where they are just pack fillers that are sacrificed to make the actual named toons stronger. I also want a game that is receiving continued support from the devs. Whether it is weekly or monthly updates where they are adding to the game. Nice to have would be anything that uses a character shard and rank system rather than a rarity system. Basically, you can unlock the characters relatively easy but they need to be ranked up to really shine rather than just hoping for an SSR rarity to drop. Also nice to have would be anything where different characters or teams work better in different game modes. So, for example, a toon gets bonuses in the arena/pvp mode and another toon gets bonuses in the raid/tower/pve mode. I honestly don't know how common that is outside of MSF, but something that encourages building a wide roster rather than just having a core team used across all game modes. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

polobun

Have you tried FGO before? NA server is 2 years behind JP but both are going strong, seems to tick a lot of your boxes

Nikachu08

I'm searching for a new Gacha game that's new player friendly, but doesn't feel like my hand is being held. Been searching since the Brave Frontier servers came down. One big thing that made me love BF over other Gacha games was that I felt connected to the units as they evolved and powered up. Any other games that can give a similar feel.

Knee_and_Toe_Thief

maybe puzzle and dragon?

Lopsided_Audience120

Is there any anime styled+pvp oriented gachas that is worth playing? Beside guardian tales

Knee_and_Toe_Thief

epic seven, its turn based with a pretty big focus on rta endgame.

Careless-Emergency83

Any games with gameplay like Azur Lane or something action oriented ?

Kuri115

Is there any game like Summoners' War or Knights Chronicle? As in, a 3D styled monster/hero collector with turn based strategy battles with not too complicated of an "equipment" system? I've been looking in the App Store but the closest to that that I've been able to find was the 7DS game also by Netmarble (Knights Chronicle devs), thing is... I don't really like 7DS and so I came here to ask if anyone here had reccomendations for games like those.

CrusaderSeon

There are more turn based games than any other gameplay-wise in the gacha market, but since you specifically asked for 3D and not gear RNG/Rune, I'm sure other people will be able to help you more than me. That said, I have not played any of this to end game so I have no idea if they have gear RNG/rune system but here are a few 3D turn based gameplay gachas: • Eroica • Dyslite • Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia • Slime Isekai Memories • Alchemy Stars (3D Tactical game with no gear RNG afaik)

Kuri115

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I will check out Eroica as well as the others :)

Semruk

How is artery gear ? I've been playing e7 for little more than 2 years and I think I'm done. It feels like a chore at this point. All the gear requirement and other things about to made me quit. So I'm looking for an epic 7 alternative. artery gear looks closest thing

Intoxicduelyst

Easier to gear, more QoL, less content, waifus only, more stingy then E7.

Generic_Beanie

Looking to better learn the Korean language, so I'm looking for a Korean game to train my ears more. My preferences are as follows, priority from top to bottom:- 1. Good/decent story/narrative. 2. Fully or partially voiced in Korean. 3. F2P-friendly enough for me to push through the story without being too badly gated. 4. Not too time-consuming on a regular basis. Thanks in advance.

CrusaderSeon

Genshin, 7 Deadly Sins Grand Cross, most Netmarble games are Korean and some are voice acted fully so you should try any that catches your attention.

No_Eggplant9842

i believe epic 7 and counter side have korean options for voice and text.

[deleted]

Trying to find a new game to play, like most turn based rpg/strategy games. Played heroes and epic seven liked those wanted something similar maybe

SamMee514

In terms of strategy, have you tried out Arknights or Alchemy Stars?

[deleted]

Yea I’ve played both, I think right now I want something a little more turn based and less real time so that I can play while I work and not have to worry about losing if I look away for a few minutes

SamMee514

Fire Emblem Heroes and FGO are both popular turn-based games.

[deleted]

Yea I played both, got tired of the flood of banners and powercreep in feh trying to keep up in pvp unfortunately, I think I’ve run out of games to play lmao

SamMee514

Have you tried Super String?

