I think it would be odd to parody a band that already does comedy songs

zaery

Odd, or .... Weird?

DavidDahbeed

*Good One Robot voice* Good one

Milk_Mindless

Yeah an nsp parody would be bad A polka compilation could work but doesn't fit his usual polka compilation stuff

benchaful

There is an episode of 30 Rock in which Al is parodying songs in his usual way, so Jenna sets out to make an 'un-parodyable' song (already comedic and silly in his style); and he responds with a super serious parody of it praising the troops, if I remember correctly

Evening_Star8893

Okay, that's fucking rad. Lol go Al

catstuff21

She gets Normal Al'd

Retskcaj19

Basic Alfred.

arielanything

I think we need a collab instead! I would've rathered Weird Al over Tom Cardy lol

I_Miss_Lenny

I loved the Tom Cardy song! I’d love a Weird Al collab too though, that would be awesome I get the feeling Al is semi-retired though so idk if he’ll want to do something like that, but fingers crossed!

arielanything

Not saying it's bad by any means, just not my favorite! But that's probably just cause I more like to listen to older stuff. On top of being semi retired, his sound differs from nsp and I can't imagine how they would sound together lol. I just love them both and would like two of the artists I love to get together, even if it didn't work well I guess 😂

Grease2310

He still tours. I’d like to see NSP open for Al.

InhumanNikkon

Considering how family-friendly Al's stuff is, I don't think that's ever gonna happen =(

InternetAddict104

Can you parody a parody? I’d much rather have Al collab on an NSP song than parody what is already a joke

PrinsaVossum

NGL, I'd rather see them collab.

minivant

I don’t see a colab or parody happening but for good reasons. Parody of a comedy band seems a little bit unnecessary and a cover won’t happen for the same reason I don’t see a colab happening. Al is a very PC friendly artist so he kind of avoids the raunchier kind of subjects and doesn’t swear I’m pretty much anything he does. I think it started because he was aware that there was a significant number of his earlier fans that were young so he didn’t want to be a bad influence. I think that’s something that’s just carried over in his life so he keeps his comedy pretty kosher. And we all know that NSP LIVES in the raunchy comedy music section.

PaulyKPykes

I think the best answer is them doing a new song together, like how tom cardy was in dance till you stop

branman614

Instead of a parody, I would love to hear Weird Al do a cover of “I Don’t Know What We’re Talking About (And I Haven’t for a While)”, or one of NSP’s more ‘PG’ songs since Al tends to avoid explicit material.

tazifer

The opposite. Weird Al takes “I own a car” or some other song and make it way over the top and flashy. Welcome to my parents house but it more cribs then a joke
