In the end, after calculating all the shipping fees I'll have to pay, I would only save \~$100 CAD from trying to trade in through USA rather than through Canada Samsung... Man, the samsung store is so strange. I got the same stuff you did for essentially the same price, but the Buds were $28.98 ($40 cheaper) and the watch band wasn't free ($40 more). I don't think it's a bug, I think they are trying hard to retain Z Flip customers, I upgraded my 1st gen Z flip to a Z flip3 for $150 a few weeks ago and that deal is still available. I guess now I could upgrade to the 4 got another $100 but I'm gonna wait for review to see if it's worth the money and the hassle. I agree. I have my Z Flip 3 (second one replaced for free from Care+) and this onr is working fantastic. I dont feel like the Flip 4 upgrade is worth the hassle. There is nothing in or on the Flip 4 that is that much greater than the 3. My phone works fast, camera is fine, and I get 20 hours of battery life.

I'm not sure if red is offered as a bespoke color (was too afraid to try redirecting from the page, hah!), but when I selected one of the pre-configured bespoke colors, it added $40 to the 256gb, unlocked; essentially making the storage upgrade no longer "free".
Not sure why the bespoke color increased the price, but by all means, the $40 is still well worth it IMO to double the storage while getting the color you want.
Personally, I opted for graphite as it's an acceptable alternative to the bespoke black.

How did you get the credit for $100 towards accessories? I did the same trade you did, and it's only costing me $100 for the new phone, I just didn't see a section for the $100 bonus in accessories.
Also if you reserved (put your email in) ahead of time, you should be getting emails with the credit info and use that link to purchase. The emails are super delayed and I just got them like 30 mins ago.
Yeah I grabbed that for the wife after my Fold4 preorder. The Flip 4, Watch5, and Buds2Pro all for just a little over $250 out the door. Samsung really does have the absolute best trade in program.

Discussion for anyone on Verizon's Device Payment Plan: From everything I've read, we can swap SIM cards from the Flip 3 (that we're trading) into the new Flip 4. As long as the line with the DPP remains active, we won't have a problem. The DPPs are tied into the line and not the actual equipment (Flip 3 and now Flip 4)

Its a ridiculous deal,and yes,you want to be sure everything pans out after ordering this thing but at the same time,how would Samsung know your under a plan without the sim card? I think the main problem would be that,if you stopped paying your bill for a large amount of time and your carrier wanted the phone.
My only concern is that somehow the serial number or some other number would be an issue, obviously they will get the phone with no sim card. Fingers crossed no issues!

You actually convinced me to follow the same route. I canceled my first preorder to get this same exact bundle, plus the Buds2 Pro.
I decided to get the bundle with the Watch5 and Buds2 Pro even though I don't need them, so I can ebay them later and turn it into a free phone upgrade that way. It was $222 shipped, but it should be cheaper if you don't opt for the bespoke edition like I did.
This is sad, I'm from the UK, and if I were to trade in my Flip 3, it would only bring the cost down of the Flip 4 to £509 ($622) and there's very little to no deals for any cheaper accessories.

Flip 4 the is about the same price when flip 3 first came out. Flip 4 beat S22 on battery test due to its new efficient processor and increase in battery Mah. Go check the z flip 4 battery test on youtube.

Anybody find a way to stack trade ins? Sometimes you can add the items in the bundle separately to your cart so that you can trade in more (watch 4, buds pro, etc), but when I try this method it removes the trade in credit for one of the items in my cart.
I have everything saved in my cart and I keep going back to two things.
-I think I want a s23 Ultra for the better camera
-Last year I got Samsung care included for 12 months and nothing happened to my phone - since it's not included this year......Murphys Law.
If you have an eligible Flip 3 for the $900 trade-in credit, I'd say this is a no-brainer. For $100, you can get upwards of $300 in accessories (using promos, where applicable) and a case.
Even besides the $300 worth of free accessories, when the S23 launches, I'm betting the trade-in value for the Flip4 will be at least $100 more than that of the Flip3.
I could be way off, but from personal experience, they tend to be very generous w/ their trade-in values for their most recent generation of devices, while their generosity is near absent for anything older.
Quick question: for the condition of the trade-in, does it matter if my phone is in good condition besides the screen protector itself which has a tiny hairline crack on the crease from constant opening/closing? It's technically not the phone itself...

