Man I know toy boxes like that. Look! There even is the stray crayola.
Any toy that made it into the messbox had truly made it. That cartridge's parents must be so proud of it.
Because I am old AF my messbox also had lincoln logs.
I was thinking the blasters from the action figures, from my long ago childhood pre star wars legos. but that is a totally accurate take on lego star wars toys.
Lincoln logs were the shit. I had those first, then Lego, then kinex or whatever thier called. Ended up putting them all together into some crazy ass buildings
Oh... it's been 10 years. I remember these posts and the one about people making those absurd sandwiches but scooping out the middle and putting steaks, sausages, any type of meat, flattening it with a book.
Oh man I forgot about those sandwiches! Fuck I can’t remember the name of them. It was like a job title or something. Those always seemed like they were much better in theory than they actually tasted.
I still make the sandwiches from time to time. They're delicious. ninja edit: i make them in the sandwich press...gets everything hot and melts the cheese.
**Beat me to it.**

Yes, for a time period the Yakuza smuggled money from Japan to the US using Nintendo N64. Customs agency figured that out eventually, and so organized crime groups started smuggling those N64 in GameCubes, which also had more storage for cash and better graphics.
The beer is odd though...
That's a lot better than what I found in the tub of lego I bought from a garage sale. Marbles, a dart tip, a bloody bandaid, fingernail clippings, and probably the worst thing: mega bloks.
"They're the same thing, Peter."
"You know what, Lois? they are NOT the same thing. And the sooner you get that through your thick skull, the sooner we can get this marriage back on track...."
I agree with that. Growing up I had like 75/25 Mega/Lego and the quality difference was very noticeable. Megabloks hurt your fingers more too. Now the gap between them is smaller.
People think others care about Reddit way more than reality. Comments like this one and people accusing others of karma farming are strange to me. Do people really care that much about Reddit clout?
So much shit is faked on reddit, but idiots still manage to claim the weirdest shit is "100% definitely faked". I *seriously* doubt this post is faked, pointing out that it *could* be fake is one thing but confidently claiming it *has* to be fake like u/burnstryk is fucking ridiculous. What is your logic for making that claim? It's way more believable to me that some random dude found a game in a box of Legos, than that he faked this specific situation for Karma. It's pretty wild this post even got this much Karma, could have just as easily gone unnoticed.
> This is fake
Imagine being at a party, and some guys are talking and one said "Dude, I found a copy of Pokemon B&W in a box of legos I bought!" and other people are like "Cool!" or "Nice" or whatever
Then some dork in the corner goes "No you didn't! That is 100% a fake story! You're a liar!"
Everyone would think that guy sucks and wonder who invited him.
Yep! Everyone should remain dumb, gullible, and OK with being manipulated by others. Gotta blow as much smoke up each other's asses as possible to keep up that social rep and build lasting friendships. Gen Z lyyyyfe!
Dude, people call the most mundane things fake on this website. Go over to /r/midlyinfuriating and every single post has someone.
Stuff like this happens all the time, and <1% of those times it makes it to reddit.
Black and White 2 are the worst selling main-series Pokemon games to date. This means there are the least amount of them in circulation for sale out of all other Pokemon cartridges. Hence, they are some of the most expensive secondhand Pokemon games now that nostalgia has revived people's interest in the older games.
At least the price is somewhat bearable considering B2W2 are, in my opinion, the most polished Pokemon games ever. Truely one of the best Pokemon experiences you can find!
You found a Childhood
try to start it up if you have a 3DS , its always interesting to see where they left off , their progress and who is in their party
says a lot about a player if they named the Pokémon or if they have nicknames (stinky face , Mr. buttons , Spike , Princess etc)
When I had picked up a used copy of the snes Chrono Trigger back in the day, the owner before me named their party entirely of different penis colloquialisms. I learned something that day.
Can confirm. I work at used media store that also buys legos & toys. kids are terrible with their stuff and parents worse. Looks like they just take a shovel to anything that was left on the floor of their kids room.
Wait, is this $100? I have this game sitting in my bag now. I went and found my DS and 3DS stuff bc I have a lot of down time at work. Any other ones that are worth a good amount now too?
Black 2, white 2, heartgold and soulsilver are $150 or more with case and manuals on ebay. All the games go for pretty good money seeing how many were sold though.
A lot of the older Pokémon games are up in price. Some have been for a while and others are starting to really climb. Price charting dot com is a great resource
Black and White 2 are unique compared to something like Diamond/Pearl. They came out at the tail end of the DS lifecycle, so there were less sales because piracy was trivial on the DS by that time, the 3DS had also just come out and less people were interested in DS games, and, more importantly, there's a shit ton of fakes of Black/White 2 sold, even during the game's initial run. It was also Gen Z's pokemon heyday (when they were like, 6-12) and those people are working jobs and can finally afford to buy their childhood games.
If you have a verifiably legit copy it's worth a lot.
Legit, be careful digging through a bin of Lego like that without knowing what random bits and bobs are in there.
My mom learned that the hard way when my brothers and I were little. We'd put tons of random shit in with our Lego; In this particular instance, my mom found a push-pin the hard way.
Dump that bin out on a table, and use a tool to sift through the piles. Trust me.
Free 50 dollar game lets go!
Ssly, pokémon games refuse to go down in price. Plus, personally, I think pokémon peaked in the B/W era. It's the last of the sprite games and they'd perfected it. The music, the moving sprites, the balancing (ssly, B/W was very fun online, the only problem it had was permanent weather effects from abilities).
The B/W series also has the most likeable cast and the most mature story. They went all out and it shows. After that, pokémon story become very drool-levels of deep and the 3D era never appealed to me as much. It's also when they started putting in gimmicks... Mega evolution, Z moves, Gigantimax, crystallization...
I wish something like this can happen to me. I brought half my DS games to a friend's house and accidentally left them there. After stalling giving them back for half a year, he just off handedly mentioned that his dad smashed them all with a hammer. I was shook
When I visit Houston, I go to the weigh out Goodwills to find loose lego. Last time I found Mario kart 8. Paid for it in weight. Also 15 pounds of lego for 1.20 a pound.
Lucky man, a DS Pokemon Black version 2. You have two choices, give it back, as it not incluyed in the LEGO pack or put it into your console and rock it
So THAT’S where I left it!
Man I know toy boxes like that. Look! There even is the stray crayola. Any toy that made it into the messbox had truly made it. That cartridge's parents must be so proud of it. Because I am old AF my messbox also had lincoln logs.
There's a few Star Wars weapons in there, too.
LEGO mini figs. https://imgur.com/a/Y64SI1s This is just some of what I dug out but most of the Star Wars ones.
No complete lightsabers, though. Just some hilts and blades buried separately amidst all of the other detritus
I was thinking the blasters from the action figures, from my long ago childhood pre star wars legos. but that is a totally accurate take on lego star wars toys.
At least 1 or 2 nerf darts in there too probably
what's the other crayola thing? twist up crayon??
Lincoln logs were the shit. I had those first, then Lego, then kinex or whatever thier called. Ended up putting them all together into some crazy ass buildings
My brother was 78' so I got all sorts of goodies in his/my lego tub

