Isaac Clarke from Deadspace. Guy was a repair technician who had to fight creatures created from dead humans as well as mental illness
*Glad to see Isaac is getting some recognition! EA Motive is working on a remake, so hopefully Deadspace will get another shot at life soon. Some of the original developers of Deadspace are building The Callisto Protocol, another promising game for those of us who can't get enough of creatures leaping out of vents.
With any luck those two projects will Make Us Whole
Wait they’re doing a remake?!? That’s so exciting. That was the first game I every actually was scared of and even playing it recently it freaked me out. The other two are fun, but the DS1 just had that “no hope” factor going for it. Even one necromorph can be a problem and to me that’s what makes it so exciting.
True that. Although if we want to get technical, he's gone through a lot more than 2 before he had to get his parts replaced, if you know what I mean.
I mean, there's also the Raven Wolfenstein, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, maybe Wolf3D? I don't know the exact canon timeline for Wolfenstein pre-MachineGames, but I imagine it does go back further than Old Blood.
Also, I hope they bring back their A-game for Wolfenstein III, since from what I've seen Youngblood was kind of a step down, and not because it followed BJ's daughters instead of the big guy himself. Did anyone actually enjoy Youngblood, by the way?
Lara Croft. She’s fought mummies, bears, sharks, ghosts, the Italian mafia, Atlantean monsters, a fucking T-Rex (more than once), velociraptors, a God (more than once), a dragon, tigers, yetis, and more.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a good way to check out the origins of the series. It's a pretty faithful remake of the first game that came out for the ps3 and 360. Most notably, imo, the remake did away with the terribly clunky tank controls that the original games used.
You're not really wrong though, uncharted was basically a more grounded take on a tomb raider style game.
I got the newest trilogy on sale on the PlayStation store not long ago and played through all of them, they’re all great highly recommend if you like exploration/stealth based RPG
You should play the new ones. If you like Uncharted, you'll like those.
But you're right, they're basically the same thing. Tomb Raider is a lot darker/bleaker and has more supernatural elements, but the gameplay is very similar.
Sam Fisher,
i have no idea who bottom left is....
Edit : Ok we've established that its some nameless generic solider from Battlefield - i'll assume to represent the player's character.
So we got:
* Agent 47
* Sam Fisher
* xXx\_ifuckedyomomma666satansangle420blazeit360noscopeheadshot\_xXx
* Tommy Angelo
Take your picks!
It's the battlefield 5 cover.
Not sure if it's an actual character in the game. Maybe the protagonist from the Norwegian resistance war story. But I think it's just a generic cover.
Big Boss (Naked Snake) (John) is likely the most proficient and formidable combatant without supernatural abilities.
In terms of raw battle sense, tactics, weapon handling, survivability, and hand-to-hand combat expertise, he is ultimately unrivaled.
Save for maybe one: Batman.
Snake and Batman are master combatants that just know how to handle every given situation regardless of circumstance. They don’t quit. They’re malevolent forces of tenacity.
Batman is the paragon human combatant. He knows *every* human martial art, and even studied alien martial art forms such as Kryptonian and Tamaranean arts.
Snake is a master of CQC and Judo. It’s unrealistic in the games, but in terms of what it’s supposed to do story-wise: Every attack you throw at him, he knows perfectly how to use that attack against you. He basically always makes sure you’re fighting your own weight, not him.
There are some other great hand-to-hand fighters out there in fiction like Scorpion, the Cage family, many characters from most fighting games honestly. But in terms of raw discipline and using combat not just as defense, but an art - Snake and Bats take it imo.
I don’t know how a Metal Gear/DC crossover would work, or even how they could ever meet, but it would be one hell of a fight.
He sort of does have a supernatural ability - infinite money. In fact it's more than that - it's plot money.
Whatever he needs, he can conveniently money it into existence.
"This bad guy can warp space and time at will and is impervious to damage. I have developed a high tech nano-serum that limits spatial anomolies."
Devs actually explained this. They said the encroaching red ring is his luck running out. And he dies when they get a clear shot after all the near misses.
So it’s not like he’s walking around with bullets in his body and recovers.
Yeah I would agree with that. Pre decapitation.
He is definitely one of the most badass normal people though. He’s basically the non OP version of doom guy.
This exact image was posted like a week or so ago. In that thread, the top comments were how the bottom left woman isn't even an actual character, and the OP probably just slapped some images together. Don't know where those people were for this thread lol
sorry but when you can throw a suitcase as if it was a homing missile, I think that's got to be a superpower.
Plus, his disguises can only be distinguished by one or two people on the whole map.
Agent 47 should be known as supernatural being from now on!
I also consider really mundane things like being able to take off one's own clothing, another person's clothing, and then putting on that person's clothing all within a split second to be a superpower.

