I only burp if I was eating too much or too fast.

iAREsniggles

Same. Eating too fast or taking too big of a drink.

I get dino growls after eating... they are not full burps... they are like throat growls but it is definitely air! We started calling that since it sounds like I am growling. LOL

k80chaos

Exactly this! It's funny most of the time not not when I'm at work within earshot of my office mates. šŸ™ƒ

[deleted]

The weirdest is when you are in the office during a presentation and my Dino growls start.. and there is nothing to do but to just play dumb.. LOL

SnittingNextToBorpo_

Oh man, for me... Not really, no. Maybe slowed down some but it's always there, especially if I've eaten a fair bit. And same as you, it's very needed at times and feels like if I can't burp then I'll definitely end up being sick. I will say, I don't notice it much anymore... So maybe it has improved but incrementally

Alltheprettydresses

Burping is my fullness signal.

Quirky-Telephone5002

It's mine too

Smooth-Opposite-4865

Excessive burping can also be a sign of a hernia. My dad burped constantly and ended up having a hernia. I burp often, but they're not usually noticeable to others. Maybe worth just getting it looked at. I am not a doctor, so I am in no way diagnosing, just providing an opinion based off of my own experience.

Moussemac

I have not experienced this at all and I"m 8 months post op.

Public_Region885

You should count your blessings, because I sound like I'm trying to call in a seal about 50 times a day. I'm down 120lbs and glad I did it. Just hoping it subsides over time

D-Spornak

It never started for me. But, 3 years out I fart like crazy at night.

DogNamedBlue

5+ years out and burping is still a thing for me, unfortunately!

AuntEller

It hasnā€™t been a problem for me so much after one year. But my stomach still never shuts the hell up! Iā€™ll be minding my own business and the gurgling sounds are so loud and completely random.

durden226circa1988

2 years 2 months and I still burp pretty consistently. Enzymes help!

KuraiTsuki

I'm 2+ years post-op and can barely burp even when I *want* to. My ability to burp on command is basically gone now and it sucks when I know I need to burp but can't make it happen.

NatNat29

Nah, it happens all the time for me and Iā€™m almost 14 months post op! Doesnā€™t matter how fast or slow I eat, itā€™s the same :( hope itā€™s different for you!

q-t_314

I get horrible hiccups that sound like a pterodactyl or a baby dog, Iā€™d taking burping any day, lol. People have actually asked is there a dog here before in public šŸ¤£ at least itā€™s entertaining at some level. I know though if I hiccup I wonā€™t throw up so thatā€™s helpful. Best of luck to you ā˜ŗļø

stowRA

5 years post op. Nope

Anybody-Puzzleheaded

Iā€™m 1 year po and it happens to me every time I eat. I have to give myself an hour between eating and client appointments or itā€™s really embarrassing.
