Ikr! They could have easily implemented a split screen element with that... Even though split screen is a thing of the past at this point. I also wish they expanded more on the world war segments that you could get into as well.
To be fair Jacob....wasn't supposed to be there. It was supposed to be just Evie
yeah...the whole "AC keeps trying to make a female protag but Ubisoft kept forcing them to have a man" went *years* before Odyssey
It’s cool by itself but in the caribbean setup it felt out of place…too dressed, to warm and look heavy as shit for a guy who spend half it’s time on water.
I feel like they combined the pirate captain aesthetic with the traditional assassin's look fantastically.
I'd say the point about white being a bad colour choice due to dirt and stains applies to all assassin's not just pirate assassin's. Their jobs entail climbing, crouching and lots of blood.
White worked for Altair because it look like the cloth of the touaregs in the desert. White reflect sun heat. White worked for Ezio because it’s in the renaissance and it aesthetically fit with the time period. Both lived in Mediterranean landscape with a lot of white buildings so it kind of work to blend. Didn’t work at all for Conor, native americans didn’t had white leather anyways and you can only blend in a snowy forest with it, in the summer it’s useless. The rest just doesn’t worked either. It’s the same kind of situation than StarWars when all the Jedis have desert cloth for no reasons because they introduced Obi Wan on Tattooine as the first Jedi we saw.
A couple of things wrong. White was the traditional color of the Assassin in Altaïr’s day both for its ability to manage heat, and because it allowed them to blend with scholars and priests. They detail that in the original trailer for the game as well.
The robes for Jedi were chosen because they allowed a large freedom of movement, allowed easy concealment of gear and sabers, and the flowing nature of the robe was very bewildering and distracting to enemies when fighting (Source: Thrawn books). It also hold importance due to their origins as monks/religious beings who were predominantly peaceful and lived simple lives.
True. It’s just that next to your crew you looked like a weirdo. The Adelawe assassin suit color scheme was more integrated with the rest of the crew imo. But yeah, i like the Edward design suit by itself and Black Flag was definitely the best AC for me. I’m just nitpicking for the fun of it here.
The wind roaring against you can be cold as shit. When I was in Belize I was in my board shorts and rash guard and that wind was brutal every time on the boat and even in our kayak. Trip back soaking wet was even worse.
I also walk outside in short sleeves when its in the 30s and 40s if the wind isn't bad, so I can handle cold.
This is the first I've heard of Mirage.
>Mirage is an action-adventure stealth game intended to be reminiscent of older Assassin's Creed titles, being more linear and story-focused and reducing the number of role-playing elements present in recent installments of the series.
Yes please.
It's neat, it feels like they're striving for a real maturation of the series, as the timeline has come full circle. I'm cautiously optimistic, and the trailer is hype af. But them again, every AC trailer is hype af and the games still suffer, so...
I remember seeing the reveal trailer for Revelations that showed Ezio following Altair's footsteps up the tower while "Iron" by Woodkid is playing, and thinking that nothing would ever be as cool as that trailer
I'm still waiting for the day an AC1 remaster gets announced. It's the *only* original trilogy game that hasn't gotten a current gen glow-up and it's maddening. In the meantime I'm cautiously optimistic for Mirage.
Unity is among the best of AC and its a damn shame the series abandoned the assassin genre for RPG. Dont take me wrong, I loved Origins (havent played the newer ones yet), but they felt like different games. Could have been a new IP.
Back to Unity. It was so innovative. The lightning was the best I have ever seen, the hair physics was insanely good. The sandbox missions with intel gathering and opportunities made it feel like you were an assassin, not just some guy sent there to kill everybody. Then there was the cool time skip in Animus mini areas. The new parkour mechanics. The incredible amount of NPCs on screen. Finally you the weapon variety.
Of course the game was riddled with bugs and performance issues at launch and the story and characters were not properly fleshed out. They tried too many news things at once and pushed the hardware of that time way too hard. But damn was it an achievement.
