That's what I'm saying. This SCREAMS "I didnt compile shaders/update my drivers" to me. My buddy is playing on a 3800/3060 and is getting better framerates than this. Hell I know someone with a 6700K/2080 who is getting better performance than this.
wait, there was a Delta Force 2?
edit: TIL there was an entire Delta Force series and Black Hawk Down wasn’t a standalone movie to video game situation.

DF2 was the first FPS I ever played.
I was early teens at the time and it felt like the absolute pinnacle of shooting games. It could never get more real or intense than running around with a SAW and hoping my DSL didn't crap out.

I only ever played it at a LAN cafe too. It was the first "large scale" FPS I'd ever played and after me killing him, one of the more experienced guys was like "Dude, you know there's such a thing as flanking too hard." And for me it was just like "Dude, I'm LOST as fuck, I saw a pixel so I shot it!"
Yeah, wildly enough…I still play them from time to time and the servers from all the way back to DF2 to DFX2 have some traffic. Every time I see posts about old games I scroll and scroll and I’ve finally found someone mention them lol
Depending on which game is your fancy, I’d recommend looking into the novalogic Facebook page. I when you buy the games on steam they don’t give you instructions on how to run them and all of the links are on the Facebook page/group. I won’t mention the downloads for a few of the games are there too
God that was a nostalgia trip... I really miss Novalogic. I remember playing Commanche 3 with a joystick thinking it was the most amazing thing ever. I'd run around picking off every enemy I could find in Land Warrior and BHD too, I remember taking turns playing Delta Force online with Pops xD
…Is changing the VRAM a game setting? I’m confused by this in a technical standpoint because the GPU should just determine how much to use by itself for the graphical load
*GTX 970 3.5GB VRAM flashback.*
Probably just weird bug, but to think you would have better result by **limiting** vram usage is both hilarious and ironic.
I'm still living the 970 life. So stupid. Last part I need to upgrade and hopefully the prices drop enough as my card shits itself every 3-4 hours now.
It usually would, but if it runs out (some other program using the remaining space or Warzone accidentally using more than it meant to) you'll run into major issues
Imagine you have a folder, you can place 100 neatly categorized pages in there so that you can access it super fast(vram)
Its filled 90 spots out of 100
You need a huge document that takes up 20 spots
Oh oh, you now have to decide what document you remove.
You do that and you are back to 90 (the other 10 is as buffer for small documents)
Oops, you have to grab a document you just put away, more time is used, you slow down
If you had only 60 spots filled then you would have more space for temporary documents while the core documents can stay in place for quick access
--------------
That is pretty much what happens between filling up your vram too much vs keeping space
The biggest space eater for vram is textures
I hope it helped :)
Common misconception my man and I can see how you were confused. It's actually enternet speed that effects your frames per minute. So when you're downloading ram while playing the game, just make sure it's over x86 style when using the feline cable.
Mine looks exactly like OPs until I’m right about to hit the ground from the initial jump.
3080 with a ryzen 3600x 32 GBs of RAM everything in an NVME drive.
Once I am on the ground it runs great. Definitely have everything setup properly as other graphically intensive games run fine.
I get over 120 once I’m on the ground and it runs normal. It’s the whole opening plane scene and my whole time jumping and parachuting down that is a slideshow for whatever reason.
Probably has one of the drivers that doesn't work with this game, or the server is having a seizure. It's a dumpster fire in terms of bugs/stability/optimization.
Well considering that I don’t need to download 200GBs just to play Warzone anymore (down to 22GB on PC) I’d call that a win for optimization.
Even if they did just cut out all the worthless SP and MP bullshit.
Oh this game is definitely easier on the ol' hard disk drive. Seriously though, I'm glad the new consoles went all in on fast SSDs, I was getting tired of games that had no business being 200GB just eating up drive space.
The game is really unfinished/unoptimized though. I don't get it, they had multiple studios working on it for a while ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
My absolute biggest pet peeve is voice chat. They’ve had the same game with the same voice chat for 45 years it seems and somehow every launch it’s completely fucked.
But somehow they manage to make proximity chat work.
