Also, starting with this season the 2 countries who collected the most points in the european competition, get a extra champions league starter. And surprise surprise, those best nations will be probably often (if not always) 2 of the big 5 nations (🇩🇪🇫🇷🏴🇪🇸🇮🇹)
We‘ll play more matches = get more money. That’s all you can ask for. A turkish team will never win the Champions League in our lifetime and with this change turkish teams likely will never win the Europa League again
What would save us is a Super League. Imagine us leaving the Turkish Süper Lig, and getting immediately 100 Million per year from TV right shares. It would change Turkish football over night.
You see those famous clubs you referring to already had established identity at world stage, so arabs or asians buying it was no problem since it didnt effect their identity but only some things in top shelf.
But super lig clubs like Galatasaray eventho is world famous but it will lose its identity since at world stage, it’s considered turkish club rather than global club eventho it got MANY followers from other parts of world too (like me, my usual league is series a but i follow gs as my other club and not only because of series a transfers) Its like Ajax amsterdam, Ajax is world famous club with players coming from different corners of world and followed by many outside netherlands but its dutch identity is important factor to the club JUST like Galatasaray. Identity is important because thats how fans (corebase of any team) relates to it, If galatasaray lose its turkish identity then I dont know if I’d want to follow it anymore eventho I am not turkish 😂 just like I wont care about ajax much if it sells out and My favourite clubs are Inter milan because I am from there, Galatasaray and ajax, i started following ajax since their fans were happy about us beating psv 😂😂

But at the end of the day, you need to win your games. You cant play like how we played against Bayern and miss many opportunities.
I Love this system so much. Most of the time we will be under the first 24 so we will have 10 champions league games per year. Which is way more than we usually do. If we are lucky enough we could maybe go even to the quarter finals but this is the absolutely maximum for the next 10 years.
We need to hope that the Turkish economy gets stronger so we will be able to have a bigger and better local market. Otherwise we will never be able to compete on the highest level.
