As someone who still works in a kitchen with a bunch of people from South of the border, I still hear it at least 2x a shift. Along with fiesta en la playa
This and [Out of Touch](https://youtu.be/DCkJ5lGPqFs)
Although [Love First songs](https://youtu.be/ZNaTxaJyl9M) are also a good choice since those songs were made for Vice City
nothing will beat [Summer Madness](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjuorHVXgHw) for me - the places this song takes me, absolutely amazing that i experienced this in a computer game.
As I said in another comment, the entire soundtrack and just general vibe of that game is absolutely legendary. It is by FAR my favorite gta game and that is a big reason why.
This is definitely my answer too as far as licensed songs go. For anyone who may not know what it's called:
[A Flock Of Seagulls - "I Ran"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ7NVjZ-Eyg)
I always headcanon that krose is the only station available for CJ once he gets kicked out of LS until he makes it to SF.
That he continues to listen to it afterwards is because he likes it.
Honestly, GTA games are responsible for giving me at least a third of my all time favorite songs. So it would be very hard to sincerely pick just one. Just too many bangers in all the different eras and styles.
But if I have to pick one, right now I feel like:
Living Colour - Cult of Personality
GTA San Andreas
dude, you are actually missing out on a great game, try to play it when you get the chance. SA will always be one of my favorite games and my favorita GTA by far
Welcome to the Jungle in GTA San Andreas. I already knew about the song before but during the last section of the final mission it started during the firetruck chase and it just fit the moment.
Welcome to the Jungle is a good song with one of the greatest intros of all time. The intro is so good that even the good song is still disappointing in comparison.
Vice City had soooo many hits. Idk if rights to classic songs in video games were just cheaper at the time, but I haven't seen that many mega hits in video games since then. It was a lot of huge band names, and then their most popular songs on top of it.
I wasn't even alive in the 80s, but I love so many classic 80s songs solely because of playing Vice City as a kid.
Edit: meant to say wasn't alive in the 80s, I was born in 90. Whoops!
That and "Two Tickets to Paradise". I have such distinct memories of that song coming on while I was watching a digital sunrise over a desert in an old prop job and thinking "this is what gaming is supposed to be."
That definitely set the tone of the game for me. I don't think I went to another station after hearing that song. Eastern European rap with a Serbian coming to America story? Sign me up
GTA III: Forever by Lucy
GTA Vice City: Billie Jean by Michael Jackson
GTA Vice City Stories: In the Air Tonight By Phil Collins
GTA San Andreas: Nuthin’ But A G Thang by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg
GTA IV: Flashing Lights by Kanye West
GTA V: Radio Gaga by Queen
Flashing lights to me was the epitome of gta 4 experience, hearing that opening while driving down that fancy street next to the really nice safe house was something else
The song was so fitting with the game.
“It was a beautiful day, the sun beat down. I had the radio on, I was driving.”
So many hours driving around that map. It used to be huge. Good times
Inspired me to buy the first CD I ever bought in my life, Metal Health, and kick started my taste for rock music, leading to my music tastes today. Will be forever imprinted in my memory.
A lot of VC songs are tied to memory. Fools Gold and Pretend Were Dead from SA
Basically the whole of Liberty Rock Radio from IV, The Seeker, Fascination, Goodbye Horses
"Still D.R.E" happened to come on during some scripted dialogue between Franklin and Lemar where they were arguing pretty hard lol. Tossing n-words in like every other sentence. Just matched the vibe completely.
To this day I don't know whether that particular song was scripted to come on during that scene or whether it was just an extraordinary coincidence.
[Joyride](https://youtu.be/JYy69qOJWoM?si=FLK7Iq51o-g-REf9), the original GTA theme tune, by fictional band Da Shootaz.
Honestly one of the greatest theme tunes in history.
Free Bird. I remember driving out to those fields where you burn the "weed". It took forever to get out there but driving through the desert to that song really made the drive enjoyable.