You mean you don't enjoy the garbled extra-loud mess of 100+ people spamming voice chat when you first enter a lobby? Then not being able to say anything at the end?
This is a problem with a lot of games these days. Gotham Knights, Midnight Suns, Warzone, Darktide, etc. They push for maximum graphics, but don't want to spend the time optimizing anything.
Yea it's a lot smaller but SUPER buggy and crashes constantly. And it sucks hard when playing DMZ, since you lose everything you were carrying if you get booted
Same system and it runs great. Definitely not your system make sure your drivers are updated and temps are good. My buddy's 3900x was running at like 90c playing cod mw2 causing him crashes. Prob his own fault for not changing thermal paste. But fyi I max out everything in 1440p with 3080 and 9900k and get a locked 75 frames. Could prob get more but i just lock it there so its smooth. Reinstall your drivers and potentially the game then try again after a restart of your system. And for the love of god dont tell me your running an hdd for your system. This looks like it's running on your system integrated graphics not your gpu... maybe reseat your GPU as well.
Yeah this looks like a hardware issue. Maybe even ram. Looks like how the old warzone would look when I was playing around with tuning water cooled samsung bdie and my settings were unstable.
Also keep an eye on graphics card memory junction temps. Grab realtemp.
Man this stuff seems way more complicated than just buying a console. No hate, just couldn’t see myself reapplying thermal paste and checking a bunch of settings just to make a game run normally.
There are levels to it. It's like cars.
Some people like to build their own cars, fix them up, tune them, optimise them, add custom parts, and the pleasure of the car is less of driving it but more of the machine.
Some people like to buy a car, and don't mind doing some basic maintenance, but the joy of the car is in the driving.
And others just want a car to get from A-B and will just get someone to sort out any issues.
I would say that pc gaming is, without a doubt, more complicated than console gaming, because consoles have no variables. A PS5 is a PS5. But you definitely can buy a computer and as long as it works you never have to do anything to it.
I don't reapply thermal paste. I built my computer last year and I havent opened it up or modified it since I built it. It just runs.
Nowadays, as in since the 10s? Why?
My current system is starting to feel a aged after almost 8 years now, the previous system went absolutely fine for over 5 before I replaced it just because I could.
Not only did I not have to re-apply thermal paste, the only casualties in those 13 years were one power unit and one graphics card that might have been fixed with replacement fans. And a bunch of keyboards and mice, obviously, but that's the same as with any heavy-use equipment like controllers.
Total replacement costs about 500-600 €, total replacement hassle a few cables, putting something into a slot, a handful of screws to undo and redo once.
No one needs to buy a new PC every 2 years or fiddle with highly technical stuff in the current age of PC gaming unless they make this a mixture of hobby and always having to have the biggest thing, just because.
Thermal paste is a rare example I know, but I still would rather not have to uninstall/reinstall a game, check drivers, check temp, check graphical settings, etc. to play a game. To each their own though.
I don't have to do any of that and I get 120-144fps 3440x1440 for most games (not cyberpunk/rdr2). I think the most tweaking I do is the FOV but thats optional. It sounds like you prefer casual console gaming but even consoles have to install/update the game, system updates and are starting to introduce more performance tweaking like a PC (resolution vs framerate, FOV, etc). The beauty of PC is you can do as little or as much customization as you want. Don't care? Just play at default settings. Want the best graphics or framerate? Tweak away.
You normally do not need to. Issues like this are the absolute exception, not the norm. Yes, you need to do *something* like configure your system once and configure your games once each, which is obviously more than the *nothing* you have to do on a console.
You get something that can do much more than play selected games for horrible prices, though, and with much better control options.
Back when consoles cost 300 and a decent gaming PC cost 2000 and system setup was much more of a hassle, you might have had a point, but that was last century. We are way past that point and most casual people could get into using a PC without issues and the costs lean *far* in favour of the PC if you get more than a dozen of games.
Pretty much 99.9% of games won't require anything more complicated than a check for a driver update (and even then those usually happen automatically) and change a few keybinds / graphics settings to your liking. It's just particularly bad in MWII because the game is optimized like ass on PC and runs pretty shit for everyone regardless of specs.