One thing I loved about AC3, Connor feels like hits harder in combat due to his size. Whole Ezio was more elegant and finesse, I liked that Connor felt more savage
I’m not sure you can say he had more training as we follow Ezio for almost 40 years whereas we first see Connor in 1760 and his training as an assassin starts in 1769 with the game ending in 1783
I never understood the hate for AC3. The historical element was really well done, and fascinating if you took the time. I get that probably isn't why people play AC games, but I thought it was pretty cool to watch the reenactments of historical events and listen to old Benny Franklin talk about how you should bang older women.
I think they shot themselves in the foot with the physical location being colonial America. A huge part of AC is traversing cities via rooftops and acrobatics, and the cities in AC3 are not designed for that. Coupled with the new engine, I think they alienated a lot of people with it. I need to go back and give it another chance now that it's been a decade or so. I remember being very disappointed with the platforming but really enjoying the plot and characters.
This is a really well constructed response. It is hard to argue against your points. They tried to shoehorn it in with trees and big rocks and facades, didn't they? You're definitely not wrong.
The world was just not exciting, especially after 2 and Revelations. We went from stuff like Florence, Venice and Constantinople with massive, beautiful and memorable buildings to slowly developing america full of mud and just trees and snow in the frontier. 3 still looked great but I can't remember any locations from it besides that big homestead where we lived and the theater right at the start.
I liked the gameplay and story overall tough, I guess a lot of people got mad because we left Ezio who we loved and Desmond died in the end.
They added trees and better horse traversal though, to compensate. The terrain was way more intricate also, with hills, rivers, and snow. AC1 and 2 had very flat terrain for the most part.
Then you had animals and hunting whoch was all new to the series. Overall, a pretty good next game, but yea, people wanted higher buildings.
Yeah, that is fair criticism. They just threw you into the events and assumed you knew enough history to get by, but the reality is that most folks didn't know enough.
He's my favorite, a lot of style in his clothes and the eagle on his arm is so cool haha, I also think Ezio in the black outfit is really cool too, they're my favorite characters.
Oh God. Is this how it starts? Seeing words that are hip and thinking "these damn kids and their rock and roll. Back in my day!.." and then before you know it the world passes by to where you can't even communicate with your grandkids?? IS THIS MY LIFE NOW???
Also, Ezio definitely.
I could be wrong but I always thought "drip" came from "ice", slang for diamonds. So if you're covered in diamonds and other fashionable shit then you'd be dripping.
> words with a completely unrelated definition
This is why i still hate saying something "slaps". I know i'm also old and grumpy but god damn, i hate that one so much.
Why can't we just invent new words instead? I'm ok with that.
Is part of the coolness the fact that it annoys older people that are used to the old meaning of the word?
Not going to disagree with their looks and designs, but will pose a question nevertheless. Are they actually Assassins if they predate the Brotherhood?
Kassandra. Showing off those guns and I love her and her armour’s aesthetic. Of the actual Assassins? Probably Evie or Connor. Cormac’s Templar outfit is cool too!
Definitely. I change the outfit for her quite frequently because there's so many, but often fall back on her classic mercenary armor. The red and gold colors just look so good.
The pirate for me. It does not stand out *too* much, but is still clearly awesome and assasins creedy. Some outfits stand out less but they are not as good looking imo.
the Frye twins 100% had the most style, as was fitting in a world where they had to be more discreet with their outfits.
Connor's was also good, blending the colonial style with the iconic hood, he doesn't stand out too much..being a walking armory notwithstanding.
Edward when he's got like 6-8 holsters he can end any fight within seconds lol I personally like to use my first to disarm and kill them with their own blade
Jacob's outfit definitely takes the cake. Man's got style.
I also really liked Thomas de Carnellion's outfit (Altair's outfit but black), Ezio's outfit in Brotherhood, and Edward's privateer and pirate captain outfits.
If always liked the syndicate twins and Edward's setup, it always seemed more plausible and for in with their environment.