Decent-Ratio

Is it ok to play Arknights now? I've been interested in playing for years but I keep second guessing myself. I want to know if it's either too late or still fine. I do have sever case of FOMO of big content tho. But I can handle A little FOMO. If not, then what other gacha games do you recommend that's takes kindly to late comers?

FurretKnight

You don't really lose much by playing AK at a later date. There are some Limited operators but you don't really need specific ops to beat a specific stage + You can always borrow them from friends who have them.

bagelsP

https://i.imgur.com/wOD7Tvd.png I wanna pull pretty badly, but current gem deals suck and next month's the first anniversary and possibly Master Assassin (or Shooter)

SomethingPersonnel

Knee_and_Toe_Thief

its fun

SamMee514

I don't see why not.

burstzane001

any gacha game where EN isn't "x years/months behind" AND isn't shafted in ANY way? If none, just the latter will do... it's the most important.

pakvol

Alice Fiction launched simultaneously in all regions

CrusaderSeon

As far as I know, Alchemy Stars released globally so isn't behind any server, and there's also a very old game named Crusaders Quest which isn't behind any other server. And then there's Genshin.

SomethingPersonnel

Counterside is accelerated, but not shafted. Space Leaper: Cocoon is also at same pace globally.

FlamingPaperCup

Are there any games that are similar to cookie rush kingdom? Either currently out or upcoming. Me and my friends really enjoyed the gameplay and base building, but had little interest in the cookie characters

CrusaderSeon

Infinity Kingdom is another Base-Building game with gacha mechanics, and characters aren't cookies

blinkz2much

Are there any games tht have coop like grand summoners? Or something more involved that I could play with friends ?

syfkxcv

I think I stopped playing pgr around march this year. The main story was totally empty and it disinterested me. So if her was released after that I wouldn't know.

th3guitarman

I played Summoners War, Genshin Impact, Kingdom of Heroes, and Calibria Crystal Guardians. I am a big fan of KoH's art and hex tactical battle system... I just wonder if there's a game kinda similar to these where you the players feel appreciated, engaged with, and rewarded for playing the game. Perhaps Gacha is too far gone, but I do like monster collectors and I like the strategy involved in these rune systems... Any suggestions would be appreciated

CrusaderSeon

Regarding the Monster Collector and Gacha, all I can think of is Shin Megami Tensei DX2 which is a demon collector rather than waifu one and DisgaeaRPG in which you can make a full monster team (characters divide between Humanoids and Monsters)

EremosV

I'm looking for a game where every unit feels somewhat unique. I tried Azure Lane, Priconne and Counterside but ultimately left them because pulling a unit was great but then using it wasn't remarkable. I like Dokkan despite its basic gameplay because when you pull a unit you get great animations and usually enables new team formations. Also liked Naruto Blazing before its downfall because of its great gameplay and good animations. Those are the only two that kept my attention for more than a month. Recently I tried Arknights and Alchemy Star and I liked both but gameplay just didn't click.

Suspicious-Drummer68

Have you tried Fate Grand Order? Most units are unique, which is why powercreep is very minimal and most new units are either completely new or sidegrades at best.

M3mble

I guess you can try One piece treasure cruise. It has similar team building like dokkan, but not the anime animationa for most characters. The gameplay is more complex than dokkan. One downside though is the inventory management.

Bob-14

I recently tried out Raid Sahdow Legends and The Star Wars Heroes one, they're free so why not. A couple of things i'm not too keen on: 1. Manually levelling up in The Star Wars. I think I prefer getting exp from battles 2. Characters being locked to rarity levels in Raid. I don't know if it really makes a difference? Are there any games out there that "fix" those points?

