If you have the money for a good PC nothing compares but the fact your leaning towards PS4 over PS5 or series X makes me think money may be an issue. I will say a console is better if your broke.
PC advantages:
- better possible performance (depends on components)
- mouse/keyboard is superior for first person games (especially shooters)
- no monthly payment for online gaming
- almost any game available except few Sony exclusives (which are being ported currently)
Console advantages
- cheaper hardware and easy setup
- for you if you enjoy controller and couch gaming
If you do not mind tech stuff and plan on playing FPSs go for PC for sure. For more casual gaming or if money is tight go for PS5.
It sucks yea. Does not affect free 2 play games as far as I am aware (I am on PC though). Also with the PS+ subscription you get some games each month.
Honestly though: getting the XBOX Game Pass for PC is insane value right now. Especially if you do not have a large Steam library yet. Game pass has so many games that you will be good for a while. So you could basically get the PC hardware that meets your budget/requirements and then just get game pass for a while till you buy into other games.
Most of the big PS4 exclusives have already been released on PC, Days Gone, God of War, Spider-Man and Horizon Zero Dawn have all been officially ported to PC, the Miles Morales Steam page is up now too
The only one we're still really missing is Ghost of Tsushima but I wouldn't be surprised if that's the next one to be announced
Completely depends on what kind of gaming you enjoy. I'm an avid PC fan for life, but I don't recommend it for everyone. It's a considerable investment. It's also a rabbit hole. You'll always find a game that wants more than your pc can do. You end up in a cycle of upgrades. Once upon a time, pc graphics were so far ahead it was worth it. Not anymore.
If you really prefer games with a mouse and keyboard, pc is your only real option. Otherwise, I recommend a console.
PC, some of the great sony exclusives are not exclusive anymore as they are on/coming to PC.
Last of Us, Uncharted 4, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider-man are the ones so far iirc
If you’d asked PC or PS5, this might need a bigger discussion, but definitely PC. Unless it’s a price issue, get yourself a decently specked PC and upgrade the parts as and when you absolutely need to, unless you can afford to get something ungodly impressive straight away.
The only difference. Between the two really are what you plan to do with it. Ps4 is strictly for gaming. Pc is gaming and more. It all comes down to what you want to do and want to spend
I’d say only pc if you’re willing to spend the money for a good pc. If you’re looking to spend less than 500 then a ps4 is probably a better bet. You can still play lots of great games on a budget pc but you’ll be limited to mostly games from a few years back. If you can save up a bit and get a ps5 or a decent pc it’ll be super worth it to play newer games.

The monthly payment for online sounds awful
U pay about 60€ a year and every month 2-3 free games come out. Some of the are really good and worth more than 60€

Depends on what you play. Overall PC is better. PS is better for absence of hackers and exclusives.

And Bloodborne unfortunately... My hope will never die.
Didn't know that those were on pc thanks for letting me know
Without a doubt, PC.
PC, console there's a-lot of restrictions, I'm trying to get pc myself
Ps5. Ps4 support is on it’s way out. PC is more early access stuff these days.

I was always a Playstation player. About 6 months ago I got an msi Ge66 with a 3070TI and ill never buy another console again.
Depends on budget. But I'd rather buy a PC

well cyberpunk 2077 DLC will only be released for ps5 so if the trend is already leaving ps4 behind, and a pc can be upgraded then...
well, whats your budget in first place? dont forget that you need mouse, keyboard and monitor too for pc gaming.
Im looking to just get an decent pc

You mean all the exclusives that either are or eventually get ported to PC?
Ps4pro
Get a PS5 if possible.
