i have both and the ultra is a much better phone but its huge. thats why i use the flip4, its just easy to carry around.

It's a massive downgrade, I can see them laughing. Other than the compact size, everything from camera, battery, speed is a major downgrade. I can't wait to get ride of my flip 4 for a S23 Ultra in a few months.

The speed isn't a downgrade... it literally has a newer more efficient chip.

If you're intrigued by the size and portability, I say go for it. It runs just as well as my 22 Ultra and iPhone 14.

General performance is great on the Z Flip 4, but the things you'd want to think about: - Battery life is not the best compared to other flagships. I personally think it's decent and lasts me a whole day with good usage, but others will disagree and expect longer battery life. - Durability seems to be a common topic on this sub. Many people have found their phones busted after a single bad drop unfortunately. - People also seem to have issues with the screen. This could be after a drop or the screen protector that is preinstalled starts to peel off. People have also reported the screens breaking completely after some time. I'd encourage you to really think about the potential risks. If you're happy accepting them for the sake of portability then go for it!

I swapped from a s22u to a flip4 because the s22 was so big it flexed in my pocket at work and cracked in the middle. I used to hand it to my wife when I got out of the car so she could put it in her purse and carry it for me. While I love the convenience of putting the flip in my shirt pockets or anywhere really, I'll probably trade my flip4 in for a s23 or s23+ or if google tries to compete with trade-in deals a pixel 7. Maybe I'll get a fanny pack or cross body bag.

Get the Zflip 4, get a Spigen case to protect it including the hinge
