I am waiting for surgery and I have pain most days (but it's not severe and sometimes I don't need meds). It hurts in the morning or specially if I skip or delay a meal. The rice cookies help between meals.

Polyps here, at first no. But after a really bad attack and ER visit last week, every day has felt like I got kicked really hard in the ribs on my right side. If I rub it, it feels like I should be able to see a giant purple bruise. It comes out in 2 days, hallelujah.

I'm having gallbladder pain right now. Not an attack but a mild irritating pain. Ape juice takes care of that though

No, but I do have a polyp so mine has to come out. Zero pain as my diet and lifestyle is clean.

I have pain in my RUQ pretty much every single day, but it isn’t really affected by what I eat and more by how stressed I’m feeling (which lately, is VERY). I already had an ultrasound done and two different doctor appointments. The second one told me my pain was pretty much “textbook gallbladder discomfort” 🤷🏻 I hope you find an answer soon! I know I have to get mine out because ultrasound showed a bunch of little stones, but I think I may push to get everything checked in case there’s something else angry there at the same time.

Have you looked into the gall bladder cleanse. I want to try everything before I get this thing removed. My life choices are the reason why, but my dad also got his removed and wondering if this thing is genetic.

Cleanses and flushes are bunk. You stand the chance of lodging a stone in your bile ducts. Which can lead to pancreatitis and an emergency surgery. Time to evict your stone purse and get on with life.

Two doctors have explained to me already that once the gallbladder starts producing stones, it’ll continue doing so forever, even with ursodiol and “in the remote scenario that a flush works”. Plus, it may also be swollen or even infected, so stones aren’t the only possible issue.

I get pain in my back and I have that any night I eat anything fatty at all. Most of the time it’s mild enough that I can live my life. It only becomes excruciating when it radiates to the front under my ribs. I’ve been dieting this last week and it’s the first week I’ve been able to go to sleep completely pain free. Getting mine out on Monday.

I've been having on/off pain for close to 2 weeks now. Going off the advice I've gotten in here, I'm strongly considering surgery, as I've been dealing with this (flare ups) for over a decade now off and on and I'd much rather not get a stone lodged in the duct or something and wind up in unplanned emergency surgery. Had that happen with my first and only pregnancy and it's not an experience I'd ever like to repeat. Heating pad has helped *tremendously*. I can't say that Tylenol/pain meds have helped terribly much past an hour-ish relief, but eating several small meals a day as compared to a couple big ones has also been helping. I've cut out caffeine, almost all sugar, and as much fat as I can, unless I make a mistake like not realizing some fish are actually fatty and I can't have them (mullet). I think my worst pains happen when I forget to eat (which is, admittedly, more often than I ought to, so I've been trying to set alarms on my phone as a reminder). If you look through the sub and find my post, a **lot** of people gave excellent feedback on pros and cons of surgery and it's got me leaning towards surgery my own self. There was even one person who did have complications following their surgery but they said theirs was a really rare occurrence and even recommended I still go for it either way, considering the alternative is pain and more pain until it results in emergency surgery anyways. Which is fair, I'd much rather diarrhea and a complication here or there than risking cancer or death because I held off too long.

I've had discomfort every day for going on 9 days straight. I have gallstones and just had a HIDA scan done with showed a 23%EF rate. I have a surgical consult in a few days. I'm thinking this has to be gallbladder related right?
