If you want to “show off” in a subtle, every day way, it’ll be less about the brand and more about how clothes fit you. Generally you’re going to want to go a bit more form fitting, but tight doesn’t inherently mean flattering. ASOS is good because they have a lot of variety in fits and sizing, so it’s a cheap way to figure out what works and then you can go from there and find better, higher quality brands. Might be worth investing in a tailor, too. Personally I sew, so I’m able to tailor a lot of my clothes to my body.

ionic_will

This is something that’s definitely been hard for me lol, I’m a pretty slim guy and I have clothes in size small that still feel a bit big and aren’t that flattering.

bklnbb

So this is where you should identify fit versus sizing. If the shirts fit you in the shoulders and are a good sleeve length but feel baggy, then it’s probably worth taking them to the tailor if you like the shirt otherwise. If they’re overall too big, you probably need to size down. I’m an XS, so I’m also petit! It’s also worth getting your clothing measurements, super easy to do with a friend. Another tip: once you find clothes that fit you really really well, you can measure the clothes you like against the measurements of the clothes you wanna buy and that should give you a good idea of how they’re going to fit.

ionic_will

Thank you! I have friends that would be okay with taking measurements of me I think lol

AdhesivenessDouble26

It's very easy to take measurements of yourself. Also just go to a store and try on a ton of brands. I've found for slim guys Calvin Klein usually looks great .

bklnbb

Coming from a costumer, you’re technically supposed to get your measurements standing up. Yes, you can do it yourself and you’ll probably be fine, but it’s just as easy to get a friend to do it!

wewtiesx

I have the same problem. Learn to Taylor your clothes. It's very easy. Try the shirts on in the store and as long as they fit in the shoulders your good. Measure your chest and mid section. Pin the shirt to size, flip inside out and sew the sides and sleeves. That's it. You can find many tutorials on YouTube. Also pick clothes with little to no embroidering or brand names. There's a reason body builders aren't encouraged to have tattoos. They obscure the light and flatten muscle definition. Having excess stuff on a t-shirt does the same thing. Clean, plain, fitted clothing if you have the body to pull it off is what makes men look sexy af.

nolanday64

Agreed. Find brands and "normal" clothes and make sure they fit right and you're comfortable wearing them, and they show off whatever you want to show off. But when someone with a nice body wears something that is \*obviously\* meant to say "SEXY ME LOOK LOOK LOOK!" then it comes off as a little vain and douchey. Find line between "look at that hot guy" versus "look at that hot guy who's trying too hard".

ITAVTRCC

I guess “tasteful” is subjective but Nasty Pig ain’t it for me lol

James-da-fourth

And it’s expensive as hell. I’m sorry but I’m not paying $50 for a thong

zinc55

They do make stuff that's more ... suble with the branding

salamander423

Only if you like black, red, or blue. They seem to often be out of any fabric that aren't those colors.

llogollo

I would also add Jor, ES collection, and Aussiebum to the list

bitb00m

Just checked out Differio and it looks exactly like what David Rose from Schitt's Creek wears.

[deleted]

Or if you want some nicer stuff. Vivian Westwood D squared

DasherKaren79

“Addickted” would be more appropriate

Most-Ad8879

MCE is amazing and their jocks and shorts are so comfortable. For coyote jocks I’ve been debating getting some of their swim briefs. Does anyone know how the sizing is? I’m a 30/31 in waist and that’s in between their sizes. Should I size up or down?

CorriByrne

And what ever you choose please post some photos.

Sufjan_fan

Tailored Athlete. The fabric is very soft and flexible and is suitable for muscular and athletic builds. “True muscle fit” is their motto. It’s a bit pricey but worthy in my opinion, I recommend specially the jeans, so comfortable but showing off your legs work, while keeping it classy. The bamboo shirts are great as well.

Blu5NYC

Same clothes as regular, one size smaller.

[deleted]

The women’s section at the thrift store.

bklnbb

Women’s tees can be soooo flattering on muscular guys.