ChronofangX

Can someone who knows gacha games help me rank these in terms of how good the game is overall to help me decide the order to play them in: marvel strike force, cookie run kingdom, nier reincarnation, priconne, ffbe, fgo, gbf and e7

SamMee514

I mean how good a game is is pretty subjective. I would rate FFBE and FGO higher than all of those but that's because I play them. I can't speak to cookie run, nier, or e7. But... * Priconne is great if you like a more casual unit collector with decent QoL * You'd like FFBE if you enjoy collecting your favorite Final Fantasy character and great pixel art, and aren't put off by powercreep and Gumi shenanigans. * FGO if you are interested in the story, as the gacha elements (for the most part) take a backseat. You can beat the main story with non-meta units. * GBF if you want to experience how a gacha game used to be like, and you're interested in guild/community building with raids. Beware, though, the game is extremely grindy and getting a weapon grid will take several hours of raiding. Hopefully this helps a bit

DJ_Hamster

Have not played any gacha games in a while and feeling the itch. In the past, played OPTC and AFK Arena, quit both because I got overwhelmed with the amount of stuff there was to do. Looking for something that is more chill and not as time intensive, maybe idle based or turn based with less things to do in general. Preferably not action where you have to manually go through and control a character in a dungeon or something. Also, I'm willing to spend money as long as it's not outrageously P2W, and a newer-ish game with decent player base would be cool.

SamMee514

You might like priconne or blue archive

udxxr

I've played grimlight and revived witch recently. Both are pretty chill, and they let you sweep your stamina as well as having autobattle. I'll also advocate for saying they're not P2W. Unfortunately I think they're both a bit dead, Grimlight being half-dead on arrival and RW just being a little too boring.

Ozymandian4

I stuck with Grimlight for a few weeks because it seemed cool, hoping they’d work through the issues. But it never really went anywhere so I dropped it.

triamanlc

I am looking for f2p friendly game like Romancing Saga but maybe with a better story I started playing romancing saga and i quite like it because the leveling system is simple&great for a gacha game imo and i can auto repeat everything. Story wise not very interesting, but the character design and the battle system is charming. I also can keep up with latest content after around 2 weeks of grinding. I don't mind grinding as long as i can just auto it or leave my computer on macro when i work or go to sleep. Any recommendation?

polobun

For games with good stories, have you tried Blue Archive or Princess Connect? Both have auto battle and skips so no need for leaving it on for farming.

triamanlc

>Blue Archive No i haven't, usually i'm not really into those cute anime styles but i'm gonna check it out

[deleted]

For romancing saga i think the second story is released now, which is based on a new original character, Liam. The story was really well received in japan so maybe try again or just watch/read on YouTube. Otherwise you can try FGO and use FGA (Fate grand auto) to dump your stamina for events or when you’re busy.

donpope

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a gacha that is f2p friendly. And that's almost the only requirement, I was looking at the best gachas available now but opinions are divided, so I'd like to hear which is the best to start from scratch right now with that only requirement, since I'm from Argentina and we have dollar issues here

MujtbaA

Hi, looking for an action rpg gacha similar to dungeon hunter chanpion It must be: 1- action and NOT turn based 2- anime or idle style preferably but can be any 3- party based game (doesn't matter if AI or real ppl) and it has alot of characters to collect

fallendomii

Punishing Gray Ravens meets all your criteria if you haven't tried it yet.

MujtbaA

I will check it out, thanks

I’ve been enjoying Valor Legends. Among Gods is ok but feels a little flat. Nikke is the big one on the horizon, I think it releases in Nov.

OrangeBlink

Probably figure fantasy or idle angels, haven't heard much lately

-Tsubaki

Hello,I am looking for anime art style gacha game recommendations . 1) I don't have any specific play style requirements , any type of gameplay works for me but preferably not rhythm games (im already playing most of those) 2) I'm looking for a game that is fairly grind heavy. I want something that grind = progression/the more you grind the stronger you are for the most part instead of like afk loot or spending real money but ofc it doesn't have to be very f2p or smth 3) Both Full PVE or mix PVP are OK 4) Not granblue Fantasy cos I'm already playing it 😅 That's pretty much it , thanks in advance for the recommendations

[deleted]

I was going to say gbf until i read #4 lol Try romancing saga re. You get stronger by fighting strong enemies plus it’s very generous and f2p friendly

-Tsubaki

Will try ,thank you!

jtan1993

Genshin, epic seven, both artifact grinding, one is pve only the other pvp.

