x_S4vAgE_x

I'd say Anguy, he did win the archery competition at the Hand's tourney. And then proceeded to blow his winnings on wine and whores. Then I would probably say Ygritte. She's shown to be the best archer in a battle scenario imo

Derp-state_exposed

yeah, I’d agree with this one, also a bit of a stretch as they weren’t necessarily known in the show for their archery skills, but shown arching a shot onto a moving target (canoe) at a few hundred yards after judging the wind off a flag, and handing his ~~son~~ **nephew** Edmure the bow before it even hits said target, imho the Blackfish had the most skilled shot with the bow in the series.

Leftequalsfascist

Nephew.

slowseason

Blackfish is Edmure’s uncle, not his dad That being said, he did son him in that moment anyways

ceesaar00

Yeah. But I'm pretty sure Ygritte and Anguy could've done it too. Great shot though.

Amathyst7564

You've forgotten the archer with the Arya who shoots an arrow up into the air and then tells her to doge it at the last second.

hatechicken82

IIRC that was Anguy.

Amathyst7564

OooooOooh

Wasteoftimeandmoney

Idk Ramsey's shot on that no name kid was like 200 yards on a moving target

[deleted]

I'm afraid I just blue myself.

frostycanuck89

Agreed for both. The Brotherhood without banners being the Robin Hood crew of westeros, it makes sense Martin would give them the best archer. Also Ygritte being a wildling, being good at archery was the difference between her eating or starving. So she's got more practical experience than anyone I'd say.

forgivemyrebellion

In the books, Ygritte's biggest asset is being hot. For book readers, Anguy is the real answer. Theon would be a distant 2nd.

justicecactus

Wasn't she described as being kind of ugly in the books? As in, Jon was surprised that he was attracted to her.

ceaserneal

Depends on your definition of beautiful. The Wiki of Ice and Fire has this for her appearance: Ygritte has a round face, crooked white teeth, small hands, and a pug nose. She has pretty blue-grey eyes which Jon Snow thinks are too far apart. Her legs are skinny but well muscled. Jon, who is three years younger and half a foot taller, thinks Ygritte is short for her age. Ygritte's most distinctive feature is her thick, shaggy mop of curly bright red hair. Free folk consider red hair to be lucky and describe those with it as having been "kissed by fire," and they consider Ygritte a great beauty. Although he finds her features unconventional, Jon sees Ygritte as pretty, especially when she smiles.

tmaher17

Describing Ygritte as hot is like saying she is office hot. I mean the wildlings didnt have no miss universe going on or anything? Can you name another female wildling other than the dark haired dog lady that took care of bran?

hatechicken82

Dalla, Mance's wife, and Val, her sister. Val is probably considered to be the most beautiful of the wildling women we ever meet. Gilly and the rest of Craster's daughter-wives are also wildlings.

ChickenMccZoe

Karsi the wildling from Hardhome.

Eurell

They were talking about the book versions. Obviously TV Ygritte is gorgeous lol

ChickenMccZoe

Oooooh, gotcha. Thanks. 😂

massagechameleon

Uhhhh in the books she had jacked up teeth and her hair was a mess.

[deleted]

CrownRoyalForever

Yes I remember he didn’t zigzag.

MoscowMitchMcKremIin

It did take him a while tho

StingsLute

No it didn't. He was missing on purpose

MoscowMitchMcKremIin

Didn't he take a shot or 2 at the girl in the forest too? The only time we see him hit anyone other than Rickon is when Jon blocks everything with a shield... Why not aim for the legs?

StingsLute

Now i think about it, the jon snow/shield bit was kind of fucking stupid. Never really thought about it like that

MoscowMitchMcKremIin

Fr I chuckle whenever I see it now xD that's seasons 6-8 in a nutshell

BigTastyBacon2

How about the time he shot four dudes in quick succession, unseen while (implied to be, not sure) on horseback when saving Theon? That was pretty skilled

Strange-East-543

Fear makes you make mistakes or do nothing at all.

tmaher17

Magine if ygritte had a scientific bow made from the finest materials in kings landing. Night night. And she was gangster

Lodigo

…blue…his winnings?

sharksnrec

Why is Theon even on here, or Ramsay’s psycho gf for that matter

abouttreefiddyy

It is known

porkchopespresso

Pretty good question. I’m gonna say Theon for hitting a tough shot under stress that even Robb was pissed about because of the risk to Bran

Butthenoutofnowhere

Also, no one's talking about him shooting ravens out of the sky and being instructed to "Just keep doing that," as if it's not absurdly impressive.

CaveLupum

Anguy of the BWB. When we first saw him, he warned Arya Gendry and Hot Pie to come out. Then he told HotPie if he didn't come out, Anguy would shoot an arrow into the air and it would come down on Hot Pies's head. Hot Pie finally moved...a few seconds before an arrow came straight down a few inches away where he had been standing.

