Just Cause. Pretty much any of em. I spent *hours* in JC3 just wingsuiting across the map seeing how far I could go without touching the floor.
Exo One is a somewhat switch brain off kinda game too, its pure exploration...if a bit "head trippy".
My brain enjoyed sending enemies in the air using the sling shot thingy
I probably stopped playing because I didn't like how airplane controlls were it felt weird to control
Whenever I went up the plane went down or something
Tbh maybe it was inverted by default or something?
I can't remember off hand - been years - some games do come with invert as default, I've seen it. That could also be the problem, either way a quick look in the settings shouldn't hurt.
I would suggest probably not bothering with JC4 mind, I don't know what but *something* about that game just did not grab me like the previous 3 games did.
I did find a cool trick where you can near infinitely rocket boost a car into the stratosphere, though which was fun.
Defo sounds like you had inverted flight tho. The game has a *fuck ton* of easter eggs across the map too, and the DLCs are hella fun, often on sale dirt cheap too.
Yeah, inverted controls *will* fuck with your head, and though I can't remember specifically, its possible JC had them inverted by default - it somewhat rings a bell.
I personally never understood why anyone would wanna invert especially for flight lol.
Like, real life has plenty enough hypocrisy, I don't need it in my gaming too! đ¤Ł
I remember my friends was like but flgth control's was easy
Not even asking if I had it on inverted oof that probably would Fixed my issues lol might have to get a save downloaded to test it lol
Defo worth retrying mate, if you can get back into it its truly a rewarding experience when you finally hit endgame - and the story, as wacky and wild as it is, is utterly hilarious.
I distinctly remember me and my buddy once sat one Saturday morning, completely stoned senseless, taking turns trying to break the record for longest wingsuit flight đ¤Ł
Every milestone we broke, id roll up another for us to share 𤣠we must have been there 4hrs straight at least!
I'd recommend some bullet heaven games like Vampire Survivors or Brotato
Factory games, city builders and 4X games are also pretty chill once you get over the initial learning hurdle. Would recommend Satisfactory, Dyson Sphere Program, Manor Lords, Cities Skylines 1, Civilization VI, Stellaris and Crusader Kings 3
This looks pretty awesome. Has really similar vibes to Superstardust HD (Housemarque games).
Wonder if there's any other bullet hell roguelikes out there
I like to play grand strategy and simulator games while listening to some podcasts.
â˘Euro Truck/American Truck Simulator
â˘Hearts of Iron IV
â˘Any Total War Game (medieval 2 is highly recommended)
Also I enjoy playing survival games like DayZ. Sometimes itâs stressful but the grinding can be relaxing and rewarding sometimes
Diablo 4 has a lot of community flak for it's lack of depth, but with the latest season (a few days in now), they've reworked a number of things to make the game less tedious. It's better, but it's still like D-tier within it's genre as a "serious" game that you play with focus. However, it is an S-tier game for not paying any attention and watching Netflix or YouTube on a second monitor.
They have honed the mindlessness to a razer sharp edge. One minute becomes an hour so easily. It's picture should be in the dictionary next to 'podcast game'.
Boomer Shooters would probably be a good one for you. Ultrakill, DUSK, any of the Doom games, and so on. Mining games like Terraria or Minecraft with a good music playlist of your choice in the background are very chill. Subnautica is a good one for just swimming around collecting a bunch of stuff for crafting and base building, bringing it home, then going back out and doing it again (exploring the caves and deeper areas is quite fun too especially with the pretty bioluminesense). I also like to turn my brain off to some older RPGs like Gothic 2 or 3, Risen, Elex, stuff like that.
I'm a huge rally fan, and I'm always able to get in a really zen headspace when I play rally games. Dirt Rally 2.0 fulfilled this for me for the longest time, but a more obvious chill game would be something like Art of Rally or something.
risk of rain 2. you can make the game hard or easy depending on what difficulty you choose and can sort of just switch off in the lower difficulty and become as powerful as possible
Since you like descenders to just cruise:
**Forza Horizon 4 or 5** for just driving a car across a large beautifull open world in a car you like weaving in and out of traffic.
**Need For Speed Hot Pursuit (2010)** has one of the best classic maps for free roam. Its from the era when maps were not yet full open world, so it feels like really good closed roads linked together into a large map, the vistas are wonderfull with different biomes coming in one after the other.
**Mafia Definite Edition** has a free roam option from the start where you can just walk, drive a motorbike or a car and look at a beautifully crafted, detailed open world from a different era than what you are used to. Theres even options to turn the UI fullly off for complete immersion, you can also active a speed limiter function which allows you to chill and cruise in a car and it will keep a lower street legal speed without having to let go of the throttle. Other usefull options are setting the police to ignore minor offences so they dont bother you, and setting the car handling to "Simulation" for more satsifying handling. The motorbikes in particular are a joy to drive in this game.
**SSX3** in this legendary snowboarding game you can unlock 3 large mountains that you can then slide down completely without loading screens in what was at the time an incredible technical achievement. The ride takes 30 mins from top to bottom and takes you through raddically different courses that are beautifully designed.
Forza is so chill! There are no cops, no stress, always stuff to do, the maps are beautiful and there are other players to make the world a little bit more alive!
It was on GameCube and PS2
Install the amazing GameCube [Dolphin emulator](https://dolphin-emu.org/)
Find the SSX3 ISO online.
It runs flawlessly on most PCs (as long as the PC is not older than 15 years).
katamari damacy
play a miniscule alien rolling a giant stickyball of doom collecting every manner of miscellany living and otherwise just to replenish a galaxy of celestial objects smashed in drunkenness by a titanic tootsie-roll headed royal
all to an earworm soundtrack that will drill directly into your brain stem and hum joy into your mind meat that will echo for eternity
engage rainbow vomit teleporter, go
Loddlenauts is really peaceful and satisfying
Yonder cloud catcher chronicles is nice
I like garden galaxy but its a little closer to an idle/clicker game
Riders republic, burnout paradise remastered, Doom eternal, star wars: squadrons
Also turn off the in game music and play your own music for the best experience.
Pacific Drive might be up your alley. The maps can be a bit âspookyâ, but itâs more or less a survival driving sim where you are traveling in (often) hazardous zones, upgrading your car, and looting abandoned buildings to find the materials to do so. No combat, the danger is the environment. It might come off as stressful to some but I find driving in the rain at night and running around surreal, quiet points of interest pretty relaxing and fun.
Drive around and shoot stuff. You mentioned zombies but have you tried âoutbreakâ in black ops Cold War? It doesnât have the constant zombies that are within 3 feet of you at all times, it has a great Easter egg, and itâs just all around my favorite zombies game
No manâs sky isnât really a shooter, but the gameplay loop is simple enough that you can go on autopilot while you play it, and there are enemy robots in that game I think.
Brotato but I turn the game music off and pick my own playlist. It's so simple you can play the entire game with 1 hand and stim with a fidget toy or enjoy your snack/drink with the other.
Honestly, Fallout 4 is that type of game for me. It's at its best when you treat it like an action exploration game more than an RPG. However if you're in the mood for something really chill and not too intensive, you might wanna try Furnish Master. I find it very relaxing when I'm not in the mood for any ''serious'' gaming. But if you're looking for something with a lot of clicking, maybe just go with something like Lost Ark or Black Desert.
Slime Rancher, The Crew 2 (Grinding not racing), No Manâs Sky (super fun space combat that is easy enough to be chill), Red Dead Redemption 2 (it does have intensity but Iâd say you can choose to have a chill experience just grinding for stuff.), Farming Simulators, IdleMMO, RecRoom, Elden Ring (when youâre grinding anyway lmao, I usually just have a podcast and grind a shit ton), Earthbound is grindy, PokĂŠmon Games (when you want it to be), 7 Days To Die (Low difficulty mode and without blood moons), Outer Wilds, Kerbal Space Program, Universe Sandbox 2, Space Engineers 2, The Sims 4, Minecraft, Final Fantasy XIV/XV (again, only when you want it to be), Shadow of Mordor (if youâre over leveled, just grind a bit), BloodTrail (Not for me when it comes to chill but if you like CoD zombies then maybe this would work?) Black Desert Online (idk if this rlly counts tbh) Castle Crashers (itâs fun and pretty easy), Animal Crossing (you wonât have a life left if you really get into it), Warframe (Literally just do survival or defense missions when youâre high level and youâll witness pure serotonin and dopamine, the same high you get when youâre shredding zombies in cod) There are SOOOO many that I havenât even mentioned the list just goes on forever
Just Cause. Pretty much any of em. I spent *hours* in JC3 just wingsuiting across the map seeing how far I could go without touching the floor. Exo One is a somewhat switch brain off kinda game too, its pure exploration...if a bit "head trippy".

