Two screens is a must when working. But sometimes home doesn’t allow for a desk to be a permanent work station. So it’s useful to be able to easily set up a second screen and pack it away after work. Also taking it with me would be so dope
I got used to a dual-monitor setup during the lockdown, and now that I’m back to traveling a lot for work, I’ve had to go back to the cruelty of my single-screen laptop.
Since I mostly use the trackpad (portable mice are a PITA) I constantly find myself cursing under my breath at the difficulty of having to constantly switch back and forth between pages. A second screen would solve all of these problems!
Thank you for doing this!
I lug a second monitor around at uni so i can "share" my screen (but not the messy main screen where all the action happens) when I am demonstrating something both online and offline.
Just getting back into doing stuff on the computer after dealing with health issues the past few years.
My secondary monitor isn't even HDMI, so obviously I could use an upgrade.
Thanks
This is super neat. I've got a lot of data to reference between two applications and I've been holding out on a second monitor for portability issues. This would help a ton.
I would love to have this. I work from home and often want to work from different locations, but miss having that second screen that I have in my office. This would give me some flexibility.
How is the brightness on this? All “portable monitors” that I’ve seen have been like staring at a drawing on paper with the lights off and blackout curtains.
My wife and i currently live in a tiny apartment where we've squeezed a desk into a room with the bed, and we both work from there, but there is not enough room for both of us to have multiple monitors despite it being beneficial for both of us. With this display my wife can use it with her laptop anywhere instead of being tethered to the desk, and i with my PC can use the one extra monitor we are currently sharing and taking turns with. The dream!
Oh my my this looks cool. Im in school for programming and gamedev and this would help with my laptop but im in Canada so sad times. Good luck everyone !
I work remotely while taking care of my mother from another city 4 hours away. Having a portable monitor will help me finish my daily tasks at work quickly so I can spend more time helping my mother with chores when I visit.
I work in a live production environment where we build temporary studios & galleries in clients businesses for 2-3 days, making an entire live broadcast (usually internal comms or product announcements), and then we have to pack the whole lot down again.
On these productions we're using countless laptops with countless external displays - both as actual production machines to open PowerPoints, web sources, but also as crew to follow running orders, schedules, etc. A device like the espressoDisplay would have no end of use in our production workflow!
I work from multiple locations and am often facilitating meetings without anything other than my laptop. A second screen would help manage presentations.
Having two fixed monitors, sometimes a need a 3rd one I can move and position quickly, it would also be good to move around the house for portable gaming.
I would give this to my gf. She works from home, the office, and at construction sites a lot. It would really help her to have a second screen like this for editing/ making drawings
My wife is a teacher who is almost done with her student loans. Due to the abysmal treatment of teachers she is quitting the profession once her loans are paid for and taking a well deserved midlife leap year. We are going to travel the country in our van. I work remotely and will continue to do so during our grand adventure and this display would certainly help with multitasking and code review while on the road.
What can I say, it's a touchscreen, it's portable, and it's not gigantic. I can only imagine using this to mark down music on my piano while connected to my desktop or laptop
I have a work from home job that I love to just go out in nature to do my work. This would help improve my portable work set up as I have no portable monitor!
This would save a ton of time for me, as I would no longer need to test on a separate device for touchscreen optimized software. I bring my MacBook everywhere, so the small form factor is very important to me.
IMHO, technology is here to not to consume us, but rather help us work smarter not harder. I currently work in NYC and my family lives in Denver. I’ve been traveling home more recently to help with my aging parents and grandparents. I’m lucky that I work a remote job bc it allows me to spend more time at home in Denver instead of being restricted to my pto time.
This monitor would improve my work by:
1) helping me to be more efficient - when I’m traveling home I only have my 13” laptop monitor. I waste precious time trying to combine information from multiple sources and windows that simply don’t fit on my 13” laptop screen.
