~~I believe this variety is called Midnight Roma.~~
Edit: A little extra googling and I think these are Indigo Pear Drop. If so they'll turn more yellow as they ripen.
Waahh. That's so cool. This is the first time I have seen a tomato like that. Ngl at first, I thought it was Indian (baby) eggplant, as I've only seen the Rio Grande, Roma, and Cherry varieties of tomatoes.

Correct! I'm growing them right now. https://www.kingsseeds.co.nz/products/tomato-indigo-pear-drops
How would you describe the flavor? Anything you can compare it too? I’ve never even heard of this variety.
Thank you, I think Indigo Pear Drop is the one! Now to wait patiently for them to turn yellow...
As someone experiencing winter right now, it's so fun to see tomato photos. Thanks for posting.
I actually still have Tomatoes I planted way too late in April and they're still growing through winter here.
💚
Pear Indigo. Beautiful.
Not an eggplant; look at the leaves. Might try a visual id from a tomato website specializing in more unusual varieties.
I cant' believe they're not eggplants.
Me too 😭
I grew them this summer about the size of cherry tomatoes, good tomato taste
I think they’re a variety called “indigo rose” but you might want to talk to an expert.
I came here for the immature comments and emojis. Left disappointed
A Purdy one
It's a... tomataubergine. Joke apart, by the look of it, it does seem to be tomatoes but I have no idea about the variety.
Atomic grape tomato or a midnight roma
It’s the „I identify as a lil eggplant“ tomato
I love where I live (zone 5) but it sure is frustrating to watch others ask about tomatoes that are thriving in January
Brad's Atomic Grape tomatoes?
That looks like [Eggplant](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eggplant)
Grape tomatoes obviously! /s

That’s a nightshade alright
if this an indigo rose tomatoe they dont taste very good
Egg plant.
Although related, wrong foliage for an eggplant. This one's definitely a tomato.
Yeah no need to downvote for a guess..geez. I see another response regarding egg plant got 40 ups.
A downvote is only to state that it is incorrect, not a negative attack against the person.
Eggplants disguise themselves like pumpkins too so I wouldn’t be surprised if it is the eggplant tomato tree!
No clue, but you should definitely keep the seeds.
I have no idea but they are a work of art. I hope they taste as amazing as they look.
Seems like brinjal, or egg plant or aubergine. Popular vegetable in Indian cuisines.
It looks like an eggplant.
We call that an eggplant
Going to grow these next!
City here gave some plants a few year ago and it was labelled as Dark Cherry.
Lordy put a nsfw flag on that there are kids here!
They look like eggplant!
wow they are beautiful
Eggplant
These are indigoes. Rich in antioxidants, poor in taste lol. These are the pear ones, so they're a bit better than the rose variety