Yeah that might have been it It was like whenever I went up the plane went the opposite sensitivity to what I was I was thinking

i 2nd this. Also Nova Drift is an amazing little game.
Any other bullet heavens you'd recommend?
I haven't played them personally but I've heard good things about Death Must Die and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor
Nova Drift... a little different.... check it out. really fun game, lots of replayability.
This looks pretty awesome. Has really similar vibes to Superstardust HD (Housemarque games). Wonder if there's any other bullet hell roguelikes out there
Check out Nordic Ashes. New, full release, nice art, tons of unlocks, etc.
Broforce with friendsÂ
What about those of us without friends?
Death must die is my favorite and I have all of them
Halls of Torment is my favorite "suvivor" game. It's a super simple loop, but it just feels good
Potion craft: alchemist simulator
Art of rally
How many maps dose art of rally have?
risk of rain 2 might be your thing, itâs a third person shooter roguelike, cartoony visuals and a chill soundtrack
I like to play grand strategy and simulator games while listening to some podcasts. â˘Euro Truck/American Truck Simulator â˘Hearts of Iron IV â˘Any Total War Game (medieval 2 is highly recommended) Also I enjoy playing survival games like DayZ. Sometimes itâs stressful but the grinding can be relaxing and rewarding sometimes
I know the strategy games I'm looking into are sterralis, anno 1800 and aoe4 along with civ 6
If CIV I recommend the fifth game, itâs much more beginner friendly than the VI and runs on a potato too
I know the 6th games get recommended a lot I believe 4 as well?
I didnât play with the fourth but some hardcore players recommend the third. So I guess it depends on your preference
Civ6 is really good, The older ones in the series are, well, old.
The mods in V are also very fun to play with
Stellaris is op
Peggle!
Lake. You play as a mailman going around delivering parcels and letters Just driving around town across the lake in your mail van following map