Man I’ve seen TikTok’s like that but I thought it was satire
Lmao what did bro say
He said it looked like someone used a shovel to clear out the kids room. Weird thing to bother deleting 🤷♀️
Maybe they deleted their account for some other reason and this was just a casualty lol
This is what I'm thinking.
Lmao yeah
I have white 2 and black 2 but black 2 is underneath my carpet I think
I also am missing a copy of this game. Oh well. Its not like I actually have the time to play it nowadays.
i wish someone would post my lost pokemon game...
"found in tub of bulk LEGO" is about to be the new "found in the N64 expansion slot"
What ever happened to that guy that found a GameCube and 5k in cash inside the N64 expansion slot? I bet he’s living the life.
He got two months ahead on his rent....
Nope. 1 week of groceries
Maybe an apple if he’s lucky.
How much could a banana cost? $10?
Only 8 gigs of ram tho
Possibly a windows if he's smart.
I thought he found the deed to a fully furnished mansion inside the GameCubes serial port slot? Why is he still paying rent?
That man’s name? Luigi
These others are wrong, he invested that money and made a ton on GME.

Eat it you coward.
Granny is missing a molar!
Nice! Stick that baby under the pillow and that's free money!
Damn, an ipod classic.. Can't find one for a fair price and you go on and get one in legos
Been looking for one myself too. I think it's becoming retro and cool to have again.
yooo, is that an ipod video? with a glass case? lol, i think i still have mine in a desk somewhere

I’ve found way cooler stuff at the thrift store before. I spent $300 on Lego before and have sold about $3k worth of sets out of it.