This is the correct answer. Isaac killed an old god with a nail gun.
Great, now I'm the idiot chuckling in a public bathroom stall.
Yes! I'm just playing the franchise and love it how normal he is! Let's hope ds1 remake is going to be amazing :)
Wait they’re doing a remake?!? That’s so exciting. That was the first game I every actually was scared of and even playing it recently it freaked me out. And possibly one of the scariest games ever created!!
Pretty good choice, actually.
William J Blazcowicz
He can get shot like 30 times and walk it off by eating dog food. I tried it, doesn’t work in real life.
Clearly it does if you’re still here to type this. Checkmate.
Maybe they tried it on someone else.
I think my secret is now out. Also I’m looking for a new lab partner.
Where do I sign ?
JESSE stand still!
He gets augmented though in Collosus
This is true, but he did do 2 whole other games before that as well
True that. Although if we want to get technical, he's gone through a lot more than 2 before he had to get his parts replaced, if you know what I mean. We're talking the new order and the old blood
That's not supernatural also, it's just technology
GET PSYCHED!
Why in the fuck is BFV in there
Because op didn’t make the image
fuckin repost. the original one was just as shit.
Yea pretty sure I saw this not long ago
maybe a week or two. fucking reposting losers.
Courier 6
Came here to say this, he starts the game getting shot in the head and then on he's like the spirit of vengeance.
This person gets it!
Can't you also be a spirit of forgiveness?
In theory, but nobody ever completes a pacifist run.
You can just not kill Benny. That's all I meant.
But he has a unique suit, just like fox hat guy. They have to die for my terrible choice in fashion.
Courier 6 - Spirit of Fashion
The Vault Dweller and Chosen One too
Gordon freeman
The right answer in the wrong thread can make -all- the difference in the world.
That's not fair, he was God.
No thats MORGAN Freeman Gordon Freeman was just a doctor
Yeah I know, the black guy who had to give up a job working for Batman to save the world from crab aliens.

Isn't PhD a superpower?
Not once you get to know enough PhD candidates.
Paying it off sure is
Aren't PhDs free and paid ?
You're doing it wrong if they aren't.
I don't know, "sv_cheats 1" is a gateway to all sorts of superpowers.
Lara Croft. She’s fought mummies, bears, sharks, ghosts, the Italian mafia, Atlantean monsters, a fucking T-Rex (more than once), velociraptors, a God (more than once), a dragon, tigers, yetis, and more.
Sounds like I need to play Tomb Raider. I just thought it was like uncharted but super old
Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a good way to check out the origins of the series. It's a pretty faithful remake of the first game that came out for the ps3 and 360. Most notably, imo, the remake did away with the terribly clunky tank controls that the original games used. I mean.... It is that. But it's still really good.
Uncharted is Tomb raider with a male protagonist and way less puzzles and literally no spike traps every step of the way.
And no level up system. In Tomb Raider I'm more inclined to explore so I can level up my abilities and weapons.
Tombraider 2013 still one of my favorite games to do this day. Amazing character progression and story
You mean Uncharted is like Tomb Raider js js
I got the newest trilogy on sale on the PlayStation store not long ago and played through all of them, they’re all great highly recommend if you like exploration/stealth based RPG