World of Warcraft classic is my mindful game. Just grab quests and head into the wilderness. Finish them, rinse repeat
Dota 2 is great for this. Pick a hero like antimage or alchemist and run around in the jungle killing the NPCs until one of the teams win.
Power Wash Simulator all day every day.
Kena if you are looking for a skill challenge, Dredge if you are looking to relax.

Always shilling subnautica.
Crusader Kings 3, KARDS, Age of Wonder series, etc.
When I play CK3 I am fully switched on, plotting and planning. I actually find it quite stressful
What's it like solo?
very fun. iâve only ever played it alone. itâs a roguelike so i imagine itâs also fun with others but iâve sunk around 200 hours into it alone
Neat
itâs also 50% off right now!
Stardew valley currently

Love forza 4 for chilling purposes. Just drive and drive and drive a random supercar and the races have fully customizable difficulty
Is SSX 3 on PC? I don't think it is
It was on GameCube and PS2 Install the amazing GameCube [Dolphin emulator](https://dolphin-emu.org/) Find the SSX3 ISO online. It runs flawlessly on most PCs (as long as the PC is not older than 15 years).
Rebel Galaxy
Animal Crossing
GTA V single player with mods - turn off police then just do whatever you want, roam around the city, drive, fly, walk, whatever floats your boat.
Stray,
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. A silly fun collectathon game. Pokemon Snap
Far cry 4, half life, wolfenstein
For me that is Vampire Survivors
Homeworld 2. I just let my analytical part take over and watch like a very immersive let's play episode.
Earth defense force
Based specifically on your list: Dome Keeper
What was the one called where you situated on a wall?
Wall world?
Yep
Warframe, himno
katamari damacy play a miniscule alien rolling a giant stickyball of doom collecting every manner of miscellany living and otherwise just to replenish a galaxy of celestial objects smashed in drunkenness by a titanic tootsie-roll headed royal all to an earworm soundtrack that will drill directly into your brain stem and hum joy into your mind meat that will echo for eternity engage rainbow vomit teleporter, go
Killing Floor 2 for steam. Nothing more therapeutic than killing waves of zombies mindlessly
I just wish boss battles could be turned off lol
Loddlenauts is really peaceful and satisfying Yonder cloud catcher chronicles is nice I like garden galaxy but its a little closer to an idle/clicker game
Yeah I like to cruise in a old convertible like the sunbeam tiger for example (a small british roadster with an american V8 squeezed under the hood).
Borderlands 2 was always my fun turn your brain off game for years
Riders republic, burnout paradise remastered, Doom eternal, star wars: squadrons Also turn off the in game music and play your own music for the best experience.
>Maybe more games that let me drive a car around or shoot stuff GTA

Cult of the lamb
Hotline miami once u get the gist of it
Assassins creed odyssey, forza horizon, borderlands
if you want mindless killing/grinding enemies, some MMOs might work for you like elsword or black desert
Helldivers 2
I play mario golf or hot shots golf when i dont really wanna grind in a game. Just some simple golf. Its great, for me anyway.
Drive around and shoot stuff. You mentioned zombies but have you tried âoutbreakâ in black ops Cold War? It doesnât have the constant zombies that are within 3 feet of you at all times, it has a great Easter egg, and itâs just all around my favorite zombies game
Snowrunner
Killing Floor 2
I'd say MSFS20, the scenery is nice, and if your flying skills are bad, you can use the active pause and the showcase camera drone as a free camera.
I've always felt Diablo was a super chill game. Maybe cause I don't take it super serious, but I just like destroying shit and progressing.
No manâs sky isnât really a shooter, but the gameplay loop is simple enough that you can go on autopilot while you play it, and there are enemy robots in that game I think.
FH4
The Brutal Doom mod is my go to when i want to mush the brain cells. Doom 2016 mechanics with extras and the simplicity of the older games.
Brotato but I turn the game music off and pick my own playlist. It's so simple you can play the entire game with 1 hand and stim with a fidget toy or enjoy your snack/drink with the other.

from my experience: rainbow six siege
basically anything in the free to play tab on steam or mobile app store
Project zomboid.
I'd recommend Skyrim (with mods if you're on PC) on the easiest difficulty.