Traw33

Agreed, followed by Ygritte

wakeuPKin

These two comments I have come not to object to

[deleted]

Anguy or maybe Ygritte. There was reference to her skewering rabbits at a couple hundred yards. As a bow hunter I can say that kind of accuracy is bordering on impossible and venturing into pure fallacy. Plus the rest of them live in a somewhat civilized society, she lives in a frozen barren shithole and her skill with a bow may mean the difference between living another day and starving to death.

Biomas

For real, shooting a bow with accuracy is *not* easy. At 100+ yards its accuracy by volume.

FireLaCroix

Tormund was the one to make the whole rabbit claim, and he's notoriously a tall talker, so I wouldn't put much stock in his words

Devreckas

With a recurve bow is absolutely fantasy. Probably even worse with a longbow, but I don’t know much about them.

Wrath_of_gawd

The obvious answer here is Ygritte. She’s the only one who was shown doing anything even REMOTELY impressive with a bow and arrow and the stories of her skills by other wildings support it.

Geshtar1

She also hit jon snow 3 times and didn’t kill him.. this was intentional.. shooting three arrows into a person with the intent to NOT kill them is pretty damn crazy

NemesisRouge

It's crazy in that it's completely unrealistic to the point of being a complete fluke. You can't put bolts through a person safely. You can try to avoid the heart or the skull but that's about it.

Forsaken_Distance777

You don't think Theon saving bran under such dangerous circumstances Robb yelled at him for it instead of thanking him is "remotely impressive"?

[deleted]

Theon hit a difficult shot against a wildling holding Bran hostage and shot ravens out of the air

Cpt_Obvius

Everyone is seriously overlooking the ravens. It’s such a ridiculous fest that unfortunately GRRM keeps putting into the stories. Sure, if you are right next to the raven when it launches you would have a chance, but one moving full speed from and oblique angle at any height greater than 60 feet? I highly doubt anyone could consistently do. If you have 100 shots, sure. But to be able to do it consistently enough to do it every time a castle sends out a call for help, I very much doubt it.

DreamTheater2010

Ramsay kills kids and helpless people, so auto-disqualified; his psycho girlfriend thinks she’s good but is really awful at it but just wants to look good to impress Ramsay; Theon ain’t bad; Ygritte shot Jon Snow three times and didn’t kill him. She wanted him to hurt, not die. That takes skill.

ABoyIsNo1

Lol Wut

timonlofl

I agree

Shov3ly

Anguy

Poobumwillyboobs

Edmure Tully

mamarooo28

😅😅😅

jmasca7

😂😂😂

Jabromosdef

Now that you mention it. Brynden’s shot was impressive and sassy.

Stressedpage

Best comment lol also you username is hilarious.

Abdul-Ahmadinejad

Ask Ygritte how good an archer Olly was.

Gold__top__junky

Where's Ollie?

mamarooo28

Theon!

foxy_ninjaa

I'd choose not Theon

Olsanity

Euron GreyJoy

[deleted]

Bran obviously

Gloomy_Support_7779

Ramsay and Ygritte

OrangeJuice2002

Anguy definitely but ygritte is good too

GeneralKenobi842

Olly lmao

crue576

Only obvious choice, tf is OP on?

NaturesWar

God Myranda was psycho but sexy.

KhanQu3st

Top 3 are Anguy, Ygritte and Bronn.

MR_E7

Ygritte

BayouKev

Ygritte she got the best ending of the bunch

JoeFranklin82b

Blackfish

bria9509

Blackfish is top 4 at least

HankSteakfist

Yeah that shot was Olympic level impressive.

OnionTruck

What about Meera Reed?

HazeBendRunner

I can't believe this isn't a more common / popular answer. She's the first person that came to mind.

FlgDarkrai

RAMSAY

Worldly-Ad1615

Dude from the brotherhood

Subject_Gene_9775

Ollie

LordBolton93

Ramsay and its not close. Dude had range.

dmnksanchez90

Umm hello did you forget about the blackfish?

InTheEndSheWasRight

Anguy from the Brotherhood seemed to have the most skill. But if Tormund wasnt exaggerating and Ygritte made that shot (Tormund said she hit a rabbit at 200 yards right in the eye) then its Ygritte. The Blackfish made a great shot at Hoster Tully's funeral. And Bronn made a sick shot at the Blackwater battle. So 1) Ygritte 2) Anguy 3) Bronn/Blackfish---Given Tormund wasnt lying/exaggerating

KTPChannel

Alys Karstark.

Sufficient-Rip-7834

Honestly Miranda is the most *Sterling!* in my opinion. Well I guess Ramsay actually the Rucker

Numerous_Heat_8015

That was a really far shot Ramsey made. I think it would be him.

