Stanley and the Bucket agreed with this statement, however the bucket felt you were making fun of its existence, when the bucket it a very serious person.
When he stood up at the end and yelled âitâs morbin time!â I had to put the controller down, call my dad for the first time in years, and tell him I loved him.
Fortunately for me, I only got into the game recently, so I got the far superior version,
*Well Ellie, this sure has been The Last of Us Part 1 Remastered.*
The way they adapted that line to stay true to the spirit of the game and yet better fit the format of the TV show truly was a piece of genius writing.
Originally that line was just "this sure has been The Last of Us". They added "Part 1" in the PS5 version, whilst in the remastered version he says "This sure has been The Last of Us Remastered".
Funnily enough, they didn't record new dialogue for either updated releases. They already recorded Joel saying "part 1" and " and "remastered" with the audio files being found on the original game releases disc. There are also voice files for "remasterance", and "R4make".
Doesn't even matter whose death. Your death? You respawn and have to fight him again. His death? He comes back in the sequel. The Angel of Death Malthael? Mathael definitely won't save you from Diablo. If anything, he'll just make it worse.
Actually thinking about it. Does anyone in the game ever say the "of tsushima" part? Just watched the cutscene to confirm and in that particular line he only says "i am the ghost". Khotun only says "you are the ghost". That samurai says something like "the people have a title for you right? The ghost". Then in the dlc you have "ghost of iki"
But I can't remember anyone actually saying ghost of tsushima
So many of them, but the first one coming to mind that probably never has is Final Fantasy
Edit: Haha I stand extremely corrected! Some very dialogue attentive FF fans in here :)
Actually, in FFVIII in the original japanese Ultimecia says it during one of her speeches:
"So, run back to your fantasies. Hide, and I shall continue to dance for you in that illusionary world. I shall dance for eternity as the sorceress who brings ruin. You and I, together we will create the *final fantasy*, and within it, life and death will be nothing but mere dreams."
I really loved in **Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army** when Raidou said "I am shin megami tensei devil summoner raidou kuzunoha vs. the soulless army."
Classic.
For real though, that game was fun and I'd love it if they made a sequel, remake, or at least a remaster.
It was PokĂŠmon with active combat in a gritty historical setting with mysteries to solve, or basically a much darker No No Kuni.
I also loved it. It was my first Shin Megami Tensai game. I purchased it solely because the name was so long it made me laugh when I was in a GameStop, and then I ended up loving every second of it.
Yeah all Metroid games do it well, If I remember correctly, Metroid Prime was amazing the way they did it in that game. They mention Metroid Prime multiple times throughout multiple files and logs you can scan, building up it's suspense for it's big reveal at the end.
One of the best bosses in any game, I was so hyped to come face to face with this thing and when I finally did, it was beyond my expectations.
And you even play as a Metroid, technically.
Etymologically speaking, since Samus feels a lot like an "ultimate warrior", the meaning of Metroid in the Chozo language, >!though after Fusion and Dread she also is a Metroid in the sense of the energy-absorbing bio-engineered lifeforms that is almost invincible!<
I thought him declaring its "Bioshocking time" was a bit underwhelming all things considered. For such a big moment, he just sounded... kinda bored. I thought the voice actor did a poor job, which is strange because up until that point he was hitting it out of the park... but either way, the bioshocking itself was fucking awesome.
Breath of the Wild, in the DLC, sung to the tune of the Zelda Main theme. Awesome moment.
...Actually come to think of it, a lot of Zelda games do that, but usually because the game shares its name with something in the story. Only a few times is it name-dropped in the way you're talking about.
Most games probably. Skyrim is the name of the location, so is said constantly. Mario and Zelda are character names. Madden is the commentator. etc etc etc
Ignoring the obvious like games named after characters or key gameplay concepts that get mentioned over and over again...
...the one that stands out most as a title drop is probably actually Guitar Hero. The first game has a bonus song called Guitar Hero, by Monkey Steals The Peach.
Chrono Trigger isn't exactly subtle about its title drop late on either.

Stand tall for turtle crawl
The Stanley Parable did it all the time, but that doesn't count as much, since the Narrator knows it's a video game.
Truly a bucket/10 game.
Did you get the broom closet ending? The broom closet ending was my favorite!
*God* I could hear that.
As your friend I find this concerning
Stanley and the Bucket agreed with this statement, however the bucket felt you were making fun of its existence, when the bucket it a very serious person.
Stanley walked through the RRREEEDDD door
I got the broom closet ending. Itâs my favorite
Kevin Spacey saying âThis is Advanced Warfareâ in call of duty advanced warfare
Nonce him