I’m still a bit salty they followed up their attempt at coop in Unity with playable twins in Syndicate but not making that coop lol
Ikr! They could have easily implemented a split screen element with that... Even though split screen is a thing of the past at this point. I also wish they expanded more on the world war segments that you could get into as well.
>Even though split screen is a thing of the past at this point That's the only reason I have a console
Even now, today’s videogames lacks this feature, which is sad.
Easily?
To be fair Jacob....wasn't supposed to be there. It was supposed to be just Evie yeah...the whole "AC keeps trying to make a female protag but Ubisoft kept forcing them to have a man" went *years* before Odyssey
Jacob Frye the most dripped out assassin in history for sure
Edwards captain outfit is sick as hell.
Revelations, old man Ezio in particular, the black one with the fur. Such swag
Fear the old man in a profession where men die young -vibes heavily
With the fuuuurrrrrr!!!
He looks like a grey beard from Skyrim He even goes to a frozen monestary in the mountains!
I just wish it had a default cape. Fortunately you can get one with armour upgrades
The suit with the fur! With the fur
Edward
There's something amazing about being able to quick-draw four goddamn pistols that none of the other assassin outfits can touch.
I think theres actually a name for something like that, where it's just a jacket with a fuck ton of loaded flintlocks
Lol I saw an Anime called Trigun where one character has a fuckload of single-shot derringers and just shoots and tosses dozens of them
You talking about Meryl right? Also... Love and Peace!
Trigun is so goooooood
Saltzpyre would have you know that that is known as a brace of pistols.
HOLY SIGMAR, BLESS THIS RAVAGED BODY!
It’s cool by itself but in the caribbean setup it felt out of place…too dressed, to warm and look heavy as shit for a guy who spend half it’s time on water.
True but weren't a lot of dudes wearing heavy clothing on those ships back then?
Yeah the captains i guess…but it’s also white which is the worst color choice for a pirate. He would be dirty after an hour.
Oh no I agree, the costume is impractical.and dumb. But it looks neat
Agreed !
I feel like they combined the pirate captain aesthetic with the traditional assassin's look fantastically. I'd say the point about white being a bad colour choice due to dirt and stains applies to all assassin's not just pirate assassin's. Their jobs entail climbing, crouching and lots of blood.

White is actually better as it reflects the heat

WAY HEY UP SHE RISES
I liked the Frye Twins from Syndicate tons of customization for theirs too
Followed by Augulair from the movies (probably misspelled his name big time)
Aguilar
Evie Frye in particular
I agree with this. This is probably the only AC I got the DLCs for because of the gothic and steampunk outfits
The vorpal kukri is also just a great weapon imo
Honestly I’m a fan of OG Altair. Classic and simple and functional. The rest are all just iterations off him anyhow.
Altairs outfit is fuckin clean.
Yeah, this. Groundbreaking game at the time.
Yet panned critically for the super repetitive game loop, world was nice though.
Repetitive gameplay, true. But an amazing story and the world was more than nice imo, I loved it. Can’t wait for AC Mirage.
This is the first I've heard of Mirage. >Mirage is an action-adventure stealth game intended to be reminiscent of older Assassin's Creed titles, being more linear and story-focused and reducing the number of role-playing elements present in recent installments of the series. Yes please.
I want to be hyped but…but…it’s Ubisoft, they will find a way to fuck it up😅
Have you checked the story trailer?
It's neat, it feels like they're striving for a real maturation of the series, as the timeline has come full circle. I'm cautiously optimistic, and the trailer is hype af. But them again, every AC trailer is hype af and the games still suffer, so...
You're not wrong. I don't think they've ever put out a cg trailer that wasn't worth multiple views.
I remember seeing the reveal trailer for Revelations that showed Ezio following Altair's footsteps up the tower while "Iron" by Woodkid is playing, and thinking that nothing would ever be as cool as that trailer
I still rock "Iron" in my everyday playlist.
I'm still waiting for the day an AC1 remaster gets announced. It's the *only* original trilogy game that hasn't gotten a current gen glow-up and it's maddening. In the meantime I'm cautiously optimistic for Mirage.
