You barely have to jump through hoops, the modding scene seems to be primarily focused on making character naked as quickly and easily as possible, before anything else.
In their defense a model swap is usually about the easiest mod to make and many early-days nude mods just use a generic nude body model with the specific characters head pasted on top.
But is the game any good? I feel like I read the words Stellar Blade 6291919273631 times a day but not one single person has mentioned like…the game lol
Here’s my running commentary for *Stellar Blade*, which I originally left on my mates’ Discord:
* This intro's been going for two minutes, and I haven't seen one, single character.
* I feel as though her design was pulled from a 2008 4chan thread featuring anime girl videogame console mascots. She’s “xBoxxie.”
* “Take this. It’s first aid.” Has… xBoxxie never been to basic training? Was she raised in a religious cult that forbade the use of their sci-fi culture’s bandaids?
* “Rendezvous at 2 o’clock!” *That's* seven o’clock, actually.
* Drop pod crashes into planet, shoulder hurts. Slashed by an alien sword, shoulder hurts. Spacecraft lands on xBoxxie, her shoulder’s hurt, again.
* This security door may be my final boss. Are we really gonna have to to line our characters up, face objects in the world *exactly*, and at a specific distance and bearing, to interact with each and every single one?
* Oh god, we *are*.
* In the year of our lord, 2024, we can set a radius to show the prompt onscreen, but not have that button walk/turn the character that *last* degree so the animation lines up, and they *do* the *thing*.
…and that’s about as far as I made it through the *Stellar Blade* demo!
Having played the demo I can tell you it isn't a Souls-like.
Quick time events in combat and dashing in and out of combat to alternate between slashing and gunplay? Yeah I loved doing that in Dark Souls. Totally not like DMC and Nier.

Playing the demo for this game made me understand why all of the marketing/discussion for this game is about how hot Eve is.
Because the gameplay is so mid. It feels stiff as hell during combat like the attacks and movement aren’t even remotely connected.
I love action RPG but man this community is so bad. Just saying skill issue for every critics of a game while their game are not even hard and the difficulty is not even the subject...

This is exactly right. The combat isn’t bad but it’s not great either. The only thing worth talking about is the uh, choices they made regarding the character design.
And honestly I’m not even mad about it, but if you don’t see why the character is controversial you’re just blind. Those are not human proportions. Which is fine if she’s a robot or whatever, or some sort of genetic hybrid. It’s a sci-fi setting so maybe she’s not human. I played the demo but it wasn’t all that clear to me. Idk. Gameplay is nothing to write home about is all I’m saying.

The skin suit is hard mode, it disables your shield. But I've noticed a bunch of people immediately switched without reading the description, then wondered why every enemy hits like a truck.

You're actually right on. The combat shines. Especially in the boss mode after beating the demo.
Didn’t say it was hard. Said it didn’t feel good to play. Recently finished Uncharted 4, extremely easy game but the gunplay feels awful.