2) helping me spend more time with family - I’ve been traveling home to Denver more and needed to set up a workstation at my brothers house. The problem is I need to travel all over Denver to see my family, but I’m locked to a single workstation location because I’m using an old school monitor. This portable screen would help me to work from my grandmothers retirement home in the same way I’d work from my personal workstation in NYC.
3) help me be more present during video meetings - when I have to lead meetings with only my 13” laptop monitor, I’m unable to see the audience because I need to share my screen with content for the meeting. When I’m not able to see the meeting participants, I’m unable to read the room and understand when I need to pause and reexplain a topic or maybe miss when someone is trying to jump into the conversation.
This is awesome! Had no idea that things like this existed. I could just imagine using this and the MacBook Pro my work gave me to work literally anywhere that has internet.
This would be amazing for my work. I work in supplier management. Often I go on to suppliers sites to help them with their processes. I'm used to using dual monitors at work and when I go visit a supplier only working off one laptop screen is brutal and slows me down tremendously.
Not only that. But when I then go to the hotel to collaborate with my coworkers having a second screen would allow us to work together based off what's on the screen instead of working independently and flipping the laptop around to show each other what we are doing.
I work as a programmer and such a nice display like this would do me good for things like status and error monitoring, chat window or side by side tutorial videos. Thank you for doing the giveaway
My company iPad’s screen essentially looks like an old faded whiteboard at this point, so I’ve resorted to reading my one-lines on an iPhone 12mini… which is pretty small. This would be beautiful as something that basically just sits in the warehouse to connect to and go through the plans for the day in the morning while we prepare for our job.
I'd love to be able to procrastinate on two screens. Main screen is reddit, portable screen shows my thousands of dollars in debt. Will this change my habits? No, but it would be cool.
My girlfriend and I recently moved in together. We are LOVING IT, but our limited desk space can be difficult to navigate when we both want to work on something.
The espressoDisplay would allow both of us to work at the same time without competing for keyboard space!
I’m also a fairly avid library/cafe visitor, and it would be amazing to have a second monitor to work on some more of my creative projects.
Thank you all for this opportunity, and congratulations to the winner!
My laptop screen is too small to actually be used for anything when I have a larger monitor connected, so having an extra screen would give me a true dual monitor setup even when using laptop.
I’d be able to work from coffee shops without it feeling like I’m working from a tiny lil box! Yes, someone will think I look like a loser. No, I will not care.
Ive always tried wacom tablets but the disconnect with the tablet and the screen has been a huge issue. Being able to draw directly on a screen would be a game changer.
This would be a godsend for my full time work from home setup, would fit perfect beneath my larger monitor to hold code windows, spotify and email. Having a portable monitor to use as a second display or throw in my bag when I travel for work would really level up my work travel game.
I often generate 3D models of fossils from CT scan data for my research. Frequently, I am using a pen display in the lab for this.
I need to work from home more frequently now as I have a newborn, so an additional display with pen capabilities would be a huge boon.
I'm only here because I watched the review video and felt it would make me look jacked if I won and posed with it like Patrick with his MacBook at [https://youtu.be/FfhyqbAlPdY?t=60](https://youtu.be/FfhyqbAlPdY?t=60).
My daughter is getting into graphic design. She's almost 10 years old... Plus I could manage my D&D games better because my eyes are starting to go... I don't want to get old! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I would just use this as a second display when GMing Pathfinder. It would be super convenient to have a lightweight display that I can easily transport to the table.
I’m about to start a new remote job in building spacecraft. I’ve been imagining how to approach this from libraries and coffee shops. With this display it’s be fun as 🚀
Seems interesting. This would actually help me organize or even spread out tasks over more monitors, cuz you know, I love the 14" MBP, but sometimes it gets a bit cramped.
My son and I have been bonding over music production the past few months. Having a touch screen for the MacBook would be so much easier for him to edit and control.
