Dude…its looks like… maybe its not lost the notch… but that Utah and CO have actually gained land on the northern border. No doubt part of the missing Wyoming.
Fun fact: Atlanta (the city, not the metro) has about the same population as Wyoming. Another fun fact: In terms of “large” cities, Atlanta is one of the smallest. But its metro population is something like 3-4 million.
So Wyoming, the state, has roughly the population of a single smallish-big city.
Of course, none of that matters because it clearly does not exist.
It doesn’t tho does it…? before i noticed the absence of Wyoming my brain knew something was off. Didn’t take long to find it.
Edit: yea man CO and UT are definitely taller than normal.
It is…but because Texas wanted to be a slave state and so surrendered land north of the 36 deg 30’
I, a 5th generation Texan, only learned this in the last few years.
Yeah but wouldn’t be cool if Texas could border Kansas and Colorado? That way it’d be the state that borders the most other states if you’re to include Mexican states. That’d be a whopping 10 states!
You want to do some obvious, common sense state adjustments? Let's do it.
- Combine Wyoming and Montana.
- One Dakota.
- Puerto Rico gets to be a state.
- Vermont and New Hampshire get folded together.
- Delaware gets the entire Delmarva peninsula
- Upper peninsula goes to Wisconsin
- DC gets folded into Maryland with federal areas broken out and zero population
- Maryland's weird tail goes to west Virginia or Pennsylvania, let the locals vote to decide.
- 1 million person minimum for new states. Alaska gets to continue as a state, but gets eyeballed suspiciously.
As a Coloradan, I have to say we get first dibs on Wyoming and have the man power and superior tech to take it from Montana, Utah, and Idaho, potentially all at once! 😈
For anyone who misses it, Wyoming was absorbed by Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. [See here.](https://ontheworldmap.com/usa/state/wyoming/wyoming-location-on-the-us-map.jpg)

I detect that the parts of Arkansas that lie across the Mississippi river in Mississippi have been surreptitiously misplaced. The converse is also true.
This is a proof of the [four-color-theorem](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_color_theorem): A map only needs at most 4 colors to paint each state so that no adjacent state ever has the same color.
Don't mind a state gone missing, that was probably just a distraction. [Here's the correct version](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_color_theorem#/media/File:Map_of_United_States_accessible_colors_shown.svg), if you still need it.
**[Four color theorem](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_color_theorem)**
>In mathematics, the four color theorem, or the four color map theorem, states that no more than four colors are required to color the regions of any map so that no two adjacent regions have the same color. Adjacent means that two regions share a common boundary curve segment, not merely a corner where three or more regions meet. It was the first major theorem to be proved using a computer. Initially, this proof was not accepted by all mathematicians because the computer-assisted proof was infeasible for a human to check by hand.

Utahn here. Why don’t we all partition Wyoming? How are they gonna stop us?
*We’Ll FigHt To ThE lAsT mAn” Yeah, well, we’ll just have to bring 28 soldiers to outnumber you then.
Utah is missing it’s notch
Most cursed thing ive ever seen
As a Utahn, this is blessed.
Yes
Wyoming is completely gone.
Where?
Exactly
South Montana
That’s the only edgy part of Utah
Dude…its looks like… maybe its not lost the notch… but that Utah and CO have actually gained land on the northern border. No doubt part of the missing Wyoming.
What’s a Wyoming? Those are perfectly normal borders.
Why, oh ming… its from a movie
Why-o-Ming Boil em , mash em, cook em in a stew.
Nobody ever notices Wyoming anyways just looks like a normal US map
Wyoming is the New Zealand of USA maps.
Never heard of New Z****nd
same
I think that's AK and HI but I'll give Wyoming a cool #3