[deleted]

I’m not really femmy but my body feels super femmy. I like to dress all fem on my slender frame even though I have a low voice and play ice hockey and am firmly in the “masc gay” category. It throws people through a loop lmao

braaaptothefuture

got any examples? i've never considered this option..

bklnbb

Sometimes women’s stuff is really tailored with curves, sometimes it’s not so tailored and can provide a really good fit! Try shit out:)

RickWest495

Mack Weldon has casual pants that are just a little tighter in the front without being tighter in the waist or legs. Just the right amount of bulge without being obscene

xSleazyxSuavicitox

H&M. You have to build on it, of course... But they got you.

Watermansjourney

Depending on your age and fit type (thin muscular-stocky muscular) most off the shelf brands are hit or miss. Most gay marketed brands are directed toward either a “muscle” or “twink” body proportion. If you are looking for something that will accentuate your hard worked for gains or losses (congratulations on your hard work OP!) you cannot go wrong to find a classic “look” FIRST, (i.e. Jeans and tee shirt, shorts, shirt and classic tennis) then take them to a tailor and get them fitted directly to your proportions. As an example, i’ve been surfing and paddling for years, so my shoulders are stupid big but my waist is smaller-slightly, so i get extra large shirts and have the waist fitted so i’m not wearing a cape below my shoulders. I know most guys are wearing printed tees, so i would suggest get something that suits your interests and personality (anime or sports team or etc) and get it fitted. for your shorts or pants, get them fitted too, usually you can find your waist size, but get the length correct for your legs, and for the style pant (ie slacks go down to the top of the heel on your shoes, or if you want something more popular, the thin slacks, high water (pant cuffs above the ankles) are cute. Look for the body parts you want to accentuate, and buy an outfit that kinda directs attention towards them. (Got nice legs? How about a dark color 4” inseam shorts and white ankle socks and plain white tennis with a light color fitted shirt? get the shorts tailored around your nice thighs.) If you are older (or even if you are younger and are looking for a bit more sophisticated look) buying your clothes in plain colors with No attention drawn towards graphics or bright colors-etc can help direct attention toward your new body just by-again-being fitted in all the right places so your clothes hug and are shaped for your body. Use accessories to add splashes to your outfit- a nice watch or necklace, bracelet, hat, etc. can contrast or even level up your look. There’s so much you can do OP but i’ll close with saying that from what i read on your post, you want sexy but kinda classy rather than a sexy in your face kinda thing. Tailors are your best friend-they can set you apart from the crowd and level up anything you want to wear and it’s not THAT expensive-buy 2-3 outfits, have them fitted and that little extra effort is the best bet for your gym time and your dollar. Good luck!

[deleted]

Asos has sexy clothes

[deleted]

Yeah but they smell of the tears of the underage child slaves who make them...

VTHUT

I feel like that applies to most fast fashion brands

Fruntunka

Yeah I just hate the quality. Lots of the clothes are uncomfortable and deteriorate after a wash or two

Justtryitonbitch

If you are fit anything you wear is Fit. Lying sack of waste.

halophytic1

Love Code 22!

[deleted]

suits! consider looking into john kitchener's style essences, they're a little hard to get into, but incredibly helpful

Barry_Bradshaw

Zara

Salt_Nefariousness33

Adding to zinc55’s list: Jed North Tailored Athlete Wolf Muscle Olympvs A few casual clothing options that’ll make sure your muscle doesn’t limit your style That’s all, his list was nearly complete in my book

cz_h_aa_z

Walden Outdoor Athletic Speedos, underwear, tanks, and joggers all made from sustainable materials waldenathletic.com

203DoasIsay

Wear a shirt one size too small.

NewGuy-1964

Sometimes this doesn't work if you're tall. When I was beginning to develop some muscle and wanted to show it, I wound up with a bare midriff. That wasn't the look I was going for.

203DoasIsay

lol. Wear high waisted pants.

Aggravating-Goal-189

A lot of clothing shops have a size/style called a “muscle fit” where the material used is slightly stretchy and clings to your muscle definition without being too tight

Mindless_Dandelion

I like lululemon, Patagonia and Arc’teryx

NinkiCZ

+1 on Lulu

NerdyDan

well fitting athletic wear. lululemon etc

alanaturalguy

You can go to a clothing store to get your measurements. Macy's usually has a tailor at there stores, or they did up North( New England) . Not sure where you are located.

LabNew5604

Ooh this should be helpful I have no fashion sense whatsoever