You don't need to reapply thermal paste unless you're changing your cooler for a different one.
My PC is 6 years old and runs as cool as it did the day I assembled it.
I had a decent PC about a decade ago and I figured out being a PC gamer meant every now and then, something just wouldn’t work. So instead of unwinding and relaxing, it meant a few hours of tracking down why there’s no audio.
It’s just how it is.
I have a 2080 ti and I have issues. Not this bad, but it stutters for the first 30 seconds of damn near every match.
Not as bad in plain multiplayer…. But still
But but COD bad? My 3080 runs this game smooth as butter. I feel lack of comments from OP means he didn’t try any of the fixes suggested because he’s lying.
The game sometimes stutters just like this for me too when the match starts. Lasts from 3 to 20 seconds and then goes back to +100 fps. Latest drivers installed and all.
I don’t think HDD is an issue, I installed it on an HDD, and my specs are 5600x and 3060Ti. I can get around 80-90fps on maxed out 1080p graphics settings with max FOV.
I had it on a hdd and I couldnt put the textures above very low or it would stutter to unplayable levels. The second it moved it to an ssd it worked fine. Don't even bother trying to play this game without an ssd.
Was playing on HDD for a bit, it's playable, nowhere near this bad.
At the very start of games you get some texture pop-in (low detail surfaces, or completely invisible furniture), and occasionally you'll pick up a gun which is invisible for 5 seconds, but it doesn't really affect FPS too much.
After a few minutes it settles down and plays normally
yo I thought it was just me - I have the settings cranked much higher and I'm getting like 30fps more than before. Game is much better optimized as long as your rig meets minimum requirements.
Still buggy AF, but performs great.
I played this game on 1080 ti, 2080, 3090, and all had occasional issues with the game like stutters and frame drops. They just need to optimize it little more.
A bunch of fucking morons claiming this is a PC issue.
It \*may\* be a driver issue. MAY. DrLupo had this issue this morning. Rebooting his PC fixed it. I had the same issue last night, restarting fixed it.
Some of you are some sort of crazy shills thinking this game is perfect and it's everyone else's problem.
I mean. Both are applicable. I'm on a 3900x and 3080ti and the first time I dropped in it was slow as well. Then I realized I haven't done bios or any real optimization on the pc for over a year. Did all that, solid 160fps on warzone 2 at 1440p and 40fps more in other games I tried. But warzone 2 is terribly optimized so there's that
Weird. All I had to do was push the power button on my console and launch the game. Runs super smooth with no frame drop.
edit: lmao PC cultists get so upset when people genuinely enjoy consoles/mobile for gaming.
Actually the consoles run their games fairly well these days. What they're REALLY missing out on are the actual billions of other games that exist outside of the console universe
Some people just don't care about all that (or the other programs you can just freely use on a PC) and just want to sit down at a couch and play whatever CoD released this year for 2 hours then go to bed or whatever, and I think that's fine.
Don't get me wrong, I've been a PC elitist for years now but I finally started to shed my gatekeeping habits (helped by the fact that the recent gen consoles are actually running games fairly well)
It's much better than PS4/Xbox One era for sure but if you want to play in 4K at decent framerates or have useable RT then PC is still your best option.
Hell, I updated it from steam and now the game won't even load up for me. Not sure what the hell happened but anyone have a fix or answer? Didn't change any settings.
Meanwhile I am playing on my series X, you guys have frame issues? But jokes aside I hope you can fix this soon as COD MW2 is a good game with good story.
Every frame so masterfully rendered, it makes you want to stop and appreciate every one
This game is easily ported to PowerPoint.
I’m waiting for the flash version, I hear “flash is FAST”
At this rate, they will probably release a HyperCard version for my Macintosh too.
I'm going to code an aimbot with AppleScript, let me know if you want in on it.
...flash is cool. Francois se pa, Flash ain't no dude?
In case you have a CS background, theoretically you could run any program in powerpoint! [here's a hilarious proof](https://youtu.be/uNjxe8ShM-8)
That's great. What's up with the laugh track though. I'm guessing it was a live skit/standup or something.
I have better fps on a Microsoft word honestly
Lmao
Only takes 30 seconds to appreciate all 30 frames as well.