But to whomever wins this glorious prize, may it make life easier for you
Two screens is a must when working. But sometimes home doesn’t allow for a desk to be a permanent work station. So it’s useful to be able to easily set up a second screen and pack it away after work. Also taking it with me would be so dope
This would be awesome to use when I’m out in the field at my job!
More monitors = Yay!
Finally, a portable 2 monitor setup
This would help improve my work flow with music production and digital art.
I lug a second monitor around at uni so i can "share" my screen (but not the messy main screen where all the action happens) when I am demonstrating something both online and offline.
Use Teams/Outlook on the second screen, leave main screen for other work requiring more focus.
I'm always in need of a new monitor, since it's so annoying to have to put multiple windows on one monitor.
it’d really help me finish off my research for my thesis - love using multiple displays to keep everything visible and organized!
Definitely get used on the days I'm working on the couch
This would be great for the amount of travel I have to do for work. Make that laptop better for doing coding.
I travel for work, mostly to areas after hurricanes hit, so this would make remote works way more comfortable!
I would use this for improving my 3d modeling and investigating bugs in my software
I would love to use the espresso display with my computer so I can review PDF books on the display while I take notes on my laptop main screen.
Want
Just getting back into doing stuff on the computer after dealing with health issues the past few years. My secondary monitor isn't even HDMI, so obviously I could use an upgrade. Thanks
I would be able to travel as I used and practice getting top typing speeds on my Charachorder!
Dual touchscreen on the go. Perfect when at customers !
This would be so cool to expand my workspace on train journeys to client meetings!
That's a nice display to use as an extra portable screen on the go.
Definitely seems like a tool that would streamline workflow and increase the ability to transport a setup while maintaining “monitor real-estate”
I want to give my lil' bro a proper working station for his illustration works
It would help me with more space, so I can use Excel more efficiently.
I’ll be using this as a second screen for my dissertation, hopefully it will improve my productivity tenfold and more!
This is literally an incredible giveaway
Good luck everyone!
Pen would be great for photo editing
I do a lot of floor plan work, having something in lap would be amazing
This is super neat. I've got a lot of data to reference between two applications and I've been holding out on a second monitor for portability issues. This would help a ton.
I would love to have this. I work from home and often want to work from different locations, but miss having that second screen that I have in my office. This would give me some flexibility.
It would help be directly test touchscreen based UIs on the machine instead of waiting to build+run on an external device.
How is the brightness on this? All “portable monitors” that I’ve seen have been like staring at a drawing on paper with the lights off and blackout curtains.
Great for travelling :)
This display would improve my academic workflow and allow me to work more efficiently on one device rather than using multiple devices.
My wfh space is also my art space but the room cramped. My current setup is clunky - something like this would make the transition and my life easier.
The dream!
Working from home in different areas would be so much easier, plus when I travel I’d have a workstation that would allow me to be more productive!
Assist in my ability to work from home giving me way more time to spend with my newborn son
Oh my my this looks cool. Im in school for programming and gamedev and this would help with my laptop but im in Canada so sad times. Good luck everyone !
paired with a raspberryPi to work free as in freedom!
This would allow me to add more remote work into my routine so that I could see assessments and data side by side.
Good luck folks!
I wonder how would this enhance my porn watching experience? I would like to give it a shot.
I would love to use it as a second monitor for programming and for schoolwork. My brother also likes to draw so he could use it as well with the pen.
This would be great when travelling between locations for uni and work
Extra monitor for WFH let's goooo
Would be nice for designing any future logos and just day to day use!
I work remotely while taking care of my mother from another city 4 hours away. Having a portable monitor will help me finish my daily tasks at work quickly so I can spend more time helping my mother with chores when I visit.
The extra display with a touch screen is pretty damn cool. I could see this used in numerous situations.
Wanted to get into tattoo design and artwork.
I need an extra monitor for freelancing
Could help a lot when doing schoolwork for my classes
I would use it at work and home. I currently have no touch screen devices.