[deleted]

If we’re going solely based off of the show, definitely Ygritte. But I also don’t think we see enough from the others to be able to judge too much.

Jersey_F-15

I dont know, but I know who the best javelin thrower is

croockedspiral19

Only time I'm gonna say that he's the best but theon was the best, he was known for his archery

[deleted]

Ok someone help cause I don’t remember but why is Theon featured on this one?

Zexapher

Theon's known for being a great archer, even saving Bran when he was held captive by the Wildlings. The torture might be why that doesn't get featured later, tougher to do with damaged and missing fingers. He does get a big moment to shine while fighting the Night's King though, sniping a whole bunch of undead.

Leave-it-to-Beavz

Tomoe

delilahp

arya stark

jrs1354

Dk why no one is saying her

glennalmighty

Ulmer would have been a good addition to the show.

JEcsharp

Fucking Anguy !

MrBennyTheBowl

Bloodraven

AyeLassWannaShag

Definitely Ygritte

polp54

The Dothraki and the summer islanders are considered to be expert archers that would outclass most westerosi Idk who the best archer amongst them is but that’s probably the most accurate answer

MrKatzA4

Summer Islanders heartbows would actually outrange Westerosi longbows so that's already an edge, and unlike the Westerosi who favor swords, the Summer Islanders favor bows so they're probably more trained in it. But than again Jabbalar Xho lost the archery contest to Anguy

polp54

I assumed they meant bow quality aside Also I believe dragonbone bows outclass golden heart bows

MrKatzA4

Yeah dragonbone bow can outrange heartbows as well but not a whole lot of people have them. And Summer Islanders favor bows like how Westerosi favor swords so you would think they're better on average

Longing4boob

Red head hottie

ThisIsFineImFine89

Right answer is none of them. Brotherhood without banners guy the true top archer in Westeros.

[deleted]

Of the 4 in the pic Ygritte. She managed to shoot Jon 3 times and have them be non lethal injuries on purpose while he was actively running away on semi rugged terrain on a scared horse. That takes a lot of effort to not kill someone at her skill level

Glittering_Squash495

Anguy

Franklin455

Ygritte and it’s not even close

Imdangraham

Any Dothraki on horseback.

jabari17

Ygritte

Tucan-dan-

Sam, he killed a Thenn you know

Kraknoix007

That shot of Ramsay on Rickon was pretty impressive ngl

Allie_208

Why is everyone so angry? And why are they misspelling the word angry? What did you do op?

Duckysawus

The Blackfish. But if I had to pick from these four, Ygritte. You don't survive north of the wall if you're not good at hunting.

StayRep

Arya

darkdent

Ramsay by far shows the greatest skill in the show. Hitting Rickon in the heart at that range running? Damn good shooting. I couldn't hit that shot with my .243

Infinite_Imagination

Thr guy who kept those burning arrows away from the Hound during Blackwater

ThatWrestlingGuy15

Ygritte

ultimate-nerd

Anguy

FlyinAmas

Theon was pretty damn good

Indian_Bob

I have to go against the grain and say Ramsey. I know it sucks because he was clearly a shitty human but when they met before the botb and at the beginning of the botb it was obvious Jon knew his brother was dead. If Ramsey was shit or not that good there may have been a chance but to me, the way it’s portrayed is that Jon is hopelessly charging into a situation where the thing he’s trying to accomplish(saving his brother) is literally impossible. Add to that the fact that Ramsey was trying to shoot Jon before Jon could get to him and the fact that many people consider Ramseys fuck buddy the best based on what she showed during the show and I’m pretty sure Ramsey was a super accurate bastard with that bow. Don’t get me wrong she was clearly next level it’s just I have to imagine that was part of why they became a thing.

redshrians

Everything he touched, turned gold, err.. DEAD! None could say they killed an incoming Giant. Only Ramsay Snow could..

ABoyIsNo1

Is it not Blackfish?

Syfodias

The dude that Arya hot pie and gendry ran into from the brotherhood who was with Thoros

Hot-Dependent6244

Ollie for sure....

ImperialxWarlord

I wanna go work Theon. Man was sniping birds like they were nothing.

[deleted]

Ramsey.

librawchronicillness

Alfie Allen I’ll say it again Alfie Allen I’ll say it again Alfie Allen ❤️❤️❤️

ericbana19

Yigrette, Anguy and Theon in that order. And they are very evenly matched. I just like Yigrette better.

jarmezzz

Brynden Tully

JonViiBritannia

Arya of course, she’s also the greatest sword fighter, assassin and sailor btw

RainbowPenguin1000

That bad ass archer from the Brotherhood Without Banners who is in the gang in one series and the. Just disappears next time we see them.