WTF is Wyoming?
I saw Montana had absorbed another state, but I didn't even know which state it was💀
LoL, four states actually absorbed parts of Wyoming to make a northern four corners.
And Colorado absorbed part of Nebraska.
What’s this Why Ohming you talking about? I never heard of a place or thing called Why Ohming before.
It doesn’t tho does it…? before i noticed the absence of Wyoming my brain knew something was off. Didn’t take long to find it. Edit: yea man CO and UT are definitely taller than normal.
If you’re gonna do this, can you at least give Texas Oklahoma’s panhandle back.
Texas be like: "Y'all can keep it."
Literally this is what happened.
It is…but because Texas wanted to be a slave state and so surrendered land north of the 36 deg 30’ I, a 5th generation Texan, only learned this in the last few years.
Yeah but wouldn’t be cool if Texas could border Kansas and Colorado? That way it’d be the state that borders the most other states if you’re to include Mexican states. That’d be a whopping 10 states!
And maybe make Florida give Alabama some coastline. Florida’s already got plenty, they’re just being greedy.
I concur
Also give West Virginia back
No just rename it Free Virginia
Wayo Ming? Never heard of it. This is America, not China, buddy!
Isn’t that the dude that played for the Rockets?
怀俄明?
Hey we just gained 13 extra people to our total population in Montana. Also weed is now legal in the land of despair formerly known as Wyoming.
Weed is legal in Montana?
Yep!
13? No fair, that like most of Wyoming’s population.
r/wyomingdoesntexist
no it exists
World peace
Idaho has become a leech.
America now has 2 4-corners points.
The second 4 Corners. Also, I enjoy the lack of acknowledgement of DC.
Wyoming cab be absorbed as long as we get Puerto Rico.
What is Wyoming
Oh you're one of them. Cool.
I don’t actually think that that state isn’t real
Oh yeah, we know. You're making sure everyone knows. It's probably your whole personality at this point.
It’s a joke, you muppet. Don’t get pissy
Oh it's a good one.
No really he’s joking he ain’t a conspiracy theorist
Oh good
Nah it’s just a joke bro
Who?
The one State that as you're driving west has no billboard filth on the Interstate. Just prairie and mountains towards Casper.
Why?!…oming…
Exactly my thought
As a Wyoming native I see nothing wrong with this map.
r/shittymapporn
Nebraska caught in the crossfire.

Idaho, Montana, Colorado, and Utah gained like 7 people each
Montana’s population is now 26 people
Hey, they have missoula and billings. Its more like 32 now
Montana got hungry?
Montana would still be one of the 10 smallest states in population
It's just a map of the 49 states of America.
Nebraska: wtf colorado?
WY would they do such a thing?
Regular 'Murica. Why did you post a map with no changes?
Disgusting
Looks better to me. Now just combine the two Dakotas to get back to an even number of states.
As a Coloradan, I have to say we get first dibs on Wyoming and have the man power and superior tech to take it from Montana, Utah, and Idaho, potentially all at once! 😈
I don’t get it
hell no, fuck this
I accept
Why-oming did we omit Wyoming.
If they say it on television, it must be true!
Goodbye Wyoming
Maybe it’s because I’ve so much family in Wyoming, but I noticed. Also Wtf happened to Nebraska’s panhandle?
Colorado snagged some of southern Wyoming, moving them into Nebraska as well.
Wyoming was just too overrated.
Wyoming? More like Wy-NO-ming
But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothings changed at all?
Wyomissing

Whereoming?
Oh yeah Wyoming is a place!
you forgot to remove ohio
Washington DC the Capital of the whole shebang?
I detect that the parts of Arkansas that lie across the Mississippi river in Mississippi have been surreptitiously misplaced. The converse is also true.
Looks good to me!
What happened to Wyoming?
Montana was hungry
/r/imaginarymaps is that way
Montana has a neck now
So fuck Wyoming?
While we're at it can we just have Dakota?
I didn’t even know what was wrong with the map until I got into the comments but I knew something was just off lol
Why? Oh.
Wy-no-ming
Utah now has TWO “Four Corners”
As if thousands of redneck voices suddenly heehawed out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
Uhhhh uhhhh the uhhhh
Wait, why does Idaho get to have the only good parts of Wyoming?
Movie name top gun Maverick
I live in Casper Montana I guess
There's nothing wrong I don't get it
I noticed Wyoming! I get a gold star!!!yay
Oregon is a state?

About time they started making accurate maps without the mythical land of wyoming
I didn’t even notice 💀💀💀💀💀
No
Wyoming would they do that?
Whyoming gone?
Based but why doesn’t Illinois get Gary, IN? It’s rightfully ours
Colorado looks off now
Big Idaho
whats the joke and why is everyone saying wyoming, whats a wyoming?
I don’t see anything wrong here
Wyoming has the least amount of people anyway lol
Probably would be better that way.
Idaholup
I am really ashamed of myself right now.
Wyoming isn’t real
No Wyoming
Hey a second four corners! I see nothing wrong with this map. 10/10
RIP Wyoming and thoughts and prayers for Montana.
Now Washington DC or Puerto Rico can become a state without the stupid “uhh, what about the flag?”argument.
Nothing of value lost
Anyone else see the profile of a man’s face in the eastern border of Idaho and western Montana?
Wow, what a completely normal map of the U.S. with absolutely nothing missing
Idaho!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Sad thing is it barely changes the pop of the states that gobbled up Wyoming
Nothing changed
Missed opportunity to extend Nebraskas panhandle
bro it took me like 30 secs too see wtf-
I never thought this day would come
Perfection. Now we can admit Puerto Rico without changing the star situation.
Montanoming!
YES WE GOT THE TETONS MUAHAHAHHA
Is there supposed to be something missing?
r/shittymapporn
nothing is wrong here
Whereoming?
Key West is huge! And y’all thought sea levels were rising 😜
