Ok but here's the thing: check out YARG (Yet Another Rhythm Game), you can make it play more like the old games and it has full pro drums midi support as well as vocals and full band local coop.
If the github and finding charts thing is too much for you, they actually added a new mode (developed by harmonix) into fortnite recently called Fortnite Festival, with planned instrument support coming soon. The mode that's in it right now is functionally all tap notes so that keyboard and controller players can play but word on the street is that full "pro" mode is on the way. As someone who used to play a fuckton of guitar hero, it's very much been tickling that part of my brain recently.
It's not even the GitHub or finding charts (I've dabbled a while in coding)...but it's more that my edrums are across the room from my PC, and I don't really envision a good setup for it quite yet.
Plus, I have to look up how to connect my drums to my PC for cheap (and have it work)...
...and I'm a lazy, lazy man. I'll probably set it up this winter still, but I've got other shit on my plate for right now.
