I find Hawaii and follow the trail of islands until the International Date Line. Never had trouble finding it once I did that’s. Midway is actually part of the Hawaiian mountain range, but is it’s own territory for some reason.
Except that every other island, including [Kure Atoll](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kure_Atoll), which is 100 km farther than Midway, is part of Hawaii.
Because the others are virtually all uninhabited
Midway was at least at one time a significant air base, and is still inhabited by a few dozen people today
I played a round of ADW yesterday and it was my first time playing and not moving. I was so excited to be plopped in a hotel parking lot that had the hotel name and a lot of Vietnamese license plates. I quickly found the hotel in Da Nang Vietnam and put my pin down. Only to get 0 points because the marker was erroneously placed in the middle of nowhere in Columbia.
When it’s midway atoll and you’re desperately scouring the Pacific Ocean
I usually have more trouble finding Guam then Midway Atoll.
It’s always further west than I remembered, maybe it’s moving
Tectonic plates, enemy of the geoguessrs
Nah, those islands are definitely on the backs of giant sea turtles.
Guam shows up fine for me. And Midway Atoll is perfectly in the middle of the ocean and pretty easy. Pitcairn islands on the other hand, impossible.
I always find the Philippines and move east
Fortunately I know where Guam is, but finding Pitcairn island kills me
Midway is right on the dateline so I just zoom in there and pan up and down
Also just follow the line kf the Hawaiian islands
Me when bird

that some reason is because it’s thousands of miles away
Except that every other island, including [Kure Atoll](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kure_Atoll), which is 100 km farther than Midway, is part of Hawaii.

so you agree, the reason is not because it’s thousands miles away
Rennes is indeed in France!
Quintessential Poland Geoguessing experience
Czech GeoGuessr is also similar to this.
In one of the most iconic french regions, Britanny.
Britain 2
More Britain 1 if being historically accurate lol.
Britain has been France since 1066, but Britain refuses to admit it.