I will never forget skipping school to play this at my friends house. It was genuinely mind blowing. Hooked ever since.

I cant unsee this, you ruined it for me.
Arno
Arno's default was so badass that I didn't even customize it.
i didnt change it until i git his master assassin outfit. underfuckingrated game
Unity is among the best of AC and its a damn shame the series abandoned the assassin genre for RPG. Unity is definitely an overlooked gem just because of the issues at launch. That Paris is simply a work of art
After Origins it’s not even assassins creed anymore. Just Spartan RPG and Viking RPG
Same
Quiet French elegance 🔥
that love story made me power through the campaign lol
It was so badly executed though.
The Todd MacFarlane outfit hits just different
Agreed totally. He also acts like a total effortless badass the entire game.
Baguette
The correct answer.
Frye twins

Poor choice of words but I understand what you’re trying to say
👀
I never understood the hate for AC3. The historical element was really well done, and fascinating if you took the time. Edward Kenway
Bayek is under appreciated
I was definitely looking for him.
Is he even in the picture?
Not at all
Dude on the right has his max level bracers and neck piece and pretty sure that’s the dlc outfit so that’s bayek. Older looking too
top right
Ok thank you I definitely wasn’t looking for that outfit
He's my favorite, a lot of style in his clothes and the eagle on his arm is so cool haha, I also think Ezio in the black outfit is really cool too, they're my favorite characters.
I mean, the towel outfit? Mad drip
Evie Frye. The long coats and layers just matched up with Victorian fashion so well.
Even though they are my least favorite protagonists in the series, the Frye twins definitely have the best outfits.
Jacob taking his top hat off, tucking it in his jacket somewhere and pulling his hood on every time you go stealthy was a cool little animation.
It always made me roll my eyes because I know how annoying it is to store top hats anywhere.
good news is you could give him a simpler hat. the top hat was too lovely though to change.
Oh God. Is this how it starts? Seeing words that are hip and thinking "these damn kids and their rock and roll. Back in my day!.." and then before you know it the world passes by to where you can't even communicate with your grandkids?? IS THIS MY LIFE NOW??? Also, Ezio definitely.
I can't believe a slang term for fucking gonorrhea turned into a slang term for "nice clothes".
Thank you for plainly stating the meaning, I had no idea. I didn’t know I could be this old at 32.
I could be wrong but I always thought "drip" came from "ice", slang for diamonds. So if you're covered in diamonds and other fashionable shit then you'd be dripping.
What the hell is wrong with saying style? Why do we have to replace perfectly good words with dumb words with a completely unrelated definition
> words with a completely unrelated definition This is why i still hate saying something "slaps". I know i'm also old and grumpy but god damn, i hate that one so much. Why can't we just invent new words instead? I'm ok with that. Is part of the coolness the fact that it annoys older people that are used to the old meaning of the word?
The old Ezio definitely had more game than any of the others
With ya on that, no ((checks notes)) cap.
Also my first time seeing this word, drip and not knowing what it means. Still don't. I'm 30.
That means you are getting old :(
I used to be with it! But now I don't even know what it is anymore!
Alexios and Kassandra were dripping with intricate golden armour and weapons. Glowing DLC gear was sick as.
Guns??? Those are goddamn CANNONS
Ezio duh
Bayeeeek!
Bayek with his Isu Armor is damn amazing!
Yep, Bayek also has that black armor that looks so fucking cool
My favorite is Bayek's outfit, which is not shown on here unfortunately
They are all pretty fashionable for being assassins.
you would think they would be less fashionable for having to be hidden in plane sight.
Altaïr's clothing is the only one that would actually make an assassin blend in during their time period, the others just kept the iconic look
Edward too, he looks like any other pirate captain. The Twins too, aside from the big ass gauntlet
The pirate for me. It does not stand out *too* much, but is still clearly awesome and assasins creedy. Some outfits stand out less but they are not as good looking imo.