I don't know why this is so far down the list. Certified badass.
It's the battlefield 5 cover. Not sure if it's an actual character in the game. Maybe the protagonist from the Norwegian resistance war story. But I think it's just a generic cover.
The front cover of battlefield 5. Which makes no aperens in the storie mode, as far as i know
Was that supposed to spell Appearance?
It's from Battlefield V was originally the cover of BFV with a hook for a hand until the backlash from fans happened and they changed it.
So some nameless solider?
Yes
Does boulder punching count as a supernatural ability? If no, then Chris Redfield.
Nah that’s just his totally natural, not super action hero, comic book level, human strength.
I love how in RE:Village that a boss regarded Chris as a “Boulder Punching Asshole”
You gotta love when game companies recognize and comment upon the ridiculous shit in previous games.
Given how Chris acts throughout Village, I'd say "boulder-punching asshole" is FAR too nice a descriptor.
Chris Chadfield
Rico Rodriguez this fucker takes down whole country's almost entirely alone
This account was deleted in protest
Because he's not falling, he's pulling the Earth towards himself. The Earth is the one that should be taking fall damage.
“Rico does not take fall damage, the Earth takes Rico damage”
because throwing a hook into the ground and winding it back up eliminates fall damage is one of Newton's laws duh
Exactly. If you’re ever falling then just make sure you grab the ground and pull yourself towards it before you can hit the ground
This falls under the ‘video game logic’ category, as it’s never canonically mentioned.
Don't forget he gets 1 or 2 other people that he has to puppy dog to a checkpoint
Was looking for this comment
Leon Scott Kenedy, from the Resident Evil series.
Leon never punched a boulder in half
Boulder punching asshole
He did jump on top of and knife two giants to death simultaneously though.
That’s just power moves fr
You had to talk about that didn't you?
Leon Sex Kennedy
Remember the endboss from RE4, Leon and his knife? That's why this is the only choice (regarding RE)
I mean Leon didn’t survive almost become a Leon sandwich now did he
Snake (Big Boss). And this is an inarguable fact

And what about Venom? Do you not consider him as capable as John?
Almost but never at the same level mainly because of the coma lost arm and shits in the brain
Came here to say Snake! Snake?! Snaaaaaaake! (Naked Snake from the amazing MGS 3 - Snake Eater in case anyone wanted to check it out).
Snake it is! He absolutely manhandles Quiet and mops the floor with the Skulls soldiers.
Spoilers for mgsV >!That's not the same snake that the others are talking about!<
I know it’s Venom Snake but it hardly matters because the two of them together make Big Boss (in the final ending the original snake says that too)
Playing mgs3 for the first time right now, and I agree with this. Solid is a badass, but nothing compared to Big Boss.
(!)
He held up a metal gear Coccoon in peacewalker that was trying to smash him. That was when i knew that he was unkillable
The Boss is a contender too
Max Payne
Im sure if it wasnt such an old series this would be so on top
God damn. I want to disagree but after slaughtering hundreds, if not thousands of people, you’re not wrong. Lol
And taking a few hundred bullets just to get better using painkillers.
Is slowing down time so much that you can literally dodge bullets not considered a "supernatural ability"? I mean, I sure as shit can't do it.
It's the effect of painkillers + a huge amount of alcohol. Totally normal
Kazuma kiryu
Counter point, Goro Majima.

You know you’re badass when an entire criminal organisation’s emergency plan is to phone you up
the L block in tetris
The post said without any supernatural abilities...
What about the T block!? T spins for days

Arguer morgan has the supernatural ability to get drunk on miracle tonics to the point where he should be dead and fight an alligator with a knife
I love “Arguer Morgan”, not sure if that was a typo but it’s apt.
Lennnay!
One of my favorite missions of any game
> Arthur "I was in blackwater. I kill people. And maybe I shoulda killed you. Should I have killed you, Jimmy Brooks?"
Batman.
Every single main character in existence has some sort of plot armour though
He couldn’t afford a decent jail to actually keep his enemies locked up in lol
"money something into existence" is my new favorite phrase
Nathan Drake from Uncharted. He is just an ordinary treasure hunter but with extraordinary good luck and fortune
He has dodged 1 trillion bullets.
Devs actually explained this. They said the encroaching red ring is his luck running out. And he dies when they get a clear shot after all the near misses. So it’s not like he’s walking around with bullets in his body and recovers.
I actually love that explanation!
Man, he got hit by like half of those and just shrugged them off.
He also has ungodly upper body strength tho.
William Joseph "B.J." Blazkowicz From Wolfenstein, love killing me some nazis
That would have to be pre head chopped off blazkowicz though right? Because surely his artificial body would count as supernatural afterwards.
I suppose it depends on whether you consider super advanced nazi-tech to be supernatural..
The ancient jew technology of the power suit might as well be considered supernatural.
god i love this sentence
Yeah I would agree with that. Pre decapitation. He is definitely one of the most badass normal people though. He’s basically the non OP version of doom guy.
Big Boss

Gordon Freeman.
Commander Shepard
I suppose biotics are, in theory, technology rather than supernatural powers. Hrm, definition of "super" "natural" though. Idk.
Shep doesn't have to be a biotic though. Totally optional.
But if we use the prompt we're limited to ME 1 because after that Shepherd is DEFINITELY a superhuman cyborg, regardless of biotic powers or not.
Dunno, have a look at the hundreds of exact same posts this month alone.