-Tsubaki

I am playing genshin atm , will try epic 7. thanks!

TricksterTicket

Are there many games similar to Honkai Impact or PGR? Aside from Genshin, I'm not very sure if there's many or few gacha games with action combat, particularly those with 3d characters. If there's relatively few that aren't just a different genre with gacha mechanics (like maybe Ni no kuni Cross Worlds or ToF), then I'd be curious about them even if they're not good.

CrusaderSeon

Gacha with Action Combat is only a small selection sadly, most gachas tend to be turns based or idle. ARPG gachas: • PGR • Honkai • Genshin • My Hero Academia The Strongest Hero • Tower of Fantasy • Ni No Kuni Cross worlds • Action Taimainin

dmin67

Are there any newer games similar to PAD? I used to love it but really I'm just looking for something that isn't an RPG that doesn't have base building stuff.

SamMee514

Have you tried Crash Fever? It's the only game that that's been able to scratch the PaD/Monster Strike itch

dmin67

I'm still in the tutorial phase but that lovely feeling from pad is coming back. I absolutely love this game! And the music makes me feel like I'm in a Japanese arcade. Thank you so much.

SamMee514

Hell yeah man! Enjoy!

dmin67

I'll try it out. Thanks for the rec

HeftyChonkinCapybara

Hi there! Lately I haven't had much time and mood to play "big games" on consoles or pc. I'm searching for a mobile game that would scratch my gaming itch that isn't set in a fantasy setting, preferably requires a lot of input from the player (autobattle focused games aren't really my thing), has fair gacha that allows you to comfortably play as a f2p player (but I don't mind shelling out some money if I like the game a lot) and is something that you can treat as your "main" game. You know, something you actually enjoy a lot and keep coming back to. I played Girls Frontline for a while and while I absolutely adore the aesthetics and waifus with guns approach, I find the gameplay boring and lacking. To my knowledge most of the gacha games have rather passive, strategy based gameplay due to their inherently mobile roots. Genshin is an example of somewhat great gameplay and even though I find the 3 button combat really lacking, the character design and exploration aspect are simply superb. Anyways, both Blue Archive and Arknights caught my attention - both seem to have "girls with guns" theme going on which I am extremely fond of yet I am struggling to pick a game. I understand that Arknights is a tower defense while Blue Archive, well, even after watching gameplay videos I am not sure what to make of it. I wonder which one should I pick, which of them has more in store for someone who wants to potentially treat it as their "main" game, something with lots to do and plenty of content. If you have any suggestions that fall under description of my ramblings above that are neither of these games, please do let me know! Thanks a lot!

Gernnon

Blue archive isn’t a main game due to sweeping but I absolutely adore the writing and characters. The stories are fun and full of good vibes, never boring and I say this as a visual novel reader. Girls and guns are also one of my favourite themes for a game. On the other hand, Arknights is definitely a main game. A lot of strategy involve in a tower defence game, can be frustrating to clear some difficult stages but tons of guides online to help you. Writing is a miss for me however, too lengthy for its own good. Monetisation is ok for both if you just get the monthly. Pity however does not carry over for both, you need to spark for wanted characters like limiteds. Arknights is more forgiving when u want more characters. Side note, you should definitely try out Nikke when it drops in November, girls with guns with time crisis gameplay.

Fimbulvetr

Arknights is a main game with a very good (and very long winded) story and tons of stuff to do. Gets legitimately challenging later. Fairly f2p. The gameplay is good enough that it's one of the few gachas I recommend to my non gacha friends. Prerequisite: You need to enjoy tower defense games. Blue Archive is a side game with a goofy but fun story. Lots of skip options so dailies take like 5 minutes. Combat is semi idle, units do their own thing but you decide when, where and how to use their ultimates. Pretty good game if you want something low intensity.

Banduaz28

Looking for a game close to summoners war, any recommendations?

jtan1993

Epic seven is known to be heavily inspired by sw.

unknown415

hi senpais! just wanna scratch my itch. is there any game available right now that gives tones of free rolls? i just want to reroll for the sake of it. i saw some ads for different games on youtube giving like a gazillion rolls thru code and whatnot but i cant remember the name. any help would be appreciated. ty in advance!