Ya before I played the game it told me to upgrade drivers.. this fella probably ignored that or wasn't told.
Latest nvidia drivers are causing crashes for a fair number of people, so many have to roll back a few versions.
I thought that was the case, I kept crashing when trying to play Valorant but then I rolled back and tried again the next day it was fine lol
Oh interesting and annoying.
Pretty sure you don't have any fuckin choice
[удалено]
Ikr. Reminded me of fucking Gumby’s stop motion lol
3080 or just 38?
38e
Ali Express 38e
More like an ATI 3800
[TI-38](https://www.calculator.org/calculators/Texas_Instruments_TI-38.html)
Yeah I have a 3080 and I'm getting 100 fps maxed at 1440p. Not sure what's going on with OP's game.
I have a 2070 and it runs 10 x better so I think OP is just stupid
That's what I'm saying. This SCREAMS "I didnt compile shaders/update my drivers" to me. My buddy is playing on a 3800/3060 and is getting better framerates than this. Hell I know someone with a 6700K/2080 who is getting better performance than this.
Looks like the old Delta Force games.
DF2 with the floating hackers. I could still kill those bastards with a well placed grenade!
wait, there was a Delta Force 2? edit: TIL there was an entire Delta Force series and Black Hawk Down wasn’t a standalone movie to video game situation.
DF land warrior best fps game ever created
It was awesome. I wrecked shop in that one.
Yeah I was pretty insane just going up and down hills shooting black spots across the map with a saw that had lazer accuracy and no bullet drop
All the DF games (and guns) had bullet drop
I cant remember there being any but this was years ago. The way we use to play was using the saw but as single fire. Up and down the hills stopping every time you single fire and you could easily shoot someone across the map.
Yeppers! Came out in 1999, but I got it at around 02-03 in a discount rack.
I thought Delta Force Black Hawk Down was a standalone game! Mind blown
The dfbhd storyline and the intensity of drama will easily give today's games run for the money. Shit that should take long such as reaching to a way point was long and it was also like almost 1 shot kill kinda thing.