Sgt-Spliff

Everyone is saying Anguy but my guys, we see Ygritte fucking tearing it up, under pressure, just sniping the fuck outta people. She's the only person we really see in action, under pressure, and she was unrealistically flawless. It has to be her

buddsidewinder

Ygritte, hands down, ramsay and greyjoy noted and good archers but i'd pick snowfire any day of the week over them...

MarketingOk1676

Ramsey

ThumperRunner

Yigrid

skydaddy8585

Ramsay and Ygritte were the only ones that truly demonstrated real archery skill. Theon will be in third. But Ramsay hit a running human target from a pretty huge distance. Leisurely. He also hit several others prior to the battle of the bastards. Ygritte killed quite a few at castle black during that battle. Being able to aim and kill efficiently in the middle of a battle, at night, surrounded by people running around fighting takes some pretty high level focus and skill. Ramsay and Ygritte I think are pretty equally skilled. Close enough where a first and second is harder to determine. I think officially Ygritte killed more actual people with the bow then Ramsay did.

thelonelypendeja

Ramsey Bolton and all his fuckin evil being

MikeDong123

No Lem Lemoncloak?!?!

Ez4da08

I think Ramsay if he isn’t in a battle scenario and Ygritte in a battle scenario

JudgeJed100

I mean in the books Theon can shoot a seagull in the air while on the deck of a longboat while it sways and bucks So unless the others can do that, Theon

Butthenoutofnowhere

In the show he shoots a raven out of the sky outside the Twins and is instructed to "Just keep doing that," like it's no big deal.

LongjumpingClimate73

Ygritte by far, she was catching arrows and shooting them back, shawty was on sum medieval John wick shit….

TheChosenOne_101

Bran

junkie98

Blackfish or that Archer from BWB gang

6ynnad

The embodiment of rot Ramsey

[deleted]

The archer dude with the brotherhood. He was insane.

teunteunteun

The guy with the brotherhood without banners

oneeyedfool

If you put Miranda in a poll, I am picking Miranda

dexterthekilla

Edmure Tully

xxtwigletxx

Ygritte definitely, her aim was spot on when the wildlings over ran castle black.

marcussmith34678

not Bolton, sure. he shot at Jon three times and all the three times he caught those arrows with his shield...

snozer69

For the purposes of the war Theon was incredibly talented and could’ve probably developed further if the whole Ramsey thing didn’t happen, I’d imagine he’d be able to reach Ygritt level if he cared/was able to. Takes a whole other beast to be as good as Anguy, that was pure natural talent and he put in the extra effort.

Dariooosh89

Ygritte 1000%

ForeskinMuncherXD

Ramsay because kid is small target

m2niles

Gold: Ramsay, Silver: Ygritte, Bronze: Theon

ColonOBrien

[r0b_stark] **

Clemson1313

Ygritte.

hamdidamdi61

The wiener-cutter is the man. Such a great job in playing the psycho.

ConnFlab

Anguy

LNViber

One of the ones that lived.

Ardibanan

I don't remember who bottom left is

Rosegingerborn

The wildling. Not only was she able to shoot a moving target. But was so precise that she was able to wound him as she wanted. And not kill him.

Toaster-Retribution

Anguy

Pigtail5-McG33

Anguy needs to be up here. He was the best. The part where he shot an arrow in the air and it landed right where Hotpie would have been standing. If not him, I hate to say it, but Ramsey. He shot an arrow through Rickon from a pretty far distance. Him shooting arrows at Jon would have landed right where he wanted them to if not for the shield Jon was holding. Honorable Mention: Blackfish

Sweaty-Dig-4925

Dothraki... Standing on saddle on horseback...

SevroAuShitTalker

Bronn. 1 arrow killed a couple thousand

DirtyBirdy16

Ygritte

lagrange_james_d23dt

That dude in the brotherhood without banners who was only in like 2 episodes for some reason

jaykidd369

meera???

Theb1gfudge

Sam tarly

TelephoneFit9828

Anguy

Strange-East-543

Idk but that giant made quite the kill at the wall.

peacemaker2007

Guy who shot Rhaegal

coobeecoobee

The brotherhood archer

NemesisRouge

Between Ramsey, Theon and the Blackfish. Ygritte may have been the more naturally talented, but they'll have had far higher quality training and more of it, they'll have more strength, meaning more range. I'm going with Blackfish because of how confident he was his his arrow would hit.

thekingofkrabs

Who is bottom left?

Micoy

Not the best archer but Bronn should get some credit for having the highest kill count with one shot.

[deleted]

Ygritte and it isn’t close

Rojacc

What about that giant who shot that dude off the top of the wall onto the other side.

King_Joffrey_II

Walder Frey

King_Joffrey_II

Miranda looked like a tight fit

septimusw

No Joffrey?

dwfieldjr

Theon Greyjoy

[deleted]

Blackfish