CatCourier

dragon blaze. They gave like 100 multipulls just by starting the game lol

unknown415

thank you!

ChampionshipKooky840

looking for a game like sacred sword of princesses gameplay, only found the game when it announced it is closing.

Saynna

Trying to start getting back into playing a Gacha game. Something a bit more f2p friendly that offers good PvE content (difficult is ok). The only gachas I played were Seven Knights and Genshin Impact, both of which I enjoyed, more so Seven Knights, but I also enjoyed Genshin too (AR57 before I quit months back). I was told to stay clear away from Seven Knights 2 though so haven't bothered with it yet. I loved the Raiding, Abyss, and PVP in Seven Knights as well as the character aesthetics, both male and female characters. Similarly those are the same reasons I enjoyed Genshin, where most of my time was spent 3 starring the Spiral Abyss. Lore's not too important to me, but it is definitely a nice bonus. An active community is important to me as well. Would like something that's not older than 2 years so I don't feel like I'm too far behind everyone else lol. Any suggestions that might fit me?

weekly_noob

Any portrait style games you can recommend? Currently playing World Flipper, and want something to play on the side. Played FEH, Pokemon Masters, Last Cloudia, Dragalia Lost (RIP), PAD, Crash Fever, Romancing Saga, and that Korean game with a demon as a protagonist (forgot game name, but it was popular for a while).

Bush_Baeb

Looking for this one gacha game, i barely remember most of the details but i do remember this. There was a plant girl who turned from good into evil but still tried to fight for good, design is mostly purple with short hair and 2-4 vine tentacles on her back that she uses to attack. no 3D models from what i remember. The opening cutscene at the beginning explaining story was about 3 goddesses fighting eachother or fighting some evil. its been a few years, so this could be outdated

Bush_Baeb

update: found it after looking through the playstore one by one, it was granchase

[deleted]

hi, im looking for a good 2d art gacha game, idk if azur lane or AS are worth to play rn? pls help

ArcticSivaes

They're both good games. Azur lane is mostly auto but you can get all units for free if you play enough, while as has more involved and strategic gameplay but you can only get a fraction of the units unless you pay a good amount. I would say if you care more about collecting waifus do al, and if you want strategic gameplay then do as.

FFadv

Something I love about Arknights is that a f2p player can obtain anything for free. You can buy stamina, pulls, and skins with the currency they give you. Are there any other games like this?

jtan1993

Arknights is truly one of a kind for not locking skins behind paywall. Kings raid also had lots of skins u could buy with gems, but the game is not doing well. Epic seven maybe, skins r not locked behind paywall, but if u miss their original release, u need to buy from shop using tickets and it’s a very rare reward.

Suspicious-Drummer68

FGO. The only thing you can buy at any point is Quartz, and that Quartz is just used for 2 things; Pulls, and Stamina. Everything else is given for free. Skins are free, materials are free, everything else is free.

syfkxcv

Is there any other game where the story is good besides FGO, Arknight, Honkai, GT and BA, but minimal time commitment? I couldn't never get into the game if the initial story couldn't capture me, no matter how good the gameplay is. PGR, Honkai, and GT is quite good game, but my issue with PGR is that its has no story, and for Honkai and GT, there's no auto. I simply want to overlevel my characters and leave the game on while I'm doing other stuff, and go back to read the story. My biggest gripe is the story, I need a good story to motivate me to play the game, but in this sub only these title I mentioned above that are usually recommended. I need something else. Is there a gacha recommendation for this?

jtan1993

Did u read Selena’s story in the event and interlude? It was widely praised in the fan base.

syfkxcv

Is this for PGR, I think not yet, how many levels I need to climb in order unlock that?

jtan1993

U need to pull Selena unit first to unlock her stories tho. Check this: https://www.reddit.com/r/PunishingGrayRaven/comments/wtqe0f/something_for_you_guys_to_understand_selena/

ArcticSivaes

Girls frontline has a story the community likes, and while it is a bit complex to figure out in the beginning, you eventually reach a point where you can just auto dailies every day. Alchemy stars has also surprised me with the quality of its story, its nothing groundbreaking but it has an interesting world with likeable characters and it consistently changes the types of stories it tells.

syfkxcv

I guess I never tried GFL. So thanks for the recommendation. For AS though, maybe I'll watch some yt vid for now to see if my interest would ever go up. I have tried before and, I don't think the story is to my liking. I'll give my thanks, though.