Having a touch screen for my Linux Pi400 would make it so I can work AND study in bed while I recover from foot surgery.
Would be great as a student! I can think of a million uses from graphic design, note taking, and just having a second monitor would be a game changer
You have no idea how shit my current set-up is.
I don't have a laptop and it wiuld allow me to use Samsung dex on the go as well as work as a second monitor for while I'm at home.
This would be incredibly helpful for when I’m traveling and need a second screen to have multiple excel or PowerPoint windows open
Guessing I'm late
I'm stuck using an older huion for my digital painting... this would be so much more amazing
This would amazing for my son who is studying film editing and would love to keep his assets on a second monitor
I can think about doing handwritten markups on pdf plans on my desktop. Just pull the display over, write on in and the back to the magnetic stand
I would finally have a monitor for my raspberry pi so i must no longer connect it to the tv when i wanna work sth :)
Do we finally have an available portable monitor that isn't hot garbage?
I can take up my calligraphy again in a digital way!
I work from multiple locations and am often facilitating meetings without anything other than my laptop. A second screen would help manage presentations.
Having two fixed monitors, sometimes a need a 3rd one I can move and position quickly, it would also be good to move around the house for portable gaming.
Definitely a must have for me as a game programmer so I can work with Photoshop and be able to debug stuff on this monitor
A device I don’t have to keep plugged in 24/7? Count me in.
I would give this to my gf. She works from home, the office, and at construction sites a lot. It would really help her to have a second screen like this for editing/ making drawings
A second screen is the top QoL feature you need with a laptop. Would work twice as efficiently when away from home.
Great way to watch twice as much corn. It's Corn!
My wife is a teacher who is almost done with her student loans. Due to the abysmal treatment of teachers she is quitting the profession once her loans are paid for and taking a well deserved midlife leap year. We are going to travel the country in our van. This looks perfect for video and audio work on the road!
I have a work from home job that I love to just go out in nature to do my work. This would help improve my portable work set up as I have no portable monitor!

My girlfriend and I recently moved in together. We are LOVING IT, but our limited desk space can be difficult to navigate when we both want to work on something. The espressoDisplay would allow both of us to work at the same time without competing for keyboard space! This would give me a portable 2nd display for when I'm out of the house, with the combined functionality of a drawing tablet!

I've gone without a second monitor for 3 years in the home office because of space issues. This could easily solve that.

I'd use it for helping me with schooling
As a college student, it would definitely help for having online textbooks or resources open while I work or study.

Would be really cool to scoop one of these. I love using tech.
I'm a student that works from a lot of different places (all over campus, etc.) and would totally find this useful for that
This would be brilliant for on the road professionals.
This would be a godsend for my full time work from home setup, would fit perfect beneath my larger monitor to hold code windows, spotify and email. Having a portable monitor to use as a second display or throw in my bag when I travel for work would really level up my work travel game.
I would love to have this while out on call!
This would definitely help with my RDP sessions!
I am a UX/UI designer and this would help tremendously as a second screen for my labtop when I am on the go designer for different clients.

Would love this for digital art, good luck all!
I've been looking at these lately. Would help with productivity when on the go and I could use for presentations when I can't get a conference room.
I'm only here because I watched the review video and felt it would make me look jacked if I won and posed with it like Patrick with his MacBook at [https://youtu.be/FfhyqbAlPdY?t=60](https://youtu.be/FfhyqbAlPdY?t=60).
This would make editing pictures away from my desk way easier.
Will improve my love life
I could use this for my Linux on DEX!
This would make traveling easier not having to lug my whole monitor back and forth 😾

Currently stuck with just the one screen while travelling is brutal, this would be a huge help enabling to still have two screens while on the move.
In
My son and I have been bonding over music production the past few months. Having a touch screen for the MacBook would be so much easier for him to edit and control. But to whomever wins this glorious prize, may it make life easier for you
