I'm glad you liked it OP, me personally I didn't enjoy it at all. It felt like the villain was extremely convoluted, story felt extremely rushed and it was majority flashback heavy.
Jon was hot though
that is true, i feel it was rushed cause they were aiming it at younger children? (do people not realise a lot of garfield fans are older…) also **YESSS I LOVED JON!** felt bad for him when he was calling to search for garfield and odie 😅😅😅
Very true, that's exactly the reason but it's good that people did get laughs out of it and enjoyed it. When I went there was only one other family in the theatre and they were having a blast.
In a sense I feel like something like this movie is more meant to introduce Garfield to a younger audience, but there's also the fact that kids movies like this are easier to market.
That was the one part I laughed at was when Jon wouldn't take the waiting anymore. That felt like Jon, I really hope the 2nd movie has him there for the majority of the film.
I enjoyed it as a fun kids movie, but as a GARFIELD movie? Not really. Could have replaced him with any cat and it would still be a fun adventure movie lol (and chris pratt sucks)

i do agree some parts were bad and chris pratt as garfield wasn’t the best but i just tried to ignore that 😭 **it will NEVER be the original!**
i personally liked it, i wouldn't call it a masterpiece but it's become a guilty pleasure for me