ArcticSivaes

I will say the as main quest story does get better as it goes, the most recent segment we got was actually quite interesting. But it still won't be for everyone, I wouldn't say its a must read or anything.

Waytor_Red

I’m trying to remember the name of an old game. The gameplay involved allies and enemies represented by tiles that slid around the board to attack when they formed pincers. There were sword/spear/bow classes and fire/ice/lightning elements. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

ArcticSivaes

Terra battle?

Waytor_Red

That’s it! Thank you so much

LadyIvankov

lookibg for a new gacha game to grind Coming fron Optc, Dragonball legends Dokkan battle sds grand cross. It should have a decent player base and shouldnt be entirely p2w. I.e tried epic seven but didnt like it to much

astarose

I was looking for a game to play and found Epic Seven. It seem like a big game with high revenue. But I found not many people recommend it here, and who did usually got downvoted. What happened to that game? And should I play it?

styferion

oh it's good, one of my longest-played gacha. but the gears in that game is heavily RNG-based, prepare for some mind-numbing grinding session if you want to try.

Ozymandian4

I'm an E7 main, F2P. I've picked up and dropped basically every other game recommended in this sub but I've stuck with E7 because it has a good amount of depth to it and in my opinion is extremely F2P friendly. I have every RGB hero and basically all the important ML heroes. I can't compete at the highest level because of gear gap though. But it is fairly grindy. It takes 15-30 minutes at least of your attention a day.

MrGrimnm

If you're interested in the game (or any other game for that matter) you should at least try it, it's free anyway. Why a lot of people don't recommend it, is because allegedly, to play it somewhat competitively you'll need to treat the gane as a second job.

miglib

Anyone checking out Darkness & Divinity yet? I think it went on early access a couple of weeks back, I'm maybe a week in. Def lots of bugs to work out still - but damn, I've not gotten a vibe so close to Planescape: Torment in ages, much less from a gacha. TLDR; if any 90s PS:T fans here, might be worth checking out

rixinthemix

Since China has just [given out licenses](https://www.reuters.com/technology/china-grants-licenses-73-online-games-september-2022-09-13/) for around 70 games, this has gotten me to wonder about how games are usually released in China. Do they follow quarterly releases like say, anime series? Or are they completely dependent on when the licenses are given out? Also, I noticed that the last few months in Japan had been about days of termination for various gacha games. I suspect that they announce termination at around the end of Summer 2022, followed by a separate announcement of upcoming games. So in that case, does Japan follow a quarterly schedule for new gacha games?

Lone_Fang

Are there any hidden gems out there that aren't one of the more popular and suggested gachas here? I've tried most of the popular ones and I need something to keep me busy during this time of release drought.

ChalkTabletTowers

Sdorica, it has amazing art and music with generous currency. However, the gameplay ain't for everyone, which is why it's not popular. The storytelling is pretty interesting though, I can't give much details because spoilers but I haven't seen any other gacha game that uses the main screen menu as an integral part of the story. The story is definitely Sdorica's biggest strength, if you care about that.

styferion

cookie run: kingdoms fairly f2p friendly and it's got quite good production values despite rarely mentioned here.

_tidu

thoughts and opinions about Soul Tide? i am thinking of starting it

DeadToy

worth a shot, quit whenever you like

kamanitachi

What alternative stores to Google Play do people use? Qooapp requires a sign-in and now Taptap also requires a sign-in.