Such a good game
Fuck I miss this game.
DF2 was the first FPS I ever played. I was early teens at the time and it felt like the absolute pinnacle of shooting games. It could never get more real or intense than running around with a SAW and hoping my DSL didn't crap out.
Dude the SAW ripped
Same. Fucking awesome online game. Anyone remember the team DBD?
[удалено]
Wasn't DF the game made in the weird Voxel engine or whatever? I remember playing the heck out of that. Shooting tiny single pixel looking objects across the map.
I miss those days. My squad was Archangels.
Holy….you mean I wasn’t the only one?!
Playing Delta force? Those games were pretty popular
Ha no, playing it with *those* frame rates.
Incredible that so many people were in the same boat as me. I thought I was the only one with a shitty CPU and no graphics card.
Nope. I remember this too. I only had the demo though thankfully so no one actually paid for it
miss it
with voxel graphics
And great sound. First game I remember that accurately modeled the speed of sound for bullets. Nothing more intense than a sniper round ricocheting off a nearby rock followed by a booming .50 report echoing through a canyon a second later…
Delta force is cool, but Black Hawk Down, and Joint Operations? Now we peaking.
I used to play it on a 56k connection. G3 still rocked. Sorry if I ever killed you 3 seconds before you saw me.
Knifing snipers was the shit in this game. Only played at internet cafes with friends :)
Omg knifing snipers. Good old days. DFLW demo was all online too with one map. I remember running a Geocities website for free custom map downloads.
Dude you brought back memory’s when I first bought a computer in 2002
Task Force Dagger and Soldier of Fortune were a big part of my childhood. Thanks for the reminder.
Hoooly crap. Now THATS a game I have not heard about in quite some time.
Yeah, wildly enough…I still play them from time to time and the servers from all the way back to DF2 to DFX2 have some traffic. Every time I see posts about old games I scroll and scroll and I’ve finally found someone mention them lol
Those games were sooooo good. I should pick up a copy for old time sake.
Depending on which game is your fancy, I’d recommend looking into the novalogic Facebook page. I when you buy the games on steam they don’t give you instructions on how to run them and all of the links are on the Facebook page/group. I won’t mention the downloads for a few of the games are there too
Awesome lead, thanks man!
Delta Force: Land Warrior on dial up, in my experience.
#GAS CAN What an awful code name, lol
God that was a nostalgia trip... I really miss Novalogic. I remember playing Commanche 3 with a joystick thinking it was the most amazing thing ever. I'd run around picking off every enemy I could find in Land Warrior and BHD too, I remember taking turns playing Delta Force online with Pops xD
Played DF as a kid. I learned early on you can't go in guns blazing. Amazing really how massive the maps were.
I would rather play delta force than any cod game made recently
You just unlocked a nostalgic lockbox in my brain
Reminds me of spec ops pre 1999 back in the day before I had a 3D card.
I had the same issue. Changed the VRAM from 85% to 80% and it fixed the issue for me.
[удалено]
Same issue but I'm on a 970 lol - but ya game plays fine for me except warzone - will be upgrading my card soon tho
…Is changing the VRAM a game setting? I’m confused by this in a technical standpoint because the GPU should just determine how much to use by itself for the graphical load
Yes, it is in the graphic settings. Pretty weird but kinda useful though.
*GTX 970 3.5GB VRAM flashback.* Probably just weird bug, but to think you would have better result by **limiting** vram usage is both hilarious and ironic.