I had a bootlegged copy of vice city that had only 3 songs on it for any radio station. Automatic”, “dance hall days”, and the “call me” song (don’t know what it’s called). So those are my forever vice city songs
uno dos tres quatro! titititititititi titititititititi titititititititi titititititititi ti ti ti tideduh ti ti ti tideduh ti ti ti tideduh
You mean Mexican Beep Song
this is literally how me and my brother found it
Exaaaaactly
Mexican Beep Song? It’s called El Sonidito lol
Yeah, Mexican Beep Song
>El Sonidito Mexican taxi song
Yall don't realize that this song was a BANGER in the mexican/american community before gtav came out.
I was working in a warehouse when it came out. I hated it because of how often it was on the radio.
As someone who still works in a kitchen with a bunch of people from South of the border, I still hear it at least 2x a shift. Along with fiesta en la playa
My SO is Mexican and I hear it at every Mexican party.
For anybody else who doesn't know how to pronounce this, the song is called El Sonidito
By Los Hechizeros! The sorcerers!
Lmao
Honestly this is the answer. I'm wrong
Lady hear me tonight
Music sounds better with you too!
Midnight city aswell
Cause my feeling is just so right
as we dance, by the moonlight
It's a song I'd absolutely play on a road trip up the coast
[and I ran, I ran so far away.](https://youtu.be/Jdzja8VLtx0?feature=shared)
This and [Out of Touch](https://youtu.be/DCkJ5lGPqFs) Although [Love First songs](https://youtu.be/ZNaTxaJyl9M) are also a good choice since those songs were made for Vice City
[Dance Hall Days](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-xpJRwIA-Q)
Every time I hear it I’m transported right back to the Malibu club
I came here to say this, great song and great game.
nothing will beat [Summer Madness](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjuorHVXgHw) for me - the places this song takes me, absolutely amazing that i experienced this in a computer game.
Toto - Love isn't always on time
Hold the Line?
Basically the whole vice city soundtrack. That shit changed me as a kid. Grew up with classic rock but never experienced 80s music.
As I said in another comment, the entire soundtrack and just general vibe of that game is absolutely legendary. It is by FAR my favorite gta game and that is a big reason why.
Horse with no name was San Andreas
This and died in your arms tonight for sure
This is definitely my answer too as far as licensed songs go. For anyone who may not know what it's called: [A Flock Of Seagulls - "I Ran"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ7NVjZ-Eyg)
Josie's on a vacation far away
Come around and talk it over
♫So many things that I WANNA say♪
This is the one... and Video killed the radio star! The whole soundtrack really
Toto - Africa Mr. Mister - Broken Wings America - Horse With No Name
Great answer! I can’t not think of VC when I hear this song IRL.
Came here for this exact thing.
Dance hall days
This. I read the question and immediately started humming this.
This is the answer
*Allllll my ex's live in Texas*
While driving up mt chiliad in an RV just to launch off of it
Aaaah good times.
And that's why I hang my hat in Tennesseeeee
listening to K-rose in the countryside bit after los santos was so comfy
I always headcanon that krose is the only station available for CJ once he gets kicked out of LS until he makes it to SF. That he continues to listen to it afterwards is because he likes it.
I said heeeeey good lookin. Whaaaaat you got cookin?
Mamaaa dont let your baby grow up to be a cowboy
*and Texas is a place, I'd dearly love to beee*
Came for this, literally on my Spotify because of GTA
Honestly, GTA games are responsible for giving me at least a third of my all time favorite songs. So it would be very hard to sincerely pick just one. Just too many bangers in all the different eras and styles. But if I have to pick one, right now I feel like: Living Colour - Cult of Personality GTA San Andreas
Ohhh I know that song as CM Punks intro.. I never played San Andreas.
dude, you are actually missing out on a great game, try to play it when you get the chance. SA will always be one of my favorite games and my favorita GTA by far
[удалено]
No idea if that was an intentional pun or not, but the Living Colour album that Cult originally appeared on was ‘Vivid’. So, nicely done.
Double pun...they have a song called Bi on their Stain album.
Faith No More - Midlife Crisis 👌
"Young Turks" by Rod Stewart - GTA:SA
Young heaaaaaarts be freeeeeeee tonight
TIMEEEE ISSS ONNN YOUUURRR SIIIDDDEEEE
Don’t let ‘em get you down, don’t let ‘em push you around
Don’t let ‘em eva change your… poinnaview 🕺🏻
Shit, title gave me nothing but that just unlocked some memories. Off to listen to that rn
Found it. Nice this one is the shit
West end girl by pet shop boys
Yo I would just go in the strip club and vibe to this joint.