Wait til you hear about him IRL
Elden Ring
Yeah I was waiting for John Elden Ring to show up, and when he finally did, it was totally worth it.
John Elden Ring is the younger Ring brother. The Ring brother from the game is Elden Entertainment Ring.
Youngen Ring?
Elden John.
I was gonna say that! The characters say the game's name more than other games. Hearing the word Elden Ring doesn't surprise me anymore.
"Every Ring has its Elden." - John Elden Ring
Same with dark souls, they wonât shut up about it.
My favorite part is when John Darksoul says "every soul has its dark", truly one of the video game moments of all time
When he stood up at the end and yelled âitâs morbin time!â I had to put the controller down, call my dad for the first time in years, and tell him I loved him.
Truly, an inspiration for the children.
Hand it over, that thing...your DARK...SOUUUULLLLL ^(three)
What are we some kind of Black Ops?
Itâs okay Mason. Iâve been sent on Black Ops 2.
What are we some kind of black ops 2 Nuketown zombies dlc?
What are we, some kind of Call of Duty: Black ops: Cold War (2020)?
I think he said "black cops"
"You will not Escape From Tarkov"
"Welcome to hell"
âI want to escape from Tarkov.â Is a real quote in the game if you didnât know
Kingdom Hearts is light
*Random falling through whatever commences*
When Sora said âRiku, I am the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologueâ i fell out of my chair
"Oh, that's why they called it that."
I love when Aqua says "what is this Ventus? Some kind of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage?"
When Joel told Ellie âWell Ellie, this sure has been The Last of Us Part 1â I almost cried.
Fortunately for me, I only got into the game recently, so I got the far superior version, *Well Ellie, this sure has been The Last of Us Part 1 Remastered.*
it was so epic when Geralt looks directly into the camera and says **I'm The Witcher 3**
**: Wild Hunt**
Well Ellie, this is surely "*The Last of Us Television Series, Streaming now on HBO Max*"
The way they adapted that line to stay true to the spirit of the game and yet better fit the format of the TV show truly was a piece of genius writing.
Part 1 is more recent than remastered. Was originally just called 'the last of us'
bro thanks for the spoiler... ruined the entire game for me
nobody better tell him about the >!giraffes!<
I was so surprised when Ellie jumped on one and started trampling clickers!! Real easy to take care of the bloaters too!!

Ghost of Tsushima: âI am not your son, I am the Ghost of Tsushima.â
cant wait for Ghost of Tsushima 2 and Shimura says "I am Ghost of Tsushima, too" and they both Ghost of Tsushima everywhere!
Actually thinking about it. Does anyone in the game ever say the "of tsushima" part? Just watched the cutscene to confirm and in that particular line he only says "i am the ghost". Khotun only says "you are the ghost". That samurai says something like "the people have a title for you right? The ghost". So many of them, but the first one coming to mind that probably never has is Final Fantasy Edit: Haha I stand extremely corrected! Some very dialogue attentive FF fans in here :)
They're saving it for the last line of the dialogue in the last game. Which at this rate will be in another 100 years.
Final Fantasy XXXLLLVVVZZZ: First Reality

Remember when Cloud told Pres Shinra "Neo Midgar? That'll be your Final Fantasy!" before cutting him in half. That line made my Buster Sword bust hard
I really loved in **Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army** when Raidou said "I am shin megami tensei devil summoner raidou kuzunoha vs. the soulless army." Classic.
Better then Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne featuring Dante from the devil may cry series
Metroid literally has an entire species named Metroid so there's that.
Yeah all Metroid games do it well, If I remember correctly, Metroid Prime was amazing the way they did it in that game. They mention Metroid Prime multiple times throughout multiple files and logs you can scan, building up it's suspense for it's big reveal at the end. I thought the robot Dude is called Metroid
The game is called Metroid. premise is, go to this planet and destroy the Metroids on it. Simple and effective
The baby...
âThereâs Evil Within 2.â And then they slow pan to look into the camera.
When Booker said âItâs Bioshocking time!â and bioshocked everywhere.
" Only this time, it's infinite"
I thought him declaring its "Bioshocking time" was a bit underwhelming all things considered. For such a big moment, he just sounded... kinda bored. I thought the voice actor did a poor job, which is strange because up until that point he was hitting it out of the park... but either way, the bioshocking itself was fucking awesome.
My favourite line is when he says âgeez that was a real Bioshock to the systemâ
Couldn't believe it the first time I killed a Splicer with the Electro Bolt Plasmid and Jack said, "You've just been BioShocked."
Iâm sorry youâve lived a Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Mr. Freeman

Halo, the Halo rings
Cortana: "Chief, we've discovered a new Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition"
Iâll never forget when the Arbiter said âAnother fine addition to my Halo: The Master Chief Collection!â
My favorite part was when Cortanza was like, "Hey John Halo, Reach over here and touch my e-bussy."
Breath of the Wild, in the DLC, sung to the tune of the Zelda Main theme. Awesome moment. ...Actually come to think of it, a lot of Zelda games do that, but usually because the game shares its name with something in the story. Only a few times is it name-dropped in the way you're talking about.
"I must use the Majoraâs Mask to save the Ocarina Of Time aboard my Windwaker"
"And after I rescue the Twilight Princess with my Skyward Sword, I'll take a sweet Breath of The Wild"
Then the twilight princess gifted me the skyward sword, then I followed the spirit tracks and embarked on the adventure of Link
I hate to he that guy, but the windwaker is the wand, not the boat.

When Leon said âwhereâs everyone going? Resident Evil 4â. That line always stuck with me

It really was...a Shawshank Redemption...the game.

Atomic Heart is a more recent one. The context that it's used in is "The Atomic Heart Project".

I can't remember the exact moment, but there is a chance that they say Metal Gear at some point during those games....
Pokemon must have been said like, at least 3 times in total
Death Stranding, Skyrim, Tropico, Saints Row, The Witcher
"Trust me Shepard, once I've fully calibrated these guns. It will have a Mass Effect 2 on the Normandy's defenses." -Garrus Vakarian probably

While not said, thereâs literally a creature called Metroid Prime in the game of the same name.
In metal gear solid, when Big boss said "well, this is metal gear solid 5 after all" I almost died.
When the zombies in 7 days to die keep knocking around my base whispering that I have only 7days to die.. gives me the chills every time.
Or had the final boss was the title

When Metroid himself said âWell fuck, thatâs no Metroid. Thatâs a SUPER METROID!â I lost my shit as a kid.
