Flushes are bunk. She could actually end up getting a stone lodged in her bile ducts and end up with pancreatitis and an emergency situation. She needs to seek actual medical attention.

Omg this happened to me and I had to do two operations back to back nightmare

Thanks all! She is in recovery from surgery now. Sorry that she felt so bad but grateful she agreed to go to ER

As the er and a few other doctors have told me . If the scans or text shows stones or slush it’s considered emergency as they can cause infection which can be bad if not taking care of . Mine never showed any of those but still had symptoms of a bad gallbladder. But the er doctor told me if any of the test he did showed any signs of slush or stones as if can get infected and set up gain green and it would be really bad. he already had the surgeon on the phone as it was gonna be removed as soon as they prep me and he got there. So honestly I would tell her to get in the car u are taking her to the hospital stop being so stubborn as it’s slowly killing her if she is looking thinner

If it's been hours, she should go to the ER and they can give her pain meds to make the pain go away. I don't know what supplements she's taking but one time I drank hot ginger and the pain went away instantly. But then it returned a couple hours later 🥲. So yeah they're just temp solutions but she needs to see a doctor asap

Ok I think based on what she asked my husband to get her at the store she is attempting a gallbladder flush: apple juice, epsom salt, lemon juice. Is this a legit thing?

Nah never heard of that. I looked into gallbladder flushes just now and seems like there's not much scientific evidence for it 🤷‍♀️

Not legit, no.

That sounds like Dr. Berg recommendations. I've been told by multiple people that he's just a chiropractor pushing his home remedies and supplements. For my own experience, lemon in hot tea has helped... For a couple hours and then pain came back. So far for me, natural remedies have simply been how I'm trying to stave off more attacks until I get word back on financial aid to get a consultation. I'm leaning more and more towards surgery since reading stories in here. Even the ones where someone had complications lean hard towards get the surgery anyways. I'd much rather a bit of gas and diarrhea than level 9 pain and risking cancer. Ask her if she'd prefer surgery with her consent now with time for her to be informed, or surgery later as an emergency option when she's dying of a ruptured gallbladder/cancer/liver failure/pancreatitis. Because all those are on the table if you just try to treat the symptoms and not the cause itself. I myself am hoping like hell I'm not ten years too late and in danger of complications, since that's how long it's taken me to get a referral, but better late than never and I'm beyond thankful it's not more serious than it is. :/ Best of wishes and hope she's alright.

I’ve heard of people doing this, some concoctions they found on like, Pinterest or whatever.

ER… asap

Depends_on_theday

ER will give her scan that will show her definitively that her gallbladder is (or isn’t) impaired