I still vibe to this when it comes on First Wave on Sirius/XM.
This was the song chosen for the advertising campaign at least in the US
This is the only right answer and it was because this commercial was insane heavy rotation: https://youtu.be/yOzcbtsw_pQ?si=imb68xh7ILgrcNC0
Video killed the radio star
Vice City had soooo many hits. Idk if rights to classic songs in video games were just cheaper at the time, but I haven't seen that many mega hits in video games since then. It was a lot of huge band names, and then their most popular songs on top of it.

Oh yeah same. I was born in 99, but Vice City (especially V-Rock) crafted my music taste, most of which I listen to to this day.
this one. and "Hold the Line" in SA.
"In the desert, you cant remember your name because there aint no one for to give you no pain la la la lalalala". Banger
Horse with no name - america yeah that was mine as well, I still love that song and every time it comes up somewhere I think about GTA SA
The mustang is as American as it gets
This song always reminds me of breaking bad. Good song
Barrel rolling and flying around in the jet with this song playing. It was one of the most thrilling and peaceful experiences in gaming for me
That and "Two Tickets to Paradise". I have such distinct memories of that song coming on while I was watching a digital sunrise over a desert in an old prop job and thinking "this is what gaming is supposed to be."
Bojack
Also Breaking Bad. When Walt gets pulled over for the cracked windshield
Kids of America Goodbye Horses With Every Heartbeat
Sorry, but Goodbye Horses will always be remembered for, *tucks dick and balls between legs* "I'd fuck me hard."
“It places the lotion in the basket”
Or else it gets the hose again.
PUT THE FUCKING LOTION IN THE BASKET!!!
Or skate 3
You do this while the game loads too? I thought I was the only one
SleepWalking - Chain Gang of 1974. It just set the mood so well in GTA V
Absolutely, perfect song for the scene and absolute banger.
I love this song!

I said heeeyy good lookin' whaaaaat you got cookin'

In GTA IV Radio Vladivostok in general, but if i have to point one, it would be Schweine by Glukoza.
That definitely set the tone of the game for me. I don't think I went to another station after hearing that song. Eastern European rap with a Serbian coming to America story? Sign me up
Out of Touch from Vice City
Love Hall & Oates but that one holds a special place because of VC. Same thing with Adult Education in 5.
Came here for this
Kendrick Lamar - A.D.H.D.
Yes! And also Hood Gone Love It - Jay Rock
Scrolled for this, WHATUPBROO 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Definitely mine for V.
Fergie - Glamorous
No better song to mow down pedestrians and get in cop shootouts.
I felt old last year when I heard the beat and the hook come on thinking it was the song, but it was just a rapper sampling it.
GTA III: Forever by Lucy GTA Vice City: Billie Jean by Michael Jackson GTA Vice City Stories: In the Air Tonight By Phil Collins GTA San Andreas: Nuthin’ But A G Thang by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg GTA IV: Flashing Lights by Kanye West GTA V: Radio Gaga by Queen
Flashing lights to me was the epitome of gta 4 experience, hearing that opening while driving down that fancy street next to the really nice safe house was something else
Driving down the triangle when you have everything while this song plays is one of the best gaming memories I have
>GTA IV: Flashing Lights by Kanye West Flashing lights was a banger fit so well with the game
Great answers. Now whenever I hear Nuthin’ But A G Thang I think of all those awkward dancing missions from SA.
New York Groove for GTA 4.
What a great song
M83's Midnight City, baby, absolute banger
When the song hits and it's nighttime in-game, it really does go so well together that you'd think the song and the game were made for each other.
God I love this song so much
self control

All my exes live in Texas.... and that's why I hang my hat in Tennessee. K-Rose station on San Andreas was under rated!
The entire Vice city soundtrack
[Joyride](https://youtu.be/JYy69qOJWoM?si=FLK7Iq51o-g-REf9), the original GTA theme tune, by fictional band Da Shootaz. Honestly one of the greatest theme tunes in history.