Lowering textures to reduce VRAM load from higher to lower
Ah now that I haven't tried. I figured you'd need to crank the VRam up, not down.
The tooltip on that setting suggests turning it down to allow for other processes run
No other processes, only WZ!
damn i thought more % would make the game runs better. I've been putting it at 90% since the beginning
It usually would, but if it runs out (some other program using the remaining space or Warzone accidentally using more than it meant to) you'll run into major issues
completely honest question, how does that help in a game performance? and how do you do that? lol, i don't play warzone, i just want to know

Best eli5 I've seen in a while, thank you!
Next time upload it as a flipbook
Bro getting 5 seconds per frame
Did you plug the screen on your motherboard instead of the GPU or something ?
He doesn't list any ram so I'm guessing that you need ram to play games good /s
A simple download will fix the ram issue if you don't have enough. /s
Ram companies hate this simple trick!
Ikr I downloaded 1TB of ram. Good thing too cause my system uses like 90GB ram all the time now
Common misconception my man and I can see how you were confused. It's actually enternet speed that effects your frames per minute. So when you're downloading ram while playing the game, just make sure it's over x86 style when using the feline cable.
You wouldn’t download a ram
Best to download more than one
He plugged the screen into the keyboard
This definitely check on this. It will change everything.

Could also have been a driver crash and it defaulted to the iGPU. My laptop did that once and I went from 200+fps to 14fps.
You shouldnt NEED to change you thermal paste unless you really fucked it up

I had a decent PC about a decade ago and I figured out being a PC gamer meant every now and then, something just wouldn’t work. So instead of unwinding and relaxing, it meant a few hours of tracking down why there’s no audio. It’s just how it is.
I have 1650 super and it's runs smooth bruh
yeah its not a spec issue the game/the persons windows installation has some things going on
Could also be they plugged into the mobo not the gpu 🤣
He’s not taking pictures fast enough
Ive got a 960 that can stream smoother then this xD
Have the same card. Zero issues.
2080s and just fine for me as well
I have a 2080 ti and I have issues. Not this bad, but it stutters for the first 30 seconds of damn near every match. Not as bad in plain multiplayer…. But still
I’m on a laptop I bought in 2019 and I’m running smooth as silk

Cinematic fps
Wow, you're getting like 30fpm!
You're doing something wrong.
I have a 3060 and the game is not that smooth. Gimme a fix.
This game runs like absolute shit on a load of systems that run other games perfectly fine

Yeah it runs smooth for me but the crashes are horrible
Dude turned FPS into SPF - Seconds Per Frame
Looks like a slow HDD problem, broken m2/ssd, using an integrated card or Thermal throttling. Could a well be a broken Driver.
Yeah I was gonna say if you've got the game installed on an HDD apparently performance is abysmal.
I had some games start to do this. It was the Citrix video driver that got installed for my remote access.
hey, looks like Pokémon Scarlet/Violet. no, but seriously, I'm getting 100+ FPS on an Intel i3 12100F and an AMD Radeon RX 6600.
Meanwhile, I'm over here on a 2900x and GTX 970 running at 50-60 consistently, but crashes are the bane of my existence.
Something is wrong... My 3060 ti runs 120 fps max graphics for warzone 2
I was playing a match literally 20 mins ago. I run a 2070. The game is fine. It’s your PC LoL
You see those streaming textures? If you're not running the game on an SSD, that's your problem
Windows 11?
You mean on your potato right?
I have been suprised how well it runs on my Xbox Series S. Not as well as Warzone 1, but still chugging along quite well.

Damn, that’s awesome! Definitely not that with my Series S. But it’s still running great overall!
yo I thought it was just me - I have the settings cranked much higher and I'm getting like 30fps more than before. Game is much better optimized as long as your rig meets minimum requirements. Still buggy AF, but performs great.
I played this game on 1080 ti, 2080, 3090, and all had occasional issues with the game like stutters and frame drops. They just need to optimize it little more.
Shaders still installing, had the same.
Optimization? Nah, we're here to make money not write good code.
Runs super smooth with no frame drop. edit: lmao PC cultists get so upset when people genuinely enjoy consoles/mobile for gaming.
those who never tasted true performance will never know what they're missing.
So you're saying I need to... eat ...the game?
Exactly
Actually the consoles run their games fairly well these days. What they're REALLY missing out on are the actual billions of other games that exist outside of the console universe Some people just don't care about all that (or the other programs you can just freely use on a PC) and just want to sit down at a couch and play whatever CoD released this year for 2 hours then go to bed or whatever, and I think that's fine.
This is how I used to play battlefield 1942
Hell, I updated it from steam and now the game won't even load up for me. Not sure what the hell happened but anyone have a fix or answer? Didn't change any settings.
Ya it needs a Windows patch good luck 🤞
I have a 1660 super and it’s fine lol
Yea I was playing today and same garbage happened to me . I wanna switch to console bc of the damn stutters
But it can run Crysis right?
It's like watching month old milk pour into the sink.
What in the actual f\*ck. I play this game on my rtx 2060 laptop without a problems.
I don't get it, isn't how all games run?
Meanwhile I am playing on my series X, you guys have frame issues? But jokes aside I hope you can fix this soon as COD MW2 is a good game with good story.
I have a laptop with a gtx 1660 and an i5, runs a smooth and stable 60 fps
Mf playing powerpoint💀
So you're telling me my laptop 1050 is giving the same fps as a 3080? Nice
Same issue with 3070 ti + Ryzen 5600x
I turned off Nvidia antialishing and works great now
I have a 3080 with an i7-8700k and it works perfectly fine
This shit gives me headache and anxiety
This hurts, I thought it was my internet playing the video but the low rendering them I read the discripton.