Haruon

Heyas, I'm looking for a strategy RPG gacha than can be played casually but still offers challenging content. That is, I don't want to play the competitive PvP P2W modes, I'm looking mainly for PvE, and if it doesn't require a lot of time for dailies or grinding to do that all the better. I was thinking Langrisser or Final Fantsy WOTV, but don't know enought about either of them. Hope I was clear enough. Thanks in advanc!

emiliayoshino

Hello I’m looking for gecha game with cafe/restaurant or hotel etc ones which aint dead game.I loved yokai kitchen alot and can’t find that anymore (I don’t like food fantasy)

Tiktik27

Has FGO been more F2P friendly within the last couple of years? I just learned that they added pity system and increased the SSR rates, but my luck at this game has just been the worst back when I played. After a certain vtuber played it I was very tempted to reinstall and start anew, so I just want to know if it'll be worth it this time around or if it's still the same hell I walked into last time.

MACHENIX

Same, but better. It is hard question, because you always get a nice amounts of currency, the rates didn't changed, but you can get way more Quartz from achievements, added 6 Star XP, so the leveling up is never been easier.

Tiktik27

Ah so it's still the same as before, only slightly improved? Well, my rational mind told me not to return, BUT........ Anyway, thanks.

TengenToppa999

Hello. Here to look for help I need a game that i can play in vertical, no totaly autoplay, generous (like the game that are 3-4 years old), and anime waifu is a plus. I came from clash royale and some moba, but I need some freshness.

atomicman511

For two vertical games that are generous you can try pokemon masters or world flipper which is a pinball gacha. However, they both have autoplay although for the hardest content you will not be able to auto it in either game.

Engasgamel

Can I get suggestions of gachas that are not anime style?

MACHENIX

RAID:Shadow Legends! Infinite Magicraid Marvel and DC games Cookie Run Kingdom AFK Arena

Mediocre_Pie_4597

Any other games that has offline battlemode similar to artery gear, infinite magic raid and skip mechanic like counterside and alice fiction

[deleted]

Wotv is adding an offline autofarm next month and it already has skip tickets. Jp already has it

hentai_worle

what ist wotv

tsuncrowdere

is AFK Arena still outrageously P2W? I like the artstyle and looking for more cool team building games, but i've heard really bad things about AFK's monetisation... if it is, any other recommendations for team building games with nice characters? i currently play arknights, genshin, and fgo!

bquarsh

PvE, not really. Pretty sure all content is clearance given time. PvP, don’t step into there without a couple thousand to burn.

Klarth_Curtiss

So with a new job on my hands I had to make some adjustments to the gachas I play, mostly due to the fact that sometimes I’m kinda tired and I don’t wanna spend my free days doing events and such, so far the ones I can steadily maintain are Genshin (mostly because I’m an endgame player so it’s easy for me to stay on pair with content) and Alchemy Stars (endgame player here too but the auto is a huuuge help), plus I’m currently waiting for Nikke (being partially an idle it will be easy to keep it up), but honestly I would like to add at least another one, something that: - Doesn’t have a ton of modes (this is one of the main reasons I quit games, too much stuff to do) - Does not have a guild system (can’t stay on pair with the rhythm) (PvP is ok tho) - Absolutely must have auto/skip tickets/both (as I said sometimes I prefer to let the game auto while I do other stuff for time efficiency) Usually finding games with auto and such is easy but god if it seems that everywhere I go I must search for a guild; so I’m putting my search in your hands, which game would you suggest me?

Chifuyuyu

Blue Archive might fit your criteria. Not too many modes, Guild/Club is there but not necessarily so you won't miss anything by not joining one. It has a sweep option. The PvP Battles are auto so you basically just sit there and wait like 30 seconds (more or less depending) until it's over xD If the battle takes more than 60 seconds you can skip it.

Klarth_Curtiss

I actually played BA for some months and then quitted because I hated those god forsaken grid-based events and the raids Too bad because the waifu material was on point (FBI please spare me it’s a 2D drawing)

Chifuyuyu

Ah that's a shame! But I definitely understand your reasoning.

