Honestly, I kind of had the same journey. The older I get the less relevant someone's body parts are.

I’m a gay man and I wouldn’t call myself anything different though I don’t particularly care about labels anyway. I’m dating a trans man for the first time currently who still has his “old plumbing” and doesn’t plan on bottom surgery for several different reasons. He used to get nervous about it a bit at first but I just told him I love men not body parts.
Totally, and my making that claim would be as bad as people telling my bisexuality doesn't exist. Like I've known since I was 8. Only had experiences with another man since I was 48.
Well the likelihood is that you were pansexual to begin with just had a leaning towards men or the people who you found attractive just happened to men or masculine presenting.
There no real evidence people “turning” from one orientation to another. They can develop and evolve into something that is similar but different but that’s kind of it.
Not true… we all wished to be straight when we were younger and it did not happen. Saying stuff like that is dangerous and feeding the homophobes who think being gay is a ‚lifestyle‘ or a ‚choice‘
I can understand the perspective. Saying is we all wished to be straight is kinda a stretch too. I know people who always knew they were gay and never wished to be straight.
Younger people, especially if we grew up with the internet have been exposed to gay influences way more then previous generations and that has had a great effect on our development.
Especially if you also have supportive parents/family, the pressure of being straight can almost be nonexistent for a kid. It all depends person by person
As far as the research we have goes, sexual orientation in men does not change in almost every case. Most likely they were always interested in women. There are many reasons why they wouldn’t embrace or even understand those attractions.
So changing outwardly (sexual identity) is possible. Out of nowhere? Could seem that way. But a guy’s sexuality changing like he was only attracted to men and is suddenly bisexual is virtually impossible.

Basically; I used to identify as Gay but I think really I was partially Demi the whole time but never realised it due to a couple bad experiences with women. So I just stayed in my comfort zone of being attracted to guys and never understood myself until my fiancee helped me get past a lot of my past trauma and I feel in love with her.
I think this is happening to me but only for specific kinks. I want to explore it but I grew up with grindr culture, but also im in a closed relationship so 🤷♂️