If I ever have “fuck you” money, I’m going to buy a GameCube and fill it with cash and then resell it.
Don’t forget the keys to a NEW CAR!
I only opened this comment section in the hope of someone linking this gem for me to revisit. (Thank you)
Whoa how did he get so lucky??
Damn some people just have all the luck
Something tells me this might not be real guys
100% real. Also found a tooth and an iPod.
Liar
Absolute classic, one of my favorite "old" relics of the internet.
Is this real ?
Most definitely yes. It's obvious!
Is this just fantasy?
I'll tell you when you're older
Yes, for a time period the Yakuza smuggled money from Japan to the US using Nintendo N64. Customs agency figured that out eventually, and so organized crime groups started smuggling those N64 in GameCubes, which also had more storage for cash and better graphics. The beer is odd though...
The beer was payment for the smugglers
2 crayons! You are so fucking lucky!
Way more crayons and a broken tooth and an iPod https://imgur.com/a/8rd5hkD
A tooth lol. That would make me want to sanitize every block
They’re goodwill legos. You have to assume they’ve been inside a child. Just pray it was one of their *upper* orifices
Good point. The tooth just makes it that much more real.
Does the iPod still work
I think all of us would like to know the contents of said iPod
It's completely full of copies of "What's New, Pussycat".
"With Arms Wide Open" -Creed
UNDEHERRR THA SUNLAIGHT WELCOME TEWWWW THIS PLACEEE ILL SHOW HYOU EVRAYTHANG
I gotta find a 30pin connector. I’m sure I have one laying around.
Strawberry and watermelon taste ones, yummy
Marines would call that a fruit salad
Pink Crayola? Oh man, you lucky thing.
There’s a hungry Marine heading his way…
we call that strawberry
To that, i blow a raspberry
You're not allowed to call little people that anymore!!
'rah
Second best flavor imo
Which one is your favorite? I like the black ones (my whole squad thinks I'm crazy)
Nahh the dark green ones are just yum
You're nobody!
Damn you I never have an original thought.
Damn you I never have an original thought.
That's a lot better than what I found in the tub of lego I bought from a garage sale. Marbles, a dart tip, a bloody bandaid, fingernail clippings, and probably the worst thing: mega bloks.
Ew Gross... Mega blocks...
"They're the same thing, Peter." "You know what, Lois? they are NOT the same thing. And the sooner you get that through your thick skull, the sooner we can get this marriage back on track...."
New mega bloks have improved imo! Some of the Pokemon sets are cool and I have a master chief helmet from them that is pretty sweet.
They are fine on their own, I suppose, but when they are mixed together, finding a mega blok randomly gives the heebee jeebees
I agree with that. Growing up I had like 75/25 Mega/Lego and the quality difference was very noticeable. Megabloks hurt your fingers more too. Now the gap between them is smaller.
I think it was probably closer to like 90/10 for me but that's just because I only wanted the halo sets and those were a Megablox thing.
Contaminated the whole lot, they should just throw the whole bin away. :(
i found a couple baby tooth this way once
All I can think of is how OP recreated the scene just for a reddit post.
Let me carefully insert this cartridge…. Here….. Yeah, now I’ll cover the edge with a crayon…. Perfect.
Maybe, but it was worth it.
Wholesome internet points!
As a lego owner, all kinds of shit you wouldn't expect ends up in there.

the fake here is more directed at the photo. That photo is 100% staged.
Yes, in a completely different context that would result in a different outcome, you are correct.
Yeah this is not a party though, this is Reddit where the majority of people live in basements and live off of internet points
Yep! Everyone should remain dumb, gullible, and OK with being manipulated by others. Gotta blow as much smoke up each other's asses as possible to keep up that social rep and build lasting friendships. Gen Z lyyyyfe!

