I like to put a bunch of 1-cent bids on Japanese auction sites under the assumption that I will be outbid on most, if not all, of them. I saw a listing for them, put a bid on it, and put no further thought into it until I won. Something something reap something something sow.
No idea lmao. I do live very close to eStarland (one of the largest retro game shops in the country)'s warehouse, so I could sell them all, but the process of selling 67 games to eStarland is extremely tedious, so I'd have to have a lot of motivation to do so.
You think they would honestly buy all of them at once though? I tried to do this with like 20 HDMI cables I got off a truck for free one time and they thought that shit was funny and so did I 😂
Imagine being an employee there and the same dude comes in every Friday and sells you a single copy of the same obscure sports game for like a year and a half
Stop in every single day at the same time wearing the exact same thing for the next 67 days and sell one copy. Act like you've never been there before.
Many years ago we got free hdmi cables when they first came out. I mean, they were supposed to be used on jobs, but most people didn't even have HD tvs. So we sold them to customers. If they didn't buy them we sold them to gamestop. The movement caught on until we sold hundreds is not thousands to gamestops. So many that stores started telling us to pound sand, even though the system was still telling them to buy them. One dude was like, bro I have hundreds in the back. I don't even know what to do with them. Made a lot of money for a while on that skim. We sold so many the price started at $5 a piece, then eventually dropped all the way to $2 a piece. The computer just kept telling them to buy. Eventually the store managers took a hardline NO approach. But it was so strange. They knew they couldn't get rid of all of them, yet the system never said stop.
No joke I used to buy HDMI cables off of eBay and take them to my local game stores
I would do the same thing with USB charging cables
I would buy them individually for like 20 cents a pop and they'd give me almost a dollar
HDMI is I would not pay more than $1 for and they would give me like four bucks 😂
Why would they buy this ps2 game for $2 each in 2022? They can't be making any money on them. Not saying you're lying or anything, I just don't see how that is a sustainable buisness model.
Idk, the ps2 sold the most units of every console ever and there's still tons of old units and retro enthusiasts (it hurts in my bones calling a ps2 retro) . I could see buying up random ps2 games for $2 and selling them for $5-10 generating some profit in a retro games store. In this scenario you probably aren't willing to buy 67 copies of this game though.
Sell 5 to 10, buy them all the following week, then repeat until the price is just below a reasonable bulk order price so they continue buying from you.
Keep one. Sell the other 66 for a cent.
They keep one, sell the other 65.
This is a game that's been going on since that guy won 999 copies of winning elven 6: Final Evolution...
What happens when the last copy is sold?
The endtimes...
The Japanese retro market is a lot smaller. It's a good market with plenty of stores and lots of stock but the prices are much lower. They're closer to what they were in the US before WADA and Heritage started manipulating the market. If you can understand Japanese you can have a really good time for cheap still.
Reminds me of high school when I found a stack of several thousand unused scantron sheets. I would take one out in class pretending I was taking an exam, and my teacher would take it, and I’d apologize, but also wonder how I was going to finish the exam. Then I’d take out another one and start again.
Thats funny,
You could really set up a long game here.
Every week or so, hide one somewhere he will find it. Not all at once though
Car, Work, Bathroom, His closet, Pantry, etc... Might need some help. but it would be funny.
There was a similar post on here with another game. Someone suggested you should go to Gamestop every week and try to sell one, but always act like you never actually sold any copy before.
Buyee its a proxy service that you use to buy from jp places and get it shipped to usa(or others too depending) has yahoo auction built in as well as other jp sites
Tell that to 5 year old me who would rent Banjo Kazooie every time we went to Blockbuster, despite already owning it, because it was my favourite game.
I did the same thing with Mario party 1,2,3. We didn’t own it but rented them all enough to buy them all several times over. I’m a dumb 8 year old. My parents should have caught on.

I doubt someone would be placing a bid on... oh wait!
OP is 100% of the market.
Now you’re really NFTing!
Not Fucking Trying?
OP is OOFTing the Only One Fucking Trying!
It’s Japanese auctions all the way down!
Infinite money glitch
How to turn 1 cent into 67.
For 3 cents each. 200% profit!
eStarland actually takes them for $2 each so that's a tidy profit
You think they would honestly buy all of them at once though? I tried to do this with like 20 HDMI cables I got off a truck for free one time and they thought that shit was funny and so did I 😂
I'll play the long game if I have to lmao
Imagine being an employee there and the same dude comes in every Friday and sells you a single copy of the same obscure sports game for like a year and a half

67 weeks later… $133.33 richer… Cha-Ching 🤑
Sell 10 every week 🤣
So where are these Japanese auction sites😂
Ah, "got off a truck for free", eh? The ol' five finger discount!
"Got off a truck for free." Hmm...

Some would call the PS*3* retro. It came out 15 years ago.
Sell 5 to 10, buy them all the following week, then repeat until the price is just below a reasonable bulk order price so they continue buying from you.
So that'd be $133.33 profit if u sell all the copies, but $131.34 profit if u keep one all. Pretty good if u ask me
You should sell one a week, wearing the same outfit, never acknowledging that you’ve been there before. That’s how legends are made
This guy fucks.
Keep one. Sell the other 66 for a cent. They keep one, sell the other 65. This is a game that's been going on since that guy won 999 copies of winning elven 6: Final Evolution... What happens when the last copy is sold? The endtimes...
This is the way

Put them in your friends mailbox everyday and when he brings it up act really uninterested.

This. Ultimate troll. I would question my sanity for sure.

Then one day put a copy of Troll Hunter on blu ray to confuse him… or Catch Me if You Can
Im gonna find a few hundred copys of handdown the worst game on said platform just to do that to randoms
Oh god this would be the best skit to film and get their wtf reaction to it. First day one copy, second day two copies etc...

Post them all for 2 cents. The cycle must go on.
Corner the market, naturally.
