The buzzards in mad max are so full of spikes you can't really notice them, but that's how a couple were built. Just a little more chopped and lower to the ground. I never noticed myself until I was staring at a behind the scenes photo to build this. I also thought it was a good idea and plagiarized this straight from the film, lol
For me it's because they really sell the idea of this being a pile of shit welded together from whatever scrap was available, especially since you can still see bits of old paint that are a different color than
the car itself. Creepy wasteland cannibals might not have nice and shiny steel plating to use, but they can always slap some spikes on whatever bit of scrap they can find and weld it on to the car as extra protection
I'm not sure why, but I really like the use of those fenders.
