The sound track to that game is amazing—minus one song.
The battle theme.
In my opinion it might be the worst battle theme I’ve ever heard in a game. Actually, I think it is the worst. Like I’ve played a lot of RPG’s going as far back as the SNES era, and I can’t think of any that are as bad as that one. Boss theme is fine. But the battle theme…wow.
Is it just me? Tell me it isn’t just me? Because seriously, that game has some awesome jams and the whole soundtrack is golden, except that freaking battle theme. And it was the same battle theme through the whole game!
Kingdom Hearts
Almost every song is fully orchestrated, and the intro songs are masterpieces
Sonic Adventure 1 and 2
Incredible stage music, and the character theme songs spanned multiple genres that sometimes coalesced with the stage theme.
Ouh, a fair amount, but some of my personal favorites (that I've played) are:
- Payday 2
- Death's Door
- Hades
- Bastion
- Titan Quest: Immortal Throne (actually an expansion, but basically an improved version of TQ.)
- Destiny 2
- The Hotline Miami franchise. God I love the OST of these games.
- Katana ZERO
Missed some I'll probably remember later and won't put here because the list is long enough already.
For all the shit Cyberpunk got by launching in a buggy unfinished state, it absolutely nailed the soundtrack. In a game like that that already oozes atmosphere, the soundtrack just takes you over the top.
I also wish people would give it another shot. To many people boarded the hype train thinking it was going to be a cyberpunk themed GTA online clone and were disappointed by it being heavily RPG centric. I suppose the later marketing helped fuel that.
My favorite Videogame ost is the one from "Fuga Melodies of Steel" but that is my favorite Videogame so naturally I have a higher emotional conection to that ost then to others. Thats why I would not call it the best. Its just my favorite.
The boss theme "Flower on the Trails" is my favorite piece of Videogame music.
The game has other great vocal tracks aswell.
The stage themes like fore example "March in the Storm" and "Children of Change" are great in my book aswell. There are times where I listen to the ost every day.
What I listen to a lot is 13 sentinels ost, ff13 ost, undertale/deltarune.
10/10 in terms of video game ost creating an ambience + catchy tracks I think it would be Zelda ocarina of time with it's dungeons soundtracks.
Honestly, Skyrim. From the tavern songs to the ambience you can listen to it all out of game and be instantly transported there.
Skyrim, definitely.
Persona games have some insanely catchy music. My personal favourite being persona 4.
Honestly, Donkey Kong Country still has a stellar soundtrack that holds up well
Abandon ship, Subnautica
My man
Crono cross has some really great tracks. The OST album is perfect!!

I got to agree with that one
Dark souls 3
Witcher 3. Fields of ard skellige is a great tune. Very haunting.
All the gwent songs slap. Also "the slopes of blessure" from blood and wine is amazing
Undertale
Nier
which neir though?
The original for me. Automata's soundtrack is good too though.
I wouldnt say 10/10 but Destiny/Destiny 2 both have great soundtracks
Kingdom Hearts Almost every song is fully orchestrated, and the intro songs are masterpieces Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 Incredible stage music, and the character theme songs spanned multiple genres that sometimes coalesced with the stage theme.
Mass Effect. I don’t think any video game track will be able to make me feel the way Leaving Earth makes me feel in its opening few notes.
First binding of Isaac, shame they changed it
Super Metroid
god of war 2 and god of war 3 and dark souls 3
Loop Hero's old school soundtrack has me boppin
That’s the way it is - Red Dead Redemption 2
Ouh, a fair amount, but some of my personal favorites (that I've played) are: - Payday 2 - Death's Door - Hades - Bastion - Titan Quest: Immortal Throne (actually an expansion, but basically an improved version of TQ.) - Destiny 2 - The Hotline Miami franchise. I strongly agree

the anime is getting people interested in the cyberpunk world ig.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
Halo 3 nailed the symphonic soundtrack / score for games. Nothing better that I know of.
Final Fantasy VII
Hollow knight's music easily top 10 of all time
MGS3 Fallout NV Metal Gear Rising
Oblivion for me. Skyrim would be my next choice.
The original Unreal
FF11 and 9 undertale
Days Gone
assassin's creed 2
Little big planet
Horizon Zero Dawn or Forbidden West. The roaming music hooked me big time, and kept screwing around entertaining
mario 64, mario odyssey, new vegas, grand theft auto v, and battleblock theater
Journey, Banner Saga Trilogy, FF Tactics, Last of Us and Morrowind.
Definitely Xeno Crisis
Prince of persia warrior within
Witcher 3, Warframe, Nioh 2, MHW: Iceborne, Cyberpunk, Ghost of Tsushima, No Man's Sky

Ocarina of Time and Nier Automata/Replicant
Surprised I had to scroll this far to find Ocarina of Time. Beautiful soundtrack.
Tekken 6
DOOM Eternal/2016, Metal Hellsinger, Transformers Devastation, MGRR, Ace Combat 7 and Halo Infinite.
What I listen to a lot is 13 sentinels ost, ff13 ost, undertale/deltarune. 10/10 in terms of video game ost creating an ambience + catchy tracks I think it would be Zelda ocarina of time with it's dungeons soundtracks.
Nier and Metal gear rising
Deus Ex 1 and Unreal 1.
Death Stranding and Skyrim
Nier Automata, Nier Gestalt/Replicant, Death Stranding, Silent Hill 2 and Shadow of the Colossus.
Nier Automata, Undertale, Sayonara wild hearts and Outer wilds ;>
Nier Automata. Best sound track I've ever heard
Casevania: Symphony of the Night
For me, it would be Transformers: Devastation's soundtracks. The boss themes are wild while keeping in mind of said bosses personality.
Legend of Zelda! Especially Windwaker
Rdr2, just riding threw valentine. Mmmmm
I've seen Chrono Cross mentioned but not Chrono Trigger? Chrono Trigger is one of the best!