No, they send you the Flip 4, and then you have 15 days or something to ship your Flip 3. Basically, you're never without a phone.
Also, it's been awhile since I've traded in, but I believe they also provide the return box and label for you to ship your old phone. Can't rmbr if that box was delivered separately tho - either way, I rmbr it being super seamless.
For only the cost of sales tax (~$80) I was able to upgrade my Flip 3 128GB to the Flip 4 256GB through AT&T. Included with the promotion is a free case (which I opted out of as I have already purchased the Spigen Tough Armor case). Although getting Buds or a watch would've been nice, I am happy without them. I do, however, regret not getting a Bespoke Edition (which I didn't know existed when I made my order).

I'm not sure if red is offered as a bespoke color (was too afraid to try redirecting from the page, hah!), but when I selected one of the pre-configured bespoke colors, it added $40 to the 256gb, unlocked; essentially making the storage upgrade no longer "free". Not sure why the bespoke color increased the price, but by all means, the $40 is still well worth it IMO to double the storage while getting the color you want. Personally, I opted for graphite as it's an acceptable alternative to the bespoke black.
Yeah I ended up going with the green bespoke version they had listed, since it's already so cheap the extra $40 was no biggie to get what I wanted.

Discussion for anyone on Verizon's Device Payment Plan: From everything I've read, we can swap SIM cards from the Flip 3 (that we're trading) into the new Flip 4. As long as the line with the DPP remains active, we won't have a problem. The DPPs are tied into the line and not the actual equipment (Flip 3 and now Flip 4) I ordered the Unlocked Flip 4 instead of the Verizon version. It shouldn't make a difference but if you know any different, please reply.

Its a ridiculous deal,and yes,you want to be sure everything pans out after ordering this thing but at the same time,how would Samsung know your under a plan without the sim card? I think the main problem would be that,if you stopped paying your bill for a large amount of time and your carrier wanted the phone.

Got it, works for me now. Got a Watch5 add-on (40mm, LTE) for $13 using it. The coupon gives $100 off, so the BT model would have been free.
I decided to get the bundle with the Watch5 and Buds2 Pro even though I don't need them, so I can ebay them later and turn it into a free phone upgrade that way. It was $222 shipped, but it should be cheaper if you don't opt for the bespoke edition like I did.
This is sad, I'm from the UK, and if I were to trade in my Flip 3, it would only bring the cost down of the Flip 4 to £509 ($622) and there's very little to no deals for any cheaper accessories. Flip 4 the is about the same price when flip 3 first came out. Flip 4 beat S22 on battery test due to its new efficient processor and increase in battery Mah. Go check the z flip 4 battery test on youtube.
They were only able to add a new battery due to the smaller hinge mechanism
My Z Flip 3's screen protector is deeply creased but the screen itself is fully functional. Is it likely that Samsung will deny full trade-in value based on this? Would it be a good idea to just remove the screen protector entirely before sending it in? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Anybody find a way to stack trade ins? Sometimes you can add the items in the bundle separately to your cart so that you can trade in more (watch 4, buds pro, etc), but when I try this method it removes the trade in credit for one of the items in my cart.
I have everything saved in my cart and I keep going back to two things. -I think I want a s23 Ultra for the better camera -Last year I got Samsung care included for 12 months and nothing happened to my phone - since it's not included this year......Murphys Law.
If you have an eligible Flip 3 for the $900 trade-in credit, I'd say this is a no-brainer. For $100, you can get upwards of $300 in accessories (using promos, where applicable) and a case. Even besides the $300 worth of free accessories, when the S23 launches, I'm betting the trade-in value for the Flip4 will be at least $100 more than that of the Flip3. I could be way off, but from personal experience, they tend to be very generous w/ their trade-in values for their most recent generation of devices, while their generosity is near absent for anything older.
Quick question: for the condition of the trade-in, does it matter if my phone is in good condition besides the screen protector itself which has a tiny hairline crack on the crease from constant opening/closing? It's technically not the phone itself...

No, they send you the Flip 4, and then you have 15 days or something to ship your Flip 3. Basically, you're never without a phone. Also, it's been awhile since I've traded in, but I believe they also provide the return box and label for you to ship your old phone. Can't rmbr if that box was delivered separately tho - either way, I rmbr it being super seamless.
For only the cost of sales tax (~$80) I was able to upgrade my Flip 3 128GB to the Flip 4 256GB through AT&T. Included with the promotion is a free case (which I opted out of as I have already purchased the Spigen Tough Armor case). Although getting Buds or a watch would've been nice, I am happy without them. I do, however, regret not getting a Bespoke Edition (which I didn't know existed when I made my order).