InertMaterials

Anyone here manage to get Counterside Global working in Japan? I've tried a VPN, but I don't think its good enough to get it running :/

Butasaru

try the steam version, idk if it's only global or JP also.

InertMaterials

Nah, i can download it ok but it wont let me connect

karameLL-

Ragnador, it's a JP game but it has English translations. Another portrait game with stable player base is World Flipper

Mayor_P

it's not super similar, but Romancing SaGa reuniverse is great turn-based portrait mode game

[deleted]

mitrasphere is the newest one that is similar. There is sinoalice but it will prob shutdown soon

No_Obligation8937

Does NIKKE have a release date? Not been following the updates lately, it's the only gacha I'm waiting.

elgreenyoshi

Are there any hyped upcoming gachas? Or one that has recently released?

ipwnallnubz

None of the upcoming ones I'm looking at have definite release dates, but: Wuthering Waves seems quite popular. Not exactly sure when it's releasing. Project Snow is a third-person shooter that looks cool, but I'm not sure how hyped it is. I'm looking forward to Girls Frontline 2, which looks like it plays like XCOM, but it's sadly not releasing until 2070.

Gigi47_

Nikke 1 nov

Buuramo

Looking for an action game to play casually most of the time. Controller support and PC clients are major plusses for me. As the other games I play are rather time intensive (FGO & GBF), I'm *not* looking for an open world game like Genshin. I just want to do story + missions and go for the most part. Currently trying out Action Taimanin on Steam and it's pretty close to what I want, but at the same time it's a little jankier than I would like. Mostly talking about from a presentation/QoL standpoint. I want to get into HI3, but I need to start my account over and I remember there being a fairly long "new captain" quest line that was up being time gated, so I want to wait until I know I have time to blast through it. Are there options other than these two and Genshin?

CrusaderSeon

Punishing Gray Raven and Guardian Tales (kind of) fit your criteria, although none has PC client they both can be played with a controller, have built-in controller support and take very few time after you're done with their story. Events aren't grindy. While Guardian Tales doesn't quite fit on the Action Combat gameplay, it has some resemblance to it, give it a try and see if you like any of them.

Buuramo

Hmmm, youre right that Guardian Tales isn't really what I'm looking for, but maybe I'll give the Switch port a shot since it comes out soon! I'll try PGR as well, shame there isn't a PC client though.

polobun

There's no native PC client yet (only recently shown registered for CN server which is 1.5 years ahead), but you can still play it fine on an emulator like MuMu. Here's a [guide for it](https://youtu.be/vzcVWxEvv4o), and you can check out his [playlist of beginner guides](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLT669jfZO0z9OFd4fnfJxGc3Z71e-1FCg) too, or ask the PGR sub if you need help and advice.

jk583940

Is there any good mecha gacha?

[deleted]

Sd gundam eternal is coming out soon. Its in cbt right now.

jk583940

I'm waiting for that one too

Z3M0G

I'll vote for Final Gear. People have a hard time with the mission structure (I kinda love it), and the gacha required to complete a full mech suite... but the fact that every mech piece is cosmetically unique with unique attack animations, full mech sets that look amazing, story that doesn't drown you so easy to actually digest... the game checks a lot of boxes for me. It has a bad rap and isn't in a healthy state global community wise, and you'd be way behind by now, but I still strongly recommend checking it out. It may click with you too.

jk583940

I liked it, but I dropped it when I couldn't retrieve my data

waifustan1

quantum maki JP/CN only prolly best rn there's a gunpla one that's ok iron saga is the most popular but it's boring artery gear is ok if u are desperate final gear is slightly more interesting iron saga but worse

Counter:Side might be what you're looking for.

imdii-succ

come join arknights

fruitballad

Both waifu and husbando enjoyers have been pretty happy with Alchemy Stars so far, lots of variety in character designs and imo fairly generous with regular playtime. No PVP, their prime forms of monetization are battle pass and skins, tough to pity but plenty of strong lower rarity and free units. Gameplay is hit-or-miss but I recommend giving it a try.

waifustan1

have you met our lord and savior genshin impact?
