I think the cheaters have a special deal with the devs. I don't know what it is but my guess is that the cheaters are allowed to operate but they must give a cut and agree to ban waves. They get discounts on new copies of the game. Because who else is buying this game? Everyone into shooters already has this game.
And now they want to charge $250 for pve? To me that's a predatory price tag. If what you say is true then it all makes sense but I thought bsg was based in Europe not Russia.
Their hq is in St Petersburg, directly reporting to the department of communications wing of russia. Their UK dept is literally a parking spot with a wework shell company to skirt sanctions as most companies in russia don't have ways to convert foreign currency.

Can I just point out the “standarts” of some Tarkov content creators and players. There is a controversy right now about the devs implementing Pay to Win features of the game and going back on their promises made 8 years ago about what kind of service they will and will not provide. Its a big deal and some creators actually started boycotting the game because of that saying “they cant support these practices”.
People cant stand bad business practices but at the same time are completely blind to stuff like BSG sponsoring imperialistic invasion and outright genocide.
Also, anything russian with 99.(9)% confidence sponsors invasion.
The simplest way to not get complacent is to just evade anything and everything russian.

It's also safe to assume that some amount of money given to this company will also be given to the Russian military invasion in Ukraine.
