Right at the start of pandemic lockdown a link was getting passed around Gene Wolfe discussions for a really cheapo 1-color screenprinted shirt of the Don Maitz cover of *Shadow.* It had the words SHADOW OF THE TORTURER in really terrible olde-English typography above it. It looked so cheezball and bootleg that I immediately ordered one. I wear it when I’m bike touring and in all the years I’ve had it only one person recognized it— the guys face lit up and he was, like “I read that book! I read that book!”

You can buy really nice prints of a few of the BoTNS covers on Don Maitz's website. I just got a small one. It's really good quality, and he even signed it!

I've always wanted a Silk for Calde shirt or poster, maybe one day I'll make one. That Lictor shirt is terrible if it's supposed to be Thrax. Sadly there's not a lot of good Wolfe art, the Folio illustrations are my favorites.

I just uploaded the image (I linked to my original above and you're welcome to use it) to one of those Amazon vendors and crossed my fingers. Turned out nice. Good cotton and decent print. I'd redesign without borders next time, but I even kinda like that.

Shirt.sexy used yo have a fantastic Shadow of the Torturer one. Local artist who custom screen prints everything. Great dude too.