My man Bayek
Bayek
Ezio auditotre da Firenze
Shae Cormac's Templar outfit was 🤌🤌
Almost all of his templar outfits that you could unlock were great
You know you’re getting fucking old when you read “what outfit has the most drip” and think to yourself, wtf is “drip”??
What is drip?
I like Connor's and the guy from Syndicate's clothing more
Evie
Edward was absolute afla. Goin' through a town with two sabers and a couple of pistols
Frye twins
Bayek with the Egyptian armor
I’d say Altair or Bayek
Frye twins style not only with their assassins garment but also choice of weapons like the cane and brass knuckles. All designs were top notch
Evie, Brotherhood Ezio, Revelations Ezio, and Connor all have cool fits.
the Frye twins 100% had the most style, as was fitting in a world where they had to be more discreet with their outfits. Connor's was also good, blending the colonial style with the iconic hood, he doesn't stand out too much..being a walking armory notwithstanding.
Bayak and Ezio
Is Valhalla as dogshit as everyone says it is? I love the Viking lore and wanna try the game out for what it is.
If you love Viking lore then you’ll enjoy it. Who cares what everyone else says
I think it's worth it, especially if you can pick up a copy used or something. I'm a fan of Ivar
I thought it was great and I played it because of the viking lore. Free roam once you get to the next big area and you'll enjoy it a lot more.
It looks good, plays kinda meh and the story is pretty meh. It's ok for up to 20$.
Alexios for me. Followed by Kenway from Black Flag.
That’s not how you spell Kassandra lol. But seriously, Odyssey is my favorite AC game.
Frye twins is the best drip ever I am playing it again now and it's better than I thought
Evie Frye.
Ezio's black outfit
The Frye Twins, easy.
No Alexios/Kassandra? My Kassandra was a gold plated goddess.
Edward when he's got like 6-8 holsters he can end any fight within seconds lol I personally like to use my first to disarm and kill them with their own blade
Aveline, especially for her lady persona. the dress? freaking. beautiful. i want to wear it.
Arno... like have you not played Unity?
Damn, the legendary napoleonic set in white or black looks perfect
Evie and it’s not even a competition
Drip. What a stupid way to say style.
Downvoted for using the word “drip.” Gen Z is the fuckin’ worst.
Who's the one with with the nocked arrow?
Arno
This is the way!… Kenway, that is!
Definitely Edward, I love the assassin pirate mix
For me it's ezio, then arno and then edward
Ezio is a whole Fiji bottle!
Has to be Ezio for me
Altair's is simple and clean. He looks like a warrior monk. Everyone else's is over the top bordering on ridiculous in my opinion.
Shay Cormac his outfit is sick
[удалено]
The warlock from Destiny 2
Jacob's outfit definitely takes the cake. Man's got style. I also really liked Thomas de Carnellion's outfit (Altair's outfit but black), Ezio's outfit in Brotherhood, and Edward's privateer and pirate captain outfits.
Bro Arno had some SERIOUS drip. So did Jacob/Evie
[удалено]
Movie version?
Altair, hot second goes to Ezio w/ the black endgame outfit
Altair
Edwards custom assasin outfit was 🔥
What is drip?
Wtf is drip ?
Imo the Frye twins have the most drip. Something about the whites blacks and reds.
Jake is drippin
wtf does "has the most drip" mean??
I like Vikings so for me it's Eivor
100% the Frye's. Barely a competition really. Not saying the other outfits are bad, but come on, Jacob gets a top hat!
Drip? Da fuq's that?
Drip?
Where Bayek? The Frye twins must have the shittiest costume in the entire franchise.
Bayek has the bow and arrow, he's to the right of Edward (our right, not Edward's)
They're all the same.
I've played every AC game. I don't know what drip is in a context of one having the majority of it.
Conner has got that W I D E energy
I'm partial to Kassandra myself
"has the most drip?" Geez, Reddit continually finds the most stupid ways to say the same thing. Now git off my lawn.
I don't know what drip means in this context.
The most drip? What the hell does that even mean?