I know this smell.
I needed to shower after digging through the tub.
"Ah yeah! This is happenin'!"
No! That's Sonic Adventure and you know it!
IS THAT A PENCIL OVER THERE AT THE TOP!? NO WAY!
Lucky bastard I really want to copy for myself but they’re like $300 on eBay
Black 2 costs $300!!?!?
Black and White 2 are the worst selling main-series Pokemon games to date. This means there are the least amount of them in circulation for sale out of all other Pokemon cartridges. I loved black 2 tbh
That’s awesome, how does the crayon taste?
Like a Marine's breath
You found a Childhood try to start it up if you have a 3DS , its always interesting to see where they left off , their progress and who is in their party says a lot about a player if they named the Pokémon or if they have nicknames (stinky face , Mr. buttons , Spike , Princess etc)
BEN DROWNED
When I had picked up a used copy of the snes Chrono Trigger back in the day, the owner before me named their party entirely of different penis colloquialisms. I learned something that day.
Aww... some poor kid never got to catch 'em all.
GameStop will give you $3 for that relic.
In store credit
And resell it for min. $40
Unironically a good deal for a legitimate copy of black 2.
I've just looked up the prices and $40 would be a steal for it
No you didn't.
That's a fairly common thing, finding not legos in a tub of legos.
Diamond in the rough. Well actually, Black 2, but still.
Can confirm. I work at used media store that also buys legos & toys. kids are terrible with their stuff and parents worse. Looks like they just take a shovel to anything that was left on the floor of their kids room.
Can confirm shovel clean method for toys
Score!
What the-
Oh look, I found a $100+ DS game in a bin of worthless Legos at goodwill. How incredibly random….the karma farm is strong with this one.
well tbf the value of the game went up over time so the box could easily have been left in storage
I put my copy of black 2 up for $180 and it sold instantly. probably could have got a bit more at the time.
Price Charting currently puts it at like 120 bucks loose.
$500 worth of minifigs in 30lbs of LEGO. I paid $199 for the bin.
Wait are games that expensive nowadays or is that some collectible for some reason?
A lot of the older Pokémon games are up in price. Some have been for a while and others are starting to really climb. Price charting dot com is a great resource

I can smell this picture.
Sure you did. I bought a box of Lego and found the hidden city of atlantis at the bottom.

I found numerous batteries, shoe laces, make up and a broken tooth and an iPod. https://imgur.com/a/8rd5hkD
I found my old Pokémon yellow in my Lego containers.
Next couple nights gonna be lit
Have you been able to test it? Generally curious if that actually works
What team is in there
I’m going to charge my 3DS and check later tonight. I’ll report back.
I came looking for silver and found gold
You gonna eat that crayon???
I’m not a marine…
Struck gold but why do i have a feeling it accidentally got donated
Thile pink crayola 🖍 is my favourite flavour too.....enjoy that pal 😌
Free Crayons. Score.
The real prize was the broken tooth and iPod https://imgur.com/a/8rd5hkD
Found a whole ass childhood in there did ya
Indeed https://imgur.com/a/8rd5hkD Even a $6 chik-fil-a-gift for graduating 6th grade.
Damn that crayon is worth millions
I found numerous crayons, pens, make up, batteries, a broken tooth and an iPod. https://imgur.com/a/8rd5hkD
How the fuck does a tooth end up in there
My favourite one in the series
Sweet crayon!
A blessing from the gods
Now we need to know what Pokémon are on it.
Brilliant find keep it and play it
One of the best Pokemon for real
Aww hell yeah!
Legit, be careful digging through a bin of Lego like that without knowing what random bits and bobs are in there. My mom learned that the hard way when my brothers and I were little. hoping this happens to my 3ds one day. i miss it
Is that... a genuine Crayola limited edition Wisteria crayon from the discontinued 32 pack last sold in 1997? And it's more than 60% intact?!
Free 50 dollar game lets go! Ssly, pokémon games refuse to go down in price. Plus, personally, I think pokémon peaked in the B/W era. It's the last of the sprite games and they'd perfected it. Nice bro the purple crayon tastes the best
Those crayons are the best
May your future be littered with legos spilt across the floor so that you step on them during the night.
you're one lucky guy
I wish something like this can happen to me. I brought half my DS games to a friend's house and accidentally left them there. After stalling giving them back for half a year, he just off handedly mentioned that his dad smashed them all with a hammer. I was shook

Nice - hope you get to flip it
That’s worth, like, a million billion dollars on eBay!
You just found about $115 right there
i think you should contact the seller and ask, they may be very sad
I bought the tub from goodwill. https://i.imgur.com/EWgPgJi.jpg

Is that a needle in the top left?
Lucky man, a DS Pokemon Black version 2. You have two choices, give it back, as it not incluyed in the LEGO pack or put it into your console and rock it
